The information in operating manual was excellent
The information on use of combination facilities were simple to follow
The defrost information very good especially the food weights section
The many recipes were very welcome addition
The Microwave was a great choice for a 82 year old and I am very happy with this product
L.Harris purchased September 2023
It was straightforward to use from the moment we unpacked the oven. We tried baked potatoes in it and they were pretty good, we usually put them in a conventional oven, so they compared favourably. I like the safety mechanism, i.e. if more than 3 instructions given/buttons pressed, the oven will not work till reset again, which is pretty straightforward and a useful but we did have to search for this in the booklet as we initially could not work out why the oven would not work. But it made sense once we found the page with this info on. Nice oven, looks smart.
It is very good Panasonic NN-K18JMMBPQ Microwave Oven with Grill . So simple and user friendly. Best buy. & value for money. Sharp & Toshiba also made nice Microwave Oven with Grill.
Very good little microwave with grill but very small. I ended up giving it to my daughter and buying a bigger one for myself. My own fault, I should have measured the dimentions. Otherwise very good and easy to use.
This microwave oven is very good value for money and is very easy to use. It is quite small, but big enough to cook or re-heat food. It has 3 functions – microwave, grill or combination cooking which are very useful. It looks very good too.
Works for warming up/defrosting. Hadn’t used oven. It does steam up alot therefore given 4
I use this device for microwaving, grilling, auto cooking. All food once used to it, come out well.
Just right for two people. Cooked jacket potatoes week, using combination of microwave and grill. Easy to clean.
Excellent for the price, especially as a Prime deal which made it great value, I like Panasonic, sturdy, ample enough settings for me and benefits from a grill as well.Simple and easy to use right out of the box.Recommended.
Easy to use. Good quality as usual for Panasonic products
I bought this as it offers both grilling and micorwave functionality. I live in a small studio and everything I buy usually to save space. I chose this rather than buying microwave and grill seperately and it is also from a good brand and the price was also reasonable at 75 GBP. THe microwave works great and it is good but when it comes to grilling its only heating from the top part so if you are grilling something like a chicken you have to open in betweeen and turn the chicken, but you cannot bake pizza or bread in it as it only heats up the top part.
My original got damaged by accident, so ordered the same again as it worked so well for me.
Excellent microwave,it was a bit smaller but was very easy to set up and use and so far I am very satisfied with the product.
Small microwave with all the features of the bigger more expensive ones.
Great m/w with some nice features. Very good value for money. Only negative is our rice steamer from our last Panasonic m/w won’t fit in – it’s too tall. So check the internal height you need.
Great for Jacket potatoes, emergency oven and grille. Nice build quality.
Wanted a small microwave and this is absolutely right. Very efficient and easy to use. Really pleased with it.
Nice microwave but because it has the grill feature the roof is lower than I presumed. Plates etc are fine but microwave rice packets are too tall. It’s not the end of the world though
Works well looks good, does the job. Note…its silver, not white.
It replaced a Panasonic extra large microwave and is much easier to handle and use due to its small footprint for someone looking to buy a small one this is excellent. Would recommend.
Very neat plus value for the make, amazing. Looks lovely in kitchen. Haven’t had chance to use it yet so need to study manual.
This microwave is exactly what I wanted, it is multifunctional and integrates nicely into my kitchen.
Easy to use and great price for a good brand.
I have always had a Panasonic microwaves but they were 32L models ideal for family. When my last one went to microwave heaven, I decided to downsize. After reading various reports I stuck with Panasonic but a smaller, more compact model for myself. It is very easy to use and is very efficient. Most if all it doesn’t take up a lot of worktop space.
3rd panosonic i have had if this last as long i will be pleased
It’s compact, and stylish. 7 Very easy to use and wipes clean easily. A very good purchase.
small but ideal .very good value and easy to use
This oven has performed as required since purchase, although we have not yet used all the functions. There remains a slight smell of burning when using, for which I have been unable to trace the source, but the taste of the food is not affected. Purchased to replace a heavier microwave oven which turned out to be too heavy for the planned fixture and was returned without any problems. A good purchase.
