Had a 34R rotak, this is perfect to replace. i have a 200m2 rear garden + 100m2 front. Currently using up 2 bar of one battery, still have a second one as a back-up. Absolutely amazing considering I was worried battery life would be a problem.
One detail – blade profile has changed, it seems to struggle a bit with “vacuuming” the grass when doing thick cuts compared to its corded relative.
Never had problems with Bosch lawnmowers, so very pleased and cordless feature is grea

Mower arrived yesterday – promptly as promised. The package had previously been opened – it was sealed in transparent sticky tape – Bosch’s security tape was missing. This made me suspicious and accounts for mu first posting. However all the parts were present and close inspection showed no sign of previous use. Assembly was mainly straightforward though clearer guidance would have made it perfect. Once I had established that the grey tab above the handle was the battery isolator switch I started up and completed 115 square yards of cutting before the first battery ran out. The cut is longer than my previous machine – a Kennington cylinder mower – which I am replacing because it was bought for a much bigger garden with 4 lawns and it was getting to be too heavy to manoeuvre round my smaller garden. Although I will miss the roller version stripes and the bowling green shaved grass I am happy that the grass which was cut very evenly and without occasional ‘scalping, will be of benefit to the lawn as the grass will grow thicker, won’t suffer the damage of the dry summers here in Norfolk and will be much more likely to keep weeds at bay. An excellent piece of equipment. Am charging my first battery and will report back if there are any problems with that or if anything goes wrong after several usages.

The lawnmower is easy to use and packs a lot of power for a battery powered. My only concern was the main box was very damaged and had been taped up with brown tape, the box was also torn at edges. It didn’t come inside another box!

Easy to use and the two batteries are more than adequate for a small lawn. It doesn’t have a roller, which wasn’t made clear in the Amazon listing. Grass box is a good size. Handle a bit too long for tight turns near walls & shrubs.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWorks very well and battery lasts plenty of time too, assembling the handles I found a little fiddly where they meet the mower body, the grass box molding seems rather poor at the end where the grass enters, the top and bottom parts don’t line up and hang apart a bit as if they need another clip to hold them
together, probably the one poor item of this package . I used cable ties to pull the plastic parts together which more or less sorted things out, but couldn’t solve one side at the front being slightly longer than the underneath part causing a small gap for grass cuttings to still escape. Not good quality control but a minor point with an otherwise excellent mower
If you register purchase with Bosch the guarantee is extended to 3 years at no extra cost. So good to be away from trailing electric cables and the risk of cutting one

Replaced my old Bosch cordless mower. In some ways it is better eg cutting width and ability to buy more batteries. It makes quick work of mowing a medium size lawn. But the battery fitting is awkward and it leaves more cutting behind.

It really is lightweight. Had a pull me petrol mower that rusted out after 25years and was worried it would be hard work. Not a problem. Just remember to have both batteries charged before you start a 400sq meter lawn and you’ll be fine.

The lawnmower arrived, well boxed, not heavy, and easy to assemble with the couple of things you need to do… battery’s last 25/30 minutes, the results after cutting the lawn was amazing, great finish and left no mess, this replaced an old Flymo which was good, but happy with this upgrade and ease of use being cordless, also cuts close to the edges accurately 10/10 overall…

Simple to operate & gets the job done quickly.Lightweight & easy to manoeuvre.
The spare battery provided gives you extra mowing time.No problems dealing with cables/extension leads
or petrol engines & starting etc.
Only negative is the very poor instruction booklet – It took us a while & a lot of stress to get it assembled .

I replaced my heavy petrol mower for this as I was sick of carrying it from the shed up some steps. It’s lightweight and the battery lasts long enough to do my small front, and medium sized read garden. (There are 2 batteries). Great mower, would be ok for large gardens (especially in longer grass) but I suspect you would use up both batteries. They do charge in Just over an hour though so not a deal breaker for most people

The mower was fairly easy to assemble but take care on the starting procedure with the plastic secure key.
Apart from that the mower is easy and light to handle with no chance of splitting cables as with electrical
mowers. Being a pensioner with a fair sized garden this is the ideal tool.

I am pretty pleased with this, my very first, cordless lawnmower. The battery lasts for about half an hour on full charge and the lawnmower itself is very easily portable – it can be carried with one hand when the handle is folded in on itself. There is a good video review which any buyer should watch to see all its good points and how to put it together which isn’t as difficult as some would have you think.

