The powerful and effective Silverstorm Electric Breaker from Silverline, with its impact rate of 1900 blows per minute, makes light work of tacking brick, block, asphalt and concrete.
The 360 degree rotational side handle and standard rear trigger handle contribute to a solid grip for a safe and ergonomic working position. Each one has a soft-grip finish for improved control and comfort and to help reduce vibration. The electric breaker is quick and easy to set up and accepts standard 1-1/8 inch (29 mm) steels, which are secured in position by a sprung-pin mechanism.
Working off a standard 230 V input, this rugged electric breaker is easy to handle and set up and delivers an effective 1500 W chiselling action, making it ideal for medium-sized demolition work. It is particularly useful in tight areas that are inaccessible to a compressor, thanks to its compact size.
In some situations, you may want to power your machine off a construction site generator or transformer. This is generally possible, although you must ensure that the rating of the power source is at least double the rating of this machine and that the supplied power is of compatible voltage and frequency.
The Silverstorm Electric Breaker is supplied with 1 x flat chisel (30 x 410 mm), 1 x point chisel (30 x 410 mm), 2 x hex keys, 1 x spanner, 1 x oil bottle, 2 x replacement carbon brushes and a robust steel carry case.
Compatible with all 1-1/8 inch (29 mm) chisels and points, like Silverline 868735 or 633765.

Heavy and old school but a real time saver.
Got this to help with chiseling away at the footings from an old retaining wall about 17m long. I started manually with a mallet and chisel and it tool me an hour to do 1m. With this I finished the other 16m in a morning. One thing you do need to know is it needs oil. It specifies 20W50 which is old school as most modern cars run on 10W or 5W so you will have to buy some specially. However 1l bottle should last a while. I filled mine up once for my job. It is really heavy so you won’t be using it in any direction except down. Fortunately the case has wheels which makes it a lot easier to move around. The motor is an old technology brushed type and you are supplied with spare brushes. I recommend ear defenders and safety glasses. The weight minimises the vibration feeding back into your hands so it is a breeze to use. It comes with a blade and a pointed chisel bit so that should be plenty to get you started. No earth lead, which I did find surprising for a tool you use outdoors, but it is double insulated. I checked to see if an RCD plug will work and apparently as it checks to see if live and neutral are in balance that should not be a problem as it will still trip out correctly. I did have to send my first one back as it arrived damaged but Amazon sorted it all out within 24 hours and the second one was in perfect conditio

Heavy tool but well balanced. Only recently purchased so little use to date. Good case. Had to top up with a little motor oil. Instructions good. No oil leaks. Well made. Would recommend.

Bought for taking up crazy paving that was meant to stay down forever!
This made the job so much easier. It’s heavy but once in place that weight does the work for you. Not too noisy either although ear defenders and eye protection are recommended of course. The bits included are strong and easy to change and the storage case has wheels so all in all a nice piece of kit.

Invece il martello picchia duro e sbriciola senza problemi anche la roccia. L’attacco e le punte sembrano solidi e bisogna solo avere riguardo di verificare il livello dell’olio prima dell’utilizzo. Molto soddisfatto.

Don’t often write reviews but had to with this. Fantastic value for money would of cost me more to hire one for the duration I’m needing a breaker for. Used it for the first yesterday and it made light work of very thick concrete. Can’t comment on reliability but it has met my needs for sure.
So you have to be THOR to use this horizontally. “I am the God of Thunder”…..!!!! Don’t do it though.

It’s a great bit of kit and has revolutionised my work around the garden and home.
Don’t order the two recommended chisels by Amazon they don’t fit. Girth is everything so check your girth before diving in head first into ordering new chisels. Great bit of kit though.

10/10 would smash concrete again!
This broke a 2ft cube of concrete (around a 3″ fence post!) Into pieces small enough to roll away in about 5 minutes.
I love it!
It’s reassuringly heavy and needs either it’s own weight or (if hammering at an angle) to be driven by you. Use with care. Wiggle it if it gets a little stuck.
The impact force this is capable of is 45 joules compared to the 2-8j you get from SDS hammer drills in chisel mode so if your job is too big for an SDS then this will do it.
Save yourself time and have fun.
Oh and get ear protection!!!

Esta mquina pica granito compacto. No tiene la alegra de una mquina profesional, pero lo pica. En las instrucciones pone cmo y cundo cambiar el aceite y da una idea de cmo trabajar con l. Pone 3h al da. Lo voy a respetar. Porque me he cargado mquinas por exigirles demasiado.
I used this today for the first time on an old concrete path , in places it was over four inches thick , i found it took longer to break if you just plunged in to the middle of a piece , it was quicker to crack and break if you started nearer the edge but that’s purely my technique , no need to force it just let the weight of the breaker do the job .
The carrying case has wheels which i found invaluable as it’s far too heavy to actually carry far , go online to register for the three year warranty , only drawback with that would be having to post it back to the importer in Devon i believe to claim but hey ho .
For the cost of a few days hire you might as well get this and you won’t regret i

