I got this product as my bedroom was starting to acquire a mildew aroma that naturally, wasn’t welcome. It looks cheap and tacky, but I didn’t want to spend much money on a solution that might not work.

Let’s start by explaining what this item actual is. Inside this unit is a tiny refrigerator that cools down air brought in by a fan. The cooling air then condenses and water droplets form. This is the same way that condensation forms on your caravan window on a cold day and you have your heating on. This liquid is then collected in the lower tray while the air, slightly colder and drier than before, is ejected back into the room.

Taking the above into consideration this means there are two noticeable effects. The noise of the fan and the cooling of the air. As I let this machine run practically 24 hours I can attest that the noise is quiet and uniform, it took me a couple of days to adjust to the ‘white-noise’ effect of this machine running. I can say the noise is similar to a computer gently idling in an office. The cooling of the ejected air is barely noticeable and would likely be easily overwhelmed by natural room heat. I think it might be a couple of degrees change at the very most.

    Longevity:
I have had two events that has resulted in this unit almost dying on me. I must add that it has not died, and is still doing its job now.

The first incident was when I noticed the tray had stopped accumulating water. This was about 18 months after I purchased the unit. After a brief inspection I noticed the vents were filled with dust. Using a stiff paint brush I cleared the vents and air could now get into the machine.

The second incident was a few days ago. I woke up to find the machine sitting in a pool of water. Again, a further inspection revealed there was a fluff blockage where the water leaves the unit and enters the reservoir tray. Upon removing the offending fluff, I then placed the unit on a rack and let it run for 24 hours. The unit has performed fine since and has returned to my bedside.

Please note that none of the inspections and fixes involved removing any screws or components other than the user removable reservoir tray. All maintenance was done with a brush or fingers and ensuring that it was isolated from the electrical supply before doing so.

    Conclusions:
This will be fine for a small room such as a caravan or medium sized bedroom. Keep the unit clean and dust-free and it will look and last for a while. I recommend putting it on an absorbent cloth in case the machine does develop a fault. If you want something you can plug in and leave, then buy something more expensive. This is cheap and will need a bit of attention from time to time. It can be independently turned off and the green LED can be covered over with a little sticker or blu-tack if it bothers you at night.

Secondly, I was not paid to write this review and I did not receive the unit for free. I had forgotten how much I paid for the unit and looked it up on Amazon. 36.99. It’s a great little unit that is the size of a lunchbox. Easily portable enough to take on caravan holiday.

EDIT – The unit died on 18/06/2020. It was full and the yellow light came on. When I replaced the water reservoir, the green light started to flash. This indicates, according to the manual, that it is not working (Yeah… Thanks manual).

We have had an ongoing issue with a conservatory of sorts having constant condensation. As this is where my home office is placed this did cause some concern.

Whilst not completely resolving this little unit is collecting a complete fill of water every 10 days or so. It’s simple to use, does seems pretty generic as a number of options look very similar.

One note of caution, there is a hum. If your a light sleeper and using in a bedroom it may not be for you.

Unfortunately I cannot review this product as it was purchased for our tenant to use. We have a problem with mould at the property we let because of the way that she lives, so this is a gesture from her landlord to remind her that she also has responsibilities as to how she should manage the situation. Our letting agents are currently closed, because of Covid19, so we have no idea if the product is being effective.

It does a good job and I was really surprised at the amount of liquid collected when I first used this. It’s a good size and looks okay but obviously you need to make sure there’s somewhere relevant to put it near a plug socket and the cable isn’t that long (you might need an extension lead). The only real downside is that it’s a bit too noisy for me – I’m quite sensitive to noise and wouldn’t be able to have this on in a room whilst I was trying to sleep. Oversall a decent product.

This product is perfect form my cabins office, as it’s a naturally dam environment this is small enough to not get in the way and you can Barly here it.
When it gets full it switches itself off so you dont have to worry about over filling it.
I have to empty mine every 3 days and I have it on my highest shelf with other dehumidifer boxs around the cabin to help, will be buying more soon as they pull more damp pit of the atmosphere than the stand alone boxs.

I was surprised at how small it was when it arrived as I hadn’t fully considered the dimensions as I went for the 500ml version. It looks like a little ‘darlik’ in my windowless en-suite shower room. So far it is keeping the ‘dampness’ off the walls (yes we do have a strong extractor fan too) after the extractor timer finishes. It is quiet enough not to be heard in the bedroom. It wouldn’t be heavy duty enough to dry out a leak etc but for ongoing maintenance it suits this small room perfectly. Luckily we have access to a 3pin socket inside the room so no extension leads etc needed which would make it impractical.

This is a great little dehumidifier that has (so far) dramatically reduced the condensation in our bedroom patio doors. During cold weather the bottom half off both doors would be covered in condensation resulting in damage to our carpet over time. Since using this unit we’ve not had an issue at all with condensation in the bedroom and I’m hoping that the new carpet will be fine from here on (fingers crossed).
The unit’s currently placed on the floor behind the blinds and curtains and it’s quiet enough to not keep us awake when it’s running throughout the night. It doesn’t have a compressor hence the quiet running. It’s a 23 Watt unit and running it for 24 hrs will use up 552 Watts meaning that it costs me 6.3p to run it for a whole day. A small price to pay for a damp free room.
It’s small enough to fit in a windowsill should you need to place one there – I’m very tempted to buy one for my child’s room as well.
As you can see from the photos, it’s very compact when you compare it to a standard electric toothbrush.
This unit isn’t designed to remove moisture from your whole house but it will make a difference to individual rooms. If you need one for the whole house you’ll need a much bigger unit than this.

