I bought 2 in November 2023. It’s now June 2024 and they have both died. I gave one the benefit of the doubt, as I understand faults happen, but for the 2nd one to go within weeks of the first is suspicious. Contacted Pro Breeze via their website and within Days, 2 new units being sent out, Suspect a faulty batch as there were no quibbles about replacement. Fantastic customer service.

For such a little dehumidifier it does a really good job! I had a damp issue and within a week this had sorted it out! Doesn’t make much noise, I do have to empty it most days but I don’t mind if it’s doing such a good job!

We have this in our cottage kitchen which has a very cold stone wall. The unit helps reduce the condensation building up on this wall and windows. We just switch it on before we start cooking and then leyt it run on for a few hours after. Usage doesn’t register on the smart meter display.

A smart looking item that performs reasonably well for its size, although the moisture removal rate is lower than advertised. Having said that, the mould that was previously a problem has not reappeared.

Having replaced a non electric dehumidifier with this electric one the difference in how much moisture it collects is certainly very noticeable and even with the small cost of running it I think it should work out to be cheaper considering the cost of replacement rings for the non electric type.
I personally find it to be very quiet in operation and being used in a bedroom it does not interfere with my sleep. Easy to empty and replace the small water reservoir, I wish I had bought one a long time ago.

Small but does what it is needed to do. Not used often but when it has been used for a day the container has at least a 5th of it filled up.

I loved this product it was great in my window seal and done a great job at collecting the condensation. I am at a loss as to why it has suddenly stopped working though. I cleaned it out and pligged it in and it just doesn’t start at all, treid different pligs in the house but still nothing. Can anyone suggest why this may have happened?
    Thank you in advance

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought on 29 Nov 2023 and it stopped working on 3 Feb 2024. I have an older dehumidifier which I bought in Dec 2018 and it’s still going. Disappointed at rhe product and there doesn’t seem to be any warranty for it on the amazon page. It’s a shame because I could sleep with it on and it collected a lot of moisture from my room.

UPDATE a few days after my initial review. The seller contacted me the day after with a solution. So although I was unlucky with product, because sometimes it happens, there was a quick solution provided.

This does collect a good amount of water, however it doesn’t fully stop the condensation. It has a slight noise to it but I quite like it, almost like white noise! It definitely helps though

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe bought this two years ago when living in an apartment with damp issues and it managed to keep the moisture at bay. However since moving I’ve realised how really handy it is to have this. It’s small ,quiet, and really effective. I pop it in a room if the windows are misting over and it sorts that issue out. I also use it with my laundry in winter and it’s helped keep the clothes from getting musty as they now dry within 24 hrs

Got this for my hallway, as we had black mould on the walls. Did collect a lots of water but wasn’t powerful enough for this area. I then put it in my conservatory and it does a really good job of collecting the moisture in the air. You can hardly hear it when it is on.

What an efficient and brilliant piece of kit, it is extremely quiet and really does pull the moisture from the room. I have emptied it several times, it sits nicely on a shelf in our porch. Our house does not show signs of damp anyway but we decided because the porch gets very cold in the winter that this would work well and it does.

For a compact dehumidifier you’d be amazed at the amount of water it takes out of the atmosphere.
I use it in my caravan and have it on all the time I’m there, it’s nowhere’s near as effective as the larger dehumidifiers but you can’t expect it to be. I do have to empty it after a day or so, it will take 500ml of water out of the air.
It is however, very quiet, you soon forget it’s on when you go to bed.

It’s very silent, traps a lot of humidity.
I leave it on during the day and it’s half full by the end of the day. Great investment for small rooms/appartments

Having had a larger Probreeze in the past I know this is a good dehumidifier. I was still shocked to see how small it was when it arrived but then I didn’t check the dimensions before buying. It’s still a great unit and goes the job admirably

Pro Breeze Dehumidifier 500ml Compact and Portable Mini Air Dehumidifier:
    – Fits nicely into the airing cupboard to help dry clothes
    – works well collecting water and easy to empty and very quiet

    – could be cheaper for what it is
    – not as powerful as I imagined so will be upgrading to a larger model in due time

4.0 out of 5 stars Its very small!