It doesn’t really like wet grass (it clogs up the system/blades) and I’m not 100% happy with the collection of the grass – it doesn’t really throw it out to the basket efficiently enough – hence this clogs up the workings also. What this usually means is that your motor keeps stopping and it is easy for the battery to get overheated if you don’t watch out.

It does do a really nice job cutting the grass though and as long as you don’t try and cut too long grass on too small a setting (it can cut nice and close if necessary) and you give it a little breather every now and again, then it should give you good service.

I hated corded lawnmowers so bought a petrol driven mower, it was great no cables to trip over but it was noisy needed servicing and of course the pollution. This battery mower is so easy to use. It comes with two batteries and a charger, one battery cuts my grass more than twice on one charge, its the best ever mower.

Collection box is a tad small, so quite a bit of emptying to do.
Whole assembly is more ‘plasticky’ that you might imagine.

One star deducted because the packaging was split open with some of the accessories sticking through the cardboard….and suspicious that may have been previously purchased/opened as previous Bosch items have had bagged instructions …. otherwise good price, and although smaller than our current Rotak, easier to use. Being able to use previous larger batteries a bonus !

Love that it has no leads.
It’s light and easy to manoeuvre.
Downside is cutting through longer grass it struggles, you need to keep your grass short for it to work efficiently.
All in all very happy until today when after 2 months of use the battery won’t come out of the unit. Hopefully I can get some help in trying to get it out.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this model which comes with two batteries as I felt I may need to have a second one as I have two (albeit small) lawns. I soon discovered that the one battery proved more than enough! The mower is very light and manoeuvrable, and with no trailing cable or petrol fumes mowing is a pleasure. If you want to cut your grass down to a few millimetres you may find this is not for you, but the cut length is fine for me. I can whizz around the garden in less than half the time I used to with the petrol mower, so a more frequent cut is good for the lawn and good exercise for me!

I’ve had it about 3 months, it cuts well and up to the edges, the ergonomics of it are good keeping you in an upright position which is good for my back. It’s sturdy enough and easy to carry. The two faults are that when you remove the grass box grass falls back onto the lawn, not a lot but it’s annoying, secondly it only has three settings for the grass height, another one would have made it much better. Overall I’m pleased with it, the battery is easy to put in and take out. I only have a small lawn approx 30 sq mtrs. It’s quick to charge. I’ve always had the small electric flymo’s with grass box so the Bosch Rotak 32Li is a pleasant change, especially on my old body, not the cheapest but having studied all the reviews I decided to go for it. A lot of my neighbours have the same mower but in them electric version, most of them told me the Bosch Rotaks are reliable so here’s hoping the cordless version carries that on.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersWe’ve had a Bosch cordless mower for years but it stopped working the other day. We were surprised how expensive a new one would be. Shows how long we’ve had ours.

So my husband started looking at ones without batteries since we already had them. He found one he was going to order. The cutting width was smaller (32cm as opposed to our previous 34cm). I quickly checked Amazon and found this one was deal of the day. While it was more expensive than the one he’d found it gave us a 37cm cutting width plus two batteries.

He’s very happy with our purchase. It works really well and the extra battery is a plus.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAfter much research into cordless mowers, I decided to go for this Bosch mower. As others have said, it is not as easy to assemble as it could be. However, you only have to assemble it once. I have a Bosch verticutter which is very lightweight, but amazingly powerful. This mower feels even more lightweight and not very sturdy. That is until you use it. The cut is brilliant, and it picks up leaves with ease. Mine has a rear roller which leaves nice stripes. It is extremely easy to push and will cut longish grass up to about 6 inches tall, maybe a bit longer. I can pick the mower up by it’s handle with one arm. My lawns total 170 m2 in area and it will easily cut them on one charge of a 2.0 ah battery and if I had more grass the batteries are quite easy to swap over.

Pros: Lightweight, Good cut, batteries charge quickly

Negs: It could be easier to assemble. I wonder about the longevity (However it is 40% of the Petrol mower it’s replaced)

I bought this mower to replace my petrol mower as I have a small garden and an allotment and the petrol mower suits neither. I needed something lightweight and easily transportable in the boot of my car. I didn’t want to faff around with a cable and there are no power points at the allotment. I found the assembly very easy (I watched a 2 minute how to on YouTube first). This mower cuts as well as my petrol mower, copes as well on the bumpy, thick allotment grass and is miles easier to manoeuvre despite not being self propelled. I like the fact I can hold down a number of different throttle points on the handle to keep the engine on while I get up close to a fence or brickwork or give one of my hands a break. I also, controversially, love that it is plastic. No rust and easy to keep clean. It folds down to a small size and very portable. I can carry it easily with one hand whereas I could barely lift my petrol mower. No dangerous cords either and no polluting/smelly petrol.

