Woofers that deliver a cleaner overall sound.Every Eris-series studio monitor utilizes a woven composite, low-frequency driver. The weave and nature of the Eris E3.5’s 3.5-inch woofer result in a more constant dispersion pattern throughout the frequency range, resulting in less time-smeared audio and cleaner overall sound. | Smooth high end and wide sweet spot. The Eris E3.5 is equipped with a one-inch silk-dome tweeter that produces a smooth and refined sound, accurately reproducing transients and high frequencies. The tweeter is designed to radiate sound with a fairly wide dispersion pattern, creating a large optimal listening area or “sweet spot” so you can move around and still hear everything accurately. | Connect to virtually any line-level source. With three different types of audio inputs, it’s easy to feed audio to your Eris monitors from a mixer, an interface, a media player, or almost any other line-level source. The Eris E3.5 is equipped with rear-panel, ¼-inch TRS and RCA inputs, as well as front-panel ⅛-inch stereo, unbalanced line inputs for use with mobile audio devices. With this selection, you’ll have no problem hooking your Eris speakers up with virtually any line-level source, including your smartphone or tablet. The loud, clear, front-panel headphone amplifier lets you work and play in stealth mode, without disturbing your housemates. | Accuracy defined.Like all PreSonus monitor speakers, the Eris E3.5 offers consistent, accurate listening, with the smooth and even frequency response that has made Eris monitors popular around the world. Their compact and powerful design makes them an ideal solution for any small space. Want extra-deep low end? Pair compact Eris E3.5s with PreSonus’ powerful Temblor T8 active subwoofer for a truly full-range sound system that fits almost anywhere. |
Easy-to-use controls.
A speaker’s response is affected by where you place it and the acoustics of your space. That’s why Eris E3.5 active media reference monitors offer easy-to-adjust high- and low-frequency controls. A convenient front-panel volume knob sets both the speaker level and the integrated headphone amplifier level. Be careful with that volume knob, though: Eris E3.5s are driven by an onboard 25 watt/side power amplifier and can get a lot louder than you may expect, while still delivering clear, accurate audio.

WOW!!
Thought long and hard before I chose these – OH MY GOD – The quality of the sound for the money is just ridiculous – playing tidal through these is a real revelation. Technology vs cost over the last few years has come along way – so very satisfied with these – and now iuing them as my main monitors for making music with logic.
Incredible for the money
These are remarkably good speakers for the price paid (99.99)! I’m mainly using them with my Yamaha CLP735 digital piano as the instrument’s onboard speakers are very poor. Playing piano through my Sennheiser headphones was excellent but I needed far better sound when phones were disconnected. These amazing speakers have transformed the sound of the piano and I am delighted with the difference. Highly recommended and simply amazing value – don’t hesitate!
Excellent budget monitor speakers.
I’ve had these speakers for some time now and can report back that overall they offer excellent value for money (at the time I got them offer which made them better value for money) obviously you can spend a lot more on bigger brands but for my use (Rane dj controller) they have been fine with good sound quality, these have met my requirements.
There is one thing to note, I do find that with certain devices I do have to re-pair the device via Bluetooth as it seems to forget the device however this isn’t such a problem as it is easy enough to re-pair, just thought it was worth mentioning.
Overall happy with the speakers and would recommend to potential buyers.
Good value speakers
While not the best sounding speakers on the market, the value for what you get is overall very good. Pretty good base but clarity was a bit of an issue (fixed by modifying them slightly).
Generally though its a great product.
Nice speakers and seem to be well made
I had to get these on the quick to go with daughters monitor for UNI, not know much about speakers these seem to have had good reviews. They are good quality and all tho a little big, it’s good to have the headphone port at the front, they could have put the monitor input at the front and back as a option which would have been nice.
Sound is out of this world !
By far the best sound from any speakers i have ever owned. I have these running through my Creative Soundblaster Z, not sure how much difference this makes, but they Creative Studio software that comes with it just gives you all the settings you could possibly want to get these sounding just how you want them, I have the Crystalizer option on, and its just mind blowingly good !
Superb BT feature for applications where 3.5mm wired connection is not an optio
Excellent for playing music from your phone and the Bluetooth connectivity frees you from being tethered to a 3.5mm jack cable. Perfect for applications where wireless connectivity is a mus
Great sound. Very impressed.
Not one to leave reviews unless I’m impressed.
I have to have good sound quality. I produce music at home and have 8 inch powered m audio speakers for my set up (awesome by the way). I wanted a small punchy pair of speakers for my pc in the bedroom, and I am very impressed with these. Small and compact, a range of ways to connect and most importantly they sound exceptionally good, especially considering how small they are. Very good bass and treble, plenty loud enough and adjustable bass and treble. well done pre sonus.
Surprisingly good given size and price poi
Bought theses as I am learning piano and want to do basic music production. Reviews were good so took a punt and very glad I did. These are surprisingly good. Highs and mids are not tge best I’ve heard but the bottom end is rich and packs a punch. These wouldnd be suitable for mastering in production but at 80 you are never going to get that level of quality. For my purposes these are great.
