Best headphones up to June 2024
I tried Apple Airpods Max, Sonos Ace, Sennheiser Momentum, Bose Ultra Comfort and Sony WH-XM5. None of these can beat the sound of Sony WH-XM$. In fact Somy XM5 are genrally considered better than XM4 by most pundits and reviewers, but I disagree. In my opinion, XM4s are the best and the cheapest of the lot. Can’t fault the sound quality or value for money. Highly recommended.
Amazing headphone
I have to said this is my first wireless headphone, And I wish buy this form of headphone for travel around like underground, train and flight. So I think the noise cancellation is pretty good. Few thing I think Sony need think about.
1. Type-C currently can ONLY work for the charging… Plz add the capability for the audio feature also.
2. The 3.5mm headphone jack ONLY can work with headphone not the microphone.
Perfect headphones, especially for people with autism and noise sensitivity. (like myself with both)
I was incredibly skeptical about just how so many people were saying these were amazing active noise cancelling headphones, as i’ve had some underwhelming experiences in the past with some noise isolating products.
However, considering i’m above a business with a range of noises going on outside, i decided to buy these and give them a go. I was pleasantly surprised to see just how much these block out noise. Impact noise can travel quite alot, especially living in a flat, but these pretty much block out everything. It would have to be a very loud bang for it to break through, and even then it’s muffled.
The battery life could be a bit better, but they still last you a good few hours before charging. The sound quality is great, you can watch shows, sports with very little distractions. It’s not like you have to play music alot to drown out the noises, cause barely anything gets through. Comfortability is good, but can ware on your ears after a couple of hours or so. Nonetheless, these are 100% worth the money, and made my life easier.
My old Sony headphones finally gave out so decided to treat myself. I was nervous spending so much money but trust the Sony brand and I was not disappointed. The noise cancelling features are brilliant and sound quality is wonderful. As a neurodiverse adult these are my lifesaver especially when I am in sensory overload. I can have them on without anything just to block out the world or use them as Standard headphones. I have paired to different devices with no issues. I love watching TV with them, the sound is so clear. Worth every penny. Comes with a nice case to keep them in too.
Great headphones
I have used these in the gym, while flying, on trains, and for PC gaming and they have been absolutely wonderful. The battery lasted for a 3-hour flight, then straight on to a15 hour flight, and then a 5-hour train journey before being charged again. This was a mix of using them for my own music, in-flight entertainment, and just using them to drown out background noise while I slept. The carry case is a great addition too. Connected up with little fuss using Bluetooth, and also come with a wire for using them on a plane.
Cons of these headphones? They very rarely unpair and you have to reset your phone to pair again. The other con is the price! The call quality is a bit below par.
Pros: The noise cancelling is amazing, the sound quality is fantastic and they charge up quickly. The battery life is decent (not the best but good), the build quality is very good and the blue and gold colour especially is gorgeous. These are great for exercising and I use them in the gym most days. They perform without any stutters in the rain too, no risk of them breaking with the weather I’d say. The comfort is very good.

Received these today. I have been through bit if a journey in the headphone story. I often work late, at home, into the early hours. I can’t have the background music on after a reasonable time…so headphones are the answer. So I have been through several, mostly avoiding a big spend. I shouldn’t have avoided it! These are now technically the ‘old’ version as the MX5s are out, and I’m really late to the party and I watched plenty of videos telling me to get the latest. Well, I figured, the MX4s really can’t be so bad can they… I was right! And being so late to it all and wasting my money on cheap alternatives, I’m mega impressed with these. As one video said “an upgrade to the MX4 is a bit like playing after Queen at a gig…”. Very happy customer over here.
Great set of headphones but EQ in app isn't grea
I love these headphones, but they sound horrible straight out the box. The EQ in the app doesn’t have enough bands to get them to sound at their best. Everyone has different hearing, so you may be able to get them to sound exactly as you want using the Sony app. I used a 3rd party EQ app and they are now sounding better, but not as good as my Jabra Elite 75t’s – which are simply awesome!
The XM4’s have some great features and are well built and very good quality. I feel the ambient sound setting doesn’t let in enough of the surrounding sound in when turned on and set to its maximum. However the noise cancelling is good and battery life is superb!
I would recommend them.
These are a fantastic product. Although expensive at over 190 I bought them for their noise cancellation and music sound qualities when flying long haul. Have just used them for a return flight to Miami I have been absolutely amazed at the quality of this product. As a gentleman over 60 I have struggled to watch films on flights unless they have a sub title facility and most movies don’t – all I can say is wow I couldn’t hear the aircraft engines so was able to enjoy several films and listen to music. Without doubt this is a premium product (so far) and you won’t be disappointed if you buy them. Extremely comfortable to wear as well and worth every penny.

