About your Russell Hobbs microwaveMicrowave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the microwave stay much cooler. Microwaves cannot go through metal, so the inside of the appliance is lined with metal. The door is lined with a fine metal mesh which stops microwaves getting through. A great compact microwave, just big enough to fit a standard full size dinner plate. Looks good. Mirror finish helps blend in with the rest of the kitchen, but does attract finger prints.

I brought this microwave back in March for my new home however I only had the microwave three months and it set itself on fire on the inside when it was heating up a cuppa tea for no more than 2 minutes. I was gifted the money to get the microwave I wanted so please b careful
Just the job
Replaced another old Russel Hobbs microwave on wall brackets without any adjustment. Nice and simple controls, easy to clean and seems to vent better than the old one. Just what I needed.

Bought this after trawling through reviews and I am not disappointed. Some of the bad reviews, I am not sure why they have been left as |I have not experienced any of the issues that others have; I might just be lucky. Looks nice. After 13 months of minimal use I had to return it; when the door was opened a fan noise started and the plate would continue to turn- faulty. Disappointed as my previous high tech Electrolux m/w still worked after 6 years when I gave it away.

Nice compact microwave
At first our microwave was defective, as it made an unusual sound. As soon as we contacted Amazon they arranged for the replacement to be delivered the next day. We are please with the performance, size and style.
I read reviews on lots of microwave ovens, as we needed one to colour match with our newly installed kitchen, we plumped for white.
The unit arrived promptly and on unpackaging it, I was immediately impressed with its appearance, a very attractive item and matches perfectly in the kitchen.
I read through the detailed paper manual included and tested all the functions, which were very easy to understand and use.
I have only used the oven 2 or 3 times to reheat food, which worked excellently.
I look forward to cooking more with it and utilising all the functions, which included a timer, so it can start to cook while you’re out.
All in all, a lovely looking item, easy to use and great value for money and I would recommend it.

Great value for money, it’s a microwave it does what it needs to. My previous Russell Hobbs was easier to use. I’m clueless on the defrost settings, I press a few buttons & hope for the best. I’ve not bothered to set a time & just press the 30sec button to get my desired time.
I should probably read the manual . .
We bought it to replace an old Sharp microwave which had very simple controls, but was digital. We didn’t want the mechanical “minute minder” timers as they are not good for short times.
This fills the bill admirably and despite having dedicated defrost and cooking programmes, can also be set for power and time very simply. Even better, pushing just the start button gives 30 seconds on full power, and can be pushed multiple times to increase the duration in 30 second steps.
Just one thing to be aware of. Despite the impression of the pictures, the door is actually a mirror, and does show every finger mark when you push it closed!
Otherwise a really good unit and great value for money.

Had one like this before so purchased this one again. I like the ease of use and the look of this model (not ultra modern).

Needed an 800watt microwave. They delivered a silver model but who cares, it does what you need it to so thumbs up from me.
If anything, you have to set the power options before each time you use it though, which just adds extra steps unnecessarily, in my opinion. I get some meals need to be cooked on half power, but still.
Very good looking product. Easy to use once you read the instructions. Only gripe I have is the lack of handle on the door. So after a while with usage you get finger prints all over the mirrored door!
