    Great tool for the price
Currently just using it for the odd bits here and there round the house best value for money you can get at the moment, next brand in comparison would be WORX, completely fine for DIY work and feels fine at the moment and will update if my opinion changes.

    Great produc
Purchased this for my partner who is a mechanic and he said it is great for the job, really useful, manoeuvrable and great for getting stubborn screws out. We used it when I moved as well and was great for making quick work of putting furniture together and hanging things up. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to use and sufficient power to drill in long screws as well as remove screws
Loved this handheld power screwdriver. It is reasonably lightweight, and easy to handle. It has more power than our other one. We used it for constructing an outdoor large shed and it coped well with screwing in 12cm long 6mm wide screws into wood. The very big screws needed a pre-drilled hole to faciliate drilling them in, but smaller sized screws (4mm wide, 70mm or 80mm long) were easy to screw straight into the wood. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger, which provided sufficient power between them to last the day.

    Worked perfectly for DIY
worked perfectly for DIY and has 3 modes. More affordable compared to brands like Bosch. Went for a cheaper one before this and ended up returning it since the drill bit kept slipping out. Defo worth the slightly higher price!

I’m absolutely thrilled with the Ryobi R18PD3-215GZ Cordless Combi Drill Starter Kit! The sleek Hyper Green design caught my eye right away, adding a pop of colour to my tool collection. The kit includes two 1.5 Ah batteries, ensuring I always have a backup ready for extended projects.

The drill’s performance is top-notch. It effortlessly switches between drilling and screwdriving tasks, making DIY projects a breeze. The 18V power delivers ample strength for various applications, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how long the batteries last on a single charge.

The ergonomic design provides a comfortable grip, reducing fatigue during prolonged use. The LED light is a thoughtful addition, illuminating dimly lit workspaces. The kit’s durable construction and build quality assure me that this investment will last for years.

Whether I’m working on small repairs or tackling more significant renovations, this Ryobi Cordless Combi Drill handles it all with ease. If you’re looking for a reliable, versatile, and stylish tool, I highly recommend giving this kit a try!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks well but instructions could be bette
No real instruction booklet provided to identify how the various settings should be used; however, product seems to work well (I bought it for boarding a loft which it did a good job on) and is comfortable to use for a lengthy period. Battery life with the supplied 1.5 Ah battery is acceptable and as the pack I bought came with 2 batteries, the working time has been fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are great drills
Bought for a Birthday present for my son, so that he had his own and didn’t keep borrowing mine. I have had one of these for many years and all my Ryobi products (4) have worked well and continue as well as when purchased. This is a very good starter as it comes with two batteries and charger as well as a fine percussion drill.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersThe best drill I have ever owned - I love it!
I generally don’t like power tools. I find them too noisy and I never feel like I have control of them. I guess like anything it takes practice, but I’d rather practice with peaceful hand tools.

I had tried electric screwdrivers in the past and they were rubbish, and I have witnessed the results of some builders destroying the heads of screws with careless drill drivering. However, when it came to a decking project I decided that I was never going to be able to do all that screwing by hand, and so I took the plunge to buy a drill driver that everyone seems to be using these days (you youngsters with your modern ways!).

I found a review of this on a website somewhere – which sadly I have lost track of – and it seemed that this was going to be light enough, but powerful enough for most of what I needed. So I bought this kit with charger and spare battery.

I was planning to mainly use it as a drill driver, as I didn’t expect the drill, especially the hammer action, to be up to much. I was very wrong.

The driver works perfectly, and the torque control is pretty good, meaning I don’t destroy the screws, or embed them too far.
The drill is great for wood – I have drilled 13mm diameter holes through 100mm fence posts easily. The most surprising thing is that the hammer action works really well for drilling into solid walls. I really though this little thing would lack sufficient power to do it, but it is quick and easy, and never felt like it was straining. It was also polite enough to do this fairly queitly.