Going on for just under a year now, almost daily use, been on a few long distance flights
These are super comfortable. The ear cushions are soft and hug around my ears and excludes sound even without ANC to a large degree.
Sound quality for my tastes are as good as I can hear. I am no Audiophile and I do not scrutinise recordingsI just enjoy being enveloped by a far more than just good audio experience.
The Sonys definitely deliver.
Call quality is so-so. But honestly, that’s not why I buy headphones.
Battery life is beyond expectations.
The case is very handy and stops the headphones getting bashed about when in my satchel or backpack.
The ANC cut out background noise very well —obviously not everything —some sounds do get through, but the real test comes when you’ve been in town walking about listening to music in almost complete silence, and then you take them off!
Shocking how loud our urban environments are!
I love these Sonys. Hope to get a few more years’ use from them.
The one thing that really is an oversight on Sony’s part is the Voice Notifications! It drives me nuts.

These are incredible. I knew they’d be good because everyone says they are. Some reviews were even saying the XM4 is better than the XM5. So I had my hopes up and had to see if the hype is real.
And it certainly is. They’re so nice to wear, link perfectly with a couple of devices so I can link to my laptop and phone. The sound is fantastic, taking calls with them is really easy and I just have nothing bad to say about them. The carry case they come with is great, and the battery life is fantastic.
One of the best headsets O have used. Got it on sale.. it has really good sound clarity.. and features like noise cancellation, on chat feature where the music stops when you speak (thus can be deactivated if you wish to sing along) and touch options on right ear set. The pouch is also nice. The best part is the headset is foldable and set to carry. On call, there is like a windy sound but that is something I don’t mind keeping in mind that I mainly use headset for entertainment purpose.
Well built, easy to set up.
The only downside is that the microphones used for noise cancelling are exactly inline with the overhead air vents when flying, which can distort the noise cancelling somewhat. Easily fixed by redirecting the air vent.
Was about to get the newer XM5 model but saw these for 170 on prime day and decided that at half the price of the XM5s it was a steal. I’m not disappointed. Sound quality is excellent, battery life is very good. Great for PC gaming and music. Kind of wish it had the buttons like my old WCH-700Ns instead of the gimmicky touch sensor on the right ear cup. It has a habit of turning on or off functions that I don’t want if i just accidentally put my hand over it and I don’t ever use it to skip tracks or turn it up, I just use the device its connected to. Noise cancelling is pretty good. I’ve switched out the ear pads for Soulwit cool gel ones and they are super cool and comfortable. I like how it will pause music or videos if i take them off and restart playback when i put them back on. I wish the timeout for power off was longer / adjustable as if i take them off and nip downstairs to make a cup of tea they’ll be powered off when i get back which is a pain if I’m gaming on my PC as often switching them back on means i have to restart my game as they are usually not picked back up by the game. Minor issue, for the price and the sound quality they are excellent.
Edit: I have since found a setting in the Sony headphones app that allows me to prevent them from turning themselves off which is really useful. My friend has the XM5s and honestly, they don’t sound any better. Different (a bit) but not better. I’m very happy with these.
I wanted something more wearable as my AirPods make my ears sore if I wear too long. These are comfortable, sound is great and I love the way they can sit flat round your meal when to wearing. The case is sturdy and just the right size. Easy to pair and charge.
I needed a set of headphones with good sound quality which could drown out noise. After a friend from work recommended it, I can safely say it’s one of my best purchases. Highly recommend for journeys on the tube or long flights. Great sound with monstrous bass which can be modified through Sony’s headphones app and pretty good battery life.
I did a lot of research on these head phones and therefore not dissatisfied at all. I use them at the gym and I cannot hear the background music that is on. Better still cannot hear the loud spinning class. They are very comfortable so I can recommend them.
Super quality. The noise cancelling is just superb. Used it recently on a busy plane and, where normally I can’t set the volume high enough, with these I comfortably had the volume set at 50%. Highly recommended
The best things eve
As someone who is easily overwhelmed by noise these are a godsend. I have found it a lot easier to concentrate when working/ studying. Shopping has got a lot easier too. Even if they are turned off they block out lots of external sound.

This product is worth every penny, first of all the comfort is something I always look for in headphones and this product nailed it. Not to mention the sound cancellation; I could hardly hear anything in the gym which has really loud speakers (and people!). Sound quality is incredible! Very very happy.

Brilliant headse
Great headset, full of technology.
Very clear sound with technology to cut out most outside noise, with the ability to know when you are starting to speak to someone, it then holds the music/video and through microphone allows you to speak to the person (no taking off the headset to have the conversation). They also know when you have taken off the headset and again holds the music/video.

