How to Use

The Bonsai Trio Kit provides detailed instructions on how to plant the seeds, for them to grow to their full potential. It includes 6 growing pots, peat blocks and plant markers.

How to Use

Keep the soil moist but not wet, just enough for small particles of soil stick to your finger tip. Otherwise, seeds may begin rot before they begin to germinate. Bonsai trees thrive in well-drained soil, Water when the soil appears dry and do not allow the soil to become completely dry.

Lovely gift for anyone just starting with growing their own vegetables
A lovely gift set with some quirky vegetables. It is hard to comment on ease of growth as it will depend mainly on planting the seeds at the right time of the year and looking after them. As with all seeds, if the conditions are not favorable then the seeds may fail to germinate. Planting them in March-April in the UK would be ideal. If you can keep them on a south facing widow sill then they should stand a really good chance. Just be sure to pot them up once they have become established and have a healthy root system. Hopefully this could be used to get kids into growing veggies as the “funky” element makes it fun. A touch expensive, but can probably be justified by the uniqueness of the item. Would also make a great secret santa present, birthday gift or perhaps for mothers/fathers day.

    Super gift idea
I have purchased this as a gift for someone else. The box was squashed slightly in transit, but this doesn’t affect the contents inside the box. Hopefully they will find it easy to grow the plants. There are seeds for 3 plants. The contents look good so hopefully the gift will be well received.

    What’s with the smaller bags???
I bought these as I had success with them about 4/5 years ago and wanted to grow some more plants from seed. The seeds seem to be of good quality as is the soil but I don’t ever remember having the faff of putting them in the bags like this time!! Just make the bags bigger! If I had my own bags knocking around I would have but I was very surprised at how much I had to pretty much mutilate and morph the pots into a shape that barely squeezes into the bags (see photo)

Not holding much hope on these sprouting! Will see though and will update depending on success!