A small and quiet dehumidifier that does the job!

Bought 2 ProBreeze in January. I have used them around the house over the past four weeks and have been very pleased with them. Before I have used condensation crystals and was buying some many bags of them that I decided to use a dehumidifier. I looked around at all that was on offer and decided on the ProBreeze Mini 500l. They are compact and stand on furniture so no tripping over them. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the amount of water they have taken from my home. I have used them in every room big and small and have found them to work well in all. I am currently using one of them in my utility room to help dry my washing. Also I have had an email update from the manufacturer on how to maintain them which has been very helpful.

This is great for my campervan when it’s not in use, even though it takes a while to collect moisture. Whisper quiet, it wouldn’t disturb us even when we were sleeping in winter, which would be useful to prevent condensation. I’m looking forward to trying it for that.
It would be great if it also had a 12v transformer, then I could use it off the leisure battery as well….
I would suggest it’s not for large areas like a house kitchen, or it would struggle but great for campervans, caravans, motor homes etc.

The dehumidifier has improved the mould issues and condensation build up on my windows in my bathroom and bedroom. It’s very easy to empty and easy to move between rooms as it’s small and portable. The noise is minimal, so I’ve not noticed any strange or loud noise. I don’t keep this on all day and night. So for now I cannot say if the electric bill is high due to the use of the humidifier’s, as i I only use when I’m home. But it’s made a vast improvement to the mould/damp issues in my bathroom and bedroom. Making it much easier to breath in those rooms and I can see the dehumidifiers are working because the container capturing the water is emptied frequently. It’s worth the money and so far I’ve not faced any issues or problems with the dehumidifiers.

I used this little dehumidifier in a small room at the back of my house, (the one that used to be called the box room).it works great, although it’s small, taking a lot of water /;damp from the room. I just wish the tank was a little bigger for my room as I am continually emptying it, my husband says this will decrease once the initial damp has been taken out of the room. I hope so!!

Was surprised how small it is, it is like a desktop size but I will admit it is a good little thing. It is fine for a small to medium room, especially if there is condensation around the windows and it does pull a lot of moisture out of the air so needs emptying on a regular basis. If you have damp issues or mould then get a proper big dehumidifier.

Shocked, but not in a bad way, for the size it’s amazing, bedroom condensation has been a real problem we ordered it on Tuesday, came on Wednesday in the first few hours noticed a huge difference, since then it’s perfect, my parents are over the moon, cannot hardly hear it.

Considerations getting a second so happy…

1 week in and it’s still fantastic I leave it on for over 12 hours overnight. Can hardly hear it, made a huge difference not only to the window still but also the room.

2nd week, still working, we have notice a huge difference the water is collecting is unreal, Best Buy of the last decade

So we have a small condensation issue in a hallway (outside a bathroom) and tried various fixes for this with various results.

So onto this little unit, sits on a shelf and runs 24/7. Holds 500ml of water (which takes about a week to produce) and the condensation issue in the area is noticeably better.

Makes a low fan hum noise, not invasive at all. Had a few emails from the supplier asking about issues or worries and giving helpful hints on cleaning and keeping the unit happy.

Would i buy it again? Absolutely

We had black mould on our blinds in our unheated conservatory but no visible signs of damp like condensation. We’ve had this little machine (smaller than I expected) for around a week and everyday there is a surprising amount of water in it, haven’t actually measured the amount but a good half a mug. Its very quiet, I thought I might try in our bedroom in summer as I’ve read it could reduce allergies. I read other reviews that say how much electricity it uses and they say its economical, we run it 24/7 until the summer I expec

I bought this pro breeze humidifier about a month ago,I tried everything I could think of to reduce damp in my bedroom and to stop the mould on three out of the four walls but to no avail. So I decided to check on humidifiers ,I went for the pro breeze because I wanted one that I could leave on 24/7. I definitely made the right choice because it is economical to run only costing about 21p per week leaving on 24/7 also it is very quite so it doesn’t disturb my sleep and most importantly I have had no more damp or mouldy walls since using the pro breeze. every 5-6 days I have needed to empty the tank which holds 500mls of water,Water which would have been on my bedroom walls if I hadn’t been using the pro breeze, So therefore I cannot praise this product highly enough so if you want a product that is small cheap to run and very quite then I would highly recommend this produc

This product has an excellent relation of value/cost for the result. It is quite small and it absorbs humidity constantly but in small quantities. In a small room, it reduces humidity by 2-3% compared not to have it. The level of noise is low but still, make some noise that you get acquainted on time. For a small room with 84% humidity, it takes 4-5 days to absorb 500 ml. Consumption of electricity appears to be moderate but there were not the efficiency ratings that must have been mandatory by law in the box.

I use this in a fairly small kitchen that with three exterior walls can suffer from damp. In this situation it work fine, capturing about half a cup of liquid a day, which certainly seems to help and its compact size means it doesn’t take up too much space. However despite it’s claims of being ‘ultra quiet’ it certainly is not, it not exactly loud but there is distinct whine from the fan/motor which in a quiet room would be hard to ignore — acceptable in my kitchen, but I wouldn’t want it in my lounge or bedroom.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI was very skeptical about this but decided on a Black Friday deal to get one. Not much surprises me these days but this has. Our bedroom is an extension and is always cooler than the rest of the house. It suffers with damp and condensation on the windows. I have had this dehumidifier 1 week now and not a sign of condensation since as the video shows. Not even a little in the corners! It is very quiet and I was a bit worried as I like it quiet when I sleep. No problem at all. I saw a video of another purchaser and he has definitely got a faulty one. So if you have damp and condensation issues try it. You can always send it back if it doesn’t work for you but from my experience you will be pleased.

