I ordered my vaccuum cleaner before reading the reviews and after reading them I thought I’d made a big mistake and was ready to cancel the order, but I thought I’d give it a go. And I’m so glad I did, this is a fantastic little hoover, I have a long hair cat who’s fur is a nightmare to pick up but this hoover picked it up with no problem. Yes the suction can be a bit strong to push on a thick carpet but I found if you change direction it soon moves. Very happy with my purchase

Trim insecure
The trim at the front of the sweeper is not secure. Comes off too easily and cannot re-attach securely.

Fantastic easy to work with and swivels no problem and picks the pet up easily
Unfortunately there is no pipe extension with this vacuum. So you can't reach any high points
Definitely picks up pet hair. (See photo)

Needed a hoover on a budget this one is brilliant. Cord is a abit shorter than my last so I cannot go room to room without unplugging an plugging back in every room, small price to pay for a bargain hoove

It does the job by picking up pet hai
The vacuum cleaner is very light weight, the suction is powerful enough to pick up pet hair though the product is very plastic which seems it could break easily in a short time, certainly not for the heavy handed.

No good if you have pets or want to clean hard flooring
Good length cord, good suction, promising looking turbo tool….
The turbo tool was absolutely useless. As soon as the spinning brush bar came into contact with anything it stopped spinning, meaning that nothing at all is picked up using this head!
The suction hose repeatedly disconnected from the main head when using as a standard upright, meaning that I had to re-vacuum the floor many times.
When using the suction hose, so long as I used the tube rather than the turbo tool it was ok. Not amazing, just ok.
We have hard floors downstairs with just a small rug, so tend to sweep daily and only vacuum the rug. The stairs take no time at all with the suction hose, so we stuck with it.
Unfortunately, the rubber lip that keeps the base in contact with the floor (in front of and behind the brush bar) disintegrated after a couple of months, so I have had to return this item.
This vacuum replaced a 1800watt Tesco model. My wife wanted the new one to be lighter, which influenced my decision. Overall I’m very pleased with it so far. Uses 800watts, but the suction is significantly superior. It is noticably both lighter and quieter than the predecessor, and the upright handle flexes side to side as well as for & aft, making cleaning around furniture easier. Easy to empty and clean. There are two filters in the top of the cyclone tube, a hard corrugated filter which is washed clean monthly and a circular foam insert. This certainly traps fine particles and needs knocking clean at each emptying, as well as monthly wash. I hope I can buy more of these, as they will fray fairly quickly. The hose is not very long. but easy to use. A twin ended crevice / brush tool was provided, which is unremarkable. Overall it is light, powerful and easy to use, so pleased to recommend.
Correction: It has been pointed out that the Athena 2 is a 400w cleaner, which from my perspective makes it’s cleaning power all the more impressive. Have yet to source more circular foam filter inserts, but I remain very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner.

Very good product very easy to use no issues with the item. Delivery on the other hand- with it been a Christmas present with Amazon it doesn’t matter if it’s in a box they always put it into a brown box however, this time they didn’t and the person who it was for received it so they knew there Christmas presents I was NOT happy.
