No temperature control for hobs
If you want to control the temperature of the hobs, this is not the product for you.
excellent produc
easy to use, compact and not at last beautiful multi-cooker .
Kitchen Gem
The mini oven is efficient and quick. Easy to clean. The only problem is the hobs have no temperature controls. So have to watch over ehat l cook on hobs.

Accurate temp control decent build quality
Accurate temperature control, decent build quality. I only use the oven because the rings do not work well if the oven is on and both rings work to the same temperature even though different sizes. One thing to note is the exterior of the oven gets pretty hot! Another thing to note is that this particular oven is smaller than my previous Von chef oven and my rectangular dish will not fit inside. This is a problem for me but may not be for you. You just need to check that your ‘special’ dishes will fit before you buy (I assumed they would and was mistaken). Dropped one star because design problem with rings.
Was for my son in his flat he was very pleased
This was for my son for quick meals after work. He liked it.
It works
Cooker looked good, plenty of room inside. Took a while to figure out the instructions for use, but figured it out and working well. Pleased with cooking results.
Good
Can’t use hob same time as oven
Cooks beautifully. Need to try cooking a cake though. Brilliant for one person. Although did cook a successful meal for 2
Good value
The oven doesn’t light when on but works fine and easy to use
Mini ove
Would buy this again, well wrapped, easy to use, instruction easy to understand
works well
likes ; easy to use. dislike’s ; you cannot have both the oven and hotplates on at the same time, they have to be used independently
Well made, good value
Takes a bit of getting used to after a full size cooker, but it does cook everything properly. Easy to clean, looks good and feels like it will be quite durable and long lasting
Needs non slip pads underneath
When I put the mini oven on the worktop, it slips and slides all over the place. It certainly needs some rubber pads under the little feet to stop it sliding.
I’m trying to find something, but it’s difficult because the feet are hollow, and I can’t glue a rubber pad on.

Really good cooker just a shame I cant adjust the temperature for the hob like my old 1
Good value for money
Ive purchased several mini ovens over the decades & this model is really good, its well built & the oven works well, im not keen on using the hobs because they are too high up, i would recommend purchasing a Russel Hobbs 15199 two plate mini hob to use with this oven..

Mini cooke
Love it the only problem is you can not use hobs at the same time as oven, you have to turn oven off about 10 minutes before then you can use hob if need
A great help in my kitche
I am renovating my house and was using a single ring induction worktop cooker. While I can and do knock up so pretty decent meals on it, the Russel Hobs has been a god send as it has two rings and an oven.
Mastered how to use it in just a few minutes and I have never looked back. I can make anything now. Sure it isn’t a full size oven, but is entirely adequate for my needs.
Being only able to use the oven or the rings is a shame but I appreciate that there is only so much load you can place on a 13amp plug. But I find I can leave stuff warm in the oven if I need the rings too.
The short power lead is my only real dislike, it needs another six to twelve inches.

Ideal for single folk/elderly people
Bought this for my elderly mother who struggled with a full sized oven door.
Its a really smart looking unit- not too heavy and really easy to use controls.
Am very impressed with this little oven…for the price you really can’t go wrong.

It is useful, works well and food is delicious . I’ve done grill and the top of the oven got dirty. Hard to clean, even I cleaned shortly after cooking, that was challenging. For this I’ve dropped one star. I can control temperature easily and food is cooked a bit faster than usually. Overall I’m pleased.
We’re mid house renovations. A knock through wall means my old, real oven had to come out and be thrown.
Knowing a new kitchen is on the cards, but not for a year. . I needed a temporary fix, to make do for a while. I am not using the hob at all.
We are 2 person house. This was a reasonable priced fix for a while.
Took a bit of getting used to.
But actually, I am even now doing lovely roasts in it. Heats up quickly. Cooks well. Adjusting the cooking heights is easy. The grill is very effective.
I wouldn’t want to be cooking larger quantities.
Would be fabulous for caravan, or mobile or work place etc. I’m quite enjoying it. And it will more than suitably get me through a year with out a real oven. Outside does feel warm, but no hot. It is an oven after all. Good job. Lightweight. Portable.
Great for an individual
Great for an individual, but unable to use both oven and hob at the same time. So more difficult cooking for larger numbers. Cooks very well though & much better than my previous belling.