I am so pleased with this product. It was easy to set up and I plugged it into a dampish bedroom, that had a mould smell and condenstion so the problem wasn’t extreme but concerning.
I left it on all day and by the evening the smell had gone, the bedding and a slightly damp wall was dry and the whole room smells fresh.
There was about a tea cup of water in the tank after 2 days. I now put it on every morning for a couple of hours and position it in a different place.
Only small downside is the lead is not as I would of like but not a problem to get round.
I was so impressed I have recommended to other members of the family and I would advise going to the website as there was a discount code, that I had missed so could have saved a couple of pounds but still worth it for the extended guarantee.

Cant comment on running costs yet – fingers crossed on that but a fresher room and nights sleep is priceless.

Found we had to purchase 3 of these little dehumidifiers, after our 2 person 3 bed bungalow recently transformed into a 7 person bungalow, which ultimately resulted in huge condensation/damp problems for us. After reading the positive reviews given for them (plus the fact we just don’t have the room any longer for a huge super-sonic dehumidifier!), we decided on this compact version in the hope that our damp issues would be resolved. After using for a few weeks or so, although we have found that they certainly work (as in they definitely collect water from the atmosphere in whatever room they’re positioned), they do struggle to totally eliminate the condensation, but that is purely down to how many there is of us here at the moment and the amount of showers and baths that are taken on a daily basis. We have found that it does help if the room is even just slightly ventilated too, but of course that isn’t always possible when there are small children in a bedroom and it’s particularly cold outside. We do believe that if there were still only the two of us (or maybe even three) in our property, then we’re pretty sure that these mini dehumidifiers would have coped admirably – so “yes”, we would recommend them, but perhaps for a smaller property with less humans!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExtremely impressed with this machine! It certainly works.

In four days it has become completely full and I had to empty it (I’ve had it on 24/7). I used to have TONNES on condense on my windows (literally pools of water) and they’re now completely gone (some reviews say it doesn’t remove water on windows but it does – It just takes time. It’s not like the water drops fly across the room.. It’s a process).

I bought it because I detected a lot of mould behind my bed which made me realise just how damp my room was. The whole room now feels fresh and I noticed an immediate change of air within 15 minutes – the air is SO much better and feels very fresh, almost like you’re outside (not London air, more like the air in the nature. You know when you’re in the woods, you breathe in and it just feels very fresh?). It has also had a positive impact on my asthma.

It does sound but not in an annoying way at all – it just sounds like you have your AC on, pretty soothing in my opinion. I have it on the window frame (yes, it’s small enough to fit!) just by my bed and I have no issues sleeping with it switched on. I also spend most of my time in my room studying, and the ‘noise’ doesn’t affect my studying at all. Quite the opposite, I find it rather calming.

The only thing I can’t really say anything about is the energy consumption. Someone commented that it costs about 10/month to have it switched on and if that’s the case, it’s well worth it.

  31. Terry Walsh says:

Ddefinitely works, gets about a cup of water every couple of days. However, sadly, for me the humidity in the room just isn’t affected, if anything the mould has worsened (obviously a coincidence) since I started using it.

Get this if you have a little room that is a few perfect more humid than you’d like. But for anyone like me in a very humid room, get one of the expensive ones, I’m planning on getting the 20liter/day model (which seems to average 10 litres a week in reality).

When this unit was delivered I was worried by the size. Then I opened the Amazon box and saw that it was only half full and my heart sank!
It is the size of a small kettle but boy oh boy does it perform!
Bought it to dry out a fitted wardrobe that is against an outside wall and was virtually unusable because of condensation damp. In a week this little unit has removed around 300ml of water and already the wardrobe feels much drier.
Inside the wardrobe it is virtually inaudible.
For small spaces it is unbeatable! Can’t fault it.

I like the quiet noise level it would not disturb anyone sleeping. I like the ease of use of the machine no complicated set up just plug and play. Also it seems very effective and removed a lot of moisture from a bedroom. It looks small but don’t let that put you off it is very effective. Also I like the fact it is light and very portable and very unobtrusive and fits in any small corner of a room. Also I like the price which is massively different to many very expensive well known brands.

I was pleasantly surprised when this dehumidifier arrived and it was so small. Who wants a huge appliance taking over their room?! I have had some small issues with damp even after having a damp course done and my house is pretty old so thought it was time I invested in a dehumidifier. This has definitely drawn water out of the air and I am sure is helping to keep the damp at bay. I wouldn’t call it noisy but you can hear a sort of waves going back and forth kind of sound which is actually pretty soothing. I dare say you wouldn’t notice the noise at all after using it for a while.

We purchased 2 off machines one for the lounge and one for the upstairs landing. The house has 3 bedrooms, bathroom upstairs and a lounge / dinner, hallway, large kitchen downstairs. All electric heating. Over the winter period with the windows being kept closed to conserve heat the upstairs unit has been emptied around every 2 to 3 days and the downstairs unit every 7 to 8 days. Condensation on the windows has been eliminated and are home feels warmer.
Noise on the lowest speed is acceptable on the landing and at the for end of the lounge. Do not run it on high speed. We feel the unit works really efficiently very pleased.

