About your Russell Hobbs microwaveMicrowave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. Easy to use looks really smart value for the money
very nice microwave oven compact size fits in my kitchen i use it every day for heating food
Mirror finish annoying as difficult to keep clear of fingerprints! The dial is annoying as you have to turn it left to start from the highest time down to the time you want frustrating. Otherwise a good product overall.
I am really happy with this microwave… it doesn’t take up too much room on my kitchen worktop and works perfectly. It just about fits a normal size dinner plate in. The mirror finish to the door makes it look really modern too.
Item arrived earlier than scheduled, easy to use and easy to clean. Nice modern looking not bulky at all.
Easy to use and does the job but bear in mind that it is small, very small. Good for a couple or if you live alone. Would not reccomend for bigger quantities.

Very easy to use once you read the instructions. Has a fairly small footprint sits nicely on the worktop. compared to my previous 800watt micro it seems quieter but that could be because it`s new all in all a great little micro for the price.

Its a good microwave for the amount you pay. We’ve had two in the family. Used with moderate usage. Dont expect it to last forever. It may not look the best – but hey then go buy the expensive ones – does what a microwave should full stop. Nothing more fancy
Bought this for our house kitchen, It does what it says on the tin, no fancy stuff. Just a standard microwave that has been reliable to me, writing this review a few months after purchasing. Happy with it, not sure how to clean it as instructions were not clear but apart from the price it’s a good basic microwave. Happy with it.

East to use, excellent value for money and preps food well
It’s a nice microwave with a quick start 30 second incremental button. One slight issue is the digital display is not easily read when stood in front of the unit, it seems like the display is recessed?? Otherwise it’s a good microwave. JG Grimsby

It is the exact size as my old one that I was replacing, but, the inside is smaller! Not a massive problem as my plates just about fit.
It’s sleek looking, small, easy to clean and works very well. However, the dials can be a bit fiddly and if you don’t use the defrost function, you will find that you will be needing the manual close by!

This is a very stylish microwave and as we don’t use it much, it suits us perfectly as it looks great in the new kitchen. It’s not the best however so as long as you’re just wanting it for basic reheating etc you’re ok.

I like the black ‘glass effect’ front look and the matte black exterior. Easy to clean. So simple to use. (Read the manual but didn’t need to – not even to set the time). Please check your plate size: this isn’t a ‘big’ microwave, but it does what I need perfectly.
Like the look, good brand and is easy to use. The only issue I had with this is that we had a 17l before and this is a 20l but it feels smaller which is odd.

I was particularly looking for a digital timer, i don’t like the dial timers, not accurate and in a microwave seconds can decide on burnt or not. Microwaves are so cheap nowadays they are not worth repairing. This unit is to replace a microwave with i purchased from Tesco 4 years ago for 60 so not much has changed. In fact, the software on the Russell hobbs is exactly the same so i am thinking they may have made the Tesco Variant?

Also I never thought I’d miss the wee button that opens the door? Odd aside but just something that surprised me about myself.

Lovely microwave, and super reliable. Looks great and works very well. I just moved in to my first apartment and needed a microwave for 1 person. It fits a large plate and heats up food really quickly.

There is a slight disadvantage to this black model because the inside is dark to check if it needs cleaning but this is minor.
Controls are pretty standard and straightforward (though I don’t like the trend to flush fitting buttons which don’t feel as secure as they used to ) and it is a pleasure to use.

It’s a microwave. It’s black, 800watt power, look ok.
My main gripe is the front isn’t the easiest to clean, it’s definitely like a mirror surface, not black like in some of the pictures (that would just be a black reflection in it).
It’s pretty basic but does the job and look OK. I wouldn’t pay more than the 59.99 I paid for it.
So worth the money it is sleek and sexy
fingerprints will get on it but that is not hard to clean! 🙂
I was initially looking for a good value for money microwave from a well known brand name.
I was very impressed when I opened the box revealing the gorgeous mirrored door which compliments the black finish very well.
Great sale price and value for money, easy to use and keep clean. The glass door shines up well. ( give it a quick burr up after use).

Using the microwave is fine, but its UX isn’t going to blow anyone away. I wouldn’t bother with the programs, they’re not much use, and the power indicator isn’t intuitive, most instructions for products you’re going to microwave specify watts, but this uses a percentage of the full power.
The start button doubling as a “set a 30 second timer and start” is useful and it how I end up using this most of the time as it’s a great 1 touch function. Once started the start button also adds 30 seconds to the timer, so the majority of the time, I’ll just set the time and start with multiple presses of the start button. I previously had a much larger, non-turntable microwave, but this works just fine and cooks food more evenly. I mostly use the Microwave for defrosting meals that I’ve cooked and frozen and it does that without any issues.
Overall the microwave looks great but the glass door seems to pick up (and highlight) fingerprints quickly.
It’s a microwave that serves its purpose just fine, nothing more nothing less.

Love this microwave, it is so easy to use and the handle on the door makes it very easy to open, unlike my last microwave were you had to press a button that I found got stiffer with age. For value for money it is second to none. It came really well package
Looks great and works well. Compact size that will fit in most places. Just get used to wiping it often if finger prints on the mirrored surface bother you.
I like the size easy to use came in handy when I had visitors and helped in with the cooking of meals along with my cooke
I’ve had it for 2 years and never had I problem, good size, easy to use, works perfectly. I wish I hadn’t sold it when I moved to my new place as the integrated one we have now is rubbish…
Top quality item from Russell Hobbs, this is my second microwave from them, the first one lasted 7 years. Various preset functions to help make heating/defrosting foods simple. Easy to use and can be cleaned easily. The colour matches my kitchen which is an added bonus.

My only difficulty was to understand in what row to press the buttons to make it work, if you are like myself that like super easy please patiently read the manual. Except of this an excellent microwave, does the job, it’s not making noice, it got a sound when the timer is off and auto stop and it got nice design. Easy to clean too.

First thing I microwaved was popcorn, usually 3 mins is enough, this one only needed 2 minutes before my kitchen smelt like burnt popcorn…doh. Once the smell had gone after. Few uses, smells better. There are settings to cook on a lower power, but obviously I didn’t do that the first time.

The inside is small compared to how the outside looks, easy to use, only just takes a dinner plate.

Apart from me not releasing that this slightly smaller than your average microwave, it’s a great stylish product even though it’s on the smaller side it will hold your large plates!

Still using this great microwave to this date and I’ve had it over 3 or 4 months now. Perfect, and it’s not as big as other microwave but can still fit a huge plate with mountains of food on it too warm it up.

Been using it for about a month or so now. I’d say it was the best Microwave you can get for the money! It’s very aesthetically pleasing with it’s mirrored door and display. Haven’t had any problems with it so far and we use it a lot! Very pleased with it.
Nice compact micro, you cannot fit a full size dinner plate in it but all we use ours for is heating milk, cooking pea’s and defrosting so it’s perfect.
Has a quick cook 30 sec button which you can press multiple times rather than going into the timer function which is good.. again for heating milk.
Nice sleek look to outside with a mirror front to the glass (which is a pain to keep shiny but does look sleek when it is)
My only negative is the racket it makes when it finishes which is 5 piercing beeps, which is enough and the fact that the digital display is red.. just feels a bit 80’s
Was slightly smaller than i expected but I didnt pay too much attention to the dimensions, this means some of our dinner plates do not fit into it. But overall it is very good.