All good, but.....
All good.
But cannot use the oven and hob at the same time.
Efficient and useful
I use this oven in my holiday home and I find it quite satisfactory. Well worth the cost.
Great mini ove
I bought this when my main oven packed in at start of the covid 19 pandemic. It was a lifesaver! I have used it constantly ever since. It heats up faster than my old oven so I was happy with this. The rings on it are good and fast, I would say the only drawback is you cant use the rings and oven at the same time. This was not a concern to me as my hob was working fine, but if you need it as a total stand alone cooker, it would be worth considering if it would meet your needs. Great wee oven though!
Excellent product great value for money
Absolutely love this oven & hob. Cooks food perfectly. We are a family of 3 (mum dad & 14 yr old daughter) and we can cook a full roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings perfectly. Just takes a bit of planning but very little effort. Excellent value for money. I won’t buy a “normal” oven again. Just brilliant. Really pleased

Great supplier Arrived earlier then expected
Features including setting the temperature, two hobs and timer make this a very good product. The best looking mini oven i have seen. Cooked a chicken and came out crispy and hot. Well worth the money highly recommend this product.

Why on earth are people complaining about (lack of) features that are only available on full-sized cookers at five times the price? People are weird. Can’t they read?
This cooker has been around for at least 50 years and is a staple of student digs and bedsitters. Once you get used to its quirks it can produce some terrific meals in a very small space and its price is fantastic. In 1996 this cost 70 so it has held its price well.
I bought this as I’ve become disabled and my house was supposed to be modified in April 2020 but CV struck and I’ve been in limbo since so this cooker gives me a fair degree of culinary independence as I can now cook in what is now my sitting room.
Well done Russell Hobbs. Decently engineered, decent design.
Brilliant Ove
This oven cooks a lot quicker than our old gas cooker, only thing is can’t use the rings on the top when cooking in the oven, but we knew that when we brought it. Really pleased with it.

good
very good product , I wish can go like 280 but ofc its a small ove
easy to use
works very well nice modern shape clear dials ( ideal for an ancient like me only dislike you cannot use the oven while hotplates in use and visa versa .
Great occasional/temporary cooke
Fab product: we needed it for our temporary kitchen whilst renovating and it more than did the job.
Brilliant oven.
Delivered and cooked in it same day. It cooks better than our expensive oven that just broke down. It’s not massive, but can fit a large chicken and roasting veg, etc… So happy! Love that you can watch things cooks. Having the top and bottom elements on at the same time helps to cook everything through thoroughly and more quickly.

GOOD QUALITY OVEN
Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen Multi -Cooker with Hotplates 22780, 1600 W – Silver
seller= Russell Hobbs
Ordered on 26 December 2018
Still working well in 2020 ,definitely worth the price.
Only thing is the temperature markings on the dial that jujmp high from like 160c to 180c.
would have preferred an extra making in-between , if you know what i mean.
But that is a small niggle ,overall a great mini ove
I took off a couple of stars because the controls are analogue, the hotplates are not controllable (they’re either on or off), there is no oven light and the glass door is almost opaque. I added a star back on because the oven cooks beautifully, turning out a lovely 10″ pizza amongst other things, and it’s cheap but far from nasty. Overall, I’m very pleased with it.
Overall This is really very Good considering its The first mini cooker I have ever bought. I found it very compact and surprisingly very light To move around. Does not really Take up much space in your kitchen and I would suspect even ideal say in a caravan. comes with Two heat up bars inside The oven Top and Bottom or you can have Them both going at The same time. Two Hotplates on The Top of The cover really give a Good finished look To your cooker. The cooker has its own built in fan and cooker Timer. first Time used cooking Time was really Trial and error I had no real problems. There is no real need To set settings To High I have just been using Medium and as an example The likes of Pies and Chips have all been cooked nice and hot. Given really 15 mins The cooker reduces cooking Times down for you Than using a conventional oven. comes with Two trays a Top Grill Tray and The convenient roasting Tray which is your ovens main cooking Tray. all finished in a stylish black with clear view Door allowing you To view your cooker inside. I must admit I am not an expert around cookers Though using This I find really confident in using it. overall if you are like me first Time buyer of a mini cooker I would certainly recommend it to you.
Easy to clea
This oven is simple to use, easy to clean and affordable, cooks a 2kg chicken in 70/80 minutes, possible a lot cheaper than using a conventional gas oven.
I love my cooker ideal for me as I’m a pensioner so no need to use my big cooke
Cooking meat and veg at same time is difficul
The cooker is compact and can cook/grill at same time. However it is not possible to have hot plates and oven on at same time. This means precise organisation to have meat and veg available hot at the same time.