I previously had an 850 Hayter Harrier 48 Lawnmower, with electric start and power-drive, bought for my football pitch sized garden. Now we have moved to a nicer house with a much smaller lawn, and so I bought this after conducting some research and reading the reviews.
Construction – Very plasticy (what isn’t these days), but good Bosch quality build. I found it very easy to assemble and ready for use in 10 minutes from opening the box.
Weight – About 1/4 of the weight of my massive metal Hayter, so very easy to control and move about, or carry with one hand. Could be easily stored, or hung on a suitable wall hook.
Battery – Only one + charger supplied, with the charger, but I found it fine to cut for 25m (the time it took to cut my lawn) and there was still plenty of jiuce left.
Operation & Finish – Very easy to control, with a small roller that gave decent stripes on the lawn. Grassbox was a good capatiy and very easy to empty, but also to put on and take off the mower.
Not having any petrol or cables to worry about is a major plus+++ It means no wasted time, and you can really move fast round the garden. The motor is quiet and seems to be fairly powerful, and did not struggle once.
I have read some bad reviews, but honestly cannot see the same problems – A great small mower for the price !

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThere were cheaper cordless mowers available but I was not familiar with the brand and as I have had many excellent Bosch appliances I decided to get this. I was not disappointed. It is very light and at my age, nearly 70, this was a top priority. I read in the reviews that the grass box was flimsy which is true to some extent but that is what helps the mower to be so light. The grass box is perfectly adequate although I do find that it drops grass on the ground when I empty it, even if the box isn’t full. I did have a moments anxiety when I first put in the battery pack as the mower wouldn’t start! The battery pack does need to click into place. You need to hear the “click” and then all is well. The battery is brilliant for my needs. I can mow the back lawn 75 sqm and the front which is about half that and the battery hardly goes down. The indicator light it useful and it quickly recharges.
It only takes about 15 minutes to do both lawns, even though the width of the cut is much smaller than the electric mower it replaced and I am once again, thoroughly enjoying mowing the lawn.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAfter a petrol mower this is a bit like cutting the lawn with a vacuum cleaner. But it does the job just as efficiently, and with much less noise and smell and general mess.

This mower was purchased as a replacement for the similar sized Qualcast battery powered mower which had recently broken and for which it is impossible to obtain spare parts. The Bosch is a far superior design and much better made. The rechargeable battery is simple to insert and remove and charges quite quickly. The multiple grip switches make operation much easier and the lighter weight is also welcomed by my wife, who does all the gardening. If it ever did break down, Bosch spares are available. Golden Review Award: 12 From Our Users… i bought this last summer for the allotment, as I was fed up with petrol strimmer. This is so much better than that and cuts down the amount of time doing the grass drastically. I bought a second 2.0Ah battery and what I need to do is done in 40 mins with both batteries depleted, assuming the grass is reasonable height.

This year, the spring grass has grown long very early, and you know, it’s tackled that, albeit with 4 batteries worth of charge pretty well. Yes it does clog up, but I am really asking too much of it.

Grips, yes, I have a few. It really is very plasticky, which means you can move it around easily of course. I’d like some kind of indication of battery charge on the handle. And it does, even with short grass clog up quite a bit (I don’t use the grass box, it’s an allotment), the grass does not come shooting out the back as it should.

I had considered if I wanted the next model up (370 iirc), but for getting between raised beds, and generally getting to narrow spaces this is great. The fact that the cut is not perfect doesn’t bother me, since, well, it’s an allotment! You just need to keep the grass short-ish. Also, the 370 needs a special adaptor if you don’t have the grass-box on, which makes it more expensive still (or so I understood when I was doing my research).

Make sure you check what size batteries you are getting, I spotted that there’s one with a 2.5Ah on sale for a similar price to this one, and one more expensive with a 1.5Ah (or something). Since you’re paying primarily for the battery, worth being sure.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI am so pleased with this lawnmower. We had a petrol one before but it stopped working a couple of times last autumn, so I purchased this little beauty. It is a bit narrower than my previous lawnmower but not too much. It is so light and very easy to use. No hard pushing and therefore is much quicker to cut the lawn, which it does beautifully. I am so glad I got this one.

I bought this for my step-father who is in his 80s and could no longer manage his ancient petrol-driven mower. He is delighted with this and his lawn looks great. It even puts stripes in the lawn, which is an added bonus.

