The PureMate PM-510 air cleaning system has its efficient 5-stage filtering system. It’s quiet, easy to use and maintain with its unique 5-Stage filtering ability, it can cover a wide range of air pollutants.
The first part of the 5-in-1 system is the pre-filter which uses activated carbon to trap larger particles found indoors such as dust, lint and hair. Activated charcoal is very porous, and its uneven surface is great for trapping larger pollutants, but there is another benefit to it as well. A carbon layer efficiently eliminates odours stemming from household pets, cooking and tobacco smoke. During the second stage, the air is filtered through a True HEPA filter. True HEPA filters have to meet strict standards which involve being able to collect 99.97% of airborne particles as tiny as 0.3 microns in diameter. For instance, stuff like pet dander, dust mites, mould spores and pollen all fall into this category.
The third and fourth stage involves air filtration using UV-C light. This technology works to help kill airborne viruses, bacteria, mould spores, and with titanium dioxide (TIO2), decomposes odour molecules caused by smoking, cooking and pets.
And finally the last stage the unit releases negative ions which enhances the mood, keeping you alert and active. It eliminate most tiny particles suspended in indoors air. In addition, the air will actually smell fresher because of the Ioniser.
The PureMate PM 510 is suitable for rooms up to 400 square feet of in size which makes it perfect for most bedrooms. It stands 22-inches tall. The unit’s CADR (Clear Air Delivery Rate) is 110+ which effectively means it’s able to deliver 110 cubic feet of clean air per minute with 5 changes of air per hour.
The PM 510 has 5 fan speed settings available. When set on low, the unit is impressively quiet at 20 dB (A). In fact most people won’t be able to tell its working if it weren’t for the large blue LED, and the cleaner doesn’t get much louder when the fan speed is set to medium.

Great purifier. It has reduced my allergy symptoms significantly. It has 5 “speed” levels. I keep mine at level 3 and able to have a sound sleep. Level 5 is a bit noisy. Highly recommend for allergy sufferers

I am so impressed with this air purifier! As a chronic asthmatic with so many annoying allergies which are at the absolute worst in springtime, I was suffering terribly until I bought this air purifier which was recommended to me by my brother in law. My asthma was out of control, my eyes were red and constantly itchy, I was coughing and sneezing and my brother in law mentioned that he had bought this machine to help with his hayfever. He recommended it so highly that I ordered one straight away and got it ordered express delivery. Within 24 hours i didn’t need to nebulise and the itchy eyes stopped. Then the coughing stopped. I can’t recommend it highly enough! I use it every day. And it’s good to know that the filters can be bought separately online too.

This seems to be a well made machine with s good through put of air. A little noisy on full power but unobtrusive at other setting. I am happy with the value and effective at cleaning the air.
This works really well you can put just fan on too if room too hot ! Help with my allergy there is a blue light which goes off when fan alone on ! I had this in my bedroom but the light was bright so I got a smaller one for my bedroom and this one is in our living room where the dogs are and I’ve noticed my mini pin does not rub her eyes since we had this as she as allergy problem too so I’m very happy with this ! It is load when on 5 the highest level but I only have it on 2 in evening
However first impressions: It is indeed extremely quiet on the lower settings which is great. Aesthetically looks better in person than in the pictures I think, very sleek with a very nice easy to use display on it too.
Have to give them credit for the ease of set up as well, literally was plug and go no need to fiddle around with the filters or anything like that, and the buttons for modes are intuitive.
Thus far all is good.
My room is quite small, so there was a noticeable difference in air quality very quickly, after I’d set it up I went out for a lecture(so about an hour and a half), leaving it running. Upon returning there was an immediate noticeable improvement in air quality.
This is a really a great air filter that really works, the room is so fresh, and hay fever symptoms are gone, no waking with streaming eye’s and blocked nose, very pleased.
There are 5 speed settings, another button for Ioniser/UV, another button for Timer and then a ON/OFF button.
The unit itself looks really nice and well built. The discreet blue light comes on when UV is activated.