Good inexpensive buy
Excellent cooker…grill ect… Fits in With the other appliances…
Good colours improvement on the older models
Great cooke
Saved us as we didn’t have a kitchen for 3 months. Cooks great better than my old oven. Only thing is you can’t have the rings on the same time as the oven.

Overall a great little oven which we have as our only means of cooking at home (gap in the cupboards for a stand-alone cooler in our rented home is narrower than any available uk cooker so we bought this and a little shelving unit to use instead!).
It takes some getting used t the ‘knack’ of cooking with this and you can’t simply use it how you would a standard domestic cooker, so it’s a matter of relearning how to cook? The hob rings can be used individually or both at the same time, but don’t have a temperature control and are simply ON or OFF. They also can’t be used at the same time as the oven or grill (this is the most frustrating feature of this mini oven as if you’ve roasted something and want to cook some veggies you have to turn the oven off?!)
The oven has a temperature control from 50-220*c but this is a lie the oven is ON or OFF and the temperature control doesn’t do anything (so it’s sits at max all the time!). The 220*c definitely isn’t that hot and is probably somewhere around 180*c. The best way to
Control the cooking temperature is to move the shelves up and down inside the oven, moving the food to the top for hotter temps etc? Food also takes longer to cook that is on the cooking instructions. HOWEVER, despite all this, we have managed a full Sunday roast in it with a whole chicken and trimmings and I’ve managed to bake cakes and bread and butter pudding. You can manage to cook big family meals in it but just have to get your head around how to get the best it this little oven first?
The grill is great and have no problems with that.
It has 4 shelf heights inside and comes with 1 grill pan/oven tray that slides in and 1 wire rack shelf. Be aware that because it’s not very wide a lot of standard oven trays won’t fit inside. It is however deceptively deep and fits in big 30cm diameter over dishes.
The inside of the oven is really easy to wipe down and the outside has a nice matte black finish. However the job rings drive me mad as they are textured on the top meaning food gets stuck in all the holes?! They also rust after cleaning, even if you thoroughly dry them immediately after? I’ve even tried proper job ring cleaner to see if it prevented this rust but it it hasn’t?
It’s has a dial to control temperature (but as previously mentioned ours stay at max), a dial to choose if you want to use the grill, oven, 1 x hob ring or both hob rings. The third dial turns to the left for ‘ON’ and the right to set a timer. Be aware that this timer turns the oven off completely when it sounds and isn’t just an auditory buzzer to tell you the times up.

Bit like Politics’ though. Better in some ways but worse than my old machine in the sense that it dos’nt have a temperature self- adjust. So you have to stay with it and constant spoon’ stir until a while after switch off. Just as I read another buyer say the same.
This little oven has saved me from hunger many times i bought it for my garage as this has a normal 240v plug socket. It gets up to full temperature in only a few minutes. The timer function is ideal also as sometimes I get carried away with work and forget the time.
It also looks very nice and of high quality sat on the worktop.
Bought as A gift for my brother believe he loves ideal for any single person living alone
Recommended.
Cool item, helped me out of a fix and was good value, at the time of purchasing it was 65.
Very neat item
Bought for my daughter – she loves it. Small but very easy to use.
Christmas Day saved
This is great came when expected it’s my wee Christmas Day saver as my big oven broke and until I can afford a new cooker I got this to cook my turkey in looks great works great very happy thank you

Very pleased with this cooker and it does everything it says it will.
Just Perfect!! Especially the oven it's very strong
Just Perfect!! Especially the oven it’s very strong! About the hobs it just takes them a few more minutes than usual!
I brought this to replace my broken down cooker meant to be temp but i have now been using it for around 4 months or so and found it cooka food better than my propee cooker, im cookong dor anywjere between 3-5 people at a time it can be a challenge but does OK. Iv removed 1 star as both hob and oven can NOT be used at the same time and the hobs do NOT have temp control so have to be careful not to burn things but over all a really good cooker.
love this oven – perfect size in our makeshift kitchen whilst we are having a new kitchen done
fits in a roast and potatoes’ adequately – can get a bit hot, so careful around younger ones
does the job !

