The handle is a smooth plastic that feels a bit lightweight. I’m sure it is strong and well made but compared to a genuinely old piece of design doesn’t feel pleasing to hold…bit plasticky. The brushed steel bits all look good.

Does the job, boils quick, looks great and light to hold. Overall a nostalgic appliance with a smooth pour at a great price. No fancy bells and whistles needed.

Bought it for the design, but was keen on it doing the job and being easy to use as well.

Pros: Design, build quality, short boil time, no tacky LEDs, comparatively low cost.

Cons: No indicator light means you can’t obviously see if the kettle is ‘on’ (you can hear it thought). Lid design means you need to hold/remove the lid to fill it under the tap which is an extra step compared to a flip-up lid. Brushed aluminium may be vulnerable to get small dents over time.

Really pleased with this Kettle. Only had it a short while but so far so good. You do need to be careful when pouring especially if you’re used to the upright kettles as the water can come a bit quick.

Haven’t personally experienced anything negative. Delighted with kettle, reminds me of the one we had as a child, plus my teenage daughter recognises it to be what it is – a timeless stylish piece of iconic kitchenware. Happy memories.

I like everything about this kettle.
It’s easy to lift. Looks great.
Love the spout and the way it pours.
    It’s all good!!!

Only problem with this kettle is that you have to take care when pouring out when it’s full. You need to do it slowly to stop it spurting out. Kettle is fine apart from that.

I love the traditional design and pouring the water is a joy, you don’t get water splashes all over like with other kettles. It boils really quickly and you can easily how much water there is in the kettle. Refreshing that it doesn’t have a Led light of any kind. Very good purchase.

It’s a nice kettle, best pouring kettle I’ve owned. The only downside is that the water level indicator on the side is hard to see, would be nice if it was backlit or with a plastic floating indicator. No light to confirm you have it on, would have been better if the switch lit when switched on. The base stand also doesn’t reflect the quality standard of the rest of kettle and feels a little cheap.

On the whole the issues are minor, and would definitely recommend.

The only drawback is the water level not easy for me to see

So nice to have a proper kettle. Spout, lid etc. wonderful buy. Boils quickly. It pours like a dream. Not as heavy as I expected but feels solid and has a very strong and solid base. Don’t hesitate to buy

Had a new kettle and was totally unable to drink from the water it boiled because of plastic. This one is great – much less plastic taste! Does overshoot the pot or cup if you pour while water is still mildly boiling- but if careful this does not happen.
    Very good kettle.