I brought this for my sons bedroom which is north facing and cold as a result. We can leave this running overnight as the noise is little more than a background hum and it collects a surprising amount of water in doing so.

    Arrived in box.
    Works.
    Easy instructions.

It seems to be working slowly.

It is tiny. I bought it as it was cheap but its fine for a wardrobe. Anything bigger it won’t manage. My own mistake. My humidity levels in my home are 73%. I will update this if over the next month it lowers.

The machine is abstracting water as I write this.

It is too small for what I need. My own fault for not checking dimensions.

If it succeeds its task I will upgrade to a 5 star.

Really easy to use and empty. We use it in our spare room where we dry our clothes on airers and have found they dry in about half the time now. Has also been used in the bedroom as we occasionally get mould in the winter but after cleaning it and using this for a few weeks it hasn’t gone back, will definitely use seasonally for this too

You can definitely hear it but aside from that zero downsides. Was getting high levels of humidity of about 80% but it reduced the level to 50% and now I just have to pop it on when drying laundry to maintai

Bought this as I had a mould issue in a corner of a bedroom. Have run this now 24/7 for around 2 years and it does its job effectively. I was unsure initially but it definitely keeps the moisture levels in that room down, so much so that a periodic removal of mould spores in one problematic corner is no longer necessary. I would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOur house is old so I picked up this dehumidifier in mid-December to fight the condensation build up in my small bedroom. It worked well and would fill up every 2-3 days.

However, it stopped working around January 30th. I originally thought it had turned off as the condensation had dropped but soon realised it was bricked.

As the Amazon guarantee had expired I contacted Pro Breeze via their website and received a prompt response. I sent them a couple images of the item not working and my Amazon order code, they apologised and provided a full refund.

I’d like to think this was just a dud and while Pro Breeze should have better quality control I must admit their customer service was outstanding.

In short, it’s up to you if you want to buy this dehumidifier. The item functions well until it doesn’t, I wouldn’t buy this again but considering the low price point (to buy and run) and good aftercare it’s worth the gamble for someone without the cash to afford double glazing or a better dehumidifier.

This has been ideal for use in a spare bedroom. It is effective at removing excess moisture but is a little too noisy to leave on, if you were trying to sleep!

I got this for my wardrobe, and it’s a very handy size to sit discreetly at the back of it. It worked fine though I did note that our smart meter was going round. I wouldn’t leave this switched on for more than 6 hours at a time.

  33. KCUArafqmmxp says:

We got this to dry out a small space where we have patio doors and the plaster is always damp. Soaks up moisture well and isn’t too noisy or obvious.

As a bonus, we’ve been hanging our washing nearby and it’s been drying out very quickly, we’ve barely needed to use the tumble dryer!

    – To update the unit lasted less than 4 months before breaking down. I contacted the manufacturer via Amazon and they issued a refund once I shared some details with them. They were very swift, polite and professional too. Would happily deal with them again.

I use it for a motorhome. 6.5 long by 2 meter high. Less all furnitures, table, etc. is no more than 15 mts 2. The machine works just enough and I need to use for few days to see results. So, is not magical but in few days works.

I have this in a bedroom window sill. Time will tell how efficient it is at keeping condensation down, but to test, I put it in the bathroom after a shower, and for such a small, unit, it did better than expected. It cleared around 8 tablespoons of water in an hour.

If your a light sleeper, then this is probably not for you, but I’ve put mine on a timer for overnight. Not whisper quiet as advertised

If you have a small space, then this will be ideal. Anything larger would mean you need a bigger machine.

