Quality and ease of use, robustness
Well built, balanced well with 2 Amp Hr battery (bit heavy with 5 Ahr).
Works well and has an inbuilt light – good for difficult to reach areas such as under shelves etc)

    Useful but not powerful
Very useful for tighter spaces and floor joists, simple drill that is not super powerful.
Works very well when used with wire brush attachments as it’s lower power makes it more controllable on rusty metalwork and is less likely to grind away good metal.

    Good for occasional tight spaces.
What can I say. Does the job in a tight spaces. It is only 12Nm so not the strongest machine but it is not designed for tough job. It has to drill and drive (small) screws. It only has one gear with variable speed controlled by trigger and no hammer action if you must know. Good occasional drill in small spaces.

Handy tool as and when required.
Simple enough tool to get into tight corners only used it a couple of times as yet but it could be useful as and when needed, hence the price is a bit steep tbh, you shouldn’t need a powerful battery for this tool either.
Not keen on the power switch too it has to be pressed quite hard to obtain full speed as its variable, a handy tool to have on the odd occasion though.

Bei der Renovierung der Kche mssen neue Schrnke aufgebaut werden, Schrauben in den Ecken konnten nur schlecht mit einem normalen Akku-Schrauber montiert werden. Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersA good drill that's useful in tight spaces, but is not powerful enough for cutting holes in joists
This is good for drilling holes in tight spaces – far easier to use than those right-angle attachments for standard drills.

I bought it for drilling some holes for water pipes through a double joist, and it did help me to achieve that, but it wasn’t powerful enough to manage it all by itself. Even with some brand new and razor sharp beaver bits, it would stall after getting a few mm in, especially if you hit a knot hole (It doesn’t have a clutch mechanism either, so be very careful of your hands and wrist if/when the hole cutter jams up and you are not gripping it tight!). It was, however, good enough to get the holes started and make just enough room to get my other drill in (also a Ryobi).

Even if it had managed to get all the way through by itself, that was clearly asking too much of it and so I doubt it would have held up for long under that kind of abuse – the gearbox would have stripped or the motor burnt out. I had a suspicion that would be the case when I bought it (I had also considered getting a more expensive Makita corded one, which I think would have been stronger), but I decided to go for this instead as it was cheaper, I only needed four sets of holes, and I had some other uses in mind if it didn’t work out.

Definitely a good addition to the toolbox – especially if you already have some Ryobi batteries – just don’t ask too much from it. It’s a drill (and maybe a driver for screws in a pinch), and not a hole cutter.

I also have a cordless Ryobi combi drill that has seen a lot of abuse over the years, including drilling holes in concrete, and that is still going strong.

    So close...
As others have said it’s not an essential tool but it is very handy for working in tight areas, building flat pack furniture and built-in cupboards, for example.
I gave it 4 stars because it would be massively improved by adding a clutch like standard drill drivers have to make using it as an electronic screwdriver much easier.

The tool you always knew you kneeled.
Always wanted an offset drill, with its solid build and long reach. There’s often a job that needs a tight access tool, and this one covers all bases. Variable Speed trigger gives total control, and the build is first class.
It’s a great addition to my tool kit.

It’s a good quality cordless drill that drills sideways – about it really. If you’re working in a confined space where you can’t get a conventional drill straight on, then it comes in to its own, with plenty of power behind it.
Have to say though that with the battery it is quite heavy and I would struggle to use it for long periods

A great problem solver. I have been trying to drill holes through some floor joists using a conventional drill which had been difficult due to the position and distance between the joists. I then purchased a right-angle attachment which didn’t work too well, mainly I think, due to the awkward position the joists were in. I then came across this Ryobi tool and the job has been so much easier, especially with the 4 Ah battery. Very pleased.

Great to have but not really needed
OK this is not a must have tool, but it is a really handy one! The small head means it can be used in all those awkward places like inside cabinets, under the bath and it gives you good control. The weight is a little heavy especially with the 4.0ah battery and so you would not want to be holding in funny angles for long. Major bonus is that it is from Ryobi and therefore just buying the tool without the battery and sharing that amongst others makes it pretty good value for money.

A really powerful drill, very controllable, smooth speed progression and easy to reverse. As another reviewer said it is one of those tools that if you do need it nothing else will do. I used it with a 1/4 drive socket set to remove and replace the throttle vale on a BMW z3 and believe me unless you have telescopic arms you need this tool! It just reaches the parts other don’t! Wonderful piece of kit.

Looks weird, but works brilliantly. Enough power for most small jobs and the ability to get into spaces a more conventional pistol design can’t touch is fabulous. Good quality, and I like the lithium-ion battery setup; no recharging memory effect, smaller, lighter, and very powerful. I originally bought an impact drill / driver with 2 x 4Ah batteries and it’s the capacity and power of them which make these ONE+ tools serious pieces of kit for serious DIY and maybe for professional builders as well – I first saw one of these in the grip of a builder putting an extension on my house. The jigsaw is great as well and the impact drill / driver very good indeed.

Pretty heavy but actually that’s not a bad thing as you need the weight when you’re drilling at an awkward angle. It might sit in your bag for a few weeks but then you’ll get a job where only a right angled driver will do and then you’ll be chuffed you have it.

My wife bought me this for Christmas to go with my other Ryobi One Plus products. This is great for getting into small areas that my larger drill cant get into. The light is also very handy to shine on your work area. Got a good weight to it and feels very strong yet good to handle.
