This lawn mower is very easy to use, my concern was initially would the battery last as my garden is quiet large. I made sure that both batteries were fully charged and I didn’t need to change them over. I would say that it is very lightweight, easily manoeuvrable and very quiet. The extended warranty the bosh gives is easily done online. Overall I am very happy with it.

    Excellent battery life

This is one of the cheapest that I could find with a reputable manufacturer. I have a medium sized garden and one battery charge easily copes. If you do have a large garden then it has a second battery that you can swap for the first if it runs out of juice.
Its manoeuvrability is enhanced by the shaping of the handle grips. All in all, a very good purchase.

Totally brilliant. I have a medium sized lawn and this mower is extremely light and cuts brilliantly. It also has a huge collection box so I only have to empty it when Ive finished. The only downsize is I have to tip up mower to insert battery as I am 70+ and I find it difficult to bend down that far and the cover doesnt open up far enough back but its still worth its weight in gold. Starts first time too.

Our petrol mower died and we decided to move to a battery-powered replacement. It’s light, manoeuvrable, does a nice cut. We have just under 1/4 acre and it does it on about 1 3/4 batteries. I’d recommend it to anyone with a small or medium sized lawn.

This mower cuts great, however the front wheel comes off. The wheel is held on by a cap pushed on the end of the wheel rod . First use the wheel came off 3 times. I had to straighten the splines inside the cap. A week later 2nd use it came off again. The cap got lost in the flower bed somewhere. 2 hours trying to find it without success . I emailed with no reply. I rang the customer service department complain they said we are to busy to speak on the phone only option was to email again and await a reply she simply couldn’t care less. Goodbye. Rang 3 days later with same response and couldn’t care less about what I should expect for a big money item. Excuse this is our busy time. Email and wait or return it to Amazon for a refund. Which I did and waiting for pickup. Bosch make good products but don’t expect a quick answer nor any politeness . Ho-hum looking agai

Ignore the reviews saying it doesn’t cut short enough, no mower will give tennis court perfection. This cuts just as Short as all the others mowers I have had.

See the photo, I got 75% of that garden done before battery 1 ran out. Bare in mind it has been raining for a week here, this is the first cut of the year, and this grass was like a swamp so again, just like others mowers, it wouldn’t pick up all the cuttings as it was soaking wet and clogged.

I am happy with the purchase so far and once we get some sun it will be much easier and quicker.

    Ignore negative reviews

I bought this to do the first mow/top up mows around my robot mower, and it’s perfect for the job. The two batteries give me about 30 mins of mowing (which is just right for a quick go round), or I’d say about a tennis court’s worth of lawn – maybe a little more once it’s not hacking winter growth!)

Putting it together wasn’t difficult, just a little awkward, so it lost a star

The battery doesn’t always click in, so if it won’t start mowing, you need to pop it out and put it back in a bit more firmly, and I do find the grips tiring to hold, plus they do look a bit cheap and plasticy – but I wear gloves so I don’t know if they would rub.

The hopper clips on and off very easily, although emptying it through the smallish hole takes shaking unlike my flymo’s hopper.

Hence the 4 stars for easy to use.

I wish the handle would easily fold forward for storage.

The battery charges in about an hour, and has an indicator to see whether it’s charged – although that’s fairly useless as you can’t see it when it’s in the mower, and you could just put it onto the charging unit to see otherwise. In use, the mower goes from 100% to dead in less than a minute, there’s no slow decline in efficiency as it runs out of charge, which I like a lot.

I got it to replace it’s equivalent Bosch wired model and it is just so much easier to use, though the battery compartment can be tricky to open and the battery does not always ‘seat’ in it properly

Fairly easy to assemble, and two batteries and a charger, will be enough power for a large garden.
No cables to worry about like you have with a mains mower, large capacity grass box to collect the lawn clippings.

Liked the design, but the instructions were not clear. Would rather have written guidance, rather than picture guidance for putting it together.

Does a good job of mowing the lawn. Only slight complaint would be that the over centre latches on the handles sometimes come loose.

Great little mower. Works well one our small patch of grass and especially useful as you don’t need an extension cable to do the front. Easy to adjust the height of cut and the battery lasted 20 minutes and was still going at the end.
My only criticism is that the grass box is extremely flimsy and poorly designed and won’t last long in my opinion. Hence only 4 stars overall. Hope you can get replacements.

This is brilliant. I’ve used petrol, battery and corded mowers before and this is by far the best. It is lightweight and so easy to manoeuvre. It was a bit fiddly to put together, but well worth the effort!
My lawn is approx 500 square metres and usually takes 40 minutes to cut. Each battery lasts 20 minutes, so I have two batteries. The offer from Amazon included two, so it was perfect for me.

I have used this Bosch battery-operated mower for a few months now, and it has performed very well. I am useless at DIY but managed nonetheless to assemble the mower in about ten minutes. The parts seem robust, the battery charges quickly and is easy to slot in and out, and I find it can do an average sized lawn (roughly 24 feet by 15 feet) on a single charge. It picks up the cut grass without problems, and is fairly quiet, which is a bonus. It’s a little less happy when going up slopes and it’s not as easy to manoeuvre as a flymo but overall I’m very pleased, especially as there are now no worries about severing the electric cable… because there isn’t one! I now spend a lot less time cutting the lawn and almost enjoy the process (and I have always hated lawn mowing).

