worked perfectly for DIY and has 3 modes. More affordable compared to brands like Bosch. Went for a cheaper one before this and ended up returning it since the drill bit kept slipping out. Defo worth the slightly higher price!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m absolutely thrilled with the Ryobi R18PD3-215GZ Cordless Combi Drill Starter Kit! The sleek Hyper Green design caught my eye right away, adding a pop of colour to my tool collection. The kit includes two 1.5 Ah batteries, ensuring I always have a backup ready for extended projects.

The drill’s performance is top-notch. It effortlessly switches between drilling and screwdriving tasks, making DIY projects a breeze. The 18V power delivers ample strength for various applications, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how long the batteries last on a single charge.

The ergonomic design provides a comfortable grip, reducing fatigue during prolonged use. The LED light is a thoughtful addition, illuminating dimly lit workspaces. The kit’s durable construction and build quality assure me that this investment will last for years.

Whether I’m working on small repairs or tackling more significant renovations, this Ryobi Cordless Combi Drill handles it all with ease. If you’re looking for a reliable, versatile, and stylish tool, I highly recommend giving this kit a try!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNo real instruction booklet provided to identify how the various settings should be used; however, product seems to work well (I bought it for boarding a loft which it did a good job on) and is comfortable to use for a lengthy period. Battery life with the supplied 1.5 Ah battery is acceptable and as the pack I bought came with 2 batteries, the working time has been fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought for a Birthday present for my son, so that he had his own and didn’t keep borrowing mine. I have had one of these for many years and all my Ryobi products (4) have worked well and continue as well as when purchased. This is a very good starter as it comes with two batteries and charger as well as a fine percussion drill.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI generally don’t like power tools. I find them too noisy and I never feel like I have control of them. I guess like anything it takes practice, but I’d rather practice with peaceful hand tools.

I had tried electric screwdrivers in the past and they were rubbish, and I have witnessed the results of some builders destroying the heads of screws with careless drill drivering. However, when it came to a decking project I decided that I was never going to be able to do all that screwing by hand, and so I took the plunge to buy a drill driver that everyone seems to be using these days (you youngsters with your modern ways!).

I found a review of this on a website somewhere – which sadly I have lost track of – and it seemed that this was going to be light enough, but powerful enough for most of what I needed. So I bought this kit with charger and spare battery.

I was planning to mainly use it as a drill driver, as I didn’t expect the drill, especially the hammer action, to be up to much. I was very wrong.

The driver works perfectly, and the torque control is pretty good, meaning I don’t destroy the screws, or embed them too far.
The drill is great for wood – I have drilled 13mm diameter holes through 100mm fence posts easily. The most surprising thing is that the hammer action works really well for drilling into solid walls. I really though this little thing would lack sufficient power to do it, but it is quick and easy, and never felt like it was straining. It was also polite enough to do this fairly queitly.

Having two batteries is great. The battery has died suddenly on more than one occassion, and having the spare already charged means no waiting. When left in the charger unplugged I did find the spare lost its charge, so that was a bit of a pain. I have started taking it out now but not sure I have tested the spare yet (getting old, can’t remember). I certainly won’t be marking it down for this.

So I really love using this. Just works really well. I can’t compare it to any other drill driver, but I do know that I would recommend this one to anyone who needs one.

I’d still be screwing the decking ten years from now if I hadn’t bought this and now I just want to put screws into everything…. Thanks Ryobi for a great product, and Amazon for selling it cheaper than everyone else!