Definitely a must for a bedroom or lounge to make it more comfortable. I don’t suffer from allergies but I took it to my parents house to use when we had a cat allergy sufferer staying. Used it for a day beforehand in the bedroom she was using and in the lounge when she was downstairs and she only had a mild reaction – we did put the cat outside for the duration but I would still recommend it for part of a solution in that situation. About to buy 2 more. One for mum and another for me. Filters are easy to change. I do mine every 6 months or so.

I have suffered very bad sinus problems and even had surgery. Allergic to everything, including my cat, which i didn’t want to get rid of. The headaches (around 4 a week) were like migraines and would last around 6 hours! At first i didn’t notice any difference and thought i had wasted my money! It took about 2 months for me to really get the benefit. The filter is chock a block with dander and muck that i would have been breathing in. I don’t need to use my inhalers anymore and just came back from having an MRI and no need for another operation. Also Haven’t had a headache since Christmas! Best buy!

The fan seems to be blowing only on one side of the front. Is this normal?
After a few days, the filter was dirty which meant that this must be working.
Some good settings that includes a timer.
You might experience some headache or breathing difficulties in a day if you leave it on to much as I did in a small bedroom.
The Ions get to you as you are not use to the o3 air condition but it really works and for the cost its affordable and a reasonable price. It’s the top air purifier you can buy I wouldn’t advise you to buy the Vax.
Delivery was great quick delivery and this product is very good. Recommended for large to medium rooms. Only use it for small bedroom if necessary but only for a short amount of time like 10 to 30mins no longer than 30mins otherwise you probably have some side effects with your health.
EDIT: Returned to Amazon and had a new one within 2 days (they had a Courier collect the broken one), have been using it since with absolutely no issues. Increasing from 2 to 4 stars.
Today I’ve cleaned the filter for the first time, you can see the pictures, and I’ve included a comparison with a new filter which I bought at the same time.
The dust accumulation on my room has lowered noticeable, it also smells fresher.
This is my first air purifier so I can’t make any comparisons but I’m really happy with it.
The only downside is that it resets the program every time I turn it off, it automatically goes to max power but I want it running at the minimum setting with the UV and ionizer turned on so it requires about 3 to 4 clicks when I turn it on every day.
My bedroom feels like a forest glade after a rain storm. I love it.
I have one kitten, a four year old cat and a very elderly cat who needs access to a tray – so of course they all use it. I have this plugged in near their trays on the lowest setting with ion and uv both on and find it really reduces the odours. When I come home from work my nostrils are not assailed by the scent of triple-cat-pee. Also my dad who has a cat allergy was here all morning the other day and didn’t ask for antihistamines, nor rub his eyes nor wheeze. He even commented than he couldn’t smell he cats!
I have wooden floors and stairs and find that the stairs need washing every other day because the dust in he air is caused to drop to the floor and and walls.
I’ve bought other similar items, some bigger, some smaller, all cheaper. None worked as well as this. I’m really pleased with the item and may buy another for upstairs.
I do not know if the filter reset light comes on after a set number of day or just when the filter is clogged but I’ve had this going continually since September 2016 and today 28th December the filter reset light has come on for the first time.
Very nice machine. Quiet and seems to process a large volume of air. I have chronic allergies to dust so will probably need a few days to tell if it can help extreme dust allergies.
So far so good, although not really sure how to measure the air quality after using it! It is very loud on level 5, but not a problem if using it at night, while asleep. Couldn’t have it on full power during the day though, the noise would be irritating
I purchased this to keep my room clear of vape clouds indoors. It does an excellent job. On level 1 it is near silent and I leave it on all the time I’m vaping. On level 5 it is very loud, but is only needed for a couple of minutes to clear the room if I forget to switch it on. Awesome product. Highly recommended.
great product – tried and tested in various environments and really did make a difference. a little cold though but very good value considering its true hepa. Also fairly quiet. The main thing was that I was out of warranty and they fixed it anyway when it stopped working mysteriously. Hurray! Thank you, Pure mate.
Well packaged. Works a charm. Highest setting loudish but lowest nice and quiet. My two young children have bad allergies and they are the reason I bought this for them. I have even noticed how fresh the air is once in operation. Wish I bought this item sooner.
Bought ten months ago. Used most days for a few hours at a time on a high setting and works well. Is used at home so filter still looks clean. Wife uses it to reduce dust etc in her working area