From the quality of the sound to the build quality and robustness , everything screams quality. Superior to the Apple headphones at 200 more expensive.
I even go to sleep with these on when my partner is snoring badly,;they don’t quite suppress all, but certainly help 🙂

At last I can watch my TV without interference from the rest of the household. These headphones have excellent noise cancelling and are really comfortable to wear. I am not surprised as Sony audio kit has always been my go to option and these just confirm their rightful place at the top of my list.
If your after an audiophile experience then look elsewhere. But you already knew this right! But as a pair of Sony cans go, these are fantastic. I’d deffo download the associated app to go with it. This adds lots of settings and personalisation. The sound signature is smooth and full. Lots of bass if you want it. But you can change the sound to suit your needs. Also the ANC is class leading imo.
I’ve got these for my birthday hence no picture but I tested them before they were hidden from view.
I have a pair of Bose QC 35 II and they have always been absolutely outstanding and in my opinion could not be beaten then I listened to these XM4’s. I can’t really describe how good they are other than saying they are another league. I nearly bought the QC 45 and I would have regretted it. For the sake of an extra 50 or so just do yourself a favour and get the Sony 1000XM4 is let the headphones transport you into a 360 degree audio immersive experience. Films sound like you’re in the cinema and music sounds like a festival or club. My only criticism is the sound leakage meaning others can pick up on the sound say for example if your in the office but who cares ey!
Bought to help me focus on work and shut out noise. They do this brilliantly and are really comfortable to wear. The audio quality is also excellent. I previously bought a cheaper pair, but the noise cancelling was average at best, which was no good for my purpose. Returned them and invested in these — worth the money.
These earphones are amazing. I am extremely noise sensitive, to a level that causes me severe anxiety. Up to now I lived in a house in the middle of nowhere. It was quiet. They are now building houses next door. For months I was worried about the noise this would cause.( I know , I might sound pathetic, but if you dont suffer from extreme noise sensitivity you perhaps dont know where I am coming from) These earphones changed everything. It is lot of money, but now I can actually sit in my garden and wont hear a thing. Without even having to listen to music. Just switch on the noise cancellation and that’s it. The sound when you play music is amazing, but that wasn’t the main feature for me. I actually think these headphones should be prescribed if you suffer from severe noise sensitivity.

Excellent quality and good price compared to some other competitor brands. I bought it after watching a lot of videos comparing different other noise cancelling headphone. Battery life pretty decent and superfast to recharge. I normally use it when travelling on a flight and noise cancelling is excellent.
I’ve owned more expensive brands and models before but nothing matches this quality.

I’m not an audiophile but they sound great to me. Active noise cancelling works well, no background whine like I’ve experienced with other headphones. Battery life is good and it’s handy that they fold up. The only downsides are the lack of buttons, I often skip tracks when I mean to change the volume using the gesture controls, and the unreliability of the “smart” features like pausing when you take them off.
I did a lot of research before buying these as I wanted earphones for multiple purposes; sleeping/blocking my partner’s loud snoring, working – we share a home office 3 days a week and one of us is always on Teams and listening to music.
Sleeping/snoring blocking – possibly the most important thing – they are super comfortable..no stomache sleeping but comfortable enough to sleep in on back or slightly to the side. Sound cancellation is fantastic – they wouldn’t block the snoring completely on their own but with white noise app playing, I can’t hear a thing!
Work wise, we got 2 pairs, these make concentrating very easy and block all office sounds – including noises within 45cm distance.
They have outstanding audio quality for listening to music – especially with the noise cancellation switched on.
I nearly got a cheaper version (Ankler) and I’m so glad I didn’t.
More comfortable and better features than the WH-1000XM3
One thing I didn’t like about the WH-1000XM3 headphones were that they would clamp down on my head, I took a gamble and bought these as I read and watched the reviews stating that these were more wider and more comfortable and I honestly thought I would have to send them back because there wouldn’t be any difference but I was wrong.
Not only are the ear cups bigger but they don’t clamp down at all and they are a lot more comfortable and I can wear them for long periods of time.
The noise cancellation which I also thought wouldn’t be that much of a difference is so much better, more so that I didn’t even hear the drilling outside and slightly heard when the kettle was boiling which the WH-1000XM3 headphones couldn’t mask the noise of and as the sole purpose of me buying these headphones for the noise cancellation I am pleased that the upgrade was worthy of my purchase.
While comparing the sound I honestly couldn’t hear that much of a difference, maybe because I haven’t really done and in depth analysis of both sounds of both headphones but to me the sound is great and really don’t have any negatives about it.
I love these headphones more than the WH-1000XM3 and bought them from amazon warehouse with the 20% added discount which are like new anyway and compared to the price of the WH-1000XM5 headphones I decided to buy these and I’ll probably upgrade when they become cheaper as the reviews I watched and read said that there wasn’t really that much of an upgrade between the WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM5 headphones so I settled on these and think I made a great choice.

I’m very pleased with these. Great sound for most users. Comfortable to wear. I chose these as they fold down fully for a coat pocket. Battery life is excellent. The blue version looks nice.

Expectations mostly me
So much has been written about his headphones already I’ll keep it short.
Build quality is excellent, and noise cancellation is pretty good. Sound quality is about on par with other headphones at this price point but is certainly nothing to rave about. Overall reasonable value.