Having two batteries is great. The battery has died suddenly on more than one occassion, and having the spare already charged means no waiting. When left in the charger unplugged I did find the spare lost its charge, so that was a bit of a pain. I have started taking it out now but not sure I have tested the spare yet (getting old, can’t remember). I certainly won’t be marking it down for this.

So I really love using this. Just works really well. I can’t compare it to any other drill driver, but I do know that I would recommend this one to anyone who needs one.

I’d still be screwing the decking ten years from now if I hadn’t bought this and now I just want to put screws into everything…. Thanks Ryobi for a great product, and Amazon for selling it cheaper than everyone else!

Wish I had bought this brand years ago
After many years of having a very decent BOSH drill I need a placement and went with Ryobi. I am totally amazed by its functionality at all levels, its light, easy to use and goes through brick/wood like a hot knife through butter. I see the comments about battery life but can’t comment as I have only had it a month but so far 10/10

I bought this for home DIY and it is great for the jobs I do. Plenty of power. No fiddling with a chuck to tighten the bit. The bit tightens very well with a few turns. Battery life is very good.

Have had this Ryobi myself, and now wanted to buy one for our son. I like the way it handles, and the illumination. After a mains electric drill, this is great to use. No cable. No chuck key. Comfortable to hold. Also the price has come down from the original purchase.

    Nice package
So the value of this package & a brand I’ve had no issues with before led me to buy this as my current handheld drill failed.
Getting 2 batteries and not just one and I still haven’t used all the charge in the first one drilling multiple holes into a brick wall. It was light enough to hold and did the job of drilling the holes and screwing the items up with no bother at all.

Brilliant little drill. Couldn’t believe how powerful it is. Drilled six holes through porcelain tiles with diamond tipped drill bits and it was fantastic. Thought I would have to get my mains drill out but it was no problem. Wish I had got one years ago instead of struggling with an old one. Highly recommended.

One of the batteries has failed after eight months of occasional use :-(
I have used Ryobi since the original ‘one’ series came out and have always been satisfied with it for medium/heavy duty DIY jobs. It served me well for almost 10 years. I decided to upgrade to the 1+ as my old drill was getting past it. Unfortunately after 8 months one of the batteries will no longer charge. It has only had very light use and so has probably only been charged a couple of times. Disappointed to say the least. I hope this isn’t a sign of built in obsolescence.

Can’t believe the quality of this drill for the price. Feels good in my hand with slightly more weight than my old Bosch drill which was also brilliant but much more expensive now than this Ryobi product. Appreciate the higher torque of the Ryobi. That was my only criticism of the Bosch drill which lasted seven hard years of use. Hope Ryobi gives such good service. Very pleased with purchase.

Most tasks I have for a drill are lightweight and I have a 12v drill I normally use. I wanted something a little more powerful and for the price this seemed a good option.

Not used it too much so cannot comment on battery life. I have used it for a few jobs to drill into brick using a 7mm bit. This was effortless and I have bo doubt larger holes would be straightforward. Recommended as a good DIY drill. Good power, feels robust and should be versatile

Excellent choice for the average to serious DIYer. Robust and well made, this tool doesn’t shy away from a bit of hard work. On the contrary, it has exceeded my expectations, drilling into concrete with surprising ease and making light work of driving in screws. Couple all of this with the ONE+ system and competitive price, and I think this is a little gem!

It managed to do what I needed, drill 10mm holes in 3mm steel plate with no problems. It also went slow enough to drill holes in plastic without melting it.

The contacts spark, so don’t use near anything that might produce flammable gas.

It might be a “starter” option but ideal for amateur use and probably quite a bit of business too.

already had a ryobi which i used to install a raised sleeper wall, which was perfect and thus far this has not disapointed, excellent and responsive speed control when drilling/screwing nice and easy to use chuck, really pleased and of course 2 batterys so no need to wait to charge when the power runs out, that said based on my prevoius ryobi experience (exacctly the same battery) a second battery may mot be required….hope this helps
