Design and functionality are the bes
A sleek, clean design and very easy to use, the added function of steaming is just great! A great addition to any modern kitchen looking for a free standing microwave! 30 sec button is always useful!

Purchased only 2 weeks ago but so far so good.
Not used all the functions but really like the deodorisation and sleep mode functions.
There’s a slight delay from selecting power level and setting cooking time and as other reviewers have said, it’s difficult to see how the food is cooking inside the microwave.
The cooking results are good though and it’s quieter than previous microwaves I’ve had.
Had to phone Samsung to get the 2 year warranty, as registering the product online only gives you 1 year.

Well made and like th ceramic inside the oven plus the fan that you can keep on to remove steam and smells.
A down side is that you can not see your food very well as the glass is tinted and the internal light is not very bright.

it’s a very good product with a really bad flaw. You cannot see into the microwave when it’s working so checking when something is ready is a real pain. The light inside is completely useless once the unit is in operation. I’ve had so many boil overs now it’s beyond a joke.

The microwave looks pretty stylish for a modern-looking kitchen. It is really easy to use, with pre-programmed setting instructions on the microwave itself. The only issue with it is the window is dark. You can barely see it moving inside.

A decent microwave. Would be better if it had a light inside to keep an eye on food.
Don’t find the auto settings useful, would benefit from having auto jacket potato setting though.

I really like this microwave. It looks sleek and stylish. I like the eco option to save a bit of power at the press of a button rather than have the pointless light or clock on etc. my fave setting has to be the soften setting – soooo helpful!
Good quality product! Sturdy, nice design, easy to use. Only problem is that when it is on, you are not able to see the inside. Door glass is completly dark.

Took me a bit to set the clock had to google it only used the microwave feature so far and that`s fine it came with a steamer so that was a bonus.
It looks good and hopefully it lasts longer than a cheaper one. I like the simple turn off display function and the ceramic inside. It is big enough for a dinner plate.
It is really dark to view when cooking and takes longer to heat than my last Lidl one.

Arrived the next day and was put in use promptly. Easy to understand instructions and easy to use. The light doesn’t stay on when cooking so we’d better use be vigilant when doing porridge
I needed a new microwave after my old one from Tesco packed up after 15 years. I needed black one and the old one had glass/reflective door which looked very posh. It also had grill function but as I not used that the entire time, I decided a simple one would do, especially as I needed one pretty fast. My counter has limited height and only 30cm so I was limited on choice. I struggled to find a nice looking microwave under 200 that fit the bill e.i height, colour, design. Decided to go for this one. So far so good, it looks better than most and is easy to operate. The only disappointing fact for me is that it looks very plasticky, maybe because it is. I was hoping the front door would give more “premium” look – don’t get me wrong, it looks better than most, but still nowhere the same as my old one. For now, it works for me. It’s easy to operate. You cannot see through the door when in use, but it doesn’t bother me.
In near future I may replace it with more advanced & fancier one if I find the spare cash. All in all, I’m not blown away but it’s nice and works well.
Great microwave works really well, stays lovely and fresh no bad odors like I have had with previous ones I bought. Well worth the money and can’t fault it. I think it is brilliant.

I did a lot of research into replacing my old microwave. It had a painted interior which had rusted ( a common problem , I believe ). The space for the microwave was also limited, as it had a designated space in my fitted kitchen, so I was delighted with this item. The only problem was the courier, who delivered it 2 days after the specified date , allegedly because it was too heavy !
How to increment minutes faste
Nice microwave, basic functionality.
It does have minutes functions fast increase. The instructions should be in the manual but are not.
Press start once , then press stop button once then do a long press of the up (higher) right arrow button, the time set will then go up by minutes at a time.
Keep pressing and time set will go up faster or right to go down. You will soon get the hang of incrementing the time minutes up or down quicker.
We ordered this as a simple replacement. It’s relatively light to lift out the box and it’s very well packaged, the idea being Samsung have made every effort to prevent damage in transit.
It looks relatively smart with a nice LED count down. You can set the clock to show all the time or, you can put the microwave in eco mode and it will be completely dark when not in use.
It cooks food exactly as expected. It takes about the right time, if not slightly quicker than you might expect.
The microwave is certainly a well recommended product if you don’t want anything else like a grill or an oven I would very highly recommend this.

