I was surprised to find how good the suction is. Also the pet hair tool is excellent, as is the car kit.

Loved the design, getting used to all the buttons to take apart as not had a Shark before.
Couldn’t believe the suction power and love the extra car kit hose and nozzles.
Fantastic for me on stairs as can unclipped the tank from main hoover so much lighter and easy to use on stairs! Pet hair comes up well with this hoover and a very long lead helps tremendously! Easy to use, easy to empty and the suction is excellent especially on our beagle / poodle Cross dog who molts a lot!
Worth every penny
I know this is not the most affordable hoover in the world, I actually asked for it as a Christmas gift! And I’m so glad I did. I really struggle with cat hair having a long haired cat and this hoover is the only one I’ve ever used that actually picks it all up from the carpets! The suction power is amazing. The cord sometimes gets in the way but I wouldn’t change it because its so long you don’t have to keep unplugging the hoover to move around the house. This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had. I was recommended by my carpet fitters to get an upright vacuum cleaner as they are good for brushing up the pile on carpets.
The suction is fantastic and even though new, I can’t believe how much dust comes out of the carpets and it brushes up the pile beautifully.
Lots of attachments and a fairly long lead. I like the lights on the front and flexibility of the vacuum itself.

Best hoover we've had
Having reached that age where getting a new hoover is the best thing ever, I can honestly say this is the best hoover we’ve ever had.
Previously I thought the whole Shark hype was just a fad, but after getting frustrated about the lack of suction on our old cordless Black & Decker hoover and the bulkiness of our Henry hoover we decided to give Shark a go whilst it was Black Friday. Absolutely thrilled with it.
It is a little heavy in comparison to our old one, but so much more powerful. We were a little disgusted at the results of the first hoover! We were amazed at how much it collected despite us hoovering daily with the cordless hoover and going over it once a week with Henry.
The way you can take it apart for various jobs makes it even better.
We got the car care kit with it at the time which is fab and gets into all the crevasses and hard to reach areas.
The cord has a long length and reaches where we need it to. We had read alot of mixed reviews on the cordless ones and having a cord didn’t bother us so decided to go with this over the cordless.

First shark hoover and I’m not disappointed. Suction is amazing and nearly pulls the carpet up! Great for dog hair but slightly worrying how much it picks up in comparison to last hoover. Came with extra accessory’s for car which husband has used and worked well. Only thing I don’t like is the cord is a bit in the way and the bit that fastens it in keeps coming out.

Impressive so far – in comparison to Dyson & Henry – The Shark seems to be so much better – A stronger feel and a superior “suction” – So far, very pleased with it’s results.
Slightly over hyped
Having owned a few Dysons and of late a Vax I needed a swift replacement and Shark kept popping up. The vac itself is a little cumbersome and weighty but the weight isn’t so bad. Suction is good which you would expect from a new vac and only time will tell with this. I do find it a little ‘faffy’ when using the hose and everything doesn’t just slide back into place when you are putting it back together. I do feel that things could easily break. That said it is a decent vac.
I am annoyed that the flexible hose has a cheap little connector to hold it to the main vac and it doesn’t stay in place so it is constantly flapping about at the back of the vac. I think if you are paying that amount of money for a product it needs to be right. I am glad I didn’t pay the full retail price as it would have gone straight back to the seller!

Best hoover eve
Always had dysons but this has blown them out the water.
Great suction, easy to use, the lift away function means you can get under beds and tight spaces and the the lights let you see every spek of dust. It’s not noisy for the pets ( cats, & dogs) and manages pet hair with ease. The no tangle function seems to be working a treat.
The cord is long and not a problem.
It makes stairs easy with the lift away function.
I would definitely give this 5 stars and recommend. Sorry Dyson I won’t be back !
Brilliant for pets
We bought this after having a Dyson Animal V10. Our Border Collie was shedding everywhere and the Dyson just didn’t cut it. This is fantastic, especially with the pet attachment. The settings for Hard Floor / Carpet are really good too, along with the adjustable suction. This is particular was useful for us as we have a deep pile carpet, so being able to adjust the suction meant we could still push the hoover around without compromising on the clean. There is a car detailing kit which was included and is for very fine spaces, best car kit I have used. Very easy to use and attachments are of a good quality. Would recommend for sure.