This is my third Panasonic microwave. This one for a relative who already had same model and didn’t want to change. This microwave is so easy to use I wouldn’t change to a bigger one
Very easy to use. Ideal for basic use.
Quite small inside.
Efficient microwave oven and grill. Needed instruction booklet at first but getting hang of things now
Compact and simple to use. Grill is good added feature.
Very happy with the microwave. Once you read the guidance it does the job it’s designed for. Easy meals just a push button away.
I wanted a full combination microwave but I’m short on space, so I went for this instead. It’s a good compromise, being small but with more functionality than a standard microwave. I thought I’d use the grill setting more, but you have to meet a certain weight threshold to use it and one sausage roll doesn’t make it. I also emailed them as I was confused about the option to use all three cooking modes one after the other when you can’t use the metal rack on microwave but do need it for one of the other ones. I haven’t had a reply, so that’s disappointing. It works excellently as a microwave however. Easy controls and good power at 800W. I don’t regret buying it, but I do wish I had the space for a proper combination oven.
l had a earlier model of this microwave and this one is even easier to use , good all round, no problems
Does the job really well. Nice design and more compact than many models. Good price from respected manufacturers.
Would reccomend.
Great product – learning to use the browning function – easy instructions and good desig
Found it very easy to use. Have not used the grill yet.
Our Panasonic Microwave of old died so we looked for a replacement and settled with this one, function wise its great – although we will probably never use the grill.
The only issue we have with the thing is its about an inch shorter inside than the old one – so if you want microwave popcorn be careful as the bag often gets stuck when turning 🙁
Better than a standard microwave only oven, as it has a grill too, but don’t expect too much from it, as it’s really only to brown/crisp up food after microwave cooking. Takes over 30 mins to grill 4 sausages, and 20 mins to grill bacon, but the microwave is fast and easy to use.
Can’t fault Panasonic microwaves, always had them for 20 years now, simple and easy to operate.
Is an updated version of my old one, which I had had for several years. It’s not the quietest, but I like Panasonic.
Small size microwave but it does the job. Have never had a combination microwave before and without a cookbook I’m not sure about timing anything. So far have used the grill on it’s own and the microwave functions and will probably never use it’s full capabilities.
Slightly smaller inside than I needed but it is no problem
Like everything about it easy to use and the colour.
This is a great little microwave especially for one person. Instructions are clear and it is easy to operate.
Yes easy to clean so far I have only needed to wipe as not spills.
I have not used the grill so far but it is handy instead of using my large grill on my cooker.
Oh, the one I received is silver not white as stated, I actually prefer the silve
The instructions on how to use need studying when we’ve not had a microwave for a couple of years.
This is a nice compact microwave but still has the grill facility.
Had to return first oven, had a replacement within 3days, great service and delivery. Oven just the right size for my small kitchen, jacket potato took 14 mins, magic! Thank you.
Easy to use, easy to clean and looks good. Panasonic tend to manufacture quality products and this is no exception.
Have not used grill feature yet used as a microwave. Large push button to open door. Could be quieter and lighter. Might be awkward if hands not strong. Otherwise looks nice, compact (limited space) and does its job.
This was a like for like replacement old one just over 8 years old
This was bought as a replacement for a microwave that had broken down. It is of a less powerful model than the old microwave, but it performs just as well. The delivery was prompt and the delivery person was pleasant and helpful.
Thank you to the supplier.
Found this very easy to use and is in use nearly every day now.
So far no complaints. Bit more complicated but that is because it also has a grill. A family might benefit
from the larger model but for one it is perfect. Recomend
Small and compact.Looks good and easy to use and clean.A bargain for the price.
The grill is a bonus for the price. Nice looking and easy to use. Good microwave for 1 or 2 people. Tends to move a bit when pressing as you have to keep it 10 cms from back wall.
