Chainsaw arrived promptly – reasonably priced – strongly built with powerful engine and sharp chain. Manual easy to follow and saw was easy to assemble. Started first pull has has done every time up to now.
Punches well above its weigh
I needed a chainsaw to get rid of a number of trees in my garden and thereafter cut the resulting trunks/branches for future firewood. I had initially borrowed a friends chainsaw which was a reputable brand however this struggled with the job at hand due to the thickness of branches. I set out looking for my own chainsaw and came across the P1PE. I don’t expect to have much use for a chainsaw once the garden is finished so the price was perfect. The reviews convinced me to take a chance on a brand I’d never heard of over the entry level chainsaws of the big brands.
Now my knowledge of chainsaws is non existent but if you handed me this and told me it was worth a lot more I’d believe you.
Assembly was quick and easy (I used the YouTube video rather than manual) and it was good to go.
It starts first time with easy (even when cold if you follow the instructions) and off you go.
It goes through logs effortlessly and made cutting up the thickest of branches a walk in the park. It even went horizontally through the trunk, which is about 1ft in diameter, without issue.

Really easy to assemble, watch the video on U-Tube it’s so easy if you do! Starts & cuts really well. So pleased I bought it. All logs cut up & ready for wood burner!
Brilliant value for the money.
OK, I know you can buy a cheaper one but you can also pay a lot more for a powerful, 20″ bar chainsaw. I’ve had several mid-price saws over the years but this one is the best by far. Easy to put together, easy to start and easy to use. It is a little on the chunky side but if you want a great value saw with a 20″ bar that will tackle green Oak with ease, look no further.

Chainsaw arrived as stipulated. The package contained all the components properly packaged. The assembly and usage instructions were easy to follow. With 30 minutes I was able to assemble it and ready to saw trees. It’s the first time I have had a chainsaw and was amazed at the ease of use. Of course, one must follow the safety advice and instructions!

This chainsaw has a 20″ bar, automatic chain lubrication and a powerful 63cc motor. Also came with a toolkit to aid assembly, plus an instruction booklet and a measuring bottle to ensure that the 25/1 petrol/oil mix is accurate. Seems very good value for the money, and first test impressions are very favourable. It even comes with a spare chain.
Amazing piece of ki
This chainsaw is amazing for its price. I was a bit shocked initially that I had to put the blade and chain on but it was straightforward. There were some starting issues initially, the started coiled did not seem to catch the carburettor. But after a few weeks, it was working like a dream. Much better than those in budget supermarkets – no names mentioned!
Good Quality
Because it was less than half the price of the one I fancied, I was worried that this chainsaw wouldn’t be up to the same standard, but it seems to me to be every bit as good as the big name brands. It was easy to assemble with clear instructions and started easily, it’s first job was to remove a huge Griselinia stump, which is rock hard, but it went through it without difficulty, the 20 inch blade was a big help. It arrived quickly and on time, seems robustly constructed, well packed with a carry bag, small tool kit and spare chain. Couldn’t be more satisfied, excellent value.

Firstly I had concerns having read about communications issues with the sellers not responding to complaints etc.
This was enhanced when the machine arrived missing the bumper spike. I contacted them and was given an immediate apology with the part sent out right away. Anyway the machine is very powerful and with a 20″ bar it means I can cut thicker trees and the chain lasts longer. The fuel consumption is a little high as you would expect with a 62cc engine and the chain oil use is also a little on the heavy side but I know this will do the job. Starts first time and is quite noisy and heavy. Easy to put together though and the carry bag is handy. I am delighted with the performance although it tends to cut out when held side on. Obviously a fuel flow angle issue but not really a concern. I would highly recommend. It comes with two chains and I have cut for several hours so far with no apparent chain failure. I did invest in an electric chain sharpener for my workshop but haven’t used it for this machine yet.

Received my new machine very promptly – next day if I remember correctly – assembly is quick and easy, all the tools are provided. I read the quick start guide as I’ve had chainsaws before and it started without any fuss. So far I’ve only used it for one small job, but it seems excellent. One small thing; the screws securing the handle; one of them was missing, but I have spares fortunately.