I’ve been using a Dyson DC33 for the last 12 years, it’s still going strong, I sold it on Gumtree. Technology has moved on in that time and this vacuum is fantastic. Lovely design, everything slots together so well, the design is really good. Adjustable suction is a must for different surfaces. Liftaway is good with the powered brush head on, I haven’t found any fault as yet. It’s a pleasure to use.

Did a lot of research beforehand as it’s a lot of money to spend, this Shark vacuum cleaner repeatedly came out as the best and have been using it now for several months and I have to say extremely satisfied with it, it’s fairly quiet, extremely well designed, they’ve thought of everything. It works really well, can’t fault it at all and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

it’s good thats for sure and has great power, the brush seems to not taglew hair like many others have so thats a good start.
it’s easy to use and accsesuries are good too.
the filter is a really easy to get at which is handy as these are things that need cleaning often with any brand and lift away is handy but not sothing i would need to much my self.
the only thing i would say for maybe someone who is smaller is that it is not light and has a heavy feel to it when in use (exspecaily on carpets) it may not be an issue for me but if you are thinking about getting one just heads up.

Have been debating getting a new cleaner for ages, but so many varieties it was hard to choose ! I didnt want to pay a ridiculous price for a cordless machine so happy to try this. All manufacturers claim their machines are light and easy to use, none of them actually are ! This is fairly heavy and a bit hard to manouvre. Suction is excellent and the liftaway facility means it is really versatile. I have four dogs and the vacumn is excellent at removing hair, but the anti hair wrap isnt quite as good as cracked up to be, so I will still have to remove trapped hair. But for the price, this is a really good buy and the suction is very powerful. Would recommend.

A little heavy but a really good cleaner and the lights and no tangle brush are excellent. Very pleased with the purchase.

The only draw back is on thick pile carpets it can feel like hard work to push it about certainly if you have a good few to do. Normal carpet less pile great. However that does not take away from the fact it still does a good job.

They should have called this vacuum cleaner a “Transformer” as it “morfs” into many shapes to get into those hard to reach places, I am very happy with it’s performance, build and it’s easy of use.

I have two golden retrievers,they shed like crazy! This is my 2nd shark and this one is far superior to the last,love the lift off function to get under the sofa without having to pull it out. If you have pets,long hair and children this hoover holds up to it all,you won’t be disappointed!

Would of preferred a larger dirt collection bin as this vacuum cleaner definitely picks up more dirt than my previous Dyson. Annoyingly the clip around the hose keeps coming off when using so hose flaps a bit but other than that it is great. Good manoeuvrability for an upright.
Really versatile and well designed vacuum.
I used to use Dyson vacuums for years but now I have Stenosis of the Spine (and my Dysons are pretty old now), needed something that wasn’t so heavy or awkward to move especially taking upstairs but with good suction (I have a cat too). After doing hours of on line research and watching you tube videos, I decided on this Shark vacuum.
I’ve only used it a few times but very impressed with how easy it was to assemble and to take it apart and click together etc to do different types of cleaning, emptying etc. What I especially liked was being able to lift off the middle bit which make it much easier to do the stairs, add attachments and if I wanted too, I could take the machine upstairs in 2 parts if need be, so really light and not as cumbersome as my old dyson. The price was good and with a 5 year guarantee too. The only reason I gave it 4 star and not 5, is that it does require a bit of work pushing when vacuuming carpets on high suction. Then again it’s so easy to adjust the suction of it too. For the price, I think it’s a solid bit of kit, easy to maintain and definitely recommend.

The lift away function along with the long cord means I can clean my whole staircase in one go.
With laminate and rugs and carpet it is so easy to flick functions between hard floors and carpet.
I’ve got hoover lines on carpets I’ve never had hoover lines on before. It is bringing the pile back up on my short pile rug that other hoovers haven’t touched.
I was shocked at the deep down dirt and dust that was picked up the first time I used the shark.
Have checked the rollers today after using for a couple of weeks and no hairs stuck so the anti hair wrap technology works.
Can’t fault. Highly recommend.
Very nice but heavy
Very powerful and shocked how much it picked up especially after I recently vacuumed. Looks and feels good but I was extremely tired after just vacuuming downstairs. My wife used it for a few minutes and give up as she prefers cylinder vacuums and found this to be too heavy on her wrist. I will keep it as it did a great job.
Excellent hoover - a little heavy.
Love this hoover. Ideal for carpets and laminate. Great attachment for stairs and the lift away and handle removal makes it ideal for all areas of the house. The hoover is a little heavy wen on carpet but not too heavy that it’s not useable.