I’ve only had this for 6 months or so with very minimal problems whatsoever, I’ve had a few dehumidifiers in this price range and I was skeptical about buying this one as most of the other ones died fairly early on (in the first few months) but this little trooper is still going strong. So far, I am definitely satisfied with my purchase.

There is one minor problem in which I feel I should mention although it does not affect my satisfaction with the product whatsoever: When handling the water tray, even when holding it carefully, water can leak out of gaps in the plastic when desposing of said water (when in transit from the device to the sink etc).

No water has ever leaked while the dehumidfier has the tray in place even when moving the dehumidifier around, so I don’t believe this a cause for concern, just watch your drips while you dispose of the water.

I purchased this product as it had received excellent reviews on Amazon. This dehumidifier is for my summer house which is at the bottom of my garden. I have had it for over a week now and all I can say is “why have I waited so long to buy one of these”!?
It has been a really excellent purchase (wasn’t expecting much as it was so cheap) it has transformed a 10ft x 14ft outdoor room from feeling cold and musty into a really great place to sit and read. The noise it makes is noticeable but not not intrusive and you soon don’t realise it’s there at all.
As with conservatory’s the large glass windows do tend to condense when you heat them, even though double glazed, this little machine has made the air dryer and I can’t recommend it enough. Don’t think about buying this just do it, you won’t regret it.

A great product. I purchased this as was starting to get some black mould around my window. I leave it on during the day now and it collects lots of moisture from the air. So happy! The tray to empty the water can be a bit tempremental sometimes to get out, but it’s fine most of the time. It’s not the quietest thing in the world, for example, you wouldn’t have it on in your bedroom while going to sleep, but anyone should expect at least some noise from an item like this – it’s perfectly inline with other items noise levels I’d say. For the price, I can’t complain.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRecently moved to an older property with some dodgy double glazing. When cold weather kicked in we realised we had condensation issues in master bedroom especially resulting in having to dry inside of windows every morning and ,when at its worst, puddle on windowsill. Decided this reasonably priced dehumidifier was worth a try. Very quiet in operation and whilst not cured the misted windows, has made a big difference and certainly not seen puddle on windowsill. Our bedroom is big, two generous windows and a glass door to outside, so reckon we are maybe asking too much of one unit, so considering maybe getting another unit while we save up for replacement glazing.

Great product. We had the walls in our new house painted recently and decided to buy this to keep moisture levels down. This machine does just that. The amount of water it collects after a day or two is incredible. We actually wonder where the moisture comes from for the machine to collect. We also noticed that condensation around our windows is now non-existent especially in winter months when it’s cold outside and the heating on inside. Product works straight from the box. Just unpack, plug in and it’s ready to go. Couldn’t be simpler and you can see it working within hours. We use it mainly in the kitchen/dining room. Unit very quietly hums absolutely no distraction for us whatsoever. We leave it on 24 hours a day and switch it around rooms of the house every so often just to let it get to work in other rooms. Highly recommended.

It seems to be working really well. We have a very damp pantry and it’s been quietly collecting water every day now. It was extremely easy to set up (literally plugged it in and pressed the power button) and equally easy to empty the water tank. When I first plugged it in I kept checking it to see if it was working and when nothing had been collected after 24 hours I was concerned. I turned it off and looked around it to see if I didn’t do something, but couldn’t see anything so turned it back on and left it for another day. I have no idea if I magically did something or if it just needs a day to get started, but since then there’s been water added to the tank every day. The only thing I’m unsure about is how to clean the tank. I received an email saying it was a good idea to clean it once a month to stop bacterial growth, but as far as I can tell you can’t open the lid. (To empty the tank you pull a little plug like the ones in little water guns) I don’t want to force it! I’m very pleased with how well it’s working, how quiet it is, how easy it was too get it going, and definitely the price!!
UPDATE: I had it for a year and absolutely loved it. It was a little work horse in our very damp pantry. However, it just stopped working one day. I hadn’t emptied it and it stopped automatically. But when I emptied the tank, it just wouldn’t start up again. Amazon is refunding me and the customer service was great, but to be honest, I just want my dehumidifier back! Which is why, even though it broke, I don’t want to give it less stars than 4. I’m probably going to just buy another one

When moving into my main house, a major issue I had was that my bathroom was 1. Windowless and 2. The ventilator was broken. Because of this, my bathroom quickly became damp and covered in mould. Thankfully, it was a small bathroom and felt like it could be easily resolved with a small dehumidifier.

After a month or so of using this item, I am impressed in how well it collected steam and has prevented the mould regrowth within the bathroom. It clears the bathroom within 15-20 minutes maximum.

There is a slight humming sound that the dehumidifier makes, it isn’t noticeable enough to wake you up from sleep, but can get annoying if left on for long periods of time.

The only downside is that the plug seems cheap and doesn’t always fit the dehumidifier. It becomes easily detached by the slight movement, as well as the issue of it being plug operated potentially being affected by the steam. Other than that I am impressed in how well it works.

    Pros:
    -Small/Portable
    -Affordable
    -Minimal noise
    -Easy to use

    Cons:
-Not sure if suitable for bathrooms due to being plug powered
    -Humming noise can become repetitive
    -Plug doesn’t stay attached

was not sure this would work at first Son’s bedroom very wet windows, it filled quickly but not the whole chamber ..not much seemed to happen so I emptied it and set it on again. The results are great, the air immediately felt cleaner and the windows are dry in the morning . Really happy and now have been able to manage how long it is on for to do the best job.