I was hoping that it would remove a peculiar smell in a spare room, the smell is not exactly unpleasant but it is distinctive and I can’t seem to trace it. The PureMate helps a bit but hasn’t helped eliminate the smell completely.
On a low setting the machine is quite, probably not quite enough for some people but it probably couldn’t be any quieter if it is going to do any good.
It does make the air more breathable.
The only reason it has lost a star is because of the very bright (and totally unnecessary) blue LED that makes it wholly inappropriate for use in a bedroom. Some others have suggested the LED should be covered with masking tape, which I may try later, but it serves no function at all and the manufacturers could have saved themselves a few pennies while making a better product by just leaving it off.
This unit seems to do a great job of keeping down pet odour (I have a cat) and general kitcheny smells. I was struggling with itchy eyes after getting said cat and they do seem to have been better since using this filter. It’s pretty quiet on all but the strongest fan settings and is unobtrusive when watching TV etc. I don’t know how well the virus killer works but we’ll see when flu season rolls around…
An excellent unit. I like the fact that I can switch off the ioniser (I’ve read bad things about the ozone this function generates) whilst still using the UV function and it couldn’t be simpler to setup or operate.
We use ours in the cat’s room where the litter tray resides; let’s just say that he has something of a talent for the malodorous! Remarkably, and somewhat unexpectedly, the unit has conquered this odious challenge; a Hazmat suit is no no longer required in the vicinity of his litter tray and the rest of the house is hence saved from the fall-out.
The unit is virtually silent on low so eminently suitable for use in bedrooms though there are quite a few lights on it and I didn’t see an option to switch them off. The ability to disable or dim the lights would be a good feature to add, along with a ‘boost’ function to switch it to maximum for say a couple of hours (i.e. after the cat has spent a penny) as per our dehumidifier.

An excellent purchase if you want an air purifier that does as it says on the tin. Not exceptionally noisy which is a big plus, cleans the air and leaves it smelling fresh. The unit is a blessing and I am so happy to have bought it. The service was excellent and the delivery was before expected which for me was a major plus. You won’t go wrong with this Puremate.
At first I purchased cheaper clone but noise level was to great, this one on level 1 produces very small amount of noise.
Down side replacement filter could be cheaper.
Having on the lowest setting isn’t that loud and and really works.
Our only issue is that we have to cover the panel at night as there are SO many LED’s and a bright control panel! Remember to switch off the UV setting at night too, else it resembles an evil robot in the night.

The unit itself is whisper-quiet at it’s lowest setting. It performs brilliantly – when used in the bedroom it removes all the pollen; when used in the kitchen it eliminates the odours. Pretty portable as well.

Arrived promptly as described. is very quiet on the low setting which is great when you need it on at bedtime, it looks sleek and not obtrusive. I have only used for a few days for my sons room who suffers from allergies and so far he has noticed how fresh the air is in his room so we’ll see if it helps but so far so good he had a good nights sleep with it on. I would consider getting another one for my lounge if this one proves to be working efficiently over time. You can switch to different functions ie. if you don’t want the uv light to be on or the ioniser off.

the amount of dust is crazy, my room smells better and don`t have to clean it as often.
Down side is the cold air that comes out the front. Silent it isn’t unless you put it on 1 fan is noisy.

One thing that I hope is not placebo is that I seem to be a much better sleeper lately, even if I leave the filter on all night (it’s very silent). I will continue to use it and feel that this product is good value.
