This camera is located at the front of our house facing the drive. Living on a busy street it gives us extra security for our home and vehicle’s and with night vision and clear picture quality its a great little device.

I was unrealistically optimistic!
After being in regular contact with this supplier – over a period of a few weeks – concerning their offer to provide a free, updated version of the problematic camera, I received a replacement that did not work from the outset. After numerous attempts to re-negotiate my position, I am left with a camera that does not work.
So, the current position is this: this company cannot be trusted to honour its after-sales contract. In my view, any after-sales service is pivotal to creating a solid customer-base. In my view, it is best to avoid companies that do not provide a consistently-reliable after-sales service, especially one that was hyped as part of the initial sales pitch.
Battery faulty. Refund no problem plus compensation to travel to nearest PO many miles away to return goods.
Really impressed with product. Wasn’t sure if camera would work that well as wifi signal on phones not that strong in position where we wanted to put camera but it works really well with clear picture. Prompt delivery and good instructions came with product.

This is very easy to set up and install and does an excellent all round job. Is very sensitive to movement so even on the lowest settings it picks up trees moving so you need to consider carefully where to place it or risk endless alarms and use of the battery. However quality of filming is outstanding including night vision
Only downside is that it takes about 4 seconds for filming to start so sometimes can miss the movement that has been triggered.Again think carefully where to position to allow for this.
Is very easy to manage via Cloud Edge app and easy to see strength of wi-fi signal before choosing location.This works fine on about 50%. Also easy to see when needs recharging. Able to store/ delete images so no need to remove the installed SD card, which is a bonus being provided for you.
We use externally but would also be good for internal use as monitor for pets/children
All in all to be recommended

Great little security camera, easy to set up which is a blessing for me as not good with electronics. I got camera for my new puppy so I can keep extra eye out. I have found the BOIFUN camera very good. It was very easy to set up and install. The picture is excellent and the automatic alert system brilliant. It gives me the piece of mind that my house is being watched 24/7.
The battery life should last between 4-6 months, which is great and will alert me when it needs to be charged again.

I am very satisfied with this compact wireless video surveillance camera. We bought it to control our drive. It was very easy to set up with the app. The fact that it is battery powered was a reason for the choice as I didn’t want to drill through the wall. I only needed to screw three screws. Build.
Solid, robust and simple. Compared to other similar models this has a much deeper access port in the back which really helps to keep that rain out. From the back you can charge the camera via the port and access the SD card which comes FREE with the camera and is already inserted. (see description for further details.) You really don’t need to ever take this out as all footage can be accessed remotely via the App. Because of the size and weight of this model there is only one fixing option, which requires a few drill holes. Once the main section is in place you simply mount the camera with a large easy to use screw fixing. This is a good thing if you are having to recharge the camera rather than using a solar panel or hard wiring.
Set Up.
Before buying check your router is duel band, some cameras can only use the 2 band rather than the 5.
The camera uses the FREE Cloud Edge app, there are no catches here, you have the choice of buying into a cloud based server, but it is not really necessary unless you are a corporation. I can’t believe how easy it is to add a camera to this app it is seamless and takes seconds with no complex setups. Simply press add, pick the camera type and point the camera at the QR code on the screen. The camera beeps and it is done. Fantastic, I love technology when it works.
The App
There are too many settings to describe here, but the basics you need to know, for me anyway, was making sure I switched to HD on the camera. Simply press the image of the camera feed once, you will see the text SD appear on the bottom right, quickly press this and a drop menus appears with the HD choice. At the bottom of the screen are various icons to explore, 5 in all. Quickly press on the Motion detection icon and for me I set this to High with a 2 minute interval. You have the choice of detection of humans during the night and day, so that’s good if you want to capture robbers during the day and maybe some wild life like Owls and foxes during the night as well as robbers! The other interesting setting is the night vision setting. For me I actually prefer the day vision during the night as both my cameras, back and front, are in proximity to a street lamp. This camera has a very decent sensitive cmos, colours are exceptional and image quality is good. If your environment is pitch black, leave the camera on default, which automatically switches to night mode when the light fades. Explore the app, accessibility to recordings is clean and simple. If you find you need to download a certain triggered video, then you can play it and press the record button and it saves from the camera to your phone. There maybe another way to do this, but you only seem to get a download icon for the stills the camera produces at the beginning of the triggered camera action, and the end. Or simply buy into their cloud.
Summing up, good solid camera, no silly catches regarding accounts for feed access, the app is free and gives you 100% full access to what you need. I have other similar models installed and advise a solar panel connection, no fuss, and keeps the camera topped up in the darkest of winters, as proved by my other camera, it’s always at 100%
Price is great, and adding another camera takes seconds. I have two. The only real issue I have with these models is during very cold weather the camera lens on the outside can get caught out with rain droplets, dirt or snow. It is not a fault of the camera, they are fully waterproof, mount these close at hand and wipe that lens carefully, and regularly. Recommended!
This is a great security camera. I found it really easy to set-up with the Mobile App and actually I didn’t need to follow the manual. Took about 2 minutes to set-up.
It has a great quality camera and motion detection is better the other camera that I have and also provides a really clear night vision image quality.

