Once you have prepared the microwave for first use, simply place your food in suitable cookware, open the door and position onto the assembled turntable. Next all you need to do is select a power level and the cooking time required by turning the easy to use dials, found on the control panel. The internal microwave light lets you know that cooking is in progress.

Avoiding Mishaps
To avoid any microwave mishaps it is recommended to take extra care with the following:
Low moisture foods (eg. cereals, bagels, dried pasta, pulses and chocolate)
– These must be cooked on a low power level for a very short length of time, or preferably not at all.
High sugar content foods (eg. jams, syrups)
– These foods can become easily ‘super-heated’ when cooked in a microwave oven.
Foods containing alcohol
– Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite.
Foods with a membrane or outer skin (eg. fruits, sausages, potatoes)
– Food with a sealed or none porous skin must be pierced to allow pressure and steam to escape

I do not cook in a microwave – its handy to defrost and other minimal things – I’m sure this microwave can do more but Im not very demand so far. I would recommend as it looks lovely in kitchen – its small, compact, but big enough, and fits nicely – It is home to my salad spinner – fits perfectly. Yes, I would recommend.
I was looking for a simple microwave because I mainly use it for defrosting and heating milk for lattes when coffee making. This doesn’t take up too much worktop space and colour matches food mixer. Very happy with it.
with the arrival as it was delivered a lot earlier than I was expecting , looks good as well .
As for compact you can just about fit a pint mug in height and it only just fits our dinner plates on.
A good microwave. Only 700w but really powerful. Fits neatly on my work top and is very good if you have a small kitchen like I have. This is my second Russell Hobbs microwave. Love its simplicity. Especially for technophobes

A very nice looking microwave, the sticker on the front comes off so easily if you use a hot cloth and q little bit of hand sanitiser on the glue. Looks great and works well

My previous, all singing & dancing microwave was not used to its full potential…as all I wanted and needed was a microwave that saved oven time by part cooking jacket potatoes and cooking perfect al dente veg! This cute microwave takes up hardly any room and is attractive whilst being a vital part of the kitchen. Perfect!
Had this about month and a half now. Very pleased with. The bad reviews appear harsh to me. Cannot fault it at all. If you cannot say anything nice may just be best to say nothing at all…
I am of the older generation and positively dislike the high beeps emitted by so many modern appliances. The Russell Hobbs microwave gives a pleasant sounding deep tone when the food is cooked or defrosted. There are just two simply controls which are easy to use. I have previously owned microwaves with a variety of controls and settings but for me, simplest is the best way to go. It also looks good in my kitche

I’ve only had this microwave for 5 months and already it’s gone rusty on the inside, very little use so very poor, gets very wet when used and timer is very dysfunctional so it’s just guess work when trying to heat anything, please be aware of this product before buying !!!!! an absolute waste of money I’ll never buy rustle hobs again EVER !!!!!
