This has been great. Light to carry, easy to set up and with the extendable length of central pole provides loads of shade. Can get 2 deckchairs underneath and have a lot of shade extended out for the dog/kids. Great product and I rarely give reviews.
A true game-changer! We take this everywhere in our campervan if we want to sit out in the sun & not burn, or if it’s drizzling. It’s light, portable, comes in a nifty carry bag, has pegs & optional guy lines so won’t blow away, has two windows with mosquito nets if you want to see out the side, and it’s more than big enough for two people sitting in big camping chairs, yet packs down to the size of a light golf umbrella. Really a genius, indispensable bit of kit! The first one unfortunately came with a slight rip & the courier company didn’t deliver the replacement (not the seller’s fault), but Amazon refunded so we bought a replacement. Highly recommended!

Great size when erected. Well-built. Good to keep in the car for days out. Bit too big and heavy if you plan on taking it too far from your car on long walks, but that’s the only drawback. Easily put away. Chuffed with this buy!

This giant umbrella was well worth the money, our dogs had shade under it and we could sit on beach chairs in comfort.
I don’t think it could be carried to far, it’s in a carry bag, but quite heavy depending how far you are can walk carrying other beach stuff.

Perfect, really love this item. Great for shelter from hot sun, wind, rain. I use this instead of putting up my little camper van awning as its big enough to shelter several of us underneath.
Fantastic for the beach!
Bought this instead of taking a wind breaker and an umbrella to the beach. With this you keep cool with a gentle breeze and it’s held in place by pegs that go into the sand and weights on either side (on the beach you just use sand!) Plenty of room!
Having erected my new Sport-Brella on a stony and sandy beach, and harbouring a slight concern over the security of its fastenings, I sat back to enjoy wind-free relaxation. However, on hearing a cry for help from my wife, I sat bolt upright to see my Brella flying down the beach!
I immediately girded my loins and chased said Brella for some 250 metres, missing it every time the wind died and slowed it down. Sheer determination drove me to continue my pursuit, shouting warnings to members of the public bemused by the spectacle. Onward the Brella rolled and flew until it was directed into the sea. Not to be defeated, I waded in, and at the third attempt, managed to grab the sodden product. On my return, I heard a ripple of applause and my Grandson was impressed with my bloody-mindedness. Victory is so sweet. The upshot of this story is that my Brella suffered a few slight holes and mildly bent spokes, neither of which has prevented its functionality.
I was impressed and thought I’d sing its praises. So, if you are going to buy it, watch out for the wind direction and make absolutely sure it’s well secured or you too could be giving it and yourself an endurance test!!

Sturdy, showerproof, colourful umbrella! Have it in my courtyard for those rainy day bbq cooking, does the job a treat!!!! Would thoroughly recommend
I wanted a shelter / windbreak for the coast and this is perfect. It is very spacious allowing me over 6’6″ to sit on my fold-away chair inside the shelter with plenty of head height. It is so quick to put up just like a giant umbrella but be aware that this must be carried out against the wind to prevent damage. The pegs are a little on the small side in length for the beach and the supplied ones kept releasing from the sand with a gentle breeze. The air vents in each side allow a lovely breeze through the shelter. All in all I am extremely pleased with my purchase!

Spent time researching what to buy. I am so pleased , this umbrella is strong, easy to use and fits in the car (polo) no problem. A little heavy but necessary to provide strength. Made our beach days simple , 2 chairs, I rig and my brolly , fabulous. Quick to set up , did well in the recent summer wind we had.

This goes up in a jiffy and two adults and a child easily fit under it on the beach including low chairs. It’s not very lightweight and quite long so you might not want to carry it a long way but if you’re close to the car then it’s perfect. Loved the “windows” for airflow which could be zipped up when it rained. Great as a beach base.

Beach Life
I am very pleased with this umbrella, which arrived promptly. It is easy to assemble, is a good size and adequately provides shade for several people as well as belongings, such as a cool box. The zipped window vents provide extra ventilation if needed.
Just what I wanted!
Warmth? It’s not warm but it will shelter two adults on normal sized folding or garden chairs from wind, rain or sun. The interior is lined with reflective material to keep out the sun’s rays and keep one a bit cooler.
It is not particularly heavy, quick to put up and easier to put up than say a bivouac type shelter and comes with guy ropes and pegs to hold it down in moderately windy conditions- not sure I would try it in a gale.

The umbrella is expensive but it does keep you cool, we used it sat at our local beach on a hot day, great for creating a spot of shade / cool. Did find it tricky to pull the sides down fully there’s a nack. Does what it says it does

Easy to put up. I found it light enough to carry. Some ground areas are hard so I would advise getting a rubber mallet for the pegs but it’s awesome. Shelter from rain & sun. Also great for my cooking stove as it sheltered the breeze. Two chairs fit comfortably inside & im so glad I bought it instead of an awning
Great UV protectio
This was a great purchase and gets used most weekends. It goes up really quickly exactly the same as a normal umbrella but with the addition of some extra sides with ground spikes.
It comfortably seats two seats under it and gives great protection from the sun as well as wind and rain.
I wanted a good quality shade for the garden so my toddler and baby could get out of the sun. I also wanted something robust and easy to put up/take down (which is why I wasn’t keen on a tent type shade). I’m really pleased with this so far. Creates lots of shade and is very quick to put up and take down. It’s quite portable – not small enough to take if you’re going to the park really but if there are two of you it would be manageable to take on a day out (I.e. my husband can carry it!). I like the fact that the little windows can be opened to let air flow through but they are netted so doesn’t compromise the shade. It does need to be anchored down as it obviously creates a big sail and a slight wind blows it back. This is easy on grass, but don’t see how you could use it on a hard surface. I have removed a star because I think the end of the pole should have more of a spike to anchor it and it’s also an expensive item. I am pleased I’ve bought it though and can see me and the children getting lots of use out of it in the future.
This was a last minute purchase before a trip to Italy. And boy was I glad we got one. This came in handy on so many occasions. My children are all fair skinned, so with this in the boot of the car, we always had sun protection and a safe shaded space for them. It’s quick and easy to use, basically a large umbrella, that conveniently packs away in case with a shoulder strap. This is without hesitation one of the most useful products I have bought. And will no doubt be using it for years to come. Brilliant!

