About the RHRETMM705C
Compact and stylish, the RHRETMM705R is the perfect everyday microwave, and with its 700 watts of microwave power and 17 litre cavity capacity, it’s ideal for cooking a variety of meals in minutes. The chic and trim design means you have flexibility in choosing the perfect spot to show off your new appliance.
Once you have prepared the microwave for first use, simply place your food in suitable cookware, open the door and position onto the assembled turntable. Next all you need to do is select a power level and the cooking time required by turning the easy to use dials, found on the control panel. The internal microwave light lets you know that cooking is in progress.
When the cooking cycle has finished the microwave has a handy ringer function that will sound to alert you. And that’s it! Cooking has never been so easy.

Additional Features

Avoiding Mishaps
To avoid any microwave mishaps it is recommended to take extra care with the following:
Low moisture foods (eg. cereals, bagels, dried pasta, pulses and chocolate)
– These must be cooked on a low power level for a very short length of time, or preferably not at all.
High sugar content foods (eg. jams, syrups)
– These foods can become easily ‘super-heated’ when cooked in a microwave oven.
Foods containing alcohol
– Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite.
Foods with a membrane or outer skin (eg. fruits, sausages, potatoes)
– Food with a sealed or none porous skin must be pierced to allow pressure and steam to escape

Simple and easy to use
My criteria was somewhat limited, warming my fur babies meals and microwave popcorn – this microwave ticked both those boxes for me.
Aesthetically pleasing to look at and very simple to use.

I just want to open the door, chuck the item on, turn it on for a few spins and take it out!

I normally go for digital microwaves. But this manual microwave is not too bad. The only downfall is the capacity is small. Which really and truly I should of paid attention to considering the work I do lol. But I would recommend this and any product from Russell Hobbs is brilliant it reminds of Morphy Richards brand.

Not quite sure that I understand the problem with having to go to two minutes then back for anything less than two minutes. Let’s face it, you have the same problem going forwards as well as back, you don’t have a ‘seconds’ option either way. Unless you are doing some pretty precise cooking, then this shouldn’t be a problem and to be honest, if you are looking to be doing precise cooking, then you should be buying a digital microwave. I also don’t understand the negative comments about the label on the front. Okay, it would be nice if the manufacturer could have attached a more user friendly label, but 30 seconds with a bit of white spirit and the flat end of a wooden skewer and it was off. No lasting damage to the machine and not need for a hammer and chisel! Come on folks, if you’re going to complain about something then make it something useful that can people can use to make an informed decision on whether or not to buy.

easy to use
Nice looking unit bought for my mother. Looks good and simple to use. Now rather that putting a main oven on for an hr, it takes just a few mins to warm up food 🙂

It is easy to use, easy to clean and quick. It has a great vintage look and it works just fine.
Sticky label
There is a label on the front of the microwave above the time dial in red writing that states you need to turn the timer past two minutes to cook for less than two minutes I tried to get it off and it has made a mess as the adhesive is impossible to get off this did not need to be there it should be mentioned in the manual.

First microwave didn’t work was heating food. Amazon was fantastic to my email and rung me working half an hour and reordered me another. Only downfall took nearly 2 weeks for delivery on both occasions but worth it as looks stunning. Simple to use too

Be honest guys, it looks nice thats why you bought it, if you want to go into catering then get an expensive and practical microwave for extreme cooking!
Cream retro microwave
I wanted a retro style microwave to compliment the style of my kitchen and this .fits the bill perfectly,very simple to use which I find a lot better personally,happy with my purchase

at first i bought the toaster and then i saw the electric kettle in the same collection and later the microwave. so i thought about it and i could not forget about all.
now i have all 3 of them in red :)))

Looks great and matched other items
I have the kettle, toaster and coffee machine so was very pleased to find this. Probably could have got a basic cheaper microwave but it looks great and am happy to leave it out, rather than stick in a cupboard
It is a nice, glossy, little red microwave, it matches the other branded kitchen appliances we have, and good and accurate heating, as some microwaves exagerate there output. Would not hesitate to purchase

Nice microwave..looks good..works perfectly ok…only downside is the rather dim light in the oven…not easy to see what’s going on.
so far so good although as others have stated almost impossible to gauge time, looks really nice though. tip to get the sticker off the front one ripped off, use a little bit of oil on a rag and rub.
however the timer knob is not great, you cant really see what time setting you ...
I chose this microwave because i wanted a manually operated one instead of digital, however the timer knob is not great, you cant really see what time setting you have chosen and to get it started you have to go past 2 minutes which is a bit of a pain if you are only wanting to heat something up for 30 sec or a minute. apart from that i like it.

My mother had a stroke and I needed a microwave that is simple to operate and not too modern looking. Ideal on both counts, and even my mother has used it, her first ever microwave
Looks beautiful, difficult to get exact timing as settings are 2 mins apart and the pointer is rounded so I use a time
Looks lovely and works great. The only hesitation would be the timer is not as accurate as digital.