Cannot fault the quality of this product, however the hose clip on the ‘wand’ has insufficient holding power and becomes unfastened too readily which is slightly annoying. The unit is heavier, and less manoeuvrable than our previous Dyson, but at the purchase price is acceptable.
Shark anti tangle still allows longer hair to tangle
Very happy with my new shark, longer hair’s still get tangled in the brushes and are inclined to do a bit of damage to the silicone.
Best Vacuum we have ever owned
We have had every conceivable Dyson Vacuum over the years but when are latest Animal version gave up the ghost we decided to try this Shark. Wow what an incredibly well thought out machine. It performs better than anything we have had before and is so versatile. I don’t know why there is not more noise about this company.
It is quiet, so powerful and makes very short work of our house, which has two big hairy dogs and two big hairy boys.
Highly recommended. By the way i don’t normally write reviews but I was moved to on this occasion.
Good quality
After 10y using a well renowned brand the lack of choice of upright corded vacuums and cost of their products made me look for a better alternative. I’m pleased I switched to Shark – easy to set up, efficient, cleaned my deep pile carpet well and so easy to switch between different modes. The cord is much longer than my old vacuum so not having to change sockets as much. Although the whole unit is heavier to lift its a lot easier to push around especially on the deep pile carpet. The lift away mechanism is easy to use and means it’s even lighter to push around. Very pleased with how effective this vacuum is for the price compared to other premium products. The only downside is the lift away section when standing alone can topple over if you move too far but this is a minor issue for me.

We have just purchased this vacuum and what can I say it’s fabulous fantastic brilliant it does what it says in the advert. We have a very long hair dog, and the hair does not around the rollers unlike our other vacuums. It glides across the floor with ease . Love the head lights and colour. Easy to put together , would recommend.
The best vacuum cleaner I've ever had
This is just fantastic. Excellent quality, as good as if not better than a Dyson.
The suction is so great you can feel it drag as you push the upright head around the floor. It lifted the downtrodden pile on several of our carpets and I could not believe the amount of dust and dirt it sucked up, dirt and dust we couldn’t even see was there in out carpets.
The lift of function is also fantastic and adds a versatile addition to this well made vacuum cleaner.
Thoroughly recommended.
Does what it says...
This Shark Liftaway/Pet/Anti Hair wrap is performing well. Spend much less time untangling hair from roller, which seems to work well. This model is not as wide as my first Shark, which is a bonus in smaller rooms and areas. The Hard Floor/Carpet switch on handle is much better, and easy to operate between floor surfaces.
Easy empty of contents from cylinder.
This Shark gets 9.5 from me out of 10, and only because of one slight niggle is the light doesn’t stay on when you remove wand from slot. This really could do with being on as was handy for lighting dark floor areas and crevices for dust etc.

Fantastic machine
Picks up fine dust along with copious amounts of dog hair no problem. Stair carpet has never looked so clean! Much much better than my previous Dyson hoover p, which I thought was good until this Shark. Happy customer here

The hoover is extremely powerful with great suction. It has lights at the front the make it easier to see in darkened areas of the house. My carpets have never been as clean. It amazes me how much dust gathers each time I hoover..(this is at least 3 times a week, we have a golden retriever) . It is great for animal hair .
The only down side to this hoover is that it is quite heavy and awkward to manover at times. Overall a great purchase.

Hoovered right through our home with our dyson vacuum on a Monday (shark already ordered) as the dyson works but bits are broken off and it screams all the time, shark arrived Wednesday, hoovered right through again and OMG! The hairs and dirt that the dyson wouldn’t pick up unreal!

Fab Vac
The first thing to note is the amazing suction. I’ve previously had Dysons but now I’m coverted. The different separation options are great. Love doing the stairs now which are so much easier with the lift away option. Only cons are hose clip doesn’t work, the 2 in 1 duster crevice tool is not as good as the Dyson one and the brush part doesn’t stay put and it’s slightly heavier than I thought (but it’s still very maneuverable). All round a really good purchase and lives up to the great reviews.
Super Vac
Wow the suction on this Shark Vac is tremendous. I have been 3 years in my new place and used a well known brand cleaner. The old cleaner worked ok but on plugging in and operating the new Shark I noted straight away that carpet fluff was being sucked up from the carpet. This has finished being drawn up with the older one. So easy to move with a light on front to enable you to see into dark corners. Recommended to me by my daughter and I am so pleased I took her advice.