So many different options of microwave out there, the review fatigue was real. In the end I went for this samsung option as I like the brand and thought it looked good.
Really impressed so far, looks better in person and it’s very simple to work. Love the deodorisation option and the quick cook option with the handy key on the inner of the microwave.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a microwave and it microwaves very well. But you can’t see anything inside while cooking you have to constantly open the door to check your food etc. Such a peculiar design idea.

Buying a microwave is not that easy anymore. So much research is involved and stress as well. But when you come across a brand name like Samsung and a good looking product, your initial thinking is that – great. No more stress. I can trust that brand.
But ohhh Boy I was wrong. Got the microwave on time and was excited about it. The first thing I tried was a cup of water. For some reason,it took longer than my old low power microwave. Still I thought – I need to trust this brand. Used it for a week and then it died!!!! Guess what – every time I use it, the outside of the microwave was warming up and not the inside. Very dangerous.
Anyways – called Amazon, then Samsung…the. Amazon again…. Sorted out a return & got a new one.
This one is great. All to say that you need to be careful with big brands products as well.

Aesthetic design, but let down if you like to watch things bubbling
We chose the Samsung MS23K3513AK microwave mainly for two reasons: 1) brand familiarity and 2) the black aesthetic. While the latter carries its purpose in my wife’s interpretation of Feng Shui, the barn door. so to speak, will rather disappoint those of you who have a penchant for watching your cheese bubble, or yours eggs or porridge splatter the insides. The door (‘window’) is dark. Very dark. For all intents and purposes, it’s visibly opaque, and you’d rather hope it’s opaque to microwaves, too.
The microwave is large enough to remember why you’re in need of a 23 litre microwave, but it may be too large for TV-dinners for one. Samsung’s ‘Ceramic Inside’ leaves you wondering if the creatives at Samsung had just left a marketing project for a new laptop, however, its said to improve longevity and odour buildup vs. its metal counterpart. With just over 6 months’ use, it’s not too premature to comment, however, I can categorically deny that the steam cleaning program is sufficient alone to rid the microwave of fish pop and sauce plumes. There will never be a substitute for a proper clean.
On the electric front, don’t expect the 800 W microwave to use only 800 W on full power mode. Our meter attests to approximately 1200 W on full beam. It leaves you wondering where the 400 W is being used – certainly not all that power is driving the turntable.

Bought this as we only use it to reheat leftovers and make popcorn. Not as quiet or as powerful as newer models but it’s perfect for what I use it for and a great price point.

Great microwave, but could be bette
I bought this microwave as the one we had (which was gifted to us) was on its last legs, literally rusting and falling apart. Decided to go with this one as I’m a fan of both Samsung and black electronics, so seemed like a no brainer. The mostly positive reviews didn’t hurt either.
I must say that the microwave does look and feel more premium than our previous model (the brand escapes me) but it was a white 900w, 21 litre capacity. This microwave has tons of great features and as I said, it has a premium aesthetic, while also not breaking the bank. While it does have great features and design however, it is lacking a bit in other areas.
Firstly the controls could be better (and actually explained) in the “manual.” For example, I wanted to test out the soften feature. Instead of being able to press “Soften/Melt” then select a number from 1-4 (depending on what you’re softening) and pressing start, you have to press the “Select/Clock” button and THEN start. It’s only one extra step and I really don’t mind it now that I know, but it doesn’t tell you this in the instructions, which almost led me to believe the thing arrived faulty.
My other gripe is how underpowered it seems. Despite being only 100w less power, it seems like it takes nearly twice as long to heat similar things as my old microwave. I can understand a small increase in time, but double seems a bit much. And lastly, and this one is pretty minor, the screen on the door is SUPER dark. You will not be able to see what’s inside the microwave, even while it’s cooking. Seems a bit nit-picky, but it’s a strange thing when you consider most other makes and models don’t have that issue.
Other than that it’s a great little microwave, and if you can ignore the minor quirks, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