Not really a problem.
Only dislike so far is 5 bleeps when it has finished. A bit annoying but good if your a bit deaf or preoccupied.
I used to own one of these before but without the grill. I purchased this because I wanted the versatility of an additional grill. The microwave does what it says and it does it very well. No complaints at all. The defrost function is particularly good. However, the grill is slow. It’s a poor substitute for the real thing. It does the job, but it’s a long wait. However, the microwave is still a great buy. Just don’t have high expectations of the grill.
Fab microwave, small size but holds a large plate, easy to set clock and ease of use, would definitely buy again, very pleased.
I put the microwave in my caravan after the old one no longer worked. The Panasonic microwave does everything I expected and is much better than my previous microwave because it has a grill.
We never realised just how, over time, our old microwave oven had gradually lost power. for the first few time we overcooked everything..BUT It is an excellent oven and I’ve just bought a second one to help with catering for friends visits.
Everything lifts out easily to clean, and it all wipes down easily.
We got two Panasonic microwaves – this (NN-K18JMMBPQ) for work and a NN-CT54JWBPQ at twice the price for home. I have to say both are really good microwaves and highly recommended. It’s taken a bit of getting used to but now we’ve figured out all of the features it’s really our to go appliance for cooking in the kitchen. So much so that we tend not to use our regular oven anywhere as much. For a microwave that’s not terribly bulky or heavy it has an decent 20 litre capacity. This means if you’re tight for space you don’t have to worry. That combined with the built in 9 programmes, convection and grill functionality make for a great appliance. Saying that it is quite easy to get going with it as it’s quite intuitive and the instructions are easy to follow. The 800-1000 watts of power also make for fast cooking. We’ve found that no matter which function we are using the food comes out evenly cooked. We have a young family and it ideal for them – ranging from using the child meal options to cooking pizza. Overall we’re very impressed and struggle to come up with any criticisms. If money weren’t an issue I’d say considering paying the extra for the NN-CT54JWBPQ model as you get a full 1000 watt power and faster cooking, 27 litre capacity and 29 programmes. However, if you’re on a budget then this is still an excellent microwave, just a bit less oomph. Recommended.
I should of double check the size it was smaller then I though
I like the small compact microwave which is still root enough to take k e a large dinner plate, it is a bit noises and the grill function is too slow to heat up. On the whole I very pleased with it.
Needed replacement microwave but didn’t want one taking up too much space. This one is ideal and seems faster than previous Panasonic. Hope is lasts. One worry is that door opening button went on last microwave so hope this one is made stronger.
Actually, this is a microwave that will fit in any kitchen, but it comes out top for a small kitchen, and for someone who will be doing more reheating than cooking – so ideal for students.
Three things stand out for me. One, that small footprint – this will fit just about anywhere, but still fits 20l inside.
Two, the grill – it won’t make a great souffle, but it will reheat a pizza in minutes
and Three, it has seven useful presets – being able to pop in a potato and then ignore it for 14 minutes and get a nicely crisped jacket takes care of all the student calorie needs which aren’t covered by kebabs and pot noodles.
Don’t have masses of space for a microwave but this model fits really well into the space available due to its compact footprint. However, for a small microwave it certainly delivers on performance. Microwave function is perfect and the grill is an added bonus. I don’t use auto programmes a great deal, but the jacket potato programme produces excellent results for a quick lunch. Usual excellent Panasonic build quality. Nicely finished and smart looking. Excellent value at this price, can’t find fault with it at all.
I got this for my son who has recently moved in to his own, small space rented accommodation and it was perfect in both its small size and didn’t come with the bells and whistles of more expensive models. It’s ideal for reheating ready meals from chilled, jacket potatoes come out particularly well as you’re able to crisp the ski using the inbuilt grill. The 30 second and 1 minute time set buttons make manually setting cooking times a breeze, and so far, the auto cook button have worked to perfection.
All in all, a good value versatile microwave/grill from Panasonic. Recommended.