It was used to extract a gate post set in concrete , and worked really well.
I had to replace a broken concrete post that had previous been located close to an old wall foundation. There was no way the old concrete ball round the base of the post was coming out without removing a bit of the wall foundation.
Decided to buy one of these and it breezed through it. Very impressed

This breaker arrived this afternoon and I put it straight to use to remove two broken fence posts. It broke through the cement and bricks easily using its own weight, so most of my effort was supporting the weight of the beast. I highly recommend a bodybuilding belt to protect your back.
I was worried when I ordered that it would be sub standard compared to the ones I’ve hired in the past. But as soon as I opened the box I knew this is a heavy duty piece of kit – on a par or even slightly better than the ones I’ve hired before.
It’s a really nice huge breaker and the pointed chisel I used is large and breaks the concrete into little pieces. The case also has wheels on it! I highly recommend it. Every man should have one of these 😉

j,ai achet ce marteau pour faire une tranche dans du bton costaud ,j,ai reu le colis 3 jours aprs la commande donc super et bonne surprise le marteau tais dans un coffret plastic bien costaud avec 2 petite roulettes pour le transporter comme un cadi , gnial .pas de bosse la livraison impeccable garanti 3 ans.Pour le travail je suis bluff avec la force de ce marteau vraiment top,vraiment inutile de prendre plus puissant et plus lourd

Recently purchased rather than hire a breaker and don’t regret the decision one bit, been using to break out a concrete strip about 8″ thick and the performance was excellent. It is very heavy and when it was first delivered I thought I was going to struggle to handle it but once assembled and in use I found it reasonably manageable, just let the weight of the machine do the work – there is surprisingly little jarring through the handle and even the noise isn’t too bad. If you have concrete breaking to do and are torn between buying or hiring just buy this tool and do the work at your own leisure you won’t regret it.
Just looking for some more concrete to have a go at!

Je viens de m’en servir, pas trs lourd, frappe fort, le bton est moins fier lol. Auparavant, je me servais d’un perforateur mais j’ai vite investi dans ce produit. Mopins de fatigue et moins de perte de temps.
Je recommande, par contre, il est quip d’une prise anglaise et donc oblig d’acheter un adaptateur que j’ai galement trouv sur ce site.

Ho usato il martello per tre giorni, e leggendo le recensioni dei martelli delle altre marche mi son procurato un chilo di olio (15W40) per rimpinguarlo nel caso finisse.
L’attrezzo arrivato gi pronto, il livello dell’olio sempre rimasto stabile a met del vetro di check, le punte sono indeformabili e demoliscono tutto.
Avevo paura per le vibrazioni, ed invece non sono devastanti, anzi…
Gran bell’attrezzo, consiglio vivamente a tutte le persone che han bisogno di demolire qualsiasi struttura cementizia.

My fencing guy wanted 150 to replace one fence post. I bought this and did it myself. If you have a bad back it might not be such a good idea as it is heavy (the weight helps it crack the concrete) but it’s serious kit and I think good value for money if you are a DIY sort like me.
I have another five wooden fence posts which will probably rot soon or break in the gales so for me it will see service soon enough and save me money on fencing guys.

Really useful tool, I got it to break up a old conservatory base an it’s handling it absolutely fine. Abit of advice before jumping straight in stand it upright an let it idle for a couple minutes for it to warm up an circulate the oil. It may have a little left over from testing but as I found out it it got stuck an wouldn’t hammer to release itself.other than that little hiccup it’s worked great an makes for an easy job. Definitely recommend using vibration reducing gloves!!

Very heavy to use horizontally, but it made light work of a garden wall that I needed to remove. A two inch thick concrete base was also broken up easily.

One of my better buys. It is heavy – 16kg without the bit – noisy, tiring but works wonderfully. I have used equally powerful sds hammer drills but they are not a patch on this machine when it comes to breaking – they break! Used it virtually every day since I got it a month ago and it is a beaut. The instructions for use are in tiny writing and not wonderful, the handle has bent by being wrenched about, but it is still wonderful. The drill is beautifully balance around the bottom handle for carrying. This is the first hand tool which comes in a plastic tool case with roller wheels! A nice touch. If you want to break concrete or rock – this is the tool.

Martillo muy potente, de robusta construccin y fcil manejo, a pesar de su peso. Muy recomendable para roturar pavimento o piedra.
Oil level low
Only comment so far is oil level was quite low, so had to buy correct oil. It sure is heavy, but of course it has to be. Note Silverline 794322 Kango K9 Wide Chisel 75 x 300mm from Amazon is wrong diameter.

Rapport qualit prix trs bon.Sauf pour le burin plat fourni, la pointe s’est brise aprs 2 jours de travail.
Dommage que l’huile n’est pas fournie dans sa boite.
Il faut de bon bras pour l’utiliser, a frappe fort, mais bon, c’est ce qu’on lui demande aussi.

Article trs bon march mais bien puissant. Je casse actuellement une dalle en bton arm, de 1,50 m2.
Deux forets sds fournis, assez robustes (j’ai mouss le pic suite une mauvaise utilisation).
La burette d’huile, un jeu de charbons, et la clef du rservoir d’huile sont fournies.
Le marteau est lourd, mais cela ne se ressent pas s’il est utilis l’horizontale.
Seuls bmols futiles : Les attaches du coffret sont lgres et le manuel peu dtaill.
Et effectivement un adaptateur de prise anglaise est requis (cote moins de 2 euros si l’on Chine bien).