Noise cancelling causes nausea
I didn’t realise that Active Noise Cancelling can cause nausea and a pressurised feeling in your ears if you’re not used to it. Fantastic product but I’ve had to return them as it takes me a while to recover after wearing them.
Great sound for the price
These headphones are very comfortable to wear and the sound quality is excellent. The battery life, as far as I can tell, is as long as advertised and they are very well made so I expect them to last a good few years – thoroughly recommended!
I've never heard anything so clear in my life

Simply astounding sound
Absolutely amazing pair of headphones, the noise cancelling felt next level to my ears and the sound quality blew me away. Not too basy, not too filled with highs, evenly balanced even without the EQ settings that you can customise on the mobile app. Very comfortable too.

Great headphones
Great headphones. I like blue colour as it makes them a bit different. The adaptive ambient mode is amazing as when I am walking it turns on transparency mode to ensure I aware of my surrounding and puts noise cancelling when I’m on the train to block out the noise. The call quality is not that great in the city as the mics pick up a lot of the traffic instead of my voice but when you walk on a empty street they work perfectly. I am happy with my purchase.
Awesome headphones
I’ve read and watched every possible review before committing to buying these. They are an expensive piece of equipment and I wanted to make sure I was spending my hard-earned pounds wisely. Every review pointed to the fact that although the apple ones have some areas where they’re better, they’re also considerably more expensive; the same with the newer version of these.
Well, now I’ve been using them for quite some time and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not an audiophile, but I guess 95% of the people reading this review or buying these pair of headphones aren’t either. All in all, I can say that they are super comfortable, the noise cancelling is marvellous, the battery life is great and the sound is amazing too. I couldn’t recommend them enough, you won’t regret it.
Amazing
Hands down the best headphones I’ve ever used, previously was using skullcandy but these were another level!
It's good but has some annoyances.
Just little things that make these headphones get on your nerves a little bit.
Like the voice that tells when it powers on or off being too loud for me and doesn’t seem to have a way to turn it down. The feature where you take it off your head to pause being inconsistant as I’ve come back a few times to find my music still playing. The fact they get unbearably hot while wearing them and charging them at the same time. The fact I have this issue where once I pair them to something they won’t show up on other devices bluetooth pairing modes unless I unpair them from everything and pair everything I want to use it with at the same time. Also, I wasn’t able to get the app to work on my phone.
Other than that, the noise cancelling was amazing for my flights from the UK to Australia and back and I didn’t have to charge them for the whole flight so battery life is amazing too. They’re definitely not balenced and have heaps of bass but I got used to that. They’re also useful at home using them with my laptop or desktop as you can’t hear the fan noise.
Overall, I will keep using them and just have to live with the minor annoyances I have with the product.

Great headphones
The noise cancellation is great. It blocks out almost everything except maybe really loud random voices but once you put music on your can barely hear that anyway.
They’re really light weight with very little clamping force so if you have glasses you can wear these for several hours straight.
The sound quality is amazing and you can tweak it to taste via the equaliser on the app to add more bass or get more treble. I’ve just left it on the excited preset which works for me. Movies also sound amazing with a rich almost surround sound feel.
The touch controls when using Bluetooth are pretty good with play, pause, volume and skip track functionality. The Bluetooth is decent too and can pitch through thick walls.
If you cover the right ear cup you get transparency mode even when using these wired with the 3.5mm headphone jack which is ok but really should be improved to let in more of the outside world. You can tweak ambient mode in the app to let in more sound and focus on voices which is good but still could be better so it sounds like you’re not wearing anything like the airpods max.
The only negatives are on really hot or humid days your ears will really sweat so it would be nice if they had breathable ear cups that are cooler, and Also of the ear cups could be better to to help with the sweating and heat.
But this is only a problem in really high humidity or >32c weather.
Speak to chat is too good which is why I switch it off and I don’t use these for calls but the times I have they’ve been fine. Also do note they’re not water proof so don’t use them in the rain or for hard exercise.
I got them on a prime sale which was great for around 207 and at that price they’re a steal. Before this I’ve only spent ~35 on headphones so a huge step up for me but I’m happy with the results. So if you’re looking for premium headphones at decent value now that they’re in at a reduced price go for these. It’s better to spend a little more and get quality rather than suffer with cheap stuff you’ll end up replacing sooner that you don’t like. They fold and have a small hard carry case that makes traveling with these easy too.

Worth the money
I took a long time deciding between the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones and the Bose 700. I guess I’ll never know what I missed in the Bose headphones but I’m not sorry I got the Sony headphones. I use them all the time! Not so much for music but for audiobooks and podcasts and for blocking out annoyingly loud people in the quiet carriage! The first time I tried them in noise-cancelling mode I thought my clothes drier was broken – I was standing in front of it and could barely hear it! If only that were true of human noise, but all in all noise-cancelling is good. I find the ‘speak to chat’ function an annoying gimmick but you can turn it off in the app easy enough. The charging cable that comes with headphones is too short to be useful, but I got a longer fairly cheaply. I think Sony could have done a bit better on the cable, it really is very short, but you can’t fault battery life – it’s fantastic. I had them on a flight to Australia where transit time was almost 40 hours (door to door). I did charge them on the plane for a few hours but that’s all it needed to get me through the whole trip. My only other slight grievance is that the touch pad is overly sensitive so when I take them off but have them around my neck, certain movements cause the book/podcast to start playing. Despite those few niggles they’re still the best thing I’ve bought myself in a long while!
Great once customised
Absolutely superb headphones. I had to use the app to customise the sound to my liking because they’re a touch bass heavy which is great for dance and techno etc but not so much for rock or indie. The app is great and easy to use too and has lots of good tweaks to make the cans personal to you. They’re very comfortable to wear and the noise cancelling is a gift. Overall these are an amazing pair of cans. Music is articulate and detailed and well balanced once set up out of the box. Highly recommended
Microphone let's it dow
The sound quality is amazing and the ANC probably only second to Bose. The big letdown is the microphone that means others hear cracking noises when talking. If you use external microphone you cannot use Bluetooth.