Detailed sound
Great delivery, nicely protected.
Was hesitant to start, as they are super light. But the sound is clear and detailed. Works great for my home studio recording of music.
BT – a breeze with my Mac Studio.
Seriously good value
Ridiculously good value for the money. Absolutely great sound considering the price. Good bass end but could struggle with low analogue bass or synth sounds. Big issue is that you will really need an audio interface to get rid of the intermittent crackle and buzz. Might be that the connecting cables were too low quality? Audio interface solved it anyway. Great purchase. Very happy.
A great upgrade!
I have had a decent 2.1 PC speaker system from Logitech for years and I liked it, but I never really thought I could hear much of the detail. So recently I thought I’d try something new and I bought these. At first I was underwhelmed – the bassiness was suddenly gone and I thought they sounded a bit ‘tinny’.
I was wrong though – I had to get used to them and I soon realised I was actually hearing what was originally recorded. What an ‘ear-opener’!
I am very glad I bought these – I can hear detail in music that I have never heard before – even in pricy speakers on my main setup. I read someone’s review about these on here and they said that they could hear things they hadn’t heard before and it brought tears to their eyes – I agree!
These are fantastic value!
(To add, I made sure these point at my ears from my desktop so I put a couple of pieces of wood underneath to pick them up a bit and they then sit on angled Kanto S2 Desktop Speaker Stands. Photo attached.)
Crystal Clear Sound and Compact Perfection!
Finding the perfect studio monitors has been a quest of mine for years. Enter the PreSonus Eris E4.5 High-Definition Multimedia Studio Monitors — these little powerhouses have completely transformed my listening and mixing experience.
First and foremost, the sound quality these monitors deliver is nothing short of exceptional. Whether I’m enjoying my favorite tracks or evaluating audio content, the Eris E4.5 monitors provide a precise representation of every element.
The build quality is remarkable, too. Despite their compact size, these monitors feel sturdy and well-constructed. The front-panel volume knob and acoustic tuning controls are easily accessible and allow for precise adjustments tailored to my workspace. I appreciate the flexibility to fine-tune the monitors to my specific room acoustics, ensuring I’m getting the most accurate sound possible.
Connectivity options are extensive — balanced TRS, unbalanced RCA, and an auxiliary input mean I can easily switch between multiple sources. The inclusion of a headphone output on the front panel is a thoughtful addition, allowing for private listening without having to disconnect the monitors.
What truly sets the Eris E4.5 monitors apart is their affordability without compromising on quality. PreSonus has managed to pack professional-grade sound into a budget-friendly package, making these monitors an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable and accurate monitoring solution.
In conclusion, the PreSonus Eris E4.5 High-Definition Multimedia Studio Monitors have exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Their exceptional sound quality, build, and versatile connectivity options make them an indispensable tool in my setup. If you’re seeking a pair of compact monitors that punch well above their weight class, look no further — these little wonders will undoubtedly elevate your audio experience.
Great for Home Recording
These speakers are superb. I use them for monitoring when doing home recording. They have excellent clarity, definition and bass response, which isnt compromised as you turn the volume up. For the price they simply cant be bea
Good value
Great near field monitors. Used neutral for recording and playback but eq added for listening to streamed music. Small form factor recommend you use wedge type stands and position accurately for optimum sound .Turn in slightly and arms length away from you arms length apart (triangle).
Can’t criticise these speakers for the money use decent cable between speakers and 1/4″ cables from audio interface.
Plenty of volume and a good clean sound with decent bass for the size.
I occasionally spend months away from home hopping between hotels and Airbnb rooms and needed a respectable pair of lightweight computer speakers for tinkering with projects on the road cos my old Genelecs are like like blocks of lead.
Found these PreSonus E3.5’s on Amazon going for 73 quid cos the box had been opened. I just wanted something that wasn’t too naff or tinny but these sound like little studio monitors! Ridiculously clear and detailed with a kick like a big pair of high-end hi-fi speakers. No hiss, hum, distortion or interference of any kind, everything sounds amazingly full and clear. I can actually work with these! Perhaps not final mix feature film stuff but they’re more than adequate for dialogue editing and sound design and absolutely fantastic for listening to stuff for pleasure.
I’d recommend these to absolutely everyone. At the price they’re an absolute no-brainer.
Great near field monitors
Tidy powered monitor package with a good selection of inputs.
The treble is quite directional (although that could be my aging ears) but once set up at the right height they sound good.
Using them with Logic for home recording and pleased with the response and lack of colouration.
