Small but mighty sound
Really good sound and punchy bass that comes out of this little thing. It’ll be more of a bargain now than the Sonia One. Great speaker.
Only downside is that it doesn’t come with chromecast. Airplay is good for Apple users.
Best Speake
The sound quality of these speakers are phenomenal! This is probably the best speaker we have ever bought. It looks great in the home aswell and not too big. Will definitely be going to Sonos next time we need anything else speaker wise.

Ive just recently ordered another sonos one, going quadraphoic. The gen 2 ones are a great sound speaker by themselves, the quality is superior to most small speakers, I’ve purchased a few small BT speaker over the years, then bought a sondcore boom, a absolutely serious BT speaker. I use it in my truck. But any whoos, Hifi has always been my passion,bought my sonos one gen 2 last year,was very impressed, then bought the mini sub (its not mini) game changer.they say this is a budget system, I disagree this is high end.And I know you can spend thousands on sound systems. If you love music, and want a perfect music system that won’t disappoint, i so recommend this, the good thing is you can buy it bit by bit. Cannot possibly give a better review than this, other than you coming round my house and listening for yourself. Fidelity bass clarity, first class.

Quality buy
Bought for 160 and I’m thrilled! Its a great looking little speaker, incredible sound quality and make the mistake of maxing out the volume, its loud as hell! Especially for my bedroom, my first sonos product and I’m very impressed! Wish i Bought 2 to pair up, I’ll wait for a discount though.

After a frustrating time trying to connect using the alexa app and Sonos app , I had to contact Sonos via a live chat connection this was the only way I could get it to work .

Great sound
I had never heard of this speaker before. Until I was in a restarunt with my hubby and could hear the quality sound from the music speaker beside us. So bought one for hubby for Xmas. Loved it. Few easily sorted teething prob to connect. All good
Excellent sound quality
The sound quality is excellent and pairing it up to Spotify and BBC Sounds was easy. I’ve still not worked out how to do voice recognition. However I think that’s more me than the item.
I bought it so I could play background music in my treatment room but also use it in the house for listening to music. The volume is very controllable.
I was also very impressed with the delivery it arrived about 5 days before the planned delivery date which should have been after New Year but I received it before.

It is easy to setup and you can listen music any genre the volume is sounds very nice Hifi level I saw added Alexa or Google assistant because Alexa doesn’t have YouTube so I can use YouTube on Google assistant but sorry no Bluetooth but it is okay thank you

Should have bought one ages ago
Overal sound quality is fantastic for our small space. Primarily bought for background radio but so much more useful with Alexa and other apps. Will consider getting another for a multi room setup.
Sonos is the one
Love Sonos, have 2 x Sonos 5s in the kitchen which sound amazing and now added this Sonos 1 with Alexa to add extra control to the house. Sounds great, works great and looks the nuts also
These speakers are great quality. I use this in the kitchen/diner for music when cooking, cleaning and having guests over. Its never too quiet, the sound can fill the whole room with good quality and have more to give.
There is integration to Amazon Alexa and to Goggle Assistant. I found the Google integration was completely useless and did not work at all, that was my preferred option so had to go with Alexa in the end. That being said, the Alex integration works perfect with no issues. Although i do find the voice control sometimes does not work top tier. I’m not bothered about that, but you may of course be.
For me the sound is what i judge this speaker on. SONOS also provide the SONOS home app on your phone. This is actually pretty good and kind of works like spotify. Essentially a free streaming service for music with ads unless you buy premium. I dont tend to use it but did give it a go and liked all the curated playlists and radio stations they have made.

Sonos One, great quality and simple to set up.
I purchased this Sonos One to establish a pair in the kitchen. This was even easier than setting up the original single. Can’t fault the sound quality and as a pair, the missing volume problem has been sorted. They aren’t designed to provide blaring audio but as a pair in the kitchen they’re crystal clear and we’ll balanced. Alex’s misunderstands on occasion but that’s possibly normal.

Download the Sonos App. and the set-up is really easy. Magnificent sound quality. Been using these speakers for about 2 months now. I play music via my iPad using Airplay and it has been completely trouble free. If you really want to spoil yourself, get two and set them up as a stereo pair. Magic!

