Easy to assemble and use. I find the handle on the heavy side because of collecting bin but my husband loves it. Collects well. Quick and easy to use compared to other similar brands I won’t mention!

I do like this cleaner, it works well and is easy to use once you get used to the configuration. I only docked a star because it is a bit heavy as the motor is at the top. I’ll get used to it and it my even help get rid of bingo wings!

I wanted a cordless to use for small cleaning tasks and I have had a dyson in the past but this was recommended by a few people. It’s really easy to use but a bit heavier than I thought it would be comparing to my last cordless. Suction is good and stands on its own when not in use. My only complaint is it doesn’t pick up very well along the edges.

Better than expected – we have four dogs, although only one sheds (he could shed for England, though) and we mostly keep them to the hard floor area of the house. It’s superb for the wood floors – the ability to go completely horizontal is such a boon for going under chairs, sofa, etc. Its performance on carpet was a revelation – on just-hoovered carpet, it still collected a lot of embedded hair and dust. The accessories are fantastic. Some reviews mentioned weight – I’m a large fella so don’t mind it, and it certainly isn’t heavy

It does what it says on the box. It’s comparatively light weight and cordless makes it easy to use. The two batteries are a must, as they will be needed if you use the boost suction a lot.

I’ve only given this four stars because I havn’t fully tested this yet. I hoovered yesterday with a different brand but broke it. On receipt of this model I tested it on the thick pile carpet already done yesterday and you could see the difference. Putting this together and using it the design seemed very well thought out. Its as light as you could expect. Most of the upper weight is the removable chargeable battery and better weight than many others. The flexibility of its structure is a gamechanger for me. I’m not sure why the model with the extra tool is cheaper than the one without. It comes with a lot of tools to figure out. It seemed to have plenty power for the brush tool and the suction.

I’ve always had a dyson, I bought my daughter in law a cordless shark for Xmas (she wanted one) I got curious, did a little research. My dyson gave up the ghost. So I bought this Hoover using the instalments option through Amazon. OMG I’m sorry this Hoover kicks Dysons out the park. It is so light weight fully assembled, I can carry it comfortably with one hand. Easy to charge (two batteries are so beneficial). The suction power on par with dyson. I’m converted…to be fair I went from Henry’s for years to Dysons and now I’m settled with Sharks.

Lighter than old Dyson dc10 I had, so much easyer to use, still picked more dust and dirt after used the Dyson before the shark was delivered, my only issue is where do I keep all the tools, a hanging wall system for tools might be a good idea.

    Very impressed on first use

Excellent vacuum especially for hard floors.
Heavier than my old Dyson & Miele but much more efficient. Pet hair brush worked well. Easy to change suction when moving from hard floor to carpet. Extra power pack was a boost when cleaning the whole house . Compact when stored. Definitely recommend this vacuum

This vacuum has changed the game for me, it gets even the finest dust (flour fine) out of carpets, simply amazing! its great that it comes with 2 batteries so when one has ran out you can easily swap it for another, and the cordless feature is so handy, it makes all the difference not having a long cord trailing behind you, or somehow getting in front and being sucked up the vacuum! the life span of each battery is quite good too, I can easily vacuum my whole house upstairs and downstairs on just 1 battery (for reference I have a medium sized 4 bed) which shows how good this vacuum is. The interchangeable heads are also useful, especially when doing the stairs, or high corners, the own downside of this vacuum is that I’ve found it a bit heavy to use when doing the whole house, so I have to keep swapping my arms when using it so they don’t start to ache, however id that’s more of a me problem with not being very strong haha! the more I use it, the more muscle I will build and eventually it won’t feel as heavy, however for the older generation who buy this, I would definitely recommend taking this into consideration, as I know for sure my nana wouldn’t have a chance with this vacuum, especially if you’re shorter too (5ft or less).

Amazing suction power. The battery lasts more than enough time to clean the whole house. It’s lightweight and easy to use to clean the stairs.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersYes, I think this is the vacuum I’ve been waiting for all my life. Sorry to get all excited about an inanimate object that sucks up up dirt (no, not my husband) but I am genuinely so pleased with this. I’ve been put off by the price till now but managed to get it for over 100 cheaper than elsewhere on Amazon for some reason.