Love this lawnmower. Bought it towards the end of summer – never cut grass before – found it easy to use. The battery doesn’t last long enough to do front and back lawns but this is fine for me as I will do front one day and the back next.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSwitched from a manual push mower to an electric. Never going back This lawnmower was so easy to assemble, and it’s so easy to use. No cords. No petrol. No worries. Battery lasts a long time Am considering other Bosch purchases.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersChose this because it is electric and cordless. Easy to charge the battery up in the garage, slot it into the mower and off you go. I love the lines created by the roller. I can do our lawn in under 10 minutes and it looks the business.

    Like the lines!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a vast improvement over an electric mower. By eliminating the need to keep moving around the flex, moving between sockets and winding up the reel it saves significant time. The mower cuts well, is easy to adjust for depth of cut and nearly eliminates the need for a strimmer by cutting right to the edge of the machine (perhaps is does not sure yet).

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI have a very modest sized lawn, and for that this mower is perfect. If you leave your grass for two months and it’s the size of a tennis court this isn’t going to be for you, be realistic it’s a small mower.
It takes me less than ten minutes from taking the mower out of the garage, to putting it back in.
It was easy to assemble, if you can’t do this without instructions I suggest you stay away from machinery.
Power is completely adequate, I’ve never flattened the battery yet as it would obviously last more than ten minutes.
Grass box is great, and somehow this fits more than my old larger Bosch, I guess it compacts better.
Very light and easy to carry, made even easier without wires.
There’s a keylock system to disable the power, if you have kids.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI found the product very well made and able to carry out the task without the bother of cables. my only reservation is that its designer hasn’t made the mower able to cut lower.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery efficient mower. Cordless is great for easy of use.
Thought might be too small for my frount garden (100m2), but the battery life is fine provided it is fully charged at the start.

Liked the manoeuvre ability ,the easy to clean and easy to understand the instructions of the machine.the grass collection needs a bit to feed into the box from the cutting blades you do not have a lump which builds up so when you take the box off you do not have a wall of cuttings.

I’ve used this four times since purchased and found it a Very Good mower, it has cut the time down by more than half to complete the lawns inc cleaning afterwards. Leaves a nice stripe would recommend had checked reviews on cordless mowers and this was in my top two then it came up in the Prime Sale good saving

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersAlthough it is small compared to my old Bosch, it cuts well, with good battery life. Just be aware that there is only one battery (the main advert implied there were two, but in the small print there was only one).

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHappy with the lawnmower overall. The downside: battery life. The battery runs out quite quickly so if you have a big garden (main reason why we needed a cordless one) you’ll have to charge it a few times. Ie: a 150foot garden took 4 recharges. It charges quickly but still, time consuming overall.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe instructions, being illustrations only, could have been slightly difficult to follow at first, but were in fact better than similar ones on some other products. The metal handles were a little difficult to manoeuvre into the plastic sockets, but the whole thing was generally easy to assemble. I have found the mower easy and comfortable to use, and it deals well with the fairly uneven surface of my lawn. Very pleased I bought it.

Best lawn mower I’ve ever had. Gives a very good even cut. So good to not to have to worry about an electric cable. You do have to put the battery in with quite a bit of force but that’s easy once you get use to it.

Perfect for my needs. I have two irregular shaped small lawns with a tree in the middle. Only takes 10 minutes to cut one. Battery lasts to cut both lawns. Then pop it back on charge ready for next time.

Great lightweight mower that does the job.quiet and efficient so much easier to use than the heavy petrol mower.Only slight concern is when the basket is near full the weight does have an effect on the main handle twists in the plastic base they are located in it seems that the base should have around the locating holes,a minor gripe.

Cutting the grass with this cordless lawn mower is much easier than with a corded or petrol mower, This model is very light and ideal for a small lawn. Battery charging is easy and efficient. If you are getting older and want an easier life then this mower is definitely worth considering.

Excellent mower. With hindsight I possibly could have done with the bigger battery to enable the front and back to be done on a single charge. However it does the area that I expected it to.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have a very small lawn which is why I thought this would work well for me. It was easy to put together and I charged the battery whilst assembling it. Nice cut and no longer have to keep moving a lead to get round the garden. Would thoroughly recommend for people with small lawns and the batter charge lasted around an hour, so cut my lawn 4 times to one charge.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSo much better than trailing a cord around the garden, and the battery lasts longer than it takes to cut my 2 small lawns.

It is light to handle and push along, but a bit difficult to manoever in a confined space, eg when turning at the ends of my small lawns.

It cuts very well the grass looks better than it ever did, and I am sure my tecnique will improve with practice.