This a great looking item. It’s glossy. Looks great, and I use it every day. One snag – the hotplates aren’t temperature controllable. Still a nice item – well worth the money. Great, thanks!

Brilliant ,came early ,cooks perfect roast ,grills your breakfast a must have
Brought this for my mum, to put in her small kitchen and she loves it. The oven clicks off when the time runs out, which is great for her as she’s disabled and forgets. It stops her burning her food.
Great ove
No complaints at all. Great little oven. Might just be me but doesn’t seem you can have the hob on at the same time as the oven, hasn’t bothered me yet though.

Bought this for my dad who loves it. He doesn’t have room for a full size cooker, so this is ample for him. Loving looking too. Just the job.
It has been great so fa
I have a tiny kitchen, so space issues were my reason for choosing this product.
It has been great so far. I thought I would be limited to what I could cook, but I have even baked bread in it.
The hobs don’t work at the same time as the oven/grill, BUT they do stay hot for ages after being turned off, so you just have to be organised/creative.
I would recommend this produc
Good little oven.. And a great price 2!! My only real gripe is, that the oven does not work, at same time as hob.. So it’s one or the other on!! Otherwise, am happy with my purchase.

Excellent value ove
I purchased five white ovens (Russell Hobbs) from a high street retailer but these are definately better although a little smaller. Black a more serviceable colour. Attractive and well put together.
We bought this 2 days before xmas to use as a bit of extra oven space as one of our ovens failed. It worked perfectly – even cooking, heated quickly, just plug and play.
We didn’t have to use the rings, and these weren’t a consideration in purchasing, so I can’t comment on those or on trying to use both the oven and rings at the same time. Quick delivery time and useable oven space were our criteria and these were both filled.

People said it got really hot, but I took the chance and bought it anyhow. I haven’t personally observed it getting any hotter than you might expect when purchasing an oven. The fan works so well, heats up so fast, doesn’t lose heat, cooks really well. What a fantastic product! 100% buy this if you’re unsure, you won’t be disappointed.

Small, efficient, but unable to multi-task
A nice compact mini oven, ideal for caravans or small kitchenette type areas.
The main downside with this oven, as other reviewers have pointed out, is that you cannot use the hobs and oven at the same time. This makes it a little tricky to cook multiple items (ok if they’re quick cook veg to go with something that can be kept warm in the oven while they’re boiled). Otherwise it heats up quickly and cooks food thoroughly. It’s easy to clean and can be used as an oven or grill.
A useful addition to a small kitchen setup, but perhaps not suitable as the only cooking device
Good for what it is but take note of the "mini" aspec
Well made and smart looking mini cooker. The rings can only take two medium pans, my large pans were too big to sit on the rings at the same time, competing for the space. The rings don’t get hot enough for jam making so it’s not an autum standby. It is however ideal for a student flat (although most student probably don’t cook at first!) the oven would only do a small roast but at dinner parties or Christmas it will come into its own with an extra oven for potatoes etc and the two rings for gravy or veg.
It would also be ideal for club houses and the like for just occasional use to warm up savouries etc for small finger buffets. Well made a recommended.