Where do I start….It seems robust and well put together and came with lots of handy gadgets and a power charging cradle for the two batteries . A moron could put it together too..well this moron managed it no problems anyway. I’ve got Rheumatoid Arthritis and I haven’t found it hard to use the buttons to get the components apart. Also not having to keep your finger on the power button constantly is a bonus. It is slightly heavier than I thought it would be for a stick vacuum but it really isn’t a problem.

The suction is great, especially in boost mode. The battery seems to last for ages , well over 30 minutes even if mainly in boost mode. I actually found it difficult to run it down to zero as recommended the first time I used it.

I left my stairs without cleaning deliberately for a week and the first picture attached is the amount of filth the Shark picked up using the motorised pet tool attachment …yes , I know, disgusting. The second picture is the what the pet tool looked like immediately after cleaning up all that dirt and hair. Not a single hair wrapped around the blades or rollers. I just cannot believe it. I should say that I have long hair and my two black cats could shed hair for their country if it was an Olympic sport. So far , so good. I’ve only had it a little while but if anything happens to change my opinion, I’ll report back.

The battery’s do last quite a while but it’s the motorized head that really impresses me. It has two rotating brushes. The small brush right at the front of the head has soft bristles that move the dust into the path of the larger hard bristled brush. It works brilliantly. The suction is great but I don’t think it’s as powerful as a Dyson.

This is my first cordless vacuum cleaner and I love the ability to just switch on without finding a plug and having a cord trailing around, so it’s great for just grabbing to do little jobs.
The battery life seems to be good.
Most of the weight is in the top part of the vacuum cleaner, so can feel a little heavy after vacuuming for a while.
It is great at picking up long hair. The anti hair wrap hasn’t stopped the brushes getting hair around them (3 girls with very long hair) but I just cut along the hair on the brush and then it gets sucked up fine. It hasn’t tangled or stopped the motor running, so from that aspect it works.

I am happy with this product at the same time I am glad that I have 2 batteries. If any of you reading this review please make sure you make the right choice for number of batteries. Depending on the size of your house and usage you can decide this. I live in a 3 bed, ground +2 floor house. With a full charge battery I started from ground floor, then stairs to first floor and the first bed room, almost done 2nd bed room and battery was dead, if you are ok to recharge and finish cleaning later 1 battery is fine but someone like me who don’t want to finish half done I can just continue with my 2nd battery. Simple as that.

Easy to use and very efficient. Caution: do not leave standing before folding down. Once folded the device is perfectly balanced. When unfolded for basic use, the device will fall over if you let go of it. I have not had this problem because I recognised the possibility when first using the device. I am confident in recommending it and have, in fact, bought a second one for a family member, who is equally delighted with the full range of uses.

This is a useful vacum and having 2 batteries give you plenty of time to get the job done. I like the flexibility of the power. It’s not just on/off but hard floor/carpet and a powerful turbo. That flexibility allows you to save power on easy surfaces. I also like how easy it is to empty and that I don’t have to clean the filters every time I use it. I also like the cleaning power (for pet hair), the variety of accessories and that the batteries are separate from the unit and are charged separately from the unit.
The downsides are minor for me. It isn’t the lightest and having the battery and collection bin at the top can make it a little heavy on the arm. But overall I am happy with it and the quality of the materials used in its construction gives me confidence in its’ durability and as the batteries are separate I can replace them if they start to fail.

Whilst the suction and general use is excellent the points of concern are the anti hair wrap claim and the stair adaptor. The anti hair wrap – better than competitors – is still a concern. Our Border Collies hair still gets entangled. The stair adaptor is virtually useless – it is better using the main brush.

Whilst the Shark Vacuum is super easy to use and has great suction power, the anti-wrap technology does not work and it is a nightmare to remove the hair from within. The 80 minute battery time is more than sufficient to clean our three bedroom home.