Bluetooth is a nice added bonus
Been using them for music, gaming and Reason.. absolutely excellent little monitors
A few years down the line the main one just died. Crackles when switched on and only gives sound through the headphone jack.. so I just ordered another set right now. That’s how much I like them
Great quality, clean sounding speakers
Very happy with these little 3.5 inch speakers – first tried out music via Bluetooth from phone and was immediately impressed, no colouring of the sound which seems very clear from bass to mid range and treble (listened to Indian flute with sitar and tabla, acoustic guitar and vocals, Hed Kandi’s Winter Chill). I have the speakers positioned just 70cm apart from the middle and angled slightly inwards, ready for a small music studio desk setup. The audio depth and stereo separation is perfect for my needs.
Very impressed
I am working on a score and wanted small desktop monitors. The area I work in is small and if I want to monitor on speakers go to other room to listen on Adam monitors. I was getting ear fatigue working under headphones (Sennheiser HD600) so bought these. I am mega impressed with the sound definition. I did turn the bass down on the speakers as currently no foam absorbers under them. I am very impressed.
I ordered these for use at work with my iMac, after reading some of the great reviews. On the day they were due to be delivered, for some reason I decided to read the negative ones and these worried me a bit. The two main criticisms seemed to be: a). a residual hum from the transformer, and b). distortion caused by a lack of structural integrity in the cases. Upon plugging them in, the first thing I listened for was that hum – nothing. The second thing was the distortion; bearing in mind I was trying them out with some heavy bass tracks, I was getting no distortion at all. The sound quality is superb for the price; these are powerful enough with their 50W to ensure you won’t be wanting for volume or oomph when you need it. Even when playing something like Paper Bag by Ronnie Size (drum and bass) I couldn’t get them to distort. The only conclusion I can draw regarding the criticisms is that the manufacturers must have read those and reacted by making improvements. As a former electronics engineer I know very well what transformer hum sounds like, and it simply isn’t there. I also know what distortion sounds like and that isn’t there either. By the way, i took another reviewer’s advice and spent a little more for the 4.5 rather than the 3.5 and he was right – well worth it for the sound and punch you get. These are marketed as being monitors for a music studio but they are ideal as PC speakers if you want quality, rather than the generally rubbish sound you get from units aimed at the computer market. If you can afford 120 quid, get these, they are brilliant.
I bought this pair for laptop setup. Sound is important in what I do, and this is a classic pair of studio monitors. I haven’t used them for bluetooth, but sound directly from the computer using a standard USB audio out sounds crystal clear, accurate, and well balanced. The bass is tight and focused and not over-balanced like some speakers. I have a pair of JBL 306P’s on my desktop setup (with a Focusrite 2i2 sound module and balanced cables) that sound marginally clearer and better balanced, but that’s a better sound source, and the speakers cost 3 times as much. These are great for streaming music and working with sound when you are on the road. They sound best at ear level, so use speaker stands. I would buy them again.
Before these I was using the Logitech Z533 and before those, the KEF LSX II with a REL sub. Yeah… huge difference. I sold the LSX II and REL as it was overkill for my situation, replacing them with the Z533. The Logitech’s weren’t doing it for me though… they fell in the bracket of 2+1 instead of 2.1. By this I mean you could distinctly tell it was a separate sub instead of it being “invisible” and complimentary to the speakers.
I’ve found that to be the case though with most lower end 2.1 systems, the sub tends to be +1 instead of .1 which is why I usually go with quality 2.0 setups (hence the LSX II before I decided to add a sub anyway).
That brings me over to these PreSonus Eris E4.5. If you’ve got the space and budget, go with the 4.5 over the 3.5. Even with subjective listening comparisons on YouTube you can clearly hear a fuller sound with the extra inch cone.
Now the sound quality having listened to them first hand. They blow the Z533 out of the water. Period. Compared to the LSX II (costing around 1k), they’re seriously impressive given their 140 (time of review) price tag. They don’t have rumbling bass – nor does the LSX II – but it is there and it’s punchy. Separation isn’t fantastic compared to the LSX II but these are a fraction of the price.
Coming from a hobbyist audiophile that used to use headphones such as Hifiman Arya, Grado GS1000, and Denon AH-D7000… considering the price, if I had a reputation I’d stake it on these speakers. They easily punch over their price point.
If you’re expectations are set on not rumbling your room with bass, for a desktop setup these are fantastic.
as a whole, these are some of the nicest studio monitors you can get for the price, comparing them to edifiers the 4.5 blows the edifiers out the water in all aspects. bass is crisp and tight, mids and highs are well perceieved and clear. the build quality is nice howver i wouildve liked to see a better finish on the front. these pick up impurities and fingerprints like no other. i personally use these for desk use due to how professional they look and the sound they give out for the size. for 150 normally and 120 on sale. these are a no brainer.
however. not all is good, i noticed a few days into using these that occasionally i would get random noises and interference. on closer inspection it turns out to be EMI interference from my phone playing havoc on the bluetooth reciever. so bare in mind this when getting the bluetooth variant (this happens even if the phone isnt connected and is simply nearby (a few cm)) this is not a huge dealbreaker however and the sound is still great.