I have used this bit of kit many times and it has never let me down. A life saver on many occasions. Comes in metal box. Easy to change bits, but to be fair I don’t bother as I simply use the flat bit which is the best for breaking up concrete. Runs from normal mains plug. Top notch.

Tres bon marteau piqueur pour le prix. Tres utile pour des surfaces horizontales. La puissance est bien adapt pour casser du beton de 10cm d’pais, j’ai juste du remettre de l’huile avant la premiere utilisation (15w40), et je n’ai pas encore eu besoin d’en remettre. Je le recommande.

Was a bit apprehensive but need not have worried, it took to the task with ease and has fully justified the purchase. Only problem is how to get rid of all that concrete.

Only marginally more expensive than hiring but left me to decide when I wanted to do the job. Was a bit apprehensive but need not have worried, it took to the task with ease and has fully justified the purchase. Only problem is how to get rid of all that concrete.

Mine came with no adjustment knob for the handle ,had two Allen bolts ,bit inconvenient no time to send it back needed the next day .Amazon gave me a discount to find a new knob locally and you can use the breaker with two screws though I ended up losing one through not tightening up enough (my fault)

Genuinely amazed with this breaker especially for what it cost. The only thing I had to do was go to Halfords for oil, I just got their cheap own brand stuff. All in I spent maybe an hour total breaking up concrete, I thought it would have taken longer after trying with a sledge hammer and it bouncing off but this breaker was just amazing.

It’s very rare I write reviews and I do so hate the over use of the word awesome, however he is my review, it’s awesome. It mashed 300mm x 600mm granite chip concrete foundations with ease, it does looks like it’s been made by the Albanian state power tool company and the box it comes in would be more suitable for holding fox’s biscuits, but the cost to buy this is equal to 1 weekends hire, so I refer to my earlier comme

So far so good. Great price for a fabulous tool. Made short work of a big old pile of concrete at the base of an unwanted wash-line. Solid, heavy piece of kit that does a good job for a phenomenal price. The metal storage/carry-box is a nice bonus.
Very heavy quality built bit of kit that comes with two bits. BEWARE do not but the silverline kango bits as recommended to buy with this as they do not fit and are to small. You need a bigger bit to fit this breaker.

good kango box not stong to carry kango and has already broke
It’s big and solid and just as good as things that I’ve hired in the past for removing concrete fence posts. My example had a small oil leak from the gearbox filling port; no big deal to fix, but it would have been better without.
Initially, from when I purchased to receipt of the tool, the service was excellent.
When unwrapped, I found everything was complete as stated, except that….the replacement carbon motor brushes were in several pieces and obviously un-useable, probably due to one of the chisels rolling on them in transit. These were however replaced without question.
Whilst re-vamping my garden, I found some massive chunks of concrete [probably left overs from an old shed base], and when i asked several building firms to remove the concrete for me, the cost was outrageous and at least twice the cost of the Electric Breaker, so i decided to go it alone. The breaker was a little heavier than I imagined, but it went through the 30CM concrete like cheese with no problems, so I am well pleased. I will add that this tool is not for the frail or feint hearted, and do folow the safety instructions. Be sure to use a heavy duty extension cable with an overload cut out incorporated. Also use protective goggles for eye safety. I did not feel there was any undue noise from the tool, but you can wear earmuffs if you are worried. Overall, I was very pleased with my purchase and rate this product 9 out of 10 on the basis that nothing is perfect. Well done Silverline. H.L.
The Breaker is as described and does the job it is supposed to. The carrying case handle is not well designed and has very sharp edges (nothing that some gaffer tape can’t fix!).
I had two eight foot concrete posts to replace. This tool made much lighter work of the job. Without this drill I don’t think I would have been able to do the job. I would certainly recommend this drill to any DIY addict.

Bought this to remove old fence posts following the windy weather. I was quoted 90 to hire one at the local hire shop for a weekend. Saw this online and thought i’d go with this instead, the chap at the hire shop tried to discourage me (obviously!) saying it wouldnt good enough at the price but it worked perfectly. The job turned out to be more protracted than first thought so the items has already worked out cheaper than hire.

Did everything I asked of it, comfortably and with ease, could have done with a 3″ wide chisel point in the kit but got by with bits supplied.
Absolute god send of a drill made my life a lot easier since I purchased one.

Digging out fence posts have never been so easy
I purchased this because we had removed some old fence posts that were set in concrete and the lumps of concrete were bigger and heavier than we expected, and we needed to get them to the dump. This concrete breaker is heavy – and that’s reassuring because it’s not designed for the DIY market. Very simple to use – a choice of two drill bits, one flat and one pointed, and it takes only a second to lock the bit into place. Then it made very short work of the job. Probably best to buy some protective goggles to go with it. The tool comes in a convenient metal case, which is another plus. Remarkably good value for money, when you compare with the other tools of this sort on the market.