The Shark is AMAZING. It’s not nearly as powerful as my previous hoover but it does the job fine, and without scaring the cat or the baby because its so quiet! I can hoover underneath the bed without bending down, I can hoover the table top after crafting without any hassle, I can wander round the house without changing the plugs, I can hoover with a bad back because it’s tiny! I am very pleased. Only downside is the short battery life, so I would recommend getting the dual battery. Also, my long hair was wrapped around the brush, but it was easy to remove and didn’t seem to effect the suction power. All in all I’m impressed. I’ll never want to go back to a heavy mains-powered machine again.

Brought to replace Dyson animal stick vacuum. It’s a much heavier machine, cross between stick & upright vac, mostly due to the floor tool. Despite been heavier, it’s a great machine. I have all hard floors & a few rugs. I had vac’d a few hours before this arrived. Gave this a quick wizz round after unpacking, was shocked at the amount of dust this collected. Plus the powered floor tool sorts of pulls it along so despite me finding it heavier to carry, it’s very easy to use, not tiring at all. Highly recommended

Looks good and works good! Actually, it works extremely well, the suction is great and the picking-up ability is great! The anti-hair wrap saves me having to dismantle the beater brush as I did every time with my Dyson (my wife has 60cm long hair!!). Many accessories and two batteries means I can do the whole house without stopping. I thought the headlights were a gimmick but they’re very useful. So glad we got this one!

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersOverall I am happy with my Shark cordless upright cleaner. It’s without doubt the most expensive cleaner I’ve ever purchased. i’m Seventy One so my review is based on me at that age which most people younger can probably discount. I have EXTREME PROBLEMS loosening the dust container. I have to dismantle the entire unit to prise off the door when its full with a small flat head screwdriver. it’s supposed to fall open when you slide the lever that undoes the catch but does not.. I’ve got to do the same in order to release the hand unit. Fortunately i purchased an excellent hand held Holife vacuum cleaner from Amazon a few years back for a fraction of the money this not so near perfect upright cleaner so I don’t have to bother separating the hand held unit from the main stem of the product but if I did not possess this Holiffe: today I would be extremely annoyed.

It also has the nasty habit of allowing excess cotton strands from clogging up the beater. Something that the manufacturers were most adamant it would be unable to do. At least when this happens because the main beater is permanently on display, I can stop using the machine while I untangle these threads but I had purposefully purchased this cleaner because the manufacturer had claimed I would not have to.

They say it”s lightweight. For me it is not and because of this I cannot move it when it’s in its folded storage position so for me I cannot keep it folded. The main cleaning head has the most annoying habit of not remaining in a static position when I’m moving it forward. It swivels in all directions which means that I have to use two hands to control it. Most annoying, I consider.

This cleaner was recommended to me. Probably it would make a grand addition to any young person’s household but I would not recommend anyone my age purchasing it.

I had thought about only giving TWO STARS but the cleaner is very good at picking up debris and all of my complaints probably wouldn’t exist if I was not a pensioner with little strength at my command so I’ve opted to only removing one star but when this cleaner does eventually go wrong (the Electrolux Cyclone which preceded it lasted me forty years), I will not replace it with another Shark cleaner.

Good at cleaning suction is great for picking up dog hairs and dirt, and light in weight, would go for two batteries again as the 40 min runtime could catch you out. With two batteries no problem. Highly recommend

Absolutely love this hoover, light, easy to use, suction good, not as powerful as my old Meile but the fact that you are not dragging a weighty machine behind you more than makes up for this. All the tools are great, my house has never been so hoovered

I have had this Shark cordless for a couple of weeks now and I am pleased with it. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, the suction is good and the tools do their jobs well. The dust pot holds more than I thought it would. I think that the two batteries are very useful. The anti hair wrap is a good addition and overall this is a very well made machine. I love the fact that it is very lightweight and also a lot quieter than I expected. I would certainly recommend and would purchase again if needed.