I have a craft room set up in my conservatory, and my lovely paperstock was curly due to the damp over the winter. This lovely little dehumidifier removes all that moisture quietly and effeciently (the proof is in the water reservoir!)

Easy to use, takes up virtually no space and is whisper quiet. At the price, it’s a no brainer.

I’ve only recently purchased and started using this product, but have so far been very impressed with the results; Within a couple of hours of use the unit had pulled an impressive amount of water from the air – I probably should have gone for a larger model, given the age and dankness of this old cottage, but so far this unit is proving to be a worthwhile investment.
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a dehumidifier in action – boy were they loud – and I am suitably impressed with how quiet this one is and can easily leave it on throughout the day without it being a bother – it is audible, but not the sort of noise levels that force you to turn up the volume on the television. It doesn’t cause the electricity metre to spike, either, which is nice!

Without having rivals to compare this to I can’t pass a true judgement, but never-the-less I am pleased with the results and have no qualms recommending this product.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThese are excellent for use in a small space. They are a zillion times better than those things with cartridges, which are passive – they are not connected to electricity and rely on whatever air floats through them to work – or not work – as I found out was the case. I have one pro breeze in an on-suite cloakroom and two in outhouses. There is no trace of condensation or black mold forming in any of the locations.

One was used last winter so is in it’s second year of use, but it remains to be seen how durable they are.

One is the larger size, which I don’t think is as well designed as the small ones because the on/off switch is located at the back, which seems less well thought out than the smaller ones which have the switch on the front, next to the ‘full’ indicator, making it easier to get at as you don’t have to turn it around to switch off to empty. Otherwise it performs as well as the smaller ones.

One morning I found grass like icicles had formed on the air intake of one of them, so make sure the whole thing doesn’t freeze up as it could lead to the motor burning out, luckily mine was alright.

I am not going to give a long review as there is no need to.
I was very surprised at how good this little machine is.
I placed it in a bedroom which was always getting damp mould on the outside wall.
This was mainly caused because i use the radiator in the room to dry clothes sometimes, i know i shouldn’t but sometimes needs must.
Well back to my review, I cannot believe just how efficient this little machine is and how much water it has collected.
I only have it on in the daytime and switched of at night even though the motor is pretty quiet.
So all in all i am very happy with my purchase and can highly recommend this to anyone thinking of buying it.

Golden Review Award: 98 From Our UsersI have this dehumidifier in my garden room which has a uPVC dome which causes condensation and dripping on the floor in the cold wet weather. I had borrowed a larger one but it took up too much room and I couldn’t use the room as before. As the photos show, this compact item sits on a small side table. It might be small but I have found it very effective and I consider it great value for money. I will consider buying another for my garage workshop.

    Small but effective!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLike many people I read the reviews and thought why not. Having suffered condensation on our bedroom windows for a while I decided to do something about it and found the Probreeze mini de humidier not only cleared the condensation it also is drying out the window seals which I find incredible. For information, I placed it on the window cill in the day and then closed the curtains when dark, effectively reducing the area to a small space as intended and results came within 24hrs having captured about 150ml of water. As regards the noise, I think it is very quiet but the wife says she can still hear it when its quiet in the room. So overall I’m very happy with the Probreeze and highly recommend it.

Collects about 1/2 litre of water daily in a very humid area. So far, mould in the area has been greatly reduced and only occurs where condensation forms on a cold glass window in the humid room. Would thoroughly recommend this product and would be more than happy to product test any innovative new solutions the manufacturer has!

I’ve had this on in my room since we moved to our new house, as I initially started to get asthma like symptoms and the room felt so humid I felt like my lungs were full of fluid…it’s been two weeks and symptoms are less and it’s been working away well, nearly full for the second time. I also bought a good little hygrometer. I find the slight noise of the dehumidifier comforting. The only thing I have found to be an issue at this stage is how hot the transformer gets, so I have a little usb fan trained on it, which isn’t ideal but puts my mind at rest while needing it on all the time. We’ll be getting a soecialist in to chwck for damp but once my room is sorted there’s plenty of other spaces we can use this.

It’s a great little machine. It has made my bedroom feel less damp and generally a better air quality. I run it pretty much most of the time I’m indoors every day and it’s sound is relatively quiet and easily fades into the background.
Highly recommend if you’re a student or live in a smaller space and tend to air dry yours clothes, it really helps take the moisture from the air and prevent a mould situation.

This is a brilliant little dehumidifier. I have copd and I find that keeping the humidity down in my bedroom helps my breathing (thereby giving me a better nights sleep) and so I have it on all night on my bedside cabinet. It picks up an amazing amount of water for the size of the unit and is pretty cheap to run at only 20w. It’s not completely silent but is pretty quiet all the same, I would say it’s much quieter than a 12 inch desk fan but if you’re a very light sleeper it might give you a problem. I find, having had the Pro Breeze for a while now, I don’t hear the unit at all now as I’ve got used to it being on. All in all it’s a piece of equipment I wouldn’t be without and it’s such great value for money.

It is quieter than a lot of others we tried so does not disturb sleep and of course it does exactly what it is supposed, clears the condensation. We have had saturated windows all through winter and tried everything we could think of to try and keep them clear. We used this for a few weeks and had no condensation and the mould has not returned. Extremely please and we’ll worth the cost. Easy to use and empty. Golden Review Award: 154 From Our UsersWe’d been looking at options for a dehumidifier for some time and when this popped up on a Lightning Deal it seemed like it would fulfil most of our needs. It’s nicely portable so you can easily move it around the house as necessary, for us that involves having it in the kitchen when boiling pasta and rice without wanting to open the windows on a cold day, as well as moving it into a room to aid with drying washing inside during the winter months.