I bought this to replace a stainless steel panasonic microwave which after 8 years had become corroded inside the door and developed holes in the door lining (it still worked perfectly but I thought it probably wasn’t safe). This Samsung one is nice looking and works ok but feels less solid than the panasonic and I’m finding it underheats slightly on the times given on packaged food, whereas the panasonic was always spot on. I find it ok to operate but not as straightforward as it could be. The control panel prioritises Auto-cook and other programmes whereas all I want to do most of the time is give it x minutes on full power. To do this you have to press the Microwave button, then press another button on the next row, then use the up and down buttons to set the time. You have to work this out by trial and error as the user manual has very little information on operation. This microwave has very loud beeps but that doesn’t bother me. Features I like are the bright blue LED window which is very clear, and the ‘+30 second’ feature which is quick and useful.

Had a Samsung microwave before it then gave up working and had lasted a good 5 years, so I wanted to get another Samsung as easy to clean and easy to use. Would highly recommend.

I was looking for a great little simple microwave with a handle (rather than a push button) and this microwave definitely delivers – very happy with my purchase. Only issue was that there was once foot (used to stabilize the microwave) missing. I luckily had one of those small soft cushion pads used for chair legs etc which sorted the problem …. but at this price its annoying that it happened at all.

Exactly what I wanted, without paying for fancy features I will never use.
I bought this when an intermittent electrical fault in our old one escalated until it became a nightmare to use. I looked at a lot of options and found they were either too small or too technically sophisticated for my needs making them very expensive. Our old one was also white inside meaning it stained easily. The new one is simple to figure out, (I didn’t need to download the instructions, it works off common sense like most Samsung products do) efficient (it’s a power downgrade on it’s predecessor but the even heat feature means it works better) and the ceramic coating in charcoal grey is hygienically stain resistant. As a bonus the thing is so very pretty, it looks very elegant in it’s little kitchen nook. Very good value for money if you don’t need a microwave, come grill, come large hadron collider in your kitchen.

Good size, sturdy microwave
This is a good quality microwave the inside is a thick enamel and seems very high quality. The odour eliminator is a good feature and totally removes smells. It has a good capacity and is bigger than my previous microwave.

Stylish and Functional
As microwaves go, it looks decent. The black colour scheme, buttons and digital display are nice on the countertop.
Ceramic interior is easy to clean, and deoderising feature is very welcome.
The stated times on the defrost are a little optimistic, but I have had little trouble defrosting with it. The “soften” feature is a nice touch for butter.
Efficiency is decent. 800W is a good power and when heating, food tends to get piping hot well before the stated time. Eco mode turns the LCD display off as well, which is nice.

The product is fine but i have to set it on 3 or more minutes to get my food heated which is too long. I set it on 3 mins today and the food was still cold. Might be returning in a few days. Will try it once or twice before making a final decisio

A nice color of the microwave for the kitchen, it is a decoration and a device that works without any problems. The price is adequate to the quality. I am satisfied and recommend it.
Sophisticated
We bought our old microwave at a bottom of the market price over twelve years ago. It suited us in that whilst fairly basic it met our requirements. This one has a larger capacity, as we wanted, and has various add on extras which I’m not sure we need. Also the instructions are minimal, which is a challenge for non technical oldies. I suspect we’ll sort it out. Meanwhile, it looks smooth and seems efficient.

Excellent microwave, very solid & good quality as always from Samsung. Great price, 89 as opposed to 149 in Curry’s. I particularly like how easy it is to use, preset menu, defrost & deodorising function! The blue ceramic interior is easy to clean and looks cool. Highly recommended.

He’s a very handsome microwave, I’ve named him Samson, after his father Samsung. He’s a really great listener, I feel like he understands me and helps me get through the hardship of everyday life. He spends most of his time chilling in the corner but when it’s time to heat things up, he is always ready.