Excellent machine. Always on hand in kitchen. Folds down neatly into corner. Bought in addition to my corded Dyson, but now use this almost exclusively. Better than Dyson ball manoeuvrability! Light, easy to empty, slides under very low furniture. Brilliant flat duster brush for under radiators, and reverses to face down for shelves/ skirting/ windowsills etc. A little less suction than some other machines but more than adequate I’ve found. Best purchase this year! Highly recommend.

This is easily the best vacuum cleaner I have owned. It out performs anything I’ve used before, my carpets are brighter and it is able to reach into awkward corners and under furniture, I like the way it bends in the middle to reach low under tables etc. The anti-hair wrap really works, a bonus if someone in your household has long hair! Having two batteries is great and I like that the batteries charge remotely so the actual vacuum can be put away (it folds down really small for storage). It comes with plenty of attachments for extra cleaning tasks. My only comment is that it doesn’t come with a soft brush but the upholstery attachment is very effective. It is so easy to use that I find I am using it more frequently. The ‘headlights’ are great in dark corners.

Great little machine. My previous Vax had major problems with dog hair which left me clearing the head every few minutes. We have 2 great Danes and this copes very well indeed.
The only down side is the size of the dust bin, but it is a limitation I can live with.

I will admit I was a little bit dubious about this having had a Henry Hoover for the last 12 years I really didn’t see how this could be any better.
But my opinion has changed I have used the shark every day since delivery and I am very impressed with how it picks up all the dog hair! The little light on the front just makes me very happy !
    Money very well spent!

Unpacked and now used, I’ve heard a lot about the shark and have used many a Dyson which I am not impressed with. For literally half the price, this is a much better stick Hoover and has more power on suction and battery life. Only thing is its heavier. But if you don’t mind that then you are onto a winner.

Purchased this shark cordless, after receiving two recommendations. Nearly all of my house is tiles and hardwood, so thought it would be quick and easy. It’s a little bit tricky getting right into corners , one battery just does downstairs but all ways battery ready to change on the station, having two batteries is a must . I do like it, it’s not as powerful as I thought it would be but when I empty it it is very easy to deal with. Folds up and takes up no space very useful.

Have been using a different brand for years and assumed that the dog hair was just a permanent part of the rugs and carpet. Only had this for a short period but its amazing – picked up so much dog hair and given new life to the rugs. Pleased I got the battery version as its really easy to just carry around the house and use – not sure I really needed the two batteries as they seem to last fairly well but its good to have the backup.

I have been looking at the top of the line Dyson for ages and not wanting to really spend that much money – but also not wanting to get something cheaper and finding it didn’t work very well – so pleased I ended up getting this one.

I honestly didn’t expect the anti-hair wrap technology to work but it goes. I’m in a household with long hair and I was constantly cutting hair out of the brush with my old hoover. I’ve had this hoover for over a month now and there’s still no hair clogging the brush. I love the two batteries, and the fact you can charge the batteries separate from the main machine. Easy and neat storage because it folds down. If you’re on the fence, buy it, you won’t regret it.

I really like this machine. Easy to use, like the extra functionality of not having to bend to reach under couch areas, and it moves aournd very easily. It suctions well too. Only downside is it would be great to have a little bag to keep all the parts, and if it could stand at its tallest height that would make it excellent.

Bought this as a replacement for my Vax Blade2. The suction is so much better & the emptying much easier & less messy. I can vacuum under the sofas now withought having to bend down thank to the joint that bends. I love the fact it can stand up on its own too. I’m hopeful that I will get years of service from it. Easy to change heads & light enough for doing the stairs. Love it.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersWell worth the cost and much better than our heavy, plug in Dyson. We have an elderly dog who sheds hair everywhere and the Shark is my new best friend! Our carpets and hard tiled and parquet floors have never looked so good, and with such little effort.
The tools are quick and easy to fit and the two batteries mean we can clean the whole of our large house very thoroughly and at one go.
I would recommend anyone who can afford it to buy it. Our daughters have hand held Dysons and wish they’d bought a Shark instead now.

