I’m not sure why there are any negative reviews on this. It’s does the job well. I have found myself using this more and more and it is probably my most used items along with my Japanese hand saw and trim router. The only negative is that there is no way to lock the king belt into an upright position without inserting a block of wood. It’s not very clear that this is needed and why they don’t provide a plastic insert or create a locking mechanism I’m not sure but trim a block to fit and you are good to go

The belt sander is only 350watts. It’s also around 100 (at time of writing)

The belt sander instructions are not great. A series of pictures give clues where the screws go. Mine was missing one of the dust extraction screws so instead of 4, only 3. I managed to find a replacement in my overgrowing odd screws and bolts box.

After around 10 minutes if assembling it was good to go.

The sander itself seems ok. Smaller pieces of work are handled nicely by the belt sander and for more detailed the disc sander works well too.

Any excess pressure on this sander will cause the unit to either stop or bounce around on the desk.

Remember though that this is a 100 belt sander.

To lock it in any position than horizontal, there’s a nylock nut near the hinge you need to tighten that before use in any position.

To make it more stable secure it to the desk. I’ll probably drill a few holes through the base so I can get all four corners secure for a safer experience.

    Overall happy with the purchase.

Have used this for a couple of days now, but quite a bit. Noting some of the other reviews I would say I bought a Silverline band saw a while back and was very disappointed with it, so I bought this with some trepidation.

Assembly instructions are a bit lacking, there were washers missing in my case, and it was actually damage on receipt (dented), but perfectly functional. Changing the belt is a pain, and there is a gap between the metal ‘plate’ and the tool rest that is annoying. Perhaps I can adjust something there.?

It is possible, with a square and some attention to adjust the disc table perfectly square. There are two vacuum extraction point but take care adjusting the housing when assembling as it can foul the table mounting rod, then you have to disassemble. Just rotate the housing as far as you can counterclockwise to give you enough room.

I sand small parts on this and don’t think the speed is too low, and feel the power is fine – I still have finger tips!

It is noisier than I expected and definitely needs bolting, or at least clamping down. Not found a way to lock the belt arm vertically (other than using the vacuum cleaner nozzle which does me), but I may be not seeing something there

On the whole I think this is actually a good enough starter tool for the money!

This is a nice product. Easy to set up and easy to use. The tilt arm is very handy. And the 45 deg stand also. Would recommend

The product needs setting up properly and a quick check on all bolts and fixings. It performs well and can run for sometime without needed a cool down. The main belt slips a little and keeping it aligned can be difficult, as can replacing the belt.

Both the belt and disc sander work well. I had to make minor adjustments to the tracking of the belt but after it was fine. It was a very good price and I think it was good value for money. My only complaint is that you can’t fix the belt in the upright position which is useful sometimes and also makes it easier to attach a dust extraction system. Otherwise very good.

Entry level sander for my man cave
It’s not bad, assembled in minutes, yes the bolts are cheap but what do you expect for this price I replaced 1 but it’s one for adjustments so I wanted to rely on the bolt (I didn’t need to),
    It’s a good little sander
I haven’t had any problems with it, It works well, I would recommend i

For the price it is a good sander. I have used it for 2 weeks now.
You will need to buy more belts to get a smoother finish. You can lock the position by tightening a bold at the base. It is a bit tricky to get a good right angle. There were some screws missing but it still worked. The instructions to build could be clearer but it is not difficult to put together. Took me about 10 mins to build. I am happy with it. I just make children’s toys so not very demanding work. I use a dremmel for finishing.

Bought as a gift for my partner he loves it though he states the only drawback is when your replacing for a new belt you basically have to take it apart to fit one! Other than that hes happy with it. Delivery was the bext day from ordering i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs an entry level bench sander its good, bit fiddly and a pain to change and adjust the belt but you don’t need to do it that often, bit awkward to put together too as instructions are not great, however once up and running it works well, Ive used it a lot now I have it and have changed the belt twice and the disk twice, disk is velcro so a doddle to change, very messy so dust extraction is a must, however I imagine this is the same for all models

Excellent tool for modelling, for the price. Would not like it for more heavy duty work. This machine suits my requirements with balsa and ply, it is a great tool for the money.

Great value, but very cheaply made, it vibrates badly under any load. No spares available (i wanted a second rest)

Great little versitile sander, at an affordable price. Does what I need it to do. I’ve pushed it quite hard grinding knives and it’s held up well. RPM is a little slower than I would like.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat purchase !! For sanding foam for amour builds and for making dragon horns from blue insulation foam
Cons , replacing the belt is long winded, having to take the enclosure off completely

Self adhesive discs , aren't suitable for this, do get the velcro ones, big mistake I Made

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersCheap and nasty. If there wasn’t a nut or bolt somewhere I would be convinced it was all plastic..someone needs to tell these people how to make these save to use…plus half the screws were missing
