I’ve been thinking about buying an air fryer for quite a long time and finally decided to invest. I’m so pleased I did. The fryer not only saves time and energy (therefore money!) but it also makes food nice and crispy. The instructions could be a bit more in-depth but after some trial and error I’m starting to get use to it. I also invested in a meat thermometer to make sure things are cooked properly, especially when I’m cooking things like chicken. If your in two minds about buying one of these all I can say is go for it!

Wow. I can’t live without this now, it has changed the way I do everything. If it can be airfried, it’s going in the airfryer. Chicken, sausages, peppers, tofu, potatoes, vegetables, EVERYTHING.
The presets make it so easy to make certain things like chips etc. Can’t wait to try and bake with i

My son says this is the best electrical appliance I have purchased. It’s used daily and you can put everything in on the different shelves set timer and function and leave it to get on with the cooking. Love it 🙂

Instructions are very limited but online you can get revipes, timings and technical info very easily.
The fryer is so easy to clean and to take apart and feels good quality.
The digital display is clear and easy to set.
It is fine size for a couple but for familirs you may want to buy the larger version.

This product was bought as a Christmas present, no issues with delivery and not damaged. Have used it a couple of times already and it is brilliant. However there are a 2 issues. 1) The control panel is wired incorrectly, it came with a sticker over the control panel which we peeled off only to realise that once we peeled it off the temperature now does the time and the time is the temperature, so the sticker was there for the correct display. A minor issue. 2) The air fryer never came with the grill shelf, which it does state it is the box, it only came with the cake baking tin. Overall though, the product is quiet while in use and does produce lovely crispy food. I would still recommend

Great product so far.. only 2 issues.. we'll see in 6months

for a single person it saves you the fuss of turning on a whole oven for a just a small amount of food, it is very easy to clean and easy to experiment and adjust. First ‘samples’ of pork came out delicious. Two key points: always pre-heat before use and wash carefully after use, soak the baskets into soap and water and leave them for a while if you have to, but always wash them with a soft sponge after every use. I will be back with an updated review after a few months, let’s see how it goes.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis replaced my Actifry which I loved and didn’t think I would find anything better to cook chips. The Princess Air Fryer is completely different and can be quite fiddly to get the chip basket in the right position so it turns. I imagine I will have the same problem cooking chicken until I get used to it. However, once it is clipped into place, it does make the most amazing chips, in my opinion, better than the Actifry. It is most definitely easier to clean and although I haven’t used it as an oven yet, I will do when family come round. I have only given 4 stars for ease of use because of the basket difficulty and the instructions aren’t brilliant.

I am delighted with my Princess Air fryer. The instruction manual is very clear and detailed making it easy to use for an older person unused to such products. All the types of food I have cooked with it so far have been just right and the flavour extremely good. This 3.5 litre version is just right for someone on their own while having capacity to cater for guests if needed. The cleaning process afterwards is easy and quick. Added to this it is a compact good looking addition to my kitchen.

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersBeing essentially a fan-ducted oven in a small space it’s incredibly efficient. It warms to full temperature when required 200c in five minutes max. So far I’ve found it cooks several things brilliantly. Bread rolls; Apple pie; Chips from Heaven! Jacket Potatos; Chicken portions or Drumsticks; Pizza; Tandoori Chicken; Apple Cake; Petit Pain rolls; Everything I find out about online seems to work perfectly in this cooker. So far only 2 things were a waste of time trying 1. Fried egg and 2.Crispy Kale. Fried egg took nearly 8 minutes and by the time the whites were cooked the yolk was hard. Easier to use a frying pan and butter – the job is done in less than 3 mins. Anyhow I bought two of this Princess model one for home and one to use at a Holiday Lodge which proves worth its weight in gold for time saving and clean cooking. I thoroughly recommend this product because I like it and it was decent value for money.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI live on my own and have found this to be an absolutely fantastic product. I have not used my cooker since buying this whereas before, I was using a large oven for perhaps just one or two items of food. It is so easy to use and clean and cooks all foods perfectly. Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHave a smaller air fryer and needed more capacity. This fits the bill. It’s lighter than my old one and much easier to clean….mostly just a wipe with a damp cloth. It allows a 7inch round tin inside if baking. It cooks things very quickly, I feel you need to keep and eye on it to begin with as is more powerful than my oven
However the actual basket is fiddly to detach from the main body so I tend to take both out together and serve from there. That is really my only negative so far. Great for chips (of course), baked potatoes, instant meals etc. Did salmon in foil parcels very quickly.