    Ideal,for small,spaces

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersBut it helps, I can’t say more as the wife’s expectations after seeing one much bigger has showed why this is a small one, absolutely perfect for small area’s, it’s so small you’d have no problem finding somewhere to put it, and being so small it can be moved effortlessly between rooms, and the running cost shown is a no brainer assuming it’s correct (I’m not saying it isn’t, I just haven’t checked), and there is no question it has helped.

I was aiming to get it’s slightly bigger version but it wasn’t available, so got this based on reviews, I would say that the bigger one would definitely make a bigger difference, and if time wasn’t an issue I would have waited for it to be in again, the one the wife saw was emptying nearly a bucket of water a day, where this is not much more than an eggcup each time we have used it to help drying clothes as we have a 1200 spin machine so leaves it pretty wet, but we have not had any condensation issues on the windows since using it, which was a big issue drying clothes, the room is 13′ Sq. basically so you have an idea on what it can do.

We also put it on the landing when having a shower, normally the windows, tiles and mirrors would be streaming in water, and that’s with a 241 m/hr 6″ fan fitted and running, but because we couldn’t put it in the bathroom, we put it on the landing by the door, so while the door was closed there was condensation, but not as bad, but when we finished we left the door open, we would also of opened the windows a bit, but we left them closed to get an idea of how good this works, and it cleared the condensation very well, when we went up the windows etc were completely dry.

Noise wise it’s not as quiet as I would have hoped given the advertising, and if your a light sleeper I would say some may find it annoying, but noise is relative to the individual, anyone who lives by a main road will get accustomed to the traffic, and would soon block it out, probably the same deal with this, is it worth getting, Yes I would say, but if your after something more powerful then get it’s bigger brother, but as small as this is (measurements are not easy to see in real terms), it definitely helps with normal type usage and properties, if damp etc is a big problem for you definitely get the bigger brother as it can catch much more, but it helps without a doubt.

Well it looks bigger than it actually is when you see a picture of it, that been said it’s fairly quiet and for its size takes a fair bit of moisture out of the room you put it in, but if you have a big room I’d go for the next size. But all in all it does what it says on the box

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersCurrently living in a uni house, which means a lack of heating due to energy bills. I noticed my bedding would feel damp at night which made sleeping really unpleasant. This has been the best thing I’ve bought in ages! I run it constantly and our bill hasn’t increased at all, if by much only a few a month. It has stopped my clothes and bedding feeling damp and does remove condensation from my window slowly – I still wipe off in the morning but it stops any coming back throughout the day. I do have a small bedroom so perhaps for larger rooms maybe go with this brand but a larger model! The noise isn’t as quiet as it said but you get used to it and I find it relatively relaxing now. Perfect if you’re not wanting to spend too much money too and it does remove lots of water. Easy to use and set up.

Day 1 – left on condensation soaked windowsill. Next day, couple of tablespoons full in the collection tray, windows less condensed. I’m a happy camper 😀 However, after a week it still didn’t fully get rid of the wet windows. I had to open windows. Plus a temperature change helped. I bought the most expensive one thinking I could plug and leave it to work. Will buy another less expensive one.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe unit is much smaller than I expected, less than a foot high. It does seem to work fairly well though but I don’t think it would be much use for anything except a cupboard. I have a built in cupboard on a north facing wall which gets very damp, with mildew/mould etc, even with the door left open, so this is a last ditch attempt to keep the cupboard in use. So far it has drawn a lot more water than the chemical damp-trap I had in there, so fingers crossed. It does make a noise while in operation, but only a slight hum in the background, and when it is in the cupboard with the door closed I can’t hear it at all. Generally pleased but only time will tell if it stops the mould coming back.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIt works quick & does the job its supposed to, however it doesn’t get 5 stars from me as it only comes in a regular box not an amazon box which means it could get damaged on arrival. In my thoughts though it’s really good as it will get rid of the condenstation on your windows but also get rid of the mostuire in the air in the room you leave it in.

I would recommend buying this item if you have a lot of mostiure in a room, sadly its not as quiet as I thought it would be as I have two other ones from Argos which are less loud than this one.