Amazing clear full sound
I love the deep clear sound. It feels like I’m inside the music . The base and treble balance out beautifully along with the noise cancellation. The only downside is it’s not great for making calls as it picks up too much of the background noise. Apart from that I love them and would highly recommend them.
Really happy with them
Definitely worth buying. Make sure to mess around with the EQ in the app when you get them – you can make them sound much better using it. Love the wear detection. I’d prefer it if I could turn off the voice which tells you when you’ve powered them on/off etc, but it really isn’t that bad or loud.
Brilliantly simple
Setup takes seconds. Integration with Zoom and Teams just works with no fiddling around in audio settings. Auto switching between laptop and phone just works with no problems whatsoever. Comfort and sound quality are excellent. Noise cancellation is good enough for my home office even when there’s a herd of angry cows being driven along the road during a meeting. I’d buy them again but I don’t have two heads.

Bought a second pair, originally bought for my daughter and tested them out, great sound quality and noise cancellation. Fairly comfortable, but ears do get warm after long use.
Comes with a nice case as well.
Used also for work on Teams video calls and does lock you out of all outside noises

A Great Improvement on An Already Great Produc
Purchased some WH-1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones a couple of years ago and recently passed them on to my daughter and now have WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones.
The XM3’s where excellent but these are better. They feel more comfortable and one can certainly wear them for much longer. They are mostly used on flights to and from the Falkland islands or helicopter journeys between islands. They are mostly used for audio books so i can not truly comment on sound quality.
The XM3’s used to pinch the top of my ears leaving them numb, i did read that these had a slightly larger cup, certainly they no longer pinch the ear. The noise cancelling is amazing, exactly what i was looking for.
An Honest Users Review
LOVE these headphones.
I’ve never had noise cancelling headphones before, so it was really interesting trying this feature for the first time. The way it ‘blocks’ out the external noise is fantastic. I use these sitting in coffee shops and on bus rides, the difference having the noise cancelling effect on is night and day.
The battery life on these seems amazing as well. Of course this is very subjective to your use, but I’ve only had to charge these twice in 3 months now. If I did have to complain about anything then it would be the charger cable length. Dear God what is that all about? Was there a wolrd shortage or something at time of production? I’m not joking either, what is with an 8″ charging cable in this day and age? lol It does some what limit where and how you charge them tbh.
I’m no audiophile by any stretch. But I have to say the sound quality for me at least is really good. Crystal clear and very basey when turned up. The app you can install for these as well seems pretty good. It even goes as far as to havbe an option to take photos of your ear’s to improve sound lol I haven’t tried this yet but may give it a go.

Noise cancelling is outstanding
..but the sound quality is lacking a bit. Could do with surround sound or arena as some headphones call it to add more depth. Sound cancelling is what these really excel at.
Premium noice cancelling headphone
I tested in the airplane, really comfortable and convenience to use. There is airplane audio socket on the box that I didn’t use. I really love the box on the package. I have big ears and that fit well on my ears.
Cons:
If you are not get used to wear headphone, it starts to hurt your ears after couple of hours of use. Sometimes, without touching the headphone, it stops the song for no reason.

Der Kopfhrer sitzt gut, fhlt sich edel an und der Empfang ist der Wahnsinn (15 Meter mit Wnden sind kein Problem). Mit der Akkulaufzeit bin ich sehr zufrieden. ANC funktioniert an sich ganz gut, aber wenn man keinen Ton abspielt habe ich einen unschnen Druck auf den Ohren, an den man sich gewhnen muss, daher schalte ich ANC meist aus (nach jedem einschalten von dem Kopfhrer aufs neue!). Die Steuerung funktioniert ganz gut, der Custom Button kann man bspw. fr ANC oder Google nutzen, jedoch leider nicht beides gleichzeitig. Fr meinen Geschmack knnte der Kopfhrer noch einen Tick lauter sein, sowie mehr Bass haben. Die App ist ganz okay, ich wrde mir ein Overlay auf dem Handy wnschen, welches wie bei den Galaxy Buds einem sofort den Akkustand anzeigt.