Had this over a year now. Price was great at the time – nothing else in price bracket seemed to match the spec or positive reviews.
It’s not the lightest with the 20inch bar but only other chainsaw I’ve used was 16inch top brand model at almost 3x the price and I bought this because I needed a tree removed and it was cheaper than hiring saw for a weekend!. Taken down several trees now up to about 30cm diameter and logged them all with no probs. I follow the instructions on cleaning after use and its still an easy start and runs great. Bit gutsier on mix and chain oil but can’t complain at price.
Easy to use
Very good chainsaw. It was the first I had every used and found it very easy to assemble and operate. Customer support is fantastic replacing a nut that was misplaced.
Reliability
Excellent product for smaller trees. Used it continuously over three days on trees up to 8 inch diameter and it was very reliable. Slight carburettor adjustment was easily done after day 1. It won’t have such intensive use from now on but it has certainly paid for itself already.

Good value 20 inch bar chainsaw
Recent purchase to get a 20″ bar saw and a more powerful motor [62cc]. This saw appears to offer good value and cuts fine. Easy start is responsive, one smooth pull and you are running with plenty of power for the bar. It’s early days but impressed so far and I expect to get good reliability from a Hyundai powered product.

I wanted a chainsaw mainly for cutting firewood and to cut down some leylandi conifers that had gotten out of control. The chainsaw arrived and I have had no problem assembling it. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I did not use the tools provided as they don’t look great but that’s no issue as I’ve yet to see high quality tools provided with any item. The chainsaw seems to be of good quality and although I don’t find it heavy it feels a reassuringly robust weight in the hands. It started first time just follow the guide. In use it cut easily through the conifers and offered no kick back or issues. My only negative so far is that the rubber seal washer for the fuel tank was no good and caused a minor leak until replaced. I will contact the manufacturer regarding this.
To follow up from my earlier review I had an immediate response from the manufacturer regards the fuel leak and a replacement cap has been sent within days. Great after service to add to my positive feelings towards this product!

Ordered Tuesday, arrived Thursday, not Prime and during Corona Pandemic, very impressive. All as described and arrived in good condition, straight forward to assemble and appears to be strong and well built. Fueled up for first time, two pulls on choke and it tried to fire, choke off and it started on next pull. Stopped it once to tighten the chain (as expected from new) and it started straight away on one pull. Small tree had been pulled up and the top taken off last year but my 14 inch saw failed to complete the job. This one removed two main growths then reduced the main stump no problem as can be seen in the photos. Only used once so early days but all looks good and so far a very good buy. Great service and product. highly recommended.

I chose this Hyundai chainsaw because it had a 20″ blade and 60cc engine. This gives it plenty of cutting power.
Decent for the money
This is a pretty good chainsaw for the money, it’s powerful and with a 20 inch bar is able to take on some fairly meaty jobs. I took on a birch tree in the garden and it has worked an absolute treat, like a hot knife through butter. I’d certainly recommend as a good quality budget chainsaw for home use, with a bit of extra clout for some bigger jobs.

Extraordinary value for money
Did some heavy duty work almost non stop. Cutting down big trees and chopping the wood. Consumes a lot of oil. Heats up, and you have to wait for it to cool down. I have the 20 inch blade.

Assembled chainsaw mixed fuel with oil , filled with chainsaw oil , primed started after 4 pulls of starter . Ran flat out could not control speed of chainsaw . Emailed Genpower UK distributor and received a reply telling me what to check , how to fix . Then started chainsaw now ok , cuts wood easily ,like a knife through butter very powerful chainsaw .

What a fabulous chainsaw for under 100!! Well built and a dream to start, 2nd pull from cold every time. Why spend 5x the amount on a Stihl when you can get this!

Excellent. I was a little wary at using a chainsaw but this was a brilliant purchase. It sawed through our 75 year old pine tree like butter. I would definitely recommend this product as a first time chainsaw user. Full of safety features and easy to use. There are a couple of things I would like to point out though. Photograph the instructions and zoom in as the instruction images are really small. The second point is, but a small funnel to pour in your fuel mix or the manufacturer could change the mixing bottle design to have a pouring tube attachment. I used a funnel I already had. Apart from these two things it is a brilliant piece of kit which works I so, so good. Free cover, 2 chains and a free mixing bottle were great to see in the box.

I thought that I’d wait before reviewing to avoid the “it was delivered promptly / it was easy to set to / I bought this as a present for my dad / it looks really good” type reviews that tell you nothing about the product itself. I bought this last year and have now completed my second year’s supply of logs – equivalent to about 2 ton bags per year. This chainsaw has been excellent, and each blade lasted a full year. It was stored over spring/summer and started first time when used again. There’s a lot of plastic in the chainsaw but it’s remarkable study. For the price I paid, this represents fantastic value for money.
A great quality chainsaw, a little on the heavy side but its built well. I chose the saw for its 62cc Hyundai engine which, as presumed gives plenty of power to lumber with ease. Assembly was straightforward. Started with ease and got through many jobs with a single tank of fuel. Chain teeth are sharp with an effective cut. Chain lube feed works well. Not as noisy as I’d have imagined.