It really does take in a lot of moisture, more so in smaller enclosed spaces like a bathroom or utility room, but most importantly you can appreciably feel the difference when walking into that room, even if some clothes are still damp the air in the room itself is much drier.

It’s really pretty quiet, but make no mistake, it’s not as silent as some make out. It’s unlikely to wake you up if you’re already asleep, but it’s pretty obviously audible if you live in a quiet neighbourhood or in the countryside where there’s no hum of traffic etc. I certainly couldn’t have it on in the bedroom overnight, nor on the landing outside.

It’s unlikely to bother oyu during the day though and the benefits far outweigh the negatives, especially at the price this often appears at.

The motor makes a quiet whirring noise and it can take some getting used to if trying to sleep at night. It states it’s a whisper technology but I’m not so sure it is. It’s not noisy but not quite a whisper either.

It’s build quality is quite nice and I’m sure it will give me good service.

Hence all in all it gets 4 stars from me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve got a real humidity problem when the heating is on and it’s cold outside, ton of condensation that turns into mould by the window. Not anymore though, not if i leave this puppy running for a few hours. If you’re a really light sleeper and you want to leave it running overnight it might be too loud but it’s not a problem for me and I don’t think you’re likely to find a quieter dehumidifier.
Very good for a small-ish room, had it for a few days now and have no complaints. Get like a quarter tank of water a day, used to have so much condensation around the windows, now there’s none.

I was amazed at how well this dehumidifier works. There was easily between 50-100ml of water collected per day and by the time it was ready to empty it had made a huge difference to the room.

The fan makes a tiny hum which is non-intrusive, so you can sleep and relax without it being a bother.

For any technically minded people the product is quite straight forward to take apart for repairs etc. My flat mate stupidly broke mine but i was able to fix it very easily and it is back to normal working order.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this for my daughter as her temporary student accommodation suffered from a lot of condensation in her bedroom, and some mould started to develop. Her bedroom is only small, so I wanted a compact unit. I was also looking for a unit which would be quiet enough to keep running all night (as that is when most of the condensation forms). Having listened to other ‘quiet’ units, which were larger and much more expensive I decided to try this one. I had it delivered to my daughter directly so I have not actually seen or heard it for myself, but my daughter is very pleased. For the past couple of weeks she has kept it running 24 hours per day, which has solved the condensation issue, and she has told me that it is quiet enough for her to sleep (‘probably quieter than a fridge’). Based on my daughter’s feedback I would certainly recommend this unit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have waited a while to review this dehumidifier, to see how it copes with my bathroom. I’m very happy to say that it is working well and is quite happily pulling moisture from the air with no problem. I checked to see how long it took to fill the container, and that it switched off when full. All working well.

This is excellent value for money and after having two expensive Ebacs stop working, this represents a bargain. It’s different technology from the Ebac, which is really sensitive to movement, but then it’s a lot cheaper.

I would recommend this product, it works for me and is a really good price.

It appears a well made unit, quiet operation and once running, it was a couple of days before it began to fill.

Golden Review Award: 95 From Our UsersI generally don’t write reviews, moved recently to Dublin and was surprised to see the moisture levels getting accumulated on the windows. Did some online research and decided to go with this product along with few of the plastic boxes that come with white beads that supposedly absorb moisture from the air (Totally Crap). This I decided to keep adjacent to the large drawing room window and was really surprised with the moisture content it was catching each night. I leave it on entire night, bit noisy but I guess that’s the price one has to pay to tackle the issue. the little monster does the job well, while there is still moisture in certain places, there is only a limit up to which it can handle (No fault of the product), probably I need to 2 or 3 for the size of the windows I have. The only drawback being you need to keep it plugged to an electricity source, not quite safe to keep in the bathrooms due to obvious reasons. Does the job!! Kudos to the engineers…

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI really like this mini dehumidifier, not being an expert I can only go on what It does. I have a terraced house and I use a calor gas heater, therefore I found a lot of moisture around the bay double glazed windows and on the plaster as well. Therefore I purchased this item. Well I can honestly say it does as described, – collects moisture from the air and collects it as water in its removable collection tank. It is quiet and I was surprised on how much moisture it does collect. Another point that swayed me to by was the low running costs, as it only consumes roughly 23 watts when switched on. I am pleased with it and it looks built to last.

I have a wardrobe with two external walls and have tried everything to deal with the damp – endless chemical dehumidifiers, replacing the door with a trellis to encourage airflow, removing half the clothes…. but this dehumidifier is small enough to sit at the bottom, makes a low level hum (noticeable to me, not to my husband) and the cable is thin enough that the doors still close. I have been very impressed by this dehumidifier. It is very compact, and very quiet. In size, it’s smaller than my kettle. I can put it anywhere in my flat within reach of a power socket, you just plug it in and turn it on. To empty the water it collects, just pull out the front collector, pull out the little rubber stopper and empty it down the sink. If you do this while it’s running it automatically turns off. I don’t have a great damp problem but it’s mainly been living in the kitchen where I don’t have an extractor. Very happy with it as a low cost and convenient option.

