Excellent way to get into Pokémon cards
Before I bought this I had one goal, to get an umbreon of any rarity.
In this box I pulled an umbreon v, two other v’s and a bunch of other pretty playable cards so would definitely recommend but the one thing is that the booster packs are all evolving skies so if you’re wanting a diverse pull from a bunch of different sets then maybe try another product but if you’re just wanting a good pull on a set these sorts of boxes are excellent.
The deck sleeves are also really awesome.

Was disappointed that the 25th anniversary packs only had 4 cards but it’s a small collection so presumably that was their rationale. We were u lucky with some relatively poor printing quality on some of the 25th anniversary cards that I have not seen before.

Well constructed, easy to use, however, beware of paper cuts, the edges of the album are so stiff i sliced myself multiple times while handling it. Will probably soften with use but wasn’t a pleasant experience.

I bought this to play with my 6 year old boy, after only recently buying my son a deck of Pokemon trading cards for 20euro plus I realised that we’d need another to have a proper game, after scouring Amazon and a few other websites looking for reasonably priced deck, I found this set which includes 3 decks with some classic Pokemon the board and some pretty expansive yet easy to understand instructions along with a few other bits and bobs essential to play we were playing in no time and my little lad was ecstatic in particular over the Charizard & Piccachu decks overall very happy with the contents and it all cost less the initial deck I bought a few days ago to begin with (much better value for money) and for set of novices pretty easy to figure out, would definitely recommend to other parents who have kids looking to get into Pokemon cards

This is my first time buying pokemon booster boxes and didn’t expect much out of it but was hoping for snorlax secret. However instead gone and pulled a card even better imo. Fast delivery, packs in perfect condition and I feel as though the bad reviews are people who were unlucky with their pulls and decided to take it out on the seller. Will definitely be buying more.
Not Tampered with
Lots of scary reviews on this product about tampered items. I chose to not purchase the cheapest option but a known card seller, Chaos Cards, whether that makes a difference, I don’t know, but arrived on time and got correct pulls including a vmax, not Tampered with like other people have mentioned.

I was a little concerned by some of the comments on here about receiving resealed packs, ours came directly from amazon and was still factory sealed. My son was so pleased as he got an ultra rare card in there.

This game contains an excellent system for learning the game. The box consists of three decks of cards; two beginner and one more advanced; and three rulebooks to go along with the decks. Each card in the deck is labelled 01 to 60. You place the deck on the board in the indicated order and then play a game with each beginner player referring to that deck’s rulebook. This will take two players through the first turns of a game and teach you everything you need to know to get through to the end of the deck by yourself. Then you can shuffle up these beginner decks and play without guidance. Once you have played a few games with the starter decks you can move on to the more advanced deck and its rulebook which will flesh out all the more advanced rules. By that time you will know how to play Pokemon and have had a good time doing so. It’s an above average game – a bit luck driven – but there are strategies to learn and tactical decisions to make and poor choices have consequences. The health counters are a bit flimsy considering the amount of handling they will get, but all other components are of a very high quality.

Great for getting started playing
This is a great box set for getting into playing the pokemon tcg. My son inherited lots of pokemon cards and wanted to start playing, this came with two guided decks and a third bonus deck. The manuals for each deck play you through a guided game and also has a more detailed rule book.
It’s so quick to get out, set up and put away after playing. It’s quickly become our go to family game due to the ease of set up and put away.

Fair price. The package was well protected and the cards were 100% damage-free.
The card art is fantastic to look at and maybe I got lucky with a gold card and 3 mega rares but I felt I got my moneys worth.

Expensive but brand new, sealed, unweighed.
I’m always wary buying Pokemon cards from Amazon because I’ve had multiple orders be received with every packet opened however this was completely sealed and the packets contained a secret rare so had obviously not been weighed.

I play this with my son regularly. He already has a supply of Pokemon cards, but the cards included in this starter set are sufficient. You can always add more cards later on if you think you need more, but we find the included cards are really enough. It is a lot of fun. Can only be played with two players. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Even for adults 😉

Amazingly fun for all the family
This is amazing my little boy loves Pokemon and this teaches you how to play the card game and now we have had many hours of fun battling recommend to anyone who collected cards as a kid as this brings some fun memory’s back and now I can share that fun with my little lad and he now also plays the online game but the board game is better in my eyes.

I ordered some other Trainer, Supporter and Pokemon species as additional cards just to vary up the decks as it gets samey. Doing this, you can rotate which Pokemon you include and keep decks at x60.
I removed some Kangaskhan and Snorlax for example as you get a few of them, and for my preference added a Jolteon and a Blissey – the latter as you have Eevee/Espeon/!Flareon in the other decks, as well as Chansey.
There are some very fun Trainer cards out there. This box only includes “pick up cards” and “potion” kind or ones. That is fine, but include for my own preference added an Eviolite (really helps out those Basic Pokemon) and Super Energy Removal (if you want a card to really hold back EX as trust me, they’re otherwise going to sweep your entire team).

That is fine, but include for my own preference added an Eviolite (really helps out those Basic Pokemon) and Super Energy Removal (if you want a card to really hold back EX as trust me, they’re otherwise going to sweep your entire team).
Great starter pack and really good value
Bought this for my son who has some pokemon cards but is getting to the point where he wants to learn how to play. This is great value for money as it contains 3 full decks which cost around 12 each. Great value and I know my son will love this.

The decks are clearly the highlight of the product. Pokemo
Great game but very complicated for younger people to understand. Will keep it for a few years time when I’m sure it will be better received. Well made and looks good value for money.
With a Pokemon obsessed 7 year old we thought we’d give this a try and it has been a very worthwhile purchase. 3 complete decks and two “guide books” that talk you step by step through how to play meant we were quickly able to play with ease and I now understand the trading card game. It’s definitely worth keeping the decks intact as they are set to make sure you can play a full battle and then if you have an avid card collector they’ll soon be playing with their collection.

Kit is what it says it is… if your looking for special decks or elite cards for a collection then buy the packs.
Me and my daughter have a game almost every day, its ever easy to learn and pretty easy to master. I like the fact it has 3 decks not just 2.
Cards are good quality and the reminder table is a great idea for kids.

As it had been so long and i didn’t have any decks, i wanted something to give me some variety as well as teaching my partner how to play.
Having 3 desks allows some variation and they are nicely balanced. we didn’t bother going through the whole guide where they guide you through a pre prepared step by step game (they have numbered cards in case you want to try it again) but i can see it being very useful for complete novices.

Excellent game clearly explains the rules easy to learn an lots of fun i play this with my nepthew an my brother. Most importantly i would highly recommend buying this if u are just starting out rather then choosing a trainer pack deck as those are more for collection.

The instructions are well written and have lots of pictures. We struggled to fully understand the game watching mutiple videos on youtube and found with the three sets of instructions we were quickly able to start a game and battle.