Solid, Powerful and great value for money
The chain saw is absolutely superb. I have a number of older chain saws by different manufacturers, and this Hyundai model feels sturdier, more powerful and all round stronger than any I have owned. I was tempted by the name Hyundai, as I have a car by that manufacturer, and I am certainly not disappointed with the product. Excellent value for money, very fast delivery, and well recommended.
Back handle to small for size 10 boots! - otherwise excellent.
For the price an excellent machine – the two files sent with it, one was broken and both wrong size for chain.
Starts very well but will probably have to adjust high running sometime soon – no problem as I’m used to chain saws. One problem is that when starting it my size 10 boots wont fit in the back handle area to keep it steady!

Only used for about half an hour so far, but its fine saw for the money, plenty power. i was expecting the chain to be rubbish but it held up surprisingly well, only had an initial tightening after a few minutes, as id expect from any make of chain.

Nice chainsaw to use only one problem I found that exhaust bolts was loose ! Luckily I spotted it before using it otherwise so far so good time will tell
Cutting Stuff
Wow, this machine is a real powerhouse. The instruction video to assemble this item is first class. I followed this to a tee and voila, I have a fully operational chansaw and boy does this cut things up. Be warned though, this is a hefty item and you will need a fair amount of strengthe to wield it.
Cuts a nice log
Really pleased with this chainsaw. I bought a budget saw as only use a few times a year.
I bought this for some general log chopping jobs, and to remove a few trees from the garden, I work in a forest school and was asked to bring the chainsaw in so our works chainsaw dude could make sure it was safe and not going to explode, after first start and tree felled he didn’t believe I only paid 100 for this, and he has had me making benches and cutting bits up, off next week to start tree felling under supervision, I think I’m only going so he can steal my chainsaw, 2 guys from work will be ordering these beasts
Good value, powerful and build quality as expected
I bought this chainsaw after years of using a Stihl saw, which I have had for 25 years. I bought the new one as a back up for occasional heavy duty use.
The Hyundai is a very powerful and heavy saw. I have only used it today but it assembled and started easily. The chains are poor quality and stretch and blunt quickly. I also found that when using the saw on the right side, it would stall, presumably due to the position of the fuel pick up as it improved after fully topping up with fuel.
In terms of value, if it keeps running with the power it has, it should be a good investment as soon as I fit a good quality chain. For routine use, something smaller (my old Stihl) is easier to handle.
If you are new to chainsaws this is one to be wary of in my view – it is powerful!
Good saw when it works warranty useless.
Starts but dosent run at fast speed plus cuts out when it’s on its side returned it to be fixed came back saying the petrol intake tube was blocking the filter supposedly fixed did exactly the same returned again cant find anything wrong but charging me 42 return postage.taking it toasted repair shop to build it and test it while I’m there viewing it incase fault persist then I will demand my money back plus 42 charged and the amount for having it built and tested.my advice video it if anything wrong as evidence some use a 2 year warranty.

Easy to put together after watching the excellent online video. The machine seems very sturdy and well constructed. Had some problems starting the chainsaw, but this was no worse than any 2stroke pull start machine that I have used. This chainsaw is quite heavy compared to the smaller Ryobi 16 inch I previously used. While testing the machine by cutting some logs I had a couple of “kick backs”. Maybe I need to have more revs on the machine! Overall, very happy with the machine which is excellent value.
What a cracker!
Super little machine and very competively priced. Easy to start and use, even by a novice like me. Very impressed and could buy 4 machines for the price of the leading manufacturers. You obviously have a 12 month warranty, which makes them nearly disposable if they fail. Time will tell on that point, but thus far spectacular!
Marvellous value. This big chainsaw came in record time and easily assembled so long as one reads the instructions carefully. Once I had fuelled it with the correct mixture and added oil, I was amazed at how little effort was required to start it. At first there was no sign that the chain was being oiled, so I adjusted the screw to increase it and the problem was solved The performance was beyond all expectations! I have been using a top of the range German brand, and have three. They are all difficult to start, This Hyundai powered PiPe 6220c is amazingly easy to start and cut through beech logs up to 20″ thick with ease. Wish I had owned one like this years ago!
Nice and easy to use.
Nice chainsaw, following instructions it starts 1time even when frosty outside. As per instructions chain will need retensioning when used for first few times (as do all) This is very easy to do ! Chain cuts very well, that engine hardly ever needed at max revs on trigger. Assembly is straight forward and tools provided for what is needed.