Panasonic lead the way in producing well built, great quality and functional microwaves and this is no exception. For a fraction of what they used to cost, Panasonic brings a combination of 800W microwave and 1000W grill oven in one small unit.
The microwave is great with 800W of power (not as much as some but it does seem more powerful than our old Samsung which claimed to be 900W) with some lovely features. The bright green LED display is clear and easy to interpret. The buttons are touch sensitive and flat on the panel making them easy to clean. My favourite button is the 30s button which gives multiples of 30s microwave boosts – so useful and well thought out. I don’t really use the pre-programmed buttons as I tend to just wing it but the microwave it really even in cooking and consistent in its power. The mark of a good microwave is in the cooking of a popadum and this is great without burning them. Tip top cooking.
The grill is great for occasional use and the included rack is very useful – oven chips and pizzas come out really well under the grill.
The microwave oven is much like a tardis, looking very much bigger on the inside than the outside. It gives great value for money, the removable pyrex plate is easy to clean and the whole thing feels well built and of great quality.
Thoroughly recommended for the price. Very functional without too many bells and whistles.
To be honest I took one star off the Easy to Clean because of the fact that it had a recess that made it a little trickier than a lot of other models but at the end of the day, that was because I was being very picky about that one thing. Other than that I really can’t fault it.
In a time when space is at a premium in most homes, items tend to have to be multifunctional to warrant space in your kitchen. Having a grill within the microwave makes this so much better as it gives you a lot of versatility with the food that you’re preparing.
The micro output is bang on 800 Watts and for me reheats the food precisely to the way I like it as well as having good air filtration through the various slits to help avoid the steam built up that occurs in a lot of earlier models. Add to this a known brand name and the fact that I last bought a Panasonic Micro years ago and I’m only just replacing it. Says enough about the build quality. Really can’t fault it.
This is a replacement for a very old Panasonic microwave that we have had for at least 25 years and cost Ten Times the asking price of this model. To be honest apart from the slightly lightweight feel to the casing and the slightly smaller size this does everything that our old microwave did…like the small grill and rack.
So far this new model is proving very good although the interior has a recessed area that will need an extra clean from time to time. The silver casing is attractive and the side air vents allow for better ventilation of the unit. I’m sure the fact it is from a tried and tested manufacturer will prove a bonus.
This is our second Panasonic microwave oven. The other one was ‘borrowed’ by our daughter for her new flat.
It is a small oven, with a neat look to it.
The microwave is 800 watts, and the grill is 1000watts.
Good for reheating convenience food, making jacket spuds, grilling cheese sandwiches and that sort of thing
Pretty versatile overall, with a few useful presets to get you started. Not really big enough to do ‘proper’ cooking, but at this sort of size and price you wouldn’t really expect that.
I really like this panasonic microwave.
We’ve had one before and the build quality is great. Its very neat and compact without unnecessary bulky plastic covers and fits into a kitchen very well.
Its an 800w microwave and a 1000w grill, and it does both great. There are plenty of power settings and programmes to get you started quickly.
I found it heated most things evenly and on the whole is very pleasant to use.
This Panasonic Microwave NN-K18JMMBPQ – I believe represents good value, it’s a compact microwave and has a smaller footprint.
It is a quick and easy to use Microwave and Grill combi oven, however, for me the combi times and grill usage was hard to figure out what timing to use for other goods. I found that there are a few forums on the net that will help you, from other people who have used the same oven for other types of foods. Nonetheless still an affordable and not heavy microwave. It should fit anywhere in a kitchen and blend-in with silver/grey appliances that are already there.
I have used this microwave to reheat, defrost and cook various types of food and the performance was good and the food tasted nice and warmed up well throughout without cold spots/areas.
In general, this is a really smart looking and well-designed microwave. It does well in reheating and defrosting. The heating performance is fast and effective, the build is durable and the design is compact. Has a smaller footprint and find this more suitable to my needs.