Alexa works well but isn’t 100% of features for example, you can’t change the trigger word like you can on an amazon echo device. All my other devices in the house are called “echo” but I can’t change this from “Alexa” – 1st world problem but annoying.
Better than Alexa in that you can set up a home streaming server (although I haven’t got round to doing this yet) as well as connecting apps.
I ordered this item following the return of the new Echo Studio. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get Alexa to play BBC sounds, one of the main reasons for the purchase.
The Sonos One is more compact but the sound quality equals if not betters the Echo. Sits neatly on our tv cabinet and is less intrusive. Downloading the app and linking accounts was straight forward and… hey presto… BBcCsounds and much more no problem at all, just like it should be. Voice activated by either ‘Alexa’ and ‘Hey Sonos’
Highly recommended
Sound quality is good. Unstable connection via WiFi (but has been better of late). Pain to reconnect as app keeps failing to find it despite it being connected to the router (would advise Ethernet connection over wi-fi if possible). Doesn’t integrate on Android phones well, so you have to use the Sonos app rather than choose from (eg) tidal, BBC sound etc which makes its use more complicated. No option to cast from phone I can see. Is litigating against Google so it may get better in the near future. So nice peice of kit, but not as useable or user friendly as I expected for the cost.
Just SO happy
I can’t tell you just how happy my new Sonos system has made me. The sound quality is just jaw-breakingly stunning. If you’re a music lover you won’t be disappointed!!!

Best smart speaker option for iPhone household?
I bought this for our kitchen after a fair amount of research. We’re a split iPhone / Android household and bluetooth can be problematic (generally on the Apple side). This has the advantage of airplay which is perfect for the Apple devices, they can basically stream from most music apps directly.
Lacking bluetooth does bring limitations on the android side, as you can only use the Sonos app itself. That brings some limitations around the integrations with other music apps.
In Deezer, for example, you can’t scrub (fast forward within a track) when playing a mix, but you can when playing a single track or album.
In BBC sounds you easily play a station, but you can’t access the station schedule to play a previous programme, for example. Voice commands for BBC sounds are also not available while using the Sonos voice assistant or Google assistant, and we refuse to use Alexa having been frustrated too many times by her ineptitude.
All in all it’s the best compromise for us and I’d recommend, but be aware the system is not without it’s limitations, particularly for Android users. You’re also paying a premium for a brand badge and some of the accessories (like the box that plugs into an existing HiFi) are insanely overpriced for what they are.
Exceptional sound
I was hoping for great sound quality, given Sonos’s reputation and I’ve not been disappointed. I don’t use Alexa much so can’t speak to that feature.

The sound quality from this little speaker is superb. The main purpose for purchase was to listen to my music via a NAS drive connected to a router. This was easy to to access via the Sonos app. My only gripe is that Alexa cannot access the NAS drive.

A neat device for music streaming
I’m new to streaming because until quite recently my main musical tastes have not been well catered for. However, I’m impressed with the Sonos speakers. The sound might not satisfy the hi- fi cognoscenti but it is very satisfactory for every day.
I find the Alexa functions can be a bit hit and miss; they dis-install unpredictably, sometimes don’t respond to voice control or misunderstand and at least once Alexa has responded to the television, but overall I am very satisfied with the speaker.
My Second Sonos
My 1st one doesn’t have Alexa and so having the one with Alexa is an Add bonus. Love it.

Detailed sound. Will still buy more for other rooms. I definitely recommend this for music lovers.
The only down side is Alex’s wants to take full control without giving me option to choose where I play my music from. I play from Spotify but Alexa wanted to force me to subscribe to amazon music. As a result, I uninstalled Alexa as I do not really need it.

Excellent system
Purchased four of these speakers and set two up as a pair. They are extremely easy to set up via the app and the sound quality is fantastic.
Good but disapointed!
I bought this after reading that this could be grouped with other Echo Speakers! It cant!! So the long and short it you either buy Sonos or you buy Amazon Echo devices
The sound quality is definitely worth it. But be prepared to spend a whole lot more building your system!!!. I would say if you have gone the Echo route and invested a whole lot in it just stay with it. Unless of course you are not bothered about a multi room system..
Now if at some point they enable this to be grouped with an echo then it would be brilliant!!
Perfect sound
These speakers are awesome, they are Sonos so always going to be the best thing ever. Sound is crystal clear and even half way is very very loud and the bass is awesome. App is brilliant that got to download and very easy to use as well. Recommend this speaker. I got 2 and will definitely be ordering more

So good with Alexa. Just ask her to play whoever you like and she finds them . Even ask her to play Radio 2 and she will. Wants to sell you on Amazon Music but just ignore her.
As expected
This was my second Sonos One, to be used as a surround for a theatre setup. Great speaker on its own as well, looks good, sounds good, app works great and the connection issues of the past are no longer an issue.

I purchased a pair of the sonos one gen 2 speakers for the home office. I play music at low volume and yet the music sounds really good, at the low frequencies too. Found it impossible to guide the PC sound to Sonos and purchased the Razer. Now side by side, see picture. Razer is much better suited for games than music

Also, there is limited connectivity: Biggest disappointment is it will not connect directly to my Samsung Smart TV via Wi-Fi. It requires a sound bar that I do not want or need. Please upgrade Sonos One to connect to Smart TV’s.