Princess was a new brand to my wife and myself and we’d never even heard of them. We had used a well known brand air fryer for several years and had been very happy with it.

Along came this unheard of brand and it’s blown it away. So many more settings and most importantly a massive bucket of a basket which means we can cook so much more. Chips could be unevenly cooked in the old fryer, but this has so much room you really can’t go wrong.

    Fantastic product.

    5 Stars.

  76. Anonymous says:

This is giant sized. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big. You definitely need the counter space available for this because you aren’t going to want to keep moving this.

It is family sized so making dinner for all of us is actually good using this and I feel good knowing I have made it a little healthier. Now to convince the kids they need to eat more than chicken nuggets and chips lol.

Unfortunately a lot of the cooking I have done with this has been trial and error. The instructions leaflet was pretty bad and I had to practice with how to cook with this. There wasn’t anything else this came with. No idea for what to cook booklet or anything. I pretty much tried a bunch of stuff and if it worked brilliant, if not I ordered take away 🙂

Whilst this is very good, for me the size drives me a bit nutty because its so big.

There should be some clearer instructions or cooking ideas or something with this too. I have used an air fryer before so was a little more adept at it, however, not everyone can say that. Making it easier to use will make it more appealing to new users.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWe’ve been using air fryers now for about eight years, and this is, in terms of design and ease of use once you understand how to use it, the best. It has a large capacity, has electronic programming for temperature and duration (our previous ones have mechanical for both), is easier to clean, and produces a very even fry. Even on first use, after washing down the elements with soapy water, there was no metallic or plastic taste which people have reported with other models.

The only downside is that the provided instructions are extremely misleading, and very scant. When you use it (in contrast to other models) it first does a warm up. It’s not until it has beeped to say that it has done it that you put in the food and press the start button. That is the point at which the timer starts going down. The instructions do not describe this at all, merely stating that you may want to warm it up first. It is also provided with a quiche or baking tin, but no explanation of how you work with it, and, indeed, no explanation for any of the other settings.

The original Philips Air Fryer was provided with comprehensive instructions and a recipe book. This is provided with almost nothing, although it has far more functions and is much more complex.

Five stars for the unit itself, minus one star for making you figure it out.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst off – this is beast. It takes up a large amount of worktop space, and would need a decent sized cupboard if youre planning to put it away between uses; so bear that in mind if you have a small kitchen or limited available counter-top real estate!
Second, I dont know if they all do, but mine had only a VERY basic use leaflet – no real guidance on use, so a lot of it was trial and error – for example I cooked oven chips in it and they cremated within 15 minutes – 8 minutes seemed about the right time, but then making mini-roast potatoes, they took about the same time as doing them in the oven. A lot of its use is guessing and then making a mental note for next time.
That said, everything thats been cooked in it has been perfect (once the timing was sorted) – with barely any oil added so it probably is somewhat healthier – but it DOES depend on what youre cooking; e.g. it wont make a sausage a healthy sausage if its already very high in fat!
I tend, therefore, instead to use it not as a “health product”, but more for cooking things I need doing quickly, or where the result is better in this than it would be in the oven. For example, a roast chicken in this is unbelievable – like rotisserie at home; super moist meat but really crisp skin. Roast veg is also generally better – no soggy bits mixed with charcoal – it seems to be able to give even, consistent results an oven doesnt always achieve.