Absolutely love this product. It’s got a slightly narrower hoover head than my previous shark hoover but is fantastic. The narrower head allows me to get to places I couldn’t before. I love the hair wrap free function and it also comes with the same hair wrap free adaptor for the stairs. The additional car accessories pack is excellent. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering it.
A little bit too heavy for me
Update: The cleaner certainly does its job well but being a 72 yr old woman who is a measly 7st weakling I am finding it increasingly heavy & difficult to manoeuvre. I am therefore not inclined to use it as much as I should when taking into consideration I have 4 cats & 1 dog to clean up after! Hopefully Shark will come up with a newer model with less weight & more manoeuvrability

I am finding the cleaner quite clumsy to deal This cleaner is excellent at its job but rather too heavy for me. I also find it a little ‘unstable’ as it is not inclined to standing up on its own. Certainly not the easiest machine to work with but excellent at its job.
Great customer service
The shark vacuum cleaner was a replacement for an identical cleaner that was coming up to be a year old. The previous vacuum was faulty and I first reported this to Amazon who put me in contact with Shark Customer Services directly. They diagnosed the fault over the phone but didn’t have the right part so I had to go back to Amazon for a replacement. To cut a long story short I had to get both Shark and Amazon on the phone at the same time to get both to agree that I should have a replacement. Anyway all good now.

Great suction powe
I’ve bought quite a few vacuums and this is by far the best. Great suction and good for dog hair. The only criticism I have is that it’s hard to use under the couch and around corners.

I deliberated over spending this much money on a vacuum cleaner, but am so glad I did. It sucks up dirt and hair so effectively that my house no longer has an undertone of whiff of dog. It’s not the lightest cleaner, and the dust canister could have more capacity, but…it does an outstanding job. It also has a good range of tools for getting into corners, crevasses and suctioning upholstery. Highly recommend.

I love this hoover, I don’t think there is anything not to love.. I was quite shocked how many times I filled the cylinder thinking I had clean carpets,but apparently not.. having a dog this has been amazing. It is easy to push and has lifted the pile on all carpets. I have wood flooring downstairs and switching from carpet to hard floor is easy. It also has a really long lead so I don’t have to keep re plugging every two seconds.the lift away is really simple, push one button and off it comes.Only thing I would say is buy spare filters as they get dirty quite quickly, the filters i put in washing machine to clean. I also got the car detailing kit and the attachments are so small but there perfect for getting down the side of seats and hard to reach bits in car. All in all this is a great hoover.. ( the dogs not so sure of the lights though )
How to do twice as much in the same amount of time!
The first thing that impressed me was the packaging, there is literally one wire tie and a plug protector cap that isn’t biodegradable. All the rest of the packaging is paper based and incredibly strong.
Instructions are clear for the most part and use of the Shark is incredibly intuitive. It’s like someone who regularly vacuums has designed a vacuum, rather than someone who watches them being used. My only complaint is that I can’t park the pet tool on the body as well as the others. Suction is fantastic and hair honestly didn’t wrap (which is going some given how long MoonChild’s hair is!). It’s quiet enough that I have to remove my idiot cat from being in the way when I do his cat tree. Oh yeah, that’s another fantastic thing, the way the Shark breaks down distributes the weight beautifully. This means I can do the stairs and the cat tree without having a sternum. Omg! Finally something that’s light AND powerful that I can use comfortably post heart surgery! The one thing I didn’t see the point of were the lights until I used it to do my landing and realised how crap the light is there. And I felt really smug that I didn’t need to turn round and do it again from the other direction. The suction is consistent and the hard floor mode is great too. I can achieve so much more in the same amount of time it’s impressive.
Definitely a good purchase so far. It’s even forgiven a surprise alen key (stopped and removed at first clatter, obviously)
How to do twice as much in the same amount of time!
The first thing that impressed me was the packaging, there is literally one wire tie and a plug protector cap that isn’t biodegradable. All the rest of the packaging is paper based and incredibly strong.
Instructions are clear for the most part and use of the Shark is incredibly intuitive. It’s like someone who regularly vacuums has designed a vacuum, rather than someone who watches them being used. My only complaint is that I can’t park the pet tool on the body as well as the others. Suction is fantastic and hair honestly didn’t wrap (which is going some given how long MoonChild’s hair is!). It’s quiet enough that I have to remove my idiot cat from being in the way when I do his cat tree. Replacement for Dyso
Required a floor cleaner to pick up dog hairs, daughters and wife’s hairs with combing.
As this shark had hair remover on head. The cord is a few metres longer and not had to untangle hair from head since gotten so already a lot better. Able to do stairs better as separates and makes it lighter.
Only bit is the collecting box is small so emptying more often but that is only a very small burden but is easily to consider with the other plus points.
Purs my old Dyson to shame
Good hoover really good suction puts my Dyson to shame. All in all pleased with purchase. Only negative thing is the clip that keeps hose in place is very weak and keeps coming away from handle. But this shouldn’t put you off.
A great replacements for the Dyson Animal
It just works and does everything you need really well. I actually prefer it to the Dyson Animal which is now up for sale