Replaces an old hand held of another make and it is much better,
The battery life seems good although not quite the 40min they say.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWho knew a vacuum cleaner could be so much fun?! I love it! Great range of attachments, easy to use and if you are a bit of a kid it feels like a Nerf gun!
I spent ages looking at different models and had been a bit worried it might not be powerful enough but was amazed how much it got out of our carpets (we have just moved into our self-catering flat that allowed pets and it got loads of hair out that was not even visible). The two batteries mean there is plenty of run time even on boost, and the range of attachments make it really versatile. The adaptation to allow vacuuming under low furniture is fantastic! Look no further!

After having a conventional upright plug in hoover this is a dream, light weight, no tripping over cables, supplied tools cater for most hoovering scenarios and 1 battery lasts long enough for medium size house. Only downsides are emptying the dust container can be a bit messy and there is no flexible hose option for this model. Would still recommend.

Positives. Sturdy build, fantastic pick up and suction power equivalent to many mains vacuums, easy to assemble and use, easy to empty, easy to change batteries (buy twin battery selection and you will never run out unless cleaning Buck House), also wonderful no tangle brush and as stated by previous reviewers this picks up right to the skirting boards and does not push items around but actually sucks them up. Negatives: A little heavier than some but that is due to quality build. All in all an excellent buy on initial experience and confidence regarding longevity enhanced by internet registration giving 5 year warranty. Now been using this since July. Absolutely brilliant and the no tangle anti hair roller is a fantastic innovation. Amazed this has not been used by so called top brands that cost twice as much!

Golden Review Award: 216 From Our UsersI’m impressed..

I didn’t expect to be if I’m honest, in fact I thought I’d be giving it a good kicking as it’d have to be pretty damn good to justify the price.

    Well it is.

There’s a ‘quick start’ guide included in the box, but it’s so obvious how the parts fit together that a child of five could do it (so fetch me a child of five, ). Every section of this feels beautifully ENGINEERED, the click to lock/unlock buttons are included on every part (including the attachments) and this is an important point: how often have you inserted a nozzle in a hose or extension that’s slightly narrower than the tube you’re placing it in and it’s fallen out – then you really shove it in tightly and you need to be built like Arnie to haul it out again. With this you just press the button and pull gently; bliss..

When switched on it’s surprising just how POWERFUL it feels – it was literally tugging at me like a dog who’s spotted his favourite lamp-post. One of the things you notice immediately is the bright led lights on the front which really illuminate the area in front of the head. When I were a lad, (and dinosaurs ruled the Earth) all vacuum cleaners had a light on the front (that was the other thing that terrified your pets) but I used to wonder why they were there as they never did anything much, but they’re particularly relevant on this beauty, because of the ‘Flexology’ feature – one press of the grey button halfway up the main wand transforms it in a way analogous to the human arm, enabling you to vacuum those normally inaccessible places such as under your bed or sofa – now I don’t know about you, but I’d be frankly embarrassed to admit how rarely I can be bothered to pull the bed all the way out to vac the area beneath, with this you can just reach all the way underneath, with the lower half of the wand horizontal, and the bright led’s scarily illustrating just how long it HAS been..

Transforming to handheld mode is an absolute breeze; one button press and a gentle pull (no tugging required) and there’s a comprehensive range of attachments, including tools for upholstery, crevices, dusting and a motorised pet tool amongst others and all of them have the same one-click gentle pull on/off fitting.

There’s a ‘Boost’ trigger on the underside of the handle which is completely intuitive to use which turbo-charges the unit when depressed. Even in full boost mode it’s quite quiet too.

The battery, like every other part of the machine, is easy to remove and I found it took 3 and a half hours to charge fully from completely discharged, and with the Duo model you’ve got an extra battery and a charging dock that’ll hold both, effectively doubling the usage time.

For storage, you use the same grey button you used to turn it into an under-bed dust terminator, you just flip it the other way (see pic), and when it’s folded up like this it occupies about the same space as a cylinder vac, which is a pretty neat trick.

In summary, this is an awesome piece of kit – a well-engineered, totally transformable, complete home cleaning tool,

    Recommended.

    Shark and awe..