If you need a lightweight mower then this is very good. Due to back problems I had difficulty with my petrol mower, with the Bosch I have no troubles (although I do not have a great deal of grass to cut) The battery lasts well, plus this package came with two so one is always charged up. I recommend this if you do not have a great expanse of lawn.

Used this new lawnmower twice now. It is, perhaps, a little too light over less than even ground and the batteries run out quicker than I anticipated. Otherwise it works very well and it is certainly easier to start and handle than my old petrol mower.

Bosch cordless mower has nothing to dislike, its lightweight easy to to use and gives a very good result and after using my motor mower it’s very manoeuvreable. Can’t say anything bad about it.

My husband found it very good. We used corded lawnmower until buying this one and it is so much lighter and convenient compared to corded ones.

Battery have enough charge to cut mid size lawn multiple times. Haven’t got to use second batter my as the first one still going after 3 cuts. Good cut size

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had a Bosch corded lawnmower for 3 years so I already had an idea what to expect, I just wanted to ditch the cord!
I was pleasantly surprised to find the lowest cut setting is as low as I like it, I cut my lawn weekly to suppress weeds and encourage the fine “bowling green” varieties of grass, I had to “botch” the previous model to get such a close cut.
The roller “stripes” the lawn nicely and the supplied batteries last well. By comparison to the mains powered version it is very quiet, during the summer I would be happy to go out and mow the lawn at midnight without fear of waking the neighbours, in fact it is such a joy to use I now mow theirs for them!
The 40L grass box is more than adequate, a fully charged battery often fills 3 of them, to give you an idea of run time.

Bosch mowers have always been very good. This one does the job well enough. I bought it as its predecessor broke down after 6 years of heavy use. This replacement is of similar design but it doesn’t seem to be as robust. Much lighter and thinner plastic. I doubt it will last as long as the previous one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI suffer with Arthritis and mowing the lawn had become an issue, fussing with extension leads , plugs , and electric cables. This lawn mower is so easy to use , obviously no leads but relatively light weight, the large wheels make it easy to manoeuvre , it does a good powerful job of cutting my two lawns ,using only one of the two batteries supplied, that do recharge quickly. My only regret is that I did not buy one ages ago and was employing a Gardener to do a job I now find so easy to accomplish myself . Well Done

This is a great little lightweight cordless mower, the handle assembly lets it down as its quick flimsy and the bolts that hold it together are not great quality like the higher end models but cannot complain for the price I paid.

I bought this as amazon special at 236 gbp or so. IT arrived on time but as we were moving house, took me a while to open up the box. to my dismay, the mower was missing 2 back wheels and the roller. After a quick online chat with amazon, they agreed to send me a replacement after collecting the old one. This time though, I spotted the note saying that the wheels were sandwiched between the the 2 grass collector parts!! so maybe I should not have had to send the mower back. however, it was still missing the roller. As for cutting, i opted for the 2 battery option. It managed my lawn and when I helped out my neighbour, it cut out necessitating the 2nd battery. after that, I had enough juice to do the front of the 2 houses and enough left for the hedge (i also bout a 36v hedger). So, given that battery performance drops over time, I am glad I went for teh 2 battery option as I think I would be cutting it close with only one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWell designed and made – for example, it is correctly balanced so that when picked up by the carrying handle, it stays level although it is on the heavy side to lift and carry around. I can manage it OK but less strong or smaller people might struggle. Of course, if you can just wheel it into a garage or shed, this isn’t an issue.

Very much easier and quicker than my corded hover-mower – I can cut the same area of lawn in half the time with less effort. However, I should have bought a bigger one. The suggested performance is very optimistic:

    1. I’m sure the 40 lt grass bin is 40 lt but it doesn’t pack the grass down as much as my corded hover-mower’s 23 lt bin so I end up making only about as many trips to the compost heap to dump grass cuttings.

    2. It may achieve the suggested cutting area if you are taking 2 mm off a bowling green but with my lawn with lots of curves and corners, a few small bumps and taking off around 15 mm, a 2 Ah battery lasts around 120 m. With 2 x 2Ah batteries, I can get the whole of the back grass area done, around 200 m.

I guess if I had bought a model with a 4 Ah battery, I could mow the whole of my back lawn but probably wouldn’t be able to also do the front without changing or charging batteries. A 6 Ah battery would probably allow me to do the lot without changing/charging but the 6 Ah are around twice the price of the 2 Ah batteries.

    3. Note, the charger/batteries won’t charge if the battery is hot, as it is when you remove it from the mower. So, if you exchange batteries part way through mowing and put the first battery in the charger, the electronic control system prevents charging for 10 minutes or so until the battery has cooled. If you are cutting a larger area, you may find you need 3 x 2 Ah batteries – one operating, one cooling and one charging. And, of course, larger capacity batteries take longer to fully charge as well as being more expensive.

Early days but has cut efficiently and is light and easy to handle.
The charging so far has been quick .
For our small area of grass it appears to be the answer and a really good replacement to the older and much heavier petrol machine. The grass box is not large so it is a question of becoming used to more frequent emptying.

+does a better job of actually mowing the lawn than my old corded hover mower (with which I mowed through the cable, hence getting a battery job this time 🙂 )
+stores reasonably flat hooked up on my garage wall
    +easy to adjust mow height
+uses the same battery as my Bosch strimmer
+battery charge more than enough to do both my modest size lawns, and swap it to the strimmer and to the edges too.
    -grass basket seems very flimsy
-grass basket hangs a long way out the back of the machine
-poor assembly instructions, but you get there in the end.