Fantastic vacuum cleane
This is a wonderful price of equipment, I’ve always had Dyson but this beats the new versions hand down.
I love that it splits do you can use it to easily get cob webs and do the stairs etc, incredible suction. Light weight, I find it handles well on both hard floors and rugs.
The dust compartment is small by comparison but the other benefits out weigh that in my opinion, plus it’s small as it splits so it’s for good reason.
I highly recommend it. My house is much cleaner especially rugs!

It’s so sucking good
Fantastic purchase. Can’t see myself going back to a Dyson now. The suction power if first class and very easy to do the stairs etc with the detachable body. Only grumble is the mains cord length.
Best Hoover Ever!
Love love love my new hoover. Love it because I can adjust the suction as I move from carpet to hard floors. Love the light that lets you see dust in nooks that has likely been there for years. Love the price as it was an Amazon prime deal.
I have long hair and two long haired chihuahuas so we ‘cast’ a lot. Hoover brushes often get tangled. So much so that my Dyson needs cleaned regularly. Shark is definitely better at picking up hair and transferring it, via the brush, into the dust cylinder. It’s not perfect, and I still have had to pull some hair out of the brush every now and again, but no where near as much as with other hoovers I’ve had.
Good value for money!
Very good suction power, a bit hard to manuver on the stairs and a bit on the heavy side. Not as noisy as the conventional vacuum cleaner and you can actually hear the other person talking to you whyle you vacuum

Does everything that was promised
After years of having another well known hoover that I thought was great, I passed it on to my grandson and bought this shark hoover. I’m so pleased I did as it is far superior, didn’t realise how much dirt had been left in my carpets until I used this.
I haven’t tried the car attachment yet, but if the rest is anything to go by I’m sure it’ll be just fine.
Super suction and value for money.
Was on special offer 189 for corded anti hair wrap pet kit and lift away. Far better than Dyson. Lift away means better posture using wand on stairs and up high. Amazing anti hair wrap feature as I shed long hair ALL the time.
Manoeuvres easily. Easy empty and filter cleaning. No consumables. Long mains cord. Love it. Recommended round the family and others love it too.

I made the right choice buying this product. Complete with a full tool kit this easy to use, powerful vacuum cleaner cleans our wooden floors and carpets with considerable ease. I got my Shark to replace my Dyson which I had had 20+ years and. couldn’t get the model Dyson I wanted. I am delighted with the resulting cleaning of my Shark and would recommend it to anyone.
Crazy suction powe
I’d heard shark vacuums were good, i just didn’t expect it to be this good, it’s so powerful it’s hard to push at full power because of the suction strength, great for people with pets.

I’ve used a Dyson for the past 15 years, I read a lot of positive reviews about the Shark. I have to say it’s all been true for me. Fantastic suction, love the adaptive system that comes apart. Light on the front a great addition for corners and objects. It is also heavy, the same as my animal D50 Dyson but that’s not an issue for me, it’s also light when taken apart to use in sections.
Brilliant vacuum
It’s a great bit of kit, makes the job of hoovering a pleasure, easy to use of the stairs and the attachments are really handy and stored on the machine. Very light and easy to manoeuvre. Easy to change from carpet to hard floor and everything is easy to change. Only down side is the dirt tank isn’t very big but can cope as the rest is really good

Utterly brilliant!
Upgraded to this Shark after having a Henry Hoover for the past 20 odd years. Utterly amazed at how much cat fur, sand, and general dirt that it pulled out of my living room carpet, the day after I’d hoovered it with Henry! Very very happy with this.
