Nice and gets the work done
Powerful and works perfectly fine. Few minor downsides:
1. More jars and lids than required, and probably could have been priced little less with fewer items
2. Small food particles get stuck on the inner sides of the lid, which takes a slightly more effort to clea
A powerful blender that is almost fully dishwasher safe and comes with a variety of accessories
This blender comes with a great array of different parts which can be quite confusing at first but once you understand the purpose of them (and there are duplicates), it is all rather straightforward. Included in the set are two small cups and three large cups (which can be used for blending, storing and drinking out of), a blending blade, a grinding blade, two travel lids with spouts, two storage lids, a shaker lid and two lip rings (if you don’t want to use a lid at all). Obviously, the base which incorporates the motor is also supplied.
Normally with products like these, you tend to get one cup, a couple of blades and possibly a lid and so if you want to make additional quantities or even different smoothies, you would need to source your own storage containers. However, this blender offers much more flexibility as theoretically, you could make and store up to 4 different products, whilst having another to consume on the go. Everything is also really easy to clean as it can all be put in the dishwasher, with the exception of the base unit. For me, this alone means it is a great product!
As far as results go, the motor is pretty powerful and accordingly, it really doesn’t take that long to blitz everything into a smooth paste or liquid, depending on what exactly it is that you are making. If you’re short on ideas as to what to make (as I always am with a new product), there are some great ideas in the instruction manual, including the staple leek and potato soup, along with a variety of different smoothie combinations (some of which are a bit rank, but others are rather nice – I guess it’s all a matter of personal taste).
A very useful item which I have so far only used to make my own fruit juice. It is quick and easy to use and looks to be decidedly versatile. I like having the cups to store the juice in as they can sit in my fridge for when I need to use them.
A good Nutribullet wannabe
This is a stylish nutibullet wannabe that has reasonable power (higher wattage models are available from other manufacturers).
It comes with a good selection of blenders/cups with lids for you take to work etc and cleaning and operation are good too.
I tried some challenging recipes,, including some with oats, and the texture was as good as more expensive and higher powered models.
Although reciepes are included they are very limited and you will need a book/the internet to get the most out of this; hence 4 not 5 stars.
I run and cycle a lot, and believe that nutrition is as equally as important. I drink a lot of smoothies, as I not only find them tasty, but they are also very convenient, particularly when pressed for time. Having used quite a few blenders and smoothie makers over the past few years, I have come to know what to expect. This particular blender is arguably one of the finest I have used.
Inside the box you will find the blender, a blending blade, a grinding blade, 3 x 750 mL cups, 2 x 350 mL cups and instructions. The unit itself is made from stainless steel and has a very premium look and feel to it. Using the machine was easy. It is very simple to set-up and I did not need to read the instructions at all. I have made a number of fresh fruit smoothies with this machine, and they have all blended very well. I have found that other machines struggle to make my smoothies very ‘smooth’, particularly when I add berries. But I have had no problems here.
The cups and blades are dishwasher safe and very easy to clean. The blades are quite sharp, so some caution is required when handling. The stainless steel unit was also very easy to wipe down after use. I am now looking forward to trying out new smoothie recipes. There are also many more things that you can do with this blender, from making sauces, to grinding nuts. With two blades, you can easily cut through whatever you put in. I am very happy and can definitely recommend this blender.
The Russell Hobbs Nutri Boost Blender is an excellent product and provides superb value for money at a touch over 50. There has been an explosion of this type of blender on the market over the last few years, which is good for the consumer as prices have come down to a more reasonable cost. The cost of this Russell Hobbs version compares very favourably to the Nutri-bullet market leader and the number of accessories included makes the Nutri Boost exceptionally good value.
The blender is very intuitive to use, choose the size of container, add ingredients, screw on the appropriate blade (blending or grinding, depending on what you’re preparing), attach to the base and twist to activate.
The 700 watt motor driving the blender gives it a level of power that makes short work of blending, liquefying and grinding. Smoothies are aerated, soups and sauces are smooth and the strong powerful grinding blade effectively grinds hard foodstuffs such as nuts, ice and coffee beans easily.
The array of containers and lids provided with the
Russell Hobbs Nutri Boost Blender made it easy to incorporate into my busy schedule, as the containers I used to blend smoothies are also the ones I drunk out of, with various tops supplied to transport or use on the go (solid, travel lids and lip rims). Cleaning and washing is easy, it just needs a rinse with hot water for most things. You can put everything but the motor into the dishwasher, but I tend not to do this because eventually it will mark the plastic through abrasion and it’s just so easy to clean if you do it immediately after use.