I was a little reluctant initially to order this saw, but after prevaricating went ahead anyway. I`m glad I did. A fantastic bit of kit. Started second pull out of the box. First load of logs cut with ease.
Good product, works well and well packed
Nice item with it’s own carry bag for keeping safe. Also came with spare chain which was useful. Started after a few pulls (after assembly of chain section) and has cut the branches already that I needed. Well worth the money if you consider it’s about 50 to hire one for a day.

A powerful chainsaw, no complaints about it, the difference over my other saw must be due to 35cc v 62cc engine. The extra power wins over the extra weight every time.

I find it smokes and have reduced the oil mix and it smokes less… to start it.. 2 or 3 pulls then push the fuel pump again with your thumb a few more times and tun the Choke off… and it starts well… if you dont push the choke in it floods and wont start so well.
The product arrived on time. Everything was complete with the exception of the instruction manual and the warranty card. The former was absolutely no problem because a comprehensive instruction manual is available on line. I will have to contact the seller with regard to warranty but cannot imagine it should be an issue. Although I have years of experience of chainsaw use I also watched the online video for setting up this chainsaw. For those less confident this really is excellent! With regard to the chainsaw itself, time will tell, but first impressions are that the quality of finish is beyond what I expected at this price. I have used the chainsaw several times already and so far it starts perfectly from either cold or warm. The chain is not pre-stretched and I did have to re-tension the chain after about 15 minutes use but, again, the video is very good at pointing out that this is a requirement. Good practice to check frequently anyhow!
I have some heavy duty logging to do so will update then but first impressions are very good.
I’ve never used a chainsaw before but found this quite easy to assemble after watching the video. Seems quite powerful and easily took care of a couple of conifers that needed to come down, so has already saved me money compared to the cost of getting a pro to do the job.
Not faults with this product but things I wish I’d looked at before purchasing 1. The weight – it’s probably got more power and a longer bar than I need and the larger engine means heavier. 2. The difference between a top handle chainsaw and a rear handle. I probably should have got a top handle as will mostly be used for removing branches.
Only rating as 4 stars as the chain brake seems quite difficult to disengage, and sometimes seems to pop back on as soon as I rev the engine, but the rest of it feels like it will last.
So far so good. Set up was simple and after priming started first pull, little bit of smoke but it is brand new and soon disappeared.
First bit of wood was a log 16″ diameter and went through it like a knife through butter!!
For the money I am very impressed, Just hope it keeps performing

Good chainsaw
The chainsaw is great we had an oak tree fall in the strong wind and it went through the trunk of the tree with no trouble at all. I would recommend this chainsaw it is perfect for the job