Super Kopfhörer aber...
Die Kopfhrer sind erst Mal mega. Tragekomfor, Tonqualitt und noise cancelling sind beeindruckend gut und alles Last sich ber die eigene App steuern.
Der Sternen Abzug kommt davon das meine Kopfhrer quietschen. Also wen ich mich bewege kommen zwei Teile aneinander und machen Gerusche welche man relativ laut hrt.
Ist aber nur strend wen ich mit den Kopfhrern rum gehe.
Werde schauen wo das Problem ist und dann spter das hier aktualisieren.

Ich habe viele in-ear Bluetooth Kopfhrer probiert aber niemals wurde ich mit ihnen fndig. Dann habe ich diesen Overear Kopfhrer von Sony bestellt und er ist hervorragend ! leicht und bietet gute Haltung beim besten Komfort. Der Sound ist schlicht berragend. Nicht billig aber sehr wertvoll.

2. If you connect these headphones with wires without turning it on than your experience is not great compared to when ambience sound is On.
3. If you are using wire and your headphones are turned on it will get automatically turned off because it only detects headphones are working when connected with bluetooth.
4. My ears get hot while wearing it maybe it is with every headphones because of covering your ears completely with it.
5. Noise cancellation is average. There was a construction work going around my house and with noice cancelling on and no music I can still hear the noise but it was like coming from a distance.

Buona la cancellazione del rumore anche se le voci umane non le annulla del tutto. Troppa tecnologia avanzata mi ha portato a opinioni negative nel senso che a volte la pausa quando togli la cuffia dalle orecchie non riprende una volta indossate di nuovo o addirittura si spengono e devo rifare tutto da capo. Ho notato che il tasto a sfioramento di pausa e avanzamento/indietreggio di musica molto delicato e porta a eseguirsi in maniera erronea e non voluta da chi le sta usando. In generale posso raccomandare come prodotto ma forse la troppa tecnologia lo porta a non essere perfetto e in certi casi deludente visto anche il prezzo

The noise cancelling although not 100% effective helped me to maintain my sanity during quite a noisy flight. The ‘touch controls’ on the right hand earphone are not always easy to use. There appeared to be an inconsistent response. Whilst I was not intending to use the Google assistant facility advertised I was concerned that shortly after my purchase the option was withdrawn. It had been presented as a positive selling point. The headphones had not been reduced in price because of this. I find the sound quality to be good and at least appropriate for my needs.
I am puzzled why after the headphones paired very easily with my iPhone they will not pair at all with my iPad rendering it necessary to rely upon use of the lead provided with the headphones.
Charging is straightforward and the headphones hold their charge very well.