This is a great product and if you’ve been wondering which one of these types of blender to buy, then look no further as the Russell Hobbs Nutri Boost Blender comes highly recommended and offers excellent value for money.
This is very similar in name to the high end brand that most people are aware of- and it certainly matches up to expectations – it has a powerful 700 watt motor and it makes light work of all pulping, grinding and blending indeed. It is very powerful, and even if making a very simple banana smoothie- it whisks up so much air into the liquid blend, that it almost feels that there is ice cream in it (of course, you can add the ice cream- depending on how healthy you are being!)
It arrives in a very nice box with lots of attractive images of healthy fruit and smoothies, and is very well packaged. It was quick to set up an use and was very straightforward to get going. It comes with 2 blade attachments- one for grinding, one for blending. You simply attach which option you need by screwing onto your cup size of choice and inserting into the machine- once in you turn it clockwise and it starts blending straight away (the button at the from which looks like a button is not actually a button at all but the Russell Hobbs logo). Once completed you can remove the blade attachment and rinse very easily with no fuss- you can then attach one of either the cup lip attachments to drink straight from the blend cup (minimising excess washing up) or if heading out the door simply attach one of the 2 included leak proof drinking spouts to your cup- and instant health drink on the go!) Its great that it has 5 cups, 2 lids, a shaker lid (e.g.. shaking parmesan cheese on dinner) and the cup lids- but it does mean that they need to be stored somewhere and I would find it more helpful if they fitted together handily for easily storage- e.g.. if the 4 excess cups stacked for example- they don’t- so I have had to think carefully about where to store stuff (space is a little limited). In addition to this a small annoyance is that the cups have not been marked with each 50ml or 100ml for example. I had to get my measuring jugs out to follow a smoothie recipe- which I accept you eventually get a bit slapdash about, and generally just judge qualities needed- on my previous budget smoothie maker. this was marked for me-so I was surprised to have to measure out in a jug for this much better market version. However, this is a mild annoyance, and in no way distracts from the very competent job that it does. I am really happy with the product and at current price offering it is a bit of bargain- and if you have been contemplating a more expensive option- no need, this really does do all those jobs exceptionally well!
I quite like Russell Hobbs kitchen appliances. Everything I’ve bought recently (kettle, hob, extractor) has been good solid quality at very reasonable prices and this blender is no exception.
Forget the Nutri name tie in and what you have is an extremely powerful liquefier & blender and I do mean powerful. Far stronger than the other Nutri device you see on TV.
It crushes things our ordinary food processor can’t even think about.
Nuts are mushed, spinach leaves destroyed,. Exactly what you want a liquefier to do.
No lumps, no stringy bits.
Shame it only has one speed which is warp factor 10.
If you need a good blender this is a good value buy. The supplied containers are useful for storing in the fridge.
No smaller than a standard blender but the power is what separates this from it’s direct rivals.
Superb blende
This will no doubt be compared to the Nutri blender, as looks are comparable as are the functions, however the Nutri Boost Blender is for me a far better purchase.
The blender is 700 watts again, much of a much to the Nutri blend, but what sets this a side is the extra’s 3 x 750 ml large cups and 2 x 350 ml small cups, all with lids, ideal for making a quantity and popping them in the cups for later, or ideal for storing some of the left over ingredients.
You have a 4 point blending blade plus one, serrated grinding blade, both make very light work of what ever you throw at them.
Comes with a recipe book, soups, smoothies, sauces, however I do recommend you invest in a good recipe book, especially for the smoothies, I’ve made some pretty horrid smoothies in my time, it was only when I purchased a book I started making things that were palatable.
I’m really liking this blender, the size is great, love all the bits it comes with and as you’d expect its very well made.
Following a very similar design to the Nutribullet and every other copycat that has been ubiquitous for the last few years, the Nutri Boost is for health-conscious who are looking to get the most out of their fruit and veg. I won’t detail the benefits of these types of blender as that information is easily available elsewhere, but the crux is that you get everything you put into it, so that means you get the ‘pulp’ and other nutritious elements that are sometimes wasted in juicers. The deciding factor for these types of machines comes down to their power and blending ability. At 700w the Nutri Boost is firmly at the upper-end of the scale.