Good value for money
This is a good little cooker. OK, it gets hot when in use (as commented on by some other reviewers), but so does my big oven. You just have to be sensible by placing it on a suitable surface and avoid touching it when the oven is in use. True, it’s a nuisance not being able to use the plates when the oven is in use (and vice-versa), but all in all, it’s very good value for money.
The Russell Hobbs 22780 is a nice little oven and double hob.
I will start with the main issue — you can’t use the oven and the hob at the same time. This may not seem like a problem but if you want to cook your meat dish (in our case a minced beef pie) with gravy and mash, it can be a logistical problem and adds extra stress and tension to meal times.
We made the pie first put the oven on to warm up and it was at temperature by the time the pie was ready to go in — so far so good.
The pie cooked perfectly but we wanted gravy and mash with it — this took some advanced planning.
In order to use the hobs we had to wait until we could switch over from oven to hobs. The gravy was easy, done in a couple of minutes, the potatoes were a different matter.
I had cut the potatoes very small so they would cook quickly and used boiling water from the kettle; we had left the pie in the oven to try to keep it warm and hoped that it wouldn’t over cook the pastry or filling. Once drained there was a brief debate over whether to have boiled spuds or whether to wait the extra few minutes while I took my frustrations out on those poor innocent pieces of potato.
Sanity and self-preservation won through and I took my vexation out on the little white lumps of starch.
All in all it seemed to go down well which was a relief, but what if those extras had taken longer? We would have been left with cold pie, hot gravy and potatoes.
The oven is big enough to hold a large family pie, a medium joint of meat in a roasting tray, or a small/medium chicken.
There would be a problem if you wanted Yorkshire Puddings or roasted veg with your meat (unless you were willing to have cold meat with the hot sides).
The toasting and grilling ability of this oven is marvellous. We’ve had chicken and mushroom toasties, grilled bacon butties, plain toast, etc. All of these were produced without any problems.
I intend to try some bread in it when I feel better but for now mashing tiny pieces of potato was hard enough.
You will need to leave ventilation round it as it can get hot on the sides.
We stopped using the large double oven in the kitchen when the glass doors exploded, and this has had a wonderful side-effect: we used to get family members dropping on us without warning expecting to be fed — unfortunately because these mini ovens are so small there is no way that we can feed all those people so they have started to stop coming.
This is a really good mini oven and double hob — the only down side is that you can’t use the hob at the same time as the oven.

Designed for use as an auxiliary cooker, it is flexible, and big enough, to be used, at a pinch, as a small primary. Compact and relatively light to move about, you can really use it anywhere you can plug it into the mains supply. You do not need to have it hard-wired by an electrician. It offers two different sized hot plates, a grill and a versatile fan assisted oven. You can set both temperature and timing for your oven use and also timing for you hot plates if required. You cannot use both oven and plates at the same time, but this is a safety feature to prevent overloading. It comes with an oven pan and a grill rack that share an interchangeable handle. A basic instruction guide is also included, but the controls are visually intuitive and the switches are designed so that you can easily use them while wearing oven gloves. Remember it is a cooker, and cookers do get hot, so you need to take sensible precautions. Unlike other reviewers, I did not find the cooker overheated or was dangerous in any way. An obvious red light is illuminated to show that the cooker is in use. This is also helpful as the fan is very quiet when operating. The unit is nicely finished, looks good and comes with a 2 year warranty. This can be extended by an additional year by registering the roduct on line. An ideal addition to our kitchen furniture.

Within its overall size of 45 inches x 32 inches (excluding door handle) x 35 inches high this ‘Russell Hobbs 22780 Mini Kitchen’ is an oven with drop down transparent door, a grill, and twin hobs, and it includes a grilling rack and roasting tray with removable handle. . The oven size is 33 inches x 30 inches x 30 inches high, and the hobs are 6 inches and 7 inches diameter. There is an upper shelf support for the grill, and lower supports for the tray.
The controls are rotary twist knobs and are simplicity itself — and big enough to be operated with oven gloves on. At the top is the temperature setting from 60 to 230 degrees Centigrade, the middle knobs allows selection between defrost, or top element for grilling, or bottom element for warming, and both elements for cooking in the 1600W fan assisted oven. The dial continues for either hob or both hobs — a drawback (losing the product a star) is that the oven or hobs can only be used separately and cannot operate at the same time. This is a shame, but not surprising with the mini kitchen wired to a 13amp plug as full size conventional cookers require a 30amp circuit. It is possible to use oven or hobs manually but the lower knob is a timer for up to 120 minutes, with a ‘bell’ sounding and switching heat off after the time has elapsed. Below the control knobs is a red warning light that shows whenever any part of the mini kitchen is in use. The fan operates automatically with any combination of top and bottom heating elements.
Before using for the first time the heating elements and the hobs need to be ‘cured’ by switching on to full power for 20 minutes — and the letting them cool. The mini kitchen itself gets quite hot when in use, and there is a warning to use oven gloves as the door handle gets relatively hot. The unit looks great in black and silver and the inner surface of the oven appears easy clean — but it is not self-clean and there are no removable linings. Guidance is given on preheating, grill-spitting etc. but it should be noted cooking times may be slightly less with a small oven compared to a conventional oven. The ‘Russell Hobbs 22780 Mini Kitchen’ is great for a back-up, or a student flat, or in a caravan etc. but it just falls short of a 5-star rating as mentioned above.