akes only a few minuets to assemble if you know your way around chain saws but newbies may find it a bit confusing.
The soft start is excellent( much better than the Stihl I use at work.) The provided tool kit is cheap and nasty , how much would it cost to put a handle on the file and provide a decent screwdriver? The plastic parts of the body seem very brittle and I expect some damage to occur when fairly quickly once I start using this a lot during the winter.
You get what you pay for and all in all this does the job as well as a 300- 400 saw update February 2021. I had to change the chain as I stupidly hit stony ground with the tip. On retightening the bolts on the chain cover both of the studs stripped from their seatings. I tried using some thread lock but as the to no availe. A shame because it’s done a lot of heavy work including cuttinng through 100 year old |French railway sleepers ( don’t do it , the years of soaked in creosote take ages to clean off.) outside the warranty now so not worth the repair costs. probably time to invest in a Stihl.
Okay get the first one out of the way. Chainsaw arrived, put together, fuelled and started. Ran okay on tickover from cold or warm but once warmed up would not work when any throttle applied. Would choke and stop within a few seconds. Tried to check the plug and when I pulled the plug cover off the coil spring part of HT lead which fits over top of spark plug separated from lead and stayed coiled around plug. It’s possible that this was the running problem and gives me some concern over future performance. On the positive side the supplier was very prompt in communications, arranged to pick up faulty item and sent out a replacement (which came before the first chainsaw was uplifted). Which to me was great service.
Second chainsaw here’s the general review. At c90, considering you get an extra chain, it’s a bargain (there are similar others at same price range — a friend has a different one and they both look of similar build and quality). It was delivered well packed with all the items promised; it’s fairly easy to put together but the pictures in the manual are too small and of poor definition to be a lot of help. Included is a volume marked mixer bottle for making up the 25:1 mix but it is not very robust so I would not recommend carrying a full bottle in a bag for risk of leaking / splitting and I think you’d be better with a decent fuel container of thicker plastic (plus it only holds enough for about two fuel tank fillings).
I’ve had a Stihl chainsaw for about 4 years and bought this as a back up with a slightly longer bar (unluckily the day before it arrived I had a tree blown down blocking the access to my house but this dealt adequately with the thicker trunk that my Stihl couldn’t cope with). In comparing this to the Stihl it’s a bit like comparing two cars from a top manufacturer or one of the more “basic” makers. Both will get you from A to B but one has better quality switchgear, plastic, components and comfort. One noted feature is the Stihl chains come pre stretched and I did notice this items chain did stretch significantly more on first use than I expected. I also find fitting the drive cover to the Stihl a better design. Another good design point on the Stihl is that the oil and fuel reservoirs are clear so you can see when you’re getting low unlike this saw but so long as you check it after about twenty minutes or so you should be fine (I was always told not to let two strokes run dry as it can cause excessive wear when fuel lubrication stops and engine is still trying to run).
Overall would I recommend this for purchase. It is built down to a price but that price is great value for money. I’ve only used it for about five hours work so can’t comment on longevity and the work was on fairly thick / solid trees (and I still worry about the plug cap failure and haven’t tried to remove plug yet). But if you’re looking for something for domestic use and not expecting overmuch then I’d say go for it.
I’d also particularly commend the seller for communications and help with the problem I had.
p.s. I expect the similar chainsaws at this price would not be much different.
Uses a lot of oil with auto lubrication and taking quite a heavy mix of two stroke oil… but it chainsaws all day happy as ever, choppy choppy chop, loves it… smells nice too…

A fantastic product, just difficult to assemble ( I am Frank Spencer) but a great log chopper and comes with a spare chain..
Great product, really pleased with it. Watched the video on YouTube how to assemble and it was really helpful. Started on the 3rd attempt which was unexpected but really pleasing. 1st class chainsaw.
Great chainsaw for the price, chains blunt quickly but I replaced with quality ones and this cuts as well as much more expensive chainsaw.
Wowzers! Strong, powerful, and does the job first time. It’s very capable and made using solid materials. The engine is strong and the chains are very sharp for cutting. We had no problem in the garden going through about 30 sleepers and then a small tree. I had a small issue with the pull cord but the seller we quick in sending me a replacement unit. Very very pleased.
Bought this to chop conifers down and I must say I was impressed.
It started easily a ran well for prolonged periods whilst chopping 16 conifers down. It went through the trunks like butter and made light work of the task. Would definitely recommend it’s purchase!!

I had bought this a while ago and after being lazy I wanted to finally cut a tree in my back garden today.
Assembly is fairly simple, fuel mixing and putting chain oil are straight forward.
The problem occurred when I attempted and failed to have it started and after trying both cold and warm start procedures for dozens of times I decided to check the spark plug and I could not unscrew it because it’s so damn tightly screwed in so the spark plug wrench that comes with this chainsaw just bent and broke…
I don’t own any spare spark plug wrenches nor spark plugs, so out of frustration I continued trying to get the chainsaw to start and after 30 minutes or so I finally managed to get it started in warm start procedure.
Having let it to work for some minutes now it starts from the first try, luckily.
Now I am a bit worried about the day in the future when I’ll absolutely have to replace that spark plug…
Bought it to clear garden from fallen massive trees branches. I was reluctant to go for not reviewed product but with price below 80 i decided to have a go.
The saw looks reasonably quality, flashing everywhere Hyundai name to the extend I thought I am buying this brand product. In fact it is only powered by Hyundai engine.
The manual is very clear, very easy and quick to assemble. I followed op instructions to the letter and had no problem with initial start. After that it starts with 1st attempt.
It is very powerful, it went through 30cm thick logs with no problem. I did about 1 cu yard of logs in no time so as far as I am concerned mission accomplished. I hope this will serve well for quite some time though.
