About your Russell Hobbs microwaveMicrowave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the microwave stay much cooler. Microwaves cannot go through metal, so the inside of the appliance is lined with metal. The door is lined with a fine metal mesh which stops microwaves getting through. Cleaning: Avoid using scouring pads, steel wool or other abrasives. Foods containing alcohol – Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite. A simple, but perfect microwave.
Our previous microwave (an earlier version of the sane make) lasted 16 years in our holiday apartment, and everyone using it waxed lyrical about its ease of use. The new model just purchased is similarly simple to use and looks better. A perfect replaceme
Excellent easy to use microwave
I am so pleased with this microwave . It is so easy to use even my husband can use it. He alway struggled with our last one we had that was digital and you needed to press this and that and also turn a knob and if you didn’t do it in the right order it wouldn’t work. This is so easy. You do have to turn the timer to 2 minutes first and if you want less time you just need to turn it back to what you want. This is not a problem. I have bad arthritis my hands but the switches are easy to turn. It also looks lovely in our kitchen as the cream matches the rest of my items. I highly recommend it. 5*****
Beautiful
I’m very happy and it’s working well, I’ve just had it for a week or so. It’s a nice size and I really like the cream colour and neat look.
It looks nice and does the job. Bought this to replace the one we have been using for the last 10 years.
Was looking for a microwave to warm the food and heat the milk for a nice latte and have no digital display. It ticked all the boxes.
However, there are two drawbacks: the noise is a bit louder than my old SANYO one and the light is not bright enough because of the mirror front.
The mirror front looks nice but to compensate that the designer should have choosen a brighter light so the inside was visible when in operation.
I bought this microwave to replace my old one which had peeling paint inside. Since it’s only the 2 of us, we don’t need a huge microwave and I prefer manual models as I find them simpler to use. This one ticked all the boxes!
The black and silver colour looks lovely in my kitchen and the microwave itself works very well. Very happy with my purchase!
This is a perfect microwave oven in my opinion.
We recently furnished the entire kitchen with appliances from a famous italian designer. The microwave they make (and charge 1500) is an absolute useless piece of rubbish.
We decided to buy an additional one and chose this Russell Hobbs one because I previously had one, I knew it was small and easy to add to a fully equipped kitchen and it looks gorgeous. It fits in perfectly with those overpriced, good looking appliances, no different at all. Simple controls, great looking materials, no irritatating noise, not to mention a great price. 10/10 from me. Will never again fall for the designer brands gimmick.

This was give as a present l have a Russel Hobbs this was chosen as it not complicated and retains good quality and smart looking l would buy this again as a present excellent price
Smart little microwave
Neat little maroon unit, the colour we wanted. Appears well made. My wife likes the analogue knobs but I prefer the accuracy of our old digital oven. Having said that, it’s easy to use, you just have to stand over it if you want a cooking time of less than a minute as that is hard to set accurately.
Basic Microwave - does what it needs to!
simple to use and does what it needs to. does seem a bit pricey for this feature point though.. and had my wife not insisted on red I probably would have got a cheaper version in a white/black/silve
Really pleased with this microwave. I only have a small kitchen so this was the perfect size. The colour is lovely as matches my kitchen. Works really well. The first microwave arrived damaged so contacted Amazon who sent another the following day and I returned the damaged one. Great customer service from Amazon, such a straightforward easy process. This is a basic microwave – no frills but suitable for simple jobs – heating drinks etc. Timing is in minutes rather than seconds which is slightly disappointing. However, a reliable basic rather than complicated all singing & dancing cooker.
Easy to use – just 2 dials so you don’t need an engineering degree to work out how to cook your food.
Simply select the power level with one, and the time with the other.
Much quieter than my previous one. The only downside is that I find the light display isn’t very bright when cooking.
However , overall I must say am very pleased with this product.

A basic model but does what I need it to do, which is warm things up. Can be a bit slow and was going to return it for this but decided to keep it as it’s easy for the kids to use. Looks nice too.

A very basic machine, which is good for some people.
There are three things I found irritating.
1. There are no seconds on the dial, so have to guess when it’s ready if in, say, for 3 1/2 mins.
2. No light when it’s operating.
3. There is no clock
Too basic a machine for me, but too late to return it. However, it will be fine for some people’s needs.

Does what it says on the tin. Seems solid and well made. Only negative is that the controls are not easy to read unless it’s in a well lit area.

…then you might as well buy one of these.
Admittingly I don’t use it on a daily basis, probably a couple of times per week. However it does the job in defrosting and cooking food and (as yet) I’ve had no problems with it.
It looks nice as well, quite retro in design. I’d recommend one of these if you haven’t got much cash to spend.

I’ve had this microwave for a year now and I’m really pleased with it. It works well, looks nice and doesn’t take up much space in my kitchen. It can be a bit tricky if you want to heat something for less than a minute (the timer isn’t very precise), but it’s not a deal breaker.

Easy to use microwave, bit disappointed with lack of a light internally, the door is mirrored so you cant see in at all – only flaw really – some reviews say very weak light, but I can’t see an internal light at all?