Ich muss gestehen, beim ersten Ausprobieren, als ich den WH-1000XM4 mit zwei anderen deutlich gnstigeren Kopfhrern verglich, war ich vom Klang zunchst etwas enttuscht. Ich hatte sogar das Gefhl, dass der billigste der drei Kopfhrer (Kostenpunkt etwa 1/10 des Sony) den besten Sound hatte. Trotzdem war mir der Sony von Anfang an sympathisch und obwohl er der mit Abstand teuerste der drei Kopfhrer war und ich eigentlich nur einen billigen kaufen wollte, zog er mich recht rasch immer mehr in seinen Bann. 🙂
Ich mchte auch anmerken, dass ich bisher kein Kopfhrer-Benutzer war. (bis auf hin und wieder EarPods zum telefonieren) Musik hrte ich zuhause immer ber meine HiFi-Anlage und ber Lautsprecher. Es war meine Tochter, die mich auf die Idee brachte einen Kopfhrer zu kaufen, damit sie ungestrt auf ihrem Handy Musik hren, Videos schauen und telefonieren konnte ohne von anderen (oder z.B. meiner Musik) gestrt zu werden. Ihre Qualittsansprche in Sachen HiFi-Sound sind nicht so besonders hoch – solange der Bass stimmt 😉 – und daher war mein Plan, einen Kopfhrer in der Preislage “unter 50 Euro” zu kaufen.
Beim Aussuchen stie ich natrlich sofort auf die Frage, ob ich ein Modell mit oder ohne ANC kaufen sollte. Da der Kopfhrer hauptschlich zuhause zur Anwendung kommt, erschien mir ANC als nicht unbedingt notwendig. Trotzdem wollte ich es ausprobieren, um mir ein besseres Bild vom persnlichen Nutzen und von der Qualitt der Geruschunterdrckung machen zu knnen.
Ich bestellte daher zum Vergleich einen Kopfhrer ohne ANC fr etwa 30,-, einen mit ANC fr etwa 40,- und schlielich den Sony WH-1000XM4, um auszuprobieren, um wieviel besser ein High-End Kopfhrer wre.
Wie gesagt, der erste Eindruck war berraschend. Vom Klang her htte ich den Sony zunchst nicht unbedingt als besten der drei eingestuft. Aber das war u.a. noch ohne Verwendung der Equalizer-Funktion. Als ich den Sony mittels App etwas an meinen persnlichen Hrgeschmack angepasst hatte, geviel er mir schon besser. Und dieses Gefhl verstrkte sich in weiterer Folge immer mehr. Qualitativ, vom Design her, und auch haptisch, sowie von der Handhabung hat mir der WH-1000XM4 sowieso von Anfang an am besten gefallen. Da merkt man halt den Unterschied. Die teilweise coolen Spezial-Features (z.B. Speak-to-Chat) und die zahlreichen Customizing-Mglichkeiten, die die Sony “Headphones”-App bietet, sind ein weiteres Goodie des Sony. Mit der Touch-Gestensteuerung hatte ich anfangs ein wenig Schwierigkeiten, kam aber sehr rasch immer besser damit zurecht und freundete mich sogar damit an. (Ob mir Tasten vielleicht dennoch lieber wren, lasse ich mal dahingestellt. Ich bin mir da selbst nicht ganz sicher. Zumal der Kopfhrer recht viele Tasten bruchte, damit man alle Funktionen nutzen kann, die ber Gesten mglich sind.)
Nun zum Sound: Nachdem ich mich etwas mit den Einstellungen in der App “herum gespielt” hatte, konnte ich zunehmend die durchwegs sehr guten Testberichte in den diversen Fachzeitschriften verstehen und nachvollziehen. Der Sony WH-1000XM4 hat einen hervorragenden Klang. Ich bin zwar kein High-End HiFi Enthusiast (schon alleine deshalb, weil mein Gehr nicht mehr das allerbeste ist), aber am Klang gibt’s wirklich nichts zu meckern. Sehr klar, gut ausbalanciert, mit durchaus satten und druckvollen Bssen, gut pronouncierten Mitten und differenzierten Hhen. Damit stand fr mich dann relativ rasch fest, dass ich den Sony behalte und die beiden gnstigeren Kopfhrer zurck schicke. Die etwa 200 Euro Aufpreis des Sony waren es mir wert. Der WH-1000XM4 spielt einfach in einer anderen Liga, das muss man ganz klar sagen. (Obwohl auch die beiden anderen Kopfhrer, insbesondere in Anbetracht ihrer wirklich gnstigen Preise, berraschend gut waren und aus meiner Sicht bzw. aus einer Preis/Leistungs-Betrachtung absolute Kaufempfehlungen sind.)
Mittlerweile ist es sogar so, dass ich Musik nicht mehr ausschlielich ber meine HiFi-Anlage hre, sondern teilweise bewusst mit dem Kopfhrer. (Streaming-Musik vom Handy) Es macht Spa und ist eine echte Ergnzung und willkommene Abwechslung. Ich liebe den kraftvollen Sound meiner Anlage mit den 5.1 Teufel Surround-Lautsprechern nach wie vor sehr. Aber z.B. sptabends, wenn man die Nachbarn schonen mchte, oder wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzt, ist es durchaus von Vorteil, einen so tollen Kopfhrer als Alternative zu haben. Ich bin daher meiner Tochter sehr dankbar, dass sie mich auf den Gedanken gebracht hat, so ein Teil zu kaufen. Htte ich ansonsten nicht getan. Und jetzt bin ich ein absoluter Fan des WH-1000XM und kann ihn voll und ganz empfehlen.
Hier noch einige weitere Vorzge des Sony Kopfhrers aus meiner Sicht:
– Angenehmer Tragekomfort
– Schnes Design und coole Farbe (Midnight Blue!)
– Zusammenklappbar und sehr platzsparende Aufbewahrung in der mitgelieferten Box (die von der Unterteilung her ebenfalls gut durchdacht ist)
– Praktische und umfangreiche Steuerungsmglichkeiten ber Touch-Gesten (lauter/leiser, nchster/vorheriger Song, ANC ein/aus, Musikunterbrechung um ein Gesprch zu fhren etc. – erspart den Griff zum Handy)