So if you have room and do a lot of oven cooking, I would massively recommend it; but unless it typically comes with a guide recipe book, you might need to spend some time on google to figure out how best to use it!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have been lucky enough to have tried most brands of airfryer and this one is the most useful, quickest to cook and big enough for a family to use .
I have cooked cakes, pies ,pizza , pasta bakes .potato chips and nuggets in this . macaroni cheese comes out really nicely browned.
I find it cooks in half the normal time and at a lower temperatures and everything comes out crispy if you need it to or baked to perfection.
The control panel is easy to use with presets or you can set your own times and temperatures via the touch screen and opening the drawer is easy if you push the button cover forward as you pull the drawer out.
The reached temperature and finished cooking beeps are quite loud so you won’t miss hearing it and the basket and the drawer are easy to clean.
This unit has a lot more cooking power and when I go back to my original branded airfryer it seems sluggish and slow by comparison and it smokes during cooking a lot more than this one .
If i were to buy another airfryer it would definately be this one for its size alone

  80. ImogenIqbal says:

I tend to avoid fried foods for health reasons however this air fryer uses little or no oil so the food doesn’t come out greasy. It seems like a very healthy alternative and very convenient to use.
What is particularly good is that it is not just a fryer. A deep fat fryer you can only fry stuff and its full of oil and messy, With this using heated air you can bake, cook sausages and steaks, defrost stuff and even cook vegetables. I find myself using this to do things I might normally have done with the microwave like cooking frozen or fresh vegetables so that is another healthy thing. I have not tried cooking quiche or baking as my culinary skills are not that good but for my level of cooking skills this is a fantastic addition to the kitchen. It also seems to cook stuff faster than it would have taken in the oven such as sausages and with less mess. I did some burger patties the other night that I would normally have fried in a pan and they came out beautifully.
I think its a great buy and worth every penny

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Princess Air Fryer is big and versatile. It is a good job that it does so many different things as this is going to take up quite a bit of space on your worktop. At 5.2 litre capacity, this 182050 is the joint largest fryer in the Princess range and truly family sized in being able to do up to 6 portions in one go!

It also has the added bonus of being relatively healthy – using only a fraction of the oil that frying would and using it to cook by circulating air. Now that is all well and good but what do finished products taste like?

The first thing we tried was chips (of course ) and these were not too bad considering this was our first attempt at using this. Then we used it to grill some bacon. This was not as tasty as fried bacon but I was reminded that grilling that on any appliance seldom is.

We then did the Sunday roast in it, mixing the chicken and the veg together. This actually worked really well maybe because of the additional fat contained within the chicken literally made the juices flow.

We are yet to try baking – not bread -but we understand it can do quiches and cakes but I haven’t let the Mary Berry in me loose yet as visually appealing that seems to be!

The main criticisms I have if this is that the draw to it is rather stiff and a bit of an effort to get in and out when it is full. Also, the whole thing is quite noisy when it is working full tilt.

But I really like it. I like the programmes and digital display and it is relatively quick, very convenient and most importantly you can feel far less guilty about having the naughty but nice things in your diet knowing they have at least been prepared in the healthiest way possible.

This Princess is almost the total package and one which can rule the roost in your kitchen for a reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis air fryer holds twice as much as my previous one. I can now cook enough chips for five of us in one go. The chips come out crisp ( from frozen ) and not at all dry as they do in a regular oven, normal homemade chips are great to, you just add a teaspoon of oil. I have cooked fish, low fat sausages and something I have never done before is to bake a cake. I used a 6oz flour, sugar flour and 3 egg mix plus coconut and was pleased with the result but next time I will try an 8oz mix just to make a bigger rise.It took 40 mins to cook with no getting up to check it. It may be a bit dark for some so you always cook for 35 mins instead.
The fryer is very easy to use just select mode and then the motif for which ever food item which is being cooked which is self explanatory. You can also set your own settings manually.
Usually when the Grandchildren come I have to cook twice in my old fryer now it is all cooked in one go and although I can cook twice as much in this fryer it does not take up anymore room on the worktop it is just taller. I use the air fryer for most of my cooking now as it is quicker, healthier and most food items that can be cooked in a regular oven can be cooked in the air fryer.

    Perfect for a family.