Sleek looking microwave which works well. There are only two things which I am not very happy with.
1. It’s impossible to see the food being cooked since the door is not transparent
2. Controls are impossible to work with. If you need to cook something for say 14 minutes, you will need to press start button 28 times! there has got to be a better way to control and set cooking time
Looks great mediocre build quality
Bought this to replace a Sainsbury’s own brand microwave which was around 3 years old but still working fine. The new Samsung microwave is compact and looks fantastic. Sadly the build quality does not match the looks. The front door is made of plastic and I suspect the black finish of the door will become marked and scratched unless treated with extreme care. The oven cooks fine and is intuitive to set up. I’d like to comment on the defrost function but I’m unable too as I haven’t figured this out yet. The instruction “manual” is pretty dire and offers no help with the defrost function. To some up, looks great, mediocre build quality pathetic “manual”

Good machine - poor handbook
An excellent purchase. The on-line hand book is not so good, as directions for ‘quick defrost’, ‘autocook’ etc are not together on the same or adjoining page. In each case you are turning back and forth to follow the instructions. Will be OK when I get used to the machine, but will always be a con when doing something I don’t do often. Poor layout.

OK microwave
This microwave is ok. Although i did find that i have to put the heating time for longer as it doesn’t heat my food as hot as my last microwave. It is easy to clean and very nice looking. Note you cannot see inside the microwave but this is not a issue for me.
Door is not clear glass.
Quite stylish and easy to use but would be so much more useful if the door was clear instead of black so you could see the food cooking rather than having to keep opening the door. A case of style over substance and not designed with practicality in mind, hence the loss of a star.

It is a good Microwave it looks good and is ease to clean. The time setting arrange can be a bit difficult until you get use to it. It is good value for money. A quality product.
Does the job - nice large opening
Seems to do the job we wanted – our old microwave was standard size, but our steriliser wouldn’t fit in it easily. This one is big enough. The door is operated with a handle which has a good sturdy, positive action. A new function I like – it will continue to beep sporadically if you don’t remove the food after it’s finished. A good reminder.

Nice microwave, you can’t really see the food inside cooking as the glass is too dim/light is not bright enough. But realistically – after having it for 2 years, it hasn’t really bothered us

Some people in the reviews claim that the window is too dark and you cannot see the food inside so it overcooks. For me it’s not a problem to take it out and check after 30 seconds if it needs more cooking time. The window is definitely blackened for a purpose 😉 You can still see through it a bit. It’s easy to use and easy to set up the clock.

Just want I was looking for. Very smart microwave, lovely ceramic inside, easy to keep clean. I found it easy to use after a quick look at the instructions. Nice size not too cumbersome, looks fab in my kitchen, nice price too.
It works so fast, you can heat up your meal in few second compare to any other brand of microwave.

Bought to replace our Russell Hobbs microwave when the glass door randomly shattered after 2yrs. This microwave is great. 23L is a reasonable size and the defrost – soften/melt functions for the likes of butter is great and works really well. Worth the money in my opinion.
Not too heavy and compact. Stylish and Black looks good.
However, deep and spacious for large plates. Just that the functions are a bit challenging to understand. The ceramic non-greasy coating is easy to clean. The deodarisation function is perfect to take away all the curry odours.

Just the job
Once you become familiar with the controls it is easy to use. It is easy to keep clean, the Auto Cook is very good. The only down side is the very dark “window” glass makes it impossible to see the food going round. However this is no detriment to how it cooks food.
From opening the package i could tell straight away this was a good quality product.It is very sleek and stylish looking.It has plenty of functionality and is very speedy and cooks evenly throughout.The ceramic coating enables it to be cleaned very easily and the deodorization function swiftly removes any lingering odours.Since I have an eating disorder i have found this product has helped allay my fears regarding food and hygiene around it.Thankyou to samsung for these features,im hoping to start putting on weight again.
