About your Microwave
Microwave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the microwave stay much cooler.
Microwaves cannot go through metal, so the inside of the appliance is lined with metal. The door is lined with a fine metal mesh which stops microwaves getting through.
Cleaning
Avoid using scouring pads, steel wool or other abrasives. Warm soapy water and a sponge should get rid of all moisture and food spillages.

Avoiding Mishaps
To avoid any microwave mishaps it is recommended to take extra care with the following:
Low moisture foods (eg. cereals, bagels, dried pasta, pulses and chocolate)
– These must be cooked on a low power level for a very short length of time, or preferably not at all.
High sugar content foods (eg. jams, syrups)
– These foods can become easily ‘super-heated’ when cooked in a microwave oven.
Foods containing alcohol
– Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite.
Foods with a membrane or outer skin (eg. fruits, sausages, potatoes)
– Food with a sealed or none porous skin must be pierced to allow pressure and steam to escape.

Superb product, well engineered and great value for money.
Delivered promptly and so easy to set up. The stainless steel finish is excellent. Easy to use too and has special additional settings for defrosting and even a separate ‘potato’ button. A nice decent size too which can accommodate the larger dinner plates easily. Value for money on this is remarkable at 129. Five Stars and well done Russell Hobbs, an underrated manufacturer.

Very simple to figure out, half the time you can’t figure out how to use all of the buttons, with this one it’s a breeze.

The microwave itself is a good capacity with easy controls. It looks nice from the pictures but is very plastic in reality. I found the door release slow to open the door and you had to press the button hard. You get a feeling it won’t be getting any better through usage. In operation it is slightly noisy but does the job well. I think it is slightly overpriced for what it is though my experience with Russell Hobbs products has been very good. If you can get this for about 100 then it is okay. Very average product.

My only issue is it can get a little noisey when used for longer duration. As if something (fan?) is causing vibration, when the cabinet heats up it seems to hit the resonant frequency.
Door catch requires firm pressure. More than I would have expected.
At the end of the day it is not an expensive model and that is reflected in the above

An easy to clean microwave. The chrome colour means it blends in with rest of the kitchen appliances.
I am very happy with this.
Works well, looks good. When cooking is finished it beeps 5 times at a reasonable volume (unlike some makes that can be deafening!)
I hope the interior light bulb lasts a long time, because it can only be changed by a qualified service engineer; the user guide says if the bulb fails while still within the 12 month warranty the retailer will replace the whole oven! The light remains on when the door is open, so remember to close the door when not in use to save energy.
“Stainless Steel” in the description applies only to the door and control panel, the rest is painted metal. I hoped it would be entirely stainless steel because my previous microwave oven (a different make) rusted inside; however, that was after 20 years use so I expect this will be good enough.
Easy to use provided you refer to the user guide, otherwise you wouldn’t have a clue; the abbreviations on the display make no sense. You wouldn’t guess that “dEF1” means defrost by weight, or “A-8” means cook 550g of porridge! Don’t worry about this, you soon get used to it, just don’t lose the user guide!

Happy so far with looks and operation.
Continues to perform as expected and smudges, in my case are not as problematic as some others find… a quick wipe with a tea towel does the trick. Very little condensation/moisture build-up during/after use.

I really like this microwave, it fits all my dinner plates unlike my smaller one and it doesn’t leave itself full of condensation like others. It looks really stylish too but the downside it trying to keep all the fingerprints off it which is difficult as it smears when you wipe it so I end up faffing with window cleaner to try and make it look good again. However the kids think it’s cool that we have a new mirror for them to pull faces in.

The only thing that bothers me, though, is that the steel or sliver does not shine because of our finger prints that smudge it. I have to clean and wipe it all the time. Which by the way not a bad idea.

First of all this is a great microwave for the whole family the functions of this is for heating and cooking mostly in bulk for example porridge. But I use it for single use. it is big enough to hold medium bowls or a 12 inch plate and with the 900 watt power cooks things a little faster. Overall this is a great product and would recommend

However, if you have a compact kitchen I doubt this one is for you. Measure your space against the dimensions to see first, it might somewhat take over the space! Defrost settings are good, so far it has never cooked anything I am defrosting (something that has irritated me on previous microwaves). Quiet microwave but loud pings when finished so I can wander off and hear it when it’s done, which is handy as my memory is terrible.

This process is not complicated, justly slightly more ‘clunky’ than really necessary.

The digital timer enables precise cooking times. I was slightly disappointed with the look of the machine, the front is not flat, it slopes out at the bottom which makes it look like it is not sitting on the shelf properly, I would prefer it to look flush with the other cupboard doors.