We bought it for our bedroom, as we found a bit of damp round the airbrick, and the plastic dehumidifiers with crystals just didn’t do anything. This Pro Breeze pulled the water in, and was half full within 5 days. We emptied it, and it’s nicely filling up again. We live in a very damp area, next to a canal. The room never particularly felt damp, but it does feel warmer now. So easy to use….just plug in. So easy to empty…take the plug out and tip the water out (after sliding out the tank!!). Small and very quiet. I bought this to try it as a replacement for the usual de-humidifers that take moisture absorbent tablets or granules, and it works a treat. It takes a lot more moisture out of the air than the other types. Because of its size, it only covers a small to medium area, so I’ll probably buy a second one for another part of the house. I’ll save the cost by not having to buy new moisture absorbent refills.

I wanted this to deal with damp issues in a built in wardrobe and did not want to have to keep paying for disposable versions. Initially I left it running with the wardrobe door open and it did collect some water. However I decided to give it a go with the door closed and it is now brilliantly effective. I have left it running continuously and it collects a significant amount of water and the smell has gone. It is very easy to use (plug in and go) and easy to empty (pull out collection reservoir and empty water through removable plug). With the door closed I have not noticed the noise from the fan even overnight and size wise it is perfect to fit into a wardrobe.

We have three floors and it was going to cost way too much to have one of the bigger dehumidifiers in each of our rooms. I saw the pro breeze on Amazon and to be honest was a little sceptical that something this small would work. Well how wrong i was, this little machine is amazing. The first time i put it on for the day and when i got home it was half full. It has transformed the rooms we put it in. Well, actually I am not sure I am able to give a worthwhile review yet. I need to try it out when it gets really cold and I have the central heating on and the windows run condensation onto the sills. I have been using them since they arrived and they appear to be exactly what I need ….but the bet test will be in a week or two when it gets frosty.
If they do the job, then I will be very pleased indeed.
Now I am using the Pro Breeze Dehumidifier in conditions which would normally create high level of condensation on the windows. Immediately my problem is solved. Clear windows and no water running down onto the sills. It is amazing how much water is extracted from the atmosphere by such a small, simple and easily portable unit. Thank you. Jules

It is easy to swap out the water tray when it is full and then carries on afterwards without any issues.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLove it! Been buy the 1 disposable dehumidifiers since last year. I go through 5 or 6 a month! They take a few weeks before water starts to collect in the bottom of them but they did keep mould away from my walls.

I bought this as the reviews seemed good and have to say it’s AMAZING! It is over half filled every two days in the room where I have it. And I also move it to the kitchen now when I’m cooking. It does not even register on my electricity monitor which says it’s using less than a penny per hour. I worked it out to be about 30p per week if you have it on 24/7 🙂

If you have any small damp rooms, I would highly recommend this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis gadget is great. We had a real condensation problem, from September through to March, every morning, every window would have condensation and if it wasn’t mopped up, eventually mildew would start to grow. With this running quietly in the back ground it sucks all the moisture out the air and keeps our windows dry and mildew free.

The water storage drawer is easy to remove and empty and only needs emptying every 2 weeks.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersCompact and sturdy design but still looks good. Excellent price too. Fitted perfectly into the little space that needed de-humidifying! Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend.

    Addition to first review!
A little while later we bought one for our grandson’s bedroom where there were problems of condensation because of the cold outer walls. Worked, as we expected, extremely well in conjunction with more fresh air in his room!!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI chose this product for it’s size as it needed to sit on a shelf in the pantry and it is coping very well I leave it on 24/7 and empty it every other day it is extremely quite and also lets me know when it is full by switching off I would thoroughly recommend it for any smaller area i.e. Bathroom,Loo etc.

It is smaller than I expected – but it performs beautifully (even in a room that’s a bit large for it – I guess it’s effectiveness is a bit affected by air current though). It’s not silent, but it’s not loud – about the same as an office computer switched on beside you. I’m a fairly light sleeper – if there’s some kind of annoying noise – I can’t fall asleep (even the fuse box down the hall), so I was worried about being able to leave it on 24/7 in the bedroom. To my pleasant surprise, I’ve had no trouble sleeping with this in the room. Probably because the operational noise is not high-pitched, so you don’t pay attention/notice it after a while – kind of just background noise.

In terms of moisture extraction – it does the job, extracts about as much as advertised in the time period – I found that it’s most effective if it’s facing the center of the room – so it has better access to air intake. I could see the difference on the windows in the morning next day.

If it lasts with continuous operation 24/7 – I’ll continue to be a happy customer. The 20 watts power draw is not great – but not bad either – about the same as a modern wifi-router, give or take a few watts. Let’s face it though, it’s not magic and for the task at hand – not bad at all.

After reading the reviews, I bought this unit to see if I could dry out heavy condensation on walls in 2 medium size bedrooms.
Heavy furniture against outside walls wasn’t allowing air to circulate and the walls were soaked at the back of the furniture and mould and mildew were starting. This dehumidifier has worked really well, the real advantage is that it’s compact enough to get into awkward places, also easy to empty. It doesn’t make a lot of noise, however I’m a light sleeper and wouldn’t be able to sleep with it in the room, I guess some people would be ok with it though, it just sounds like low air-con. I plug this into one bedroom during the day, and the other during the night. I moved the furniture away from the walls and this unit has really helped with drying out, at first use it obviously gathers more water, however 10 days on it’s still gathering water and I’ll keep using it to prevent any recurrence. I think for a larger room you may need the bigger unit. I’ve never used a dehumidifier before so can’t make a general comparison, however, I recommend this item.