I bought this as a gift so I can’t really comment on whether it works or not, however, it was delivered extremely quickly and efficiently. I have several Sonos products and they’re all excellent. I shall be purchasing more in the future.

Worth the money. Took a long while to set up as we don’t have a clue what we’re doing when it comes to ‘smart’ stuff and the instructions were bare bones with most of skeleton missing. Again, WORTH IT. Sound is great.
Great purchase
Bought one of these for an upcoming kitchen/ living area extension to replace a basic echo dot, settled on this after hearing one in a restaurant. Was expecting issues with Alexa or vice recognition etc based on some reviews but honestly this is brilliant. The looks/ sound quality/ ease of functionality etc is really second to none. The music is the clear selling point as the quality is unbelievable but with everything else this is a such a good piece of kit.
Highly recommend and will be looking at a sound bar for the new TV wall.

It was so easy to set up and works really well. I love the fact you can link 2 in different rooms and they sync so easily and play seamlessly at the same time.

I suspect it would be better if a stereo pair but that would be even more expensive. The Alexa voice recognition is very poor. Whereas my echo dot and flex understand my Yorkshire accent about 70% of the time, this device drops that to around 40%, really not great at all. At this price I expected more than just a high quality feel.
Stereo love.
Bought this to complete my home cinema setup. Never had an Alexa device until this. The voice recognition is impressive. I have it setup with a few devices around the house including my tv. I’m liking it so far. But Alexa is not the most impressive thing. It’s the speaker itself. I’m using this as a pair with the Sonos One SL for my rear stereo speakers. The sound is superb. An excellent setup with the Sonos Arc and Sub.

Sonos are amazing we have added this to our network works a dream, sound quality is 5 Star! Alexa works great, sometimes Amazon Music is suspect when you ask for certain playlists but that’s a Music problem not Sonos

I’m very surprised how loud is the sound from the small speaker like that. I’m extremely happy with it because the sound is fantastic also I love this clear design. Really easy to use with Alexa, you can turn on your lights or vacuum robot only by you voice, I love it.

don’t know if the app needs an update but it’s a pain.

Further update:added another 2 Gen 2’s,they really are wonderful things. the sound is excellent and the Alexa integration makes operating a smart home a breeze. Smartthings can use them for announcements linked to smart devices, even put one in the garage now…. Just added a Sonos Amp to drive my floor standers and powered subs, Wow! also added an additional sonos one to make a pair of surround sounds for the amp. Amp connected to TV, all synced perfectly and the sorround sound is fantastic. I (now) have seven of these and all work perfectly. They are linked to Alexa account and Smartthings and both integrate with routines flawlessly. I have over 100 sensors connected to Smartthings and Alexa which play verbal announcements and chimes for door/window and camera triggers. One unit is connected via ethernet and all others interconnect. Absolutely no problems for me, let’s not forget they also sound great and with a Sonos Port I can play synced sounds through my Onkyo amp. (Onkyo amp now replaced with Sonos Amp) Thoroughly recommended and suggest trying an ethernet cable connection to one unit if problems with your WiFi.

Sounds great if you buy two of them and pair them
I was a little frustrated with my first Sonos One. Don’t get me wrong its an awesome sounding speaker but it’s just one speaker. Pairing them as a stereo pair makes all the difference, sublime sound in my opinion . The only other issue is I am not won over with the app. If it cannot find the Sonos I have to restart my phone, perhaps there is a work around I do not know. Also you have to run Spotify through the sonos app, you cannot run from the spotify app and it’s not so good. But honestly I am delighted overall with the system it sounds amazing So happy.

To my ears the Sonos has a much clearer and more detailed sound whilst still having plenty of bass. It has a sound that draws you in and makes you want to listen more. I thought that the lack of bluetooth would be a big drawback but in fact it works well from Alexa, Apple airplay, and the Amazon Music, Spotify and Sonos apps. I have also tried it against my stereo pair of Echos generation 3. Whilst the Echos gain from the stereo they are outclassed by the quality of the Sonos sound. No doubt a pair of Sonos would be good but a single one is conveniently portable around the house ( though it does need to be plugged in!)

I have a couple of Sonos products setup around my home and they are all great. The Sonos one feels really solid with very good sound quality. Sound works really well in the mid range, just don’t tune up the base in the Sonos app otherwise you’d begin to get poor quality base. The Sonos sub delivers excellent quality there.
I have google assistant enabled on all my Sonos speakers in my home so playing music from Spotify and sending commands to my smart devices like Philip hue makes leaving at home in the lockdown quite bearable. And the kids love sending those commands as well. I recommend.

Brilliant Speake
I LOVE my Sonos System, the best. But, as for the voice assistant, I used Alexa at first but it’s so slow to respond, and sometimes it didn’t work. So, I tried Google Assistant instead, and it’s SO MUCH BETTER. It’s so quick to respond. The sound is amazing.