– Genial gutes Noise Cancelling. Also hier ist Sony wirklich top. Faszinierend, wie gut das mittlerweile funktioniert. (Beim ANC trennt sich u.a. auch die Spreu vom Weizen. Billige Kopfhrer knnen das bei weitem nicht so gut.)
– Gute Akkulaufzeit und schnelle Aufladung
– Gute App mit vielen Einstell- und Steuerungsmglichkeiten (ich verwende Android)
– Gute Bluetooth-bertragung
– BT-Verbindung mit zwei Gerten gleichzeitig mglich
– Innovative Kopfhrer-Funktionen wie z.B. Speak-to-Chat
– Alexa Sprachsteuerung (hab ich zwar noch nicht getestet, knnte fr mich aber ntzlich sein, da ich vieles in meinem SmartHome ber Alexa steuere)
– USB C Ladestecker (viele billige Kopfhrer haben Micro-USB, das ich eigentlich fast nicht mehr nutze)
– Insgesamt qualitativ hochwertige Anmutung (auch wenn groteils Kunststoff verbaut ist)
Wow! Toller Sound, innovative Funktionen, sehr gute Qualität.
Ich muss gestehen, beim ersten Ausprobieren, als ich den WH-1000XM4 mit zwei anderen deutlich gnstigeren Kopfhrern verglich, war ich vom Klang zunchst etwas enttuscht. Ich hatte sogar das Gefhl, dass der billigste der drei Kopfhrer (Kostenpunkt etwa 1/10 des Sony) den besten Sound hatte. Trotzdem war mir der Sony von Anfang an sympathisch und obwohl er der mit Abstand teuerste der drei Kopfhrer war und ich eigentlich nur einen billigen kaufen wollte, zog er mich recht rasch immer mehr in seinen Bann. 🙂
Ich mchte auch anmerken, dass ich bisher kein Kopfhrer-Benutzer war. (bis auf hin und wieder EarPods zum telefonieren) Musik hrte ich zuhause immer ber meine HiFi-Anlage und ber Lautsprecher. Es war meine Tochter, die mich auf die Idee brachte einen Kopfhrer zu kaufen, damit sie ungestrt auf ihrem Handy Musik hren, Videos schauen und telefonieren konnte ohne von anderen (oder z.B. meiner Musik) gestrt zu werden. Ihre Qualittsansprche in Sachen HiFi-Sound sind nicht so besonders hoch – solange der Bass stimmt 😉 – und daher war mein Plan, einen Kopfhrer in der Preislage “unter 50 Euro” zu kaufen.
Beim Aussuchen stie ich natrlich sofort auf die Frage, ob ich ein Modell mit oder ohne ANC kaufen sollte. Da der Kopfhrer hauptschlich zuhause zur Anwendung kommt, erschien mir ANC als nicht unbedingt notwendig. Trotzdem wollte ich es ausprobieren, um mir ein besseres Bild vom persnlichen Nutzen und von der Qualitt der Geruschunterdrckung machen zu knnen.
Ich bestellte daher zum Vergleich einen Kopfhrer ohne ANC fr etwa 30,-, einen mit ANC fr etwa 40,- und schlielich den Sony WH-1000XM4, um auszuprobieren, um wieviel besser ein High-End Kopfhrer wre.
Wie gesagt, der erste Eindruck war berraschend. Vom Klang her htte ich den Sony zunchst nicht unbedingt als besten der drei eingestuft. Aber das war u.a. noch ohne Verwendung der Equalizer-Funktion. Als ich den Sony mittels App etwas an meinen persnlichen Hrgeschmack angepasst hatte, geviel er mir schon besser. Und dieses Gefhl verstrkte sich in weiterer Folge immer mehr. Qualitativ, vom Design her, und auch haptisch, sowie von der Handhabung hat mir der WH-1000XM4 sowieso von Anfang an am besten gefallen. Da merkt man halt den Unterschied. Die teilweise coolen Spezial-Features (z.B. Speak-to-Chat) und die zahlreichen Customizing-Mglichkeiten, die die Sony “Headphones”-App bietet, sind ein weiteres Goodie des Sony. Mit der Touch-Gestensteuerung hatte ich anfangs ein wenig Schwierigkeiten, kam aber sehr rasch immer besser damit zurecht und freundete mich sogar damit an. (Ob mir Tasten vielleicht dennoch lieber wren, lasse ich mal dahingestellt. Ich bin mir da selbst nicht ganz sicher. Zumal der Kopfhrer recht viele Tasten bruchte, damit man alle Funktionen nutzen kann, die ber Gesten mglich sind.)
Nun zum Sound: Nachdem ich mich etwas mit den Einstellungen in der App “herum gespielt” hatte, konnte ich zunehmend die durchwegs sehr guten Testberichte in den diversen Fachzeitschriften verstehen und nachvollziehen. Der Sony WH-1000XM4 hat einen hervorragenden Klang. Ich bin zwar kein High-End HiFi Enthusiast (schon alleine deshalb, weil mein Gehr nicht mehr das allerbeste ist), aber am Klang gibt’s wirklich nichts zu meckern. Sehr klar, gut ausbalanciert, mit durchaus satten und druckvollen Bssen, gut pronouncierten Mitten und differenzierten Hhen. Damit stand fr mich dann relativ rasch fest, dass ich den Sony behalte und die beiden gnstigeren Kopfhrer zurck schicke. Die etwa 200 Euro Aufpreis des Sony waren es mir wert. Der WH-1000XM4 spielt einfach in einer anderen Liga, das muss man ganz klar sagen. Dennoch leisten die WH-100MX4 hierbei zumindest gute Arbeit.
Zudem empfinde ich sie trotz Brille als ber lngere Zeit als angenehm zu tragen.
Was mich jedoch strt ist, dass die beworbenen 30h Laufzeit nicht eingehalten werden. Mit eingeschaltetem ANC erreiche ich lediglich 18-22 Stunden.

Lo mejor, aparte del sonido, es la facilidad con la que se emparejan con cualquier equipo. La funcin de emparejarse con dos equipos a la vez funciona muy bien, y es muy prctica cuando estas trabajando, te permite separar tus aparatos personales de aquellos del trabajo de una forma transparente.