I’ve had it now for 3 weeks or so and so far so good. I have to remedy the container around once a week as it’s usually full after a week of constant use in the kitchen. I feel good knowing it’s taking all that moisture out of the air as our kitchen tends to get damp due our crap extractor fan so everything gets a bit damp such as salt and powders which start sticking etc. The unit is much smaller than I thought it would be so it’s pretty discreet and can easily be hidden behind something or on top of a cabinet without it being seen. It does have a soft sound though so it’s definitely not silent but not loud by any stretch of the imagination either.

Compact but effective. Running this for a couple of hours makes a noticeable difference in a room with a lot of condensation. Easy to move where it is needed and excellent value. Very pleased.

Edit – Feb 2020. Has slowly become less effective over the last few months and is not really doing much now. So we have purchased another of this model because we like it and it does just what we need. I don’t think the first one is faulty or has any defect. We have made a great deal of use of it and, although we do clean it as much as possible, it seems that the first one has simply become clogged with dust and detritus.

The new one is working well. Quiet and does reduce condensation and dampness just as well as the previous one did.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read many reviews on various dehumidifiers and as over 1 000 had purchased this and given good reviews purchased this.
Using in an attic room with Velox windows, the room is +_ 3m x 3.5m
Prior to the humidifier the condensation on the windows was bad, very bad.
Messed up the wooded frames and had to replace. That was after sanding and varnishing twice.
New Velox windows are better than the previous, however there is still condensation.
Live in the cantral belt of Scotland so to be expected in winter, unless I stop breathing.
The Pro Breeze 500 has done a wonderful job, leave it running and as low running cost is a bonus.
As it runs with a fan it is obviously not totally silent but i do not notice it.
    I would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter battling with bad condensation last year i thought i would give a dehumidifier a go and im so glad i did. Bought this one after reading the reviews and have to say i am delighted with the results. I bought one for my smaller bedroom which was constantly running with water no matter how many times i cleaned the window and within hours of plugging in this unit the window started clearing, and now after a few weeks of it being used i have not had to clean my window once!! I was so pleased i ordered another one for my bedroom which is larger and the results are good. Through the day my bedroom window is dry but once we go to bed we wake up in the morning and half the window is slightly steamed up, but after we leave the bedroom the little unit does its job and clears it again. Not sure if its us that causes the condensation when we are asleep? The amount of water these units collects is unbelievable, never thought there was that much water about in the air, now know why we had some damp problems around our windows!! We do keep these units running 24/7 and empty them about every 3 days. Can sleep with them on no problem, doesnt interfere at all due to the quiet motor. Would recommend these to anybody with smaller areas to dry..

we were suffering with really bad condensation in our conservatory.it was so bad that the vertical blinds had mould on them as did the conservatory roof .The windows would be running with water every morning,i had never bought a de-humidifer before so was at a loss as to which one to buy as there are so many out there, however after seeing this one and i was a bit dubious as to whether it work with it being a mini de-humidifier, i read all the reviews and most of them seemed positive so i thought for the price if it didnt work then at least i wouldnt have spent a fortune on it.it arrived on the saturday so i plugged it in and hoped for the best. sunday morning the conservatory was as dry as a bone no condensation at all. i was so impressed that the next day i ordered another one for my landing as im having problems with mould on the bathroom ceiling and in one of the fitted wardrobes. It is now wednesday and the one in the conservatory is nearly full and the one on the landing has about 1/2 inch of water in it.I would so recommend this de-humidifier to anybody who has a condensation problem and i only wish i had bought them sooner.

I bought this when I discovered some black mould on a bedroom wall that had just appeared randomly after years of having no issues. After cleaning it off properly I wanted to ensure it didn’t return so found this item and I am really pleased with it. It’s nice and compact… about the size of a small kettle. I keep it on my bedside table and my bedroom is fairly big. It has already collected a fair bit of moisture after just a week of use. I let it run through the day and switch it off at night. The only gripe is have is when emptying it, I haven’t quite worked out if there’s an easier way other than shaking it so the water sprinkles out of the small hole in the reservoir. This isn’t a big problem, it extracts moisture from the air and it’s ideal for any room where you want something quietly working away in the background. I can’t say for sure yet whether it has solved my condensation mould problem but so far all is good!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy bedroom gets fairly damp as there isn’t much ventilation so I thought this product would help given its good reviews to date.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the product is really tiny, so it’s nice and easy to fit into any sized space. It makes a constant noise, just like a small fan does. I find it okay to get to sleep with it turned on. It’s certainly not loud enough to wake you up, so if you’re worried about the noise, you could try using it with a timer, which costs about 10 on Amazon, then you can have it turn off automatically at the time you go to sleep.

So far I have been collecting at least 80 ml a day which seems to be a reasonable amount. The condensation on my windows has reduced but I still get at least 50% as much condensation as before. The product spec says it can remove 250ml a day which seems a bit ambitious given I am getting about 1/3 of that yet the room is clearly still rather humid.

The water container easily slides out and has a hole in the top to pour water away. Some other reviewers have had difficulty opening the container but you don’t really need to ever open it for normal use.

I was originally going to give this product a 3 star rating due to it removing less moisture than expected. However I have to respect that it is far cheaper than competitor products so I’ve given it 4 stars as it does provide good value for money. If you buy this product you can definitely expect a drop in humidity but do keep in mind that this is a budget product and probably isn’t going to be as effective as some of the more expensive options. For a smaller space though I think it would be ideal.