The machine is basically three parts — the base/motor, the blade unit and the plastic container. There’s a choice of two blade units depending on what you’re chopping up, and different sizes of container. In use it’s very simple; just add your ingredients to the container, screw on the blade unit and then tip it up to attach to the base. Turning it on, so to speak, is done by twisting the two together. There’s no mistaking when it’s on — it’s very, very loud and aggressive. (The base unit has suction cup feet to stick it to the worktop, which I found irritating at first, but once I’d turned it on I realised why they were there!) With that noise though comes sheer power, and this is where the Nutri Blast comes into its own. It absolutely pulverizes whatever you put in it, in a matter of seconds.
I’ve been trying out a few different smoothie recipes and it hasn’t flinched at anything yet. Ice, nuts, orange pips, all demolished. I was also impressed that it dissolves things like spinach leaves, which are often left tangled but unharmed in weaker blenders.
It’s a cinch to clean. Rinse the blade unit under the tap and you’re done. It couldn’t be easier and really encourages regular usage — I’ve used it daily since I got it.
The bundled accessories are good, five containers (three large, two small), two sport-top lids, a shaker lid, a couple of storage lids and rims to turn the containers into cups.
So that’s it, a monstrously-powerful, super-quick and versatile blender — excellent.
he best smoothies ever!! liquidises the pips into oblivion, quite brillia
I cannot fault this blender!!
I have a couple of very high end kitchen machines which come with liquidisers.. so what did I need one of these for? seemed a gimmick??
but it is a very surprising object, I have just used it to make a smoothie with mixed frozen berries and almond milk and it is sooooooo smooth !! although the mix contained my favorite fruit(raspberries) there is not a pip or lump to be found ! nothing to strain out! just a lovely smooth drink!!
to say I’m surprised and happy is an understatement.
Of course like all blenders its a little noisy but it doesnt moove on the counter due to the suction feet and at the speed its turning that is also a surprise and a blessing.
The set of jars and jugs is everything you need and it even has some smooth rings so you can drink comfortably straight from the jar and remove afterwards,if you think you can drink that much?
The jars are quite wide and if you do have issues with your hands then this probably isnt suitable for you as all the tops are twist on and you need to twist the jug when on the unit to lock in place and activate the unit.
storage tops for the fridge complete the set.
Pasta sauces with hidden vegetables are next on the list and my only want would have been a colour recipe book to come with ithe set.
Powerful
So I have a cheap knockoff of the original bullet blender. The first thing to get your head around is that this Russell Hobbs Nutri Boost Blender is actually quite large, while still having the same design philosophy as that original bullet blender. You pick the container which suits your needs, screw the blade of choice on to it and press this down on the stand. You actually have to push down and twist to engage the motor, and there’s only one speed – which is full steam ahead. It doesn’t take any prisoners for sure. That push and twist action is a little clunky.
There are a variety of containers in two different sizes, with a selection of lids, including a shaker lid. I don’t see anywhere listing replacement containers, and they are obviously specialised to this unit. They may be available from Russell Hobbs or a spares stockist.
It absolutely does a fantastic job, and the smaller plastic containers are a lot handier to clean than a large glass blender. Whether or not you want to buy this , over a regular blender, is going to come down to how much use you’re going to get out of the container system. There’s no size advantage, as I mentioned earlier, because the Nutri Boost will take up exactly the same amount of space as a full size blender (though it is smaller than those massive square based blenders you get), but the largest container is only 75cl which may be too small for some people.
Fantastic Food Processo
A comprehensive Blender this one is. Basically, you do two things:
a) Liquefying (e.g fruits, veggies)
b) Grinding (hard food stuffs e.g nuts, seeds, spices)
Very powerful motor, it’s able to liquefy apples (cored) within seconds! I have had blenders that did not do well except on very soft fruits like strawberries and bananas. Processing is quick and results are fantastic.
So the package offers a a choice of either a 6 point-blending blade or a Serrated grinding blade. One thing I particularly like this Blender over an equivalent powered Hand Blender is that, you do not need to hold it during processing. The blades are independent so you have a choice of processing in a small or large cup. This also makes it easy to clean the blades compared to devices where the blade is part of a large assembly.
It’s a generous package. With other Blenders I have had, I had to bring in extra containers when processing. With this Device, there may be enough containers to store processed food/ drinks as well as storing food stuffs waiting processing. In all there are 5 cups (3 large and 2 small). There are more lids than cups just so you can use the cups in a variety of ways including storage and when travelling.
I definitely recommend this nice looking Food Processor and with the current offer (50.99, a 49.00 off) I think it offers great value for money.