The product is very solid, well-built and easy to install. Set-up with the app was easy after having done the same process with Boifun’s doorbell. I have it outside on my garage where the wifi signal is usually good, but the alerts don’t work if the signal strength drops too low.
The image in the day or at night is sharp and clear. Motion detection sensitivity can be set using the app on a scale from 1 to 10.
During the first week, the battery was draining very fast. I fed this back to Boifun and they were very quick to respond. After checking the serial number they advised that I needed to update the firmware – it was easy to do with their help. I have recharged the battery and it is now holding it’s charge really well. I have changed my review from a disappointed 3 to very satisfied 5.
The firmware update has also affected the sensitivity – I am no longer getting false alarms and in fact I have had to increase the detection sensitivity. This is very easy to do on the app, with a scale from one to ten.
When motion is detected, the video is stored to SD card. There is plenty of space on the card and when it is full the instructions say that it rewrites from the beginning. You can save any video that you want to keep in an album. I do not plan to use the cloud storage.
When I first got the camera I was surprised that their was no option for hardwiring (as with the Boifun doorbell), especially as the battery was draining quickly. This is no longer a problem though I still think it would be a good to be able to wire the camera in.
Finally, the tech support from Boifun has been superb – they are quick and eager to help. Genuinely interested in giving a good service.

The camera is very easy to install and setup. It comes with an adjustable head so you can angle to cover whatever area you want to cover. It then links to your wifi. You get a ping whenever it is activated. When you go into CloudEdge, the app that it uses, you can either look at a still image or play the section of video recorded. It comes with an SD card preinstalled. The battery lasts 100-180 days depending on how you set it up. The image quality is very good day and night. So far, well worth the cost.

I’ve bought boifun products before and found them to be reliable
The installation, depending on location, was easy and took less that half an hour. This includes the outside fitting as well as you can see from the pictures and video.
I was most pleased with the IR HD quality picture when it’s pitch black outside. The motion detector picks up everything in good detail. If I ever had intruders I would be confident that the images/video recorded by this unit would assist in their investigation. The still taken was in pitch black with no supplementary light.

Ready to use straight out of the box: battery was at 97%, and SD card was preinstalled. Very solid camera with a good back to secure it wherever you want. Screws and rawl plugs all included.
I already use the CloudEdge app so this camera literally took 20 seconds to install. The app talks you through adding the camera step by step, and the instructions included in the box are also very informative. The app is very simple to use.
We have the camera at the far end of our garden, which is actually quite a distance away from the WiFi, but it gives good coverage of what we want it to. WiFi signal states 45% but I haven’t had any issues with movement detection. The notifications are immediate on my phone.

Good quality fittings for screwing camera to house and great WiFi range. Ours sits at around 85% WiFi and we have very thick granite walls in our house.
Only slight downside is that we found the rain triggered the camera but have moved it to a more sheltered spot and it’s fine now.
I would 100% recommend this camera to anyone looking for a wireless system
I needed a wireless rechargeable camera to install on the front of my house, due to the thick walls and it being a rented property drilling holes for wires was not an option. To set up this camera it was just a case of screwing in three screws which were included in the pack (with raw plugs too). It was really easy to do and didn’t require a professional to come and install it like it would have if it was a wired camera. The mount the camera sits on is positionable so you can angle it to whatever position best suits you.
The image and video quality on the camera is excellent, it is crystal clear and even at night you can fully make out the images.
The camera looks great, it is small in size and doesn’t stand out or look bulky or ugly. The app to use the camera is free, and like the camera, very easy to set up. The motion sensed alerts are a great feature as is being able to view live footage. The Cameras SD Card and charging slot are encased with a rubber seal so there’s no need to worry about rain getting inside the camera. It has an exceptional battery life and when you need to it is quick to recharge.
Overall this is a very impressive camera, hassle free installation and super easy to use.
For me this was the best solution for my needs and I would Highly Recommended it!