This is amazing . I first saw one on a beach and thought I must have one . So easy to open and close and gives sun and rain protection . So glad I spotted it didn’t know you could get these. Great item !!
Fantastic umbrella. Taken on holiday this summer when the weather is Europe was really hot. Huge shade area at all times of the day and plenty for 4 of us. Very stable in moderate winds when others were losing theirs. Bit heavy and I think the carrying strap won’t last very long. A word of warning, we were lucky but it might need to go as sports equipment if you take it on a plane as it won’t fit in a suitcase.
Great bit of kit. All packs away very neatly, and simple to put up, just like a brolly really. It comes with all the basics you need to hold it in place….pegs and guide ropes and should withstand fairly gusty weather with the side vents open and the heavy duty pegs used. Be very wary though when opening it up though if it’s windy.
As regards keeping the sun off it’s brilliant…..the weathers been all cloud since it arrived!!!
Fast shelter and shade from the elements
Have purchased two of these now. Excellent pieces of kit. Goes up and down in a matter of seconds. Large shelter, easily stored and to carry.
Used mainly on the beach, salt has corroded the metal around the eyelets but my first one is five years old now.

My daughter does Athletics, and I spotted someone else with this. This is the best thing I have bought. You just need to ensure that the umbrella is facing against the sun or wind / rain to ensure maximum cover from whichever element you are sheltering from, which does occasionally mean not facing the direction you really want to. I went to an Athletics meeting last weekend, I believe the temperatures reached 30 degrees, with no shade available, this was a godsend. We easily fit 2 camping chairs either side, and we take a trolley with lunch / kit in, which I put behind the pole. We could probably fit a 3rd chair in at a squeeze, but certainly comfortable for 2. I did consider the XL size, but I am glad I didn’t get this, as seeing it now, this is plenty big for myself and my daughter. I see so many with tents, which get very hot, and I’m one of these people who just cannot bend the tent poles to put away in the bag, and would make a comedy scene just trying it. So many of the kids in these tents complaining that they are hot, and you can’t sit your chairs in them. I also see parents struggling to carry umbrella gazebos which are great to shading a large area for you to sit in, but are so big and heavy to carry. For me this is a great in between option. I have used now about a dozen times in all weathers, and would recommend this. just make sure if it’s windy to let it down, the only thing missing is a hammer, but Good job my daughter does shot put, great use of a sporting implement to hammer in the pegs!

Excellent for beach, garden or day trips. It’s big to carry around but it provides a brilliant shelter for 2 adults and 2 kids to picnic (used on its side, I’ve never rtied it like a parasol).

It takes a few minutes to put it up but well worth it. You do have to get the angle and height of the pole right otherwise you cannot anchor the side flaps down.

We received our SKLZ Sport Brella this morning – and so far so good. It’s good quality, well made and I look forward to taking it to the beach. I think it will provide plenty of shade for my wife, myself and our three small children (aged 7, 5 and 2). We also intend to use it to cook under when we go camping (when it’s raining) – and we think this will be ideal for that. We don’t want to damage our new tent by cooking in it so this is a great alternative – much cheaper to replace (if necessary) than a whole tent.
My only negative is that Amazon recommend you buy the Fladen Brolly Spike. I ordered one and unfortunately the Sport Brella doesn’t fit into it. That’s a shame because a brolly spike would have been useful on harder ground.
I spent ages agonising over whether to get the sport brella or the super brella. Visiting the sklz.com website was helpful as it revealed the sport brella is the better quality one (more metal parts rather than plastic ones) so that’s the one I went for. I was also unsure whether to get the XL version of the sport brella which is 1 foot wider but having seen regular sized one in person it’s already large and I think it will suit us perfectly.

love this umbrella, havent used it on the beach yet but sat in my garden the other day and it started to rain so stuck it in the middle of my table and was happy, not only keeps the rain off but the side flaps protect you from the wind too, also keeps the sun off you extremely well, quite expensive but if it lasts then worth it, time will tell
Lovin' it already
We’re off on our holibobs to France this Sunday and, with the weather hotting up, we’ll be heading to the beach. I’m not much of a beach person (unlike wifey) so I was after something to make my time on the sand more bearable. Previously we’ve used one of those pop-up tents, but it never really worked — small, hot inside, at risk of blowing away (even when fixed to the sand), providing little shade, difficult to put down. So I was on the search for something better, more substantial and effective, but still portable (at least for the car). This arrived today and I just tried it out in the garden (it’s 32-degrees today in the UK) and I already love it! It’s huge, easy to put up (and importantly put down again), about the same size folded up as a garden parasol but weighs less. Not sure if we’d pack this if we were flying but we’re taking the car so we’ll have room. I bought some kind of extra umbrella fixing thing which was recommended at the time of purchase but haven’t tried that yet. I’ll update my review here when we’re back to report how it (and I) survived the beach, but I have high hopes and I’m not dreading the sand now!

As someone who can sunburn in April, this sports brella has been brilliant this year. I can sit in the shade, and others can join me, or sit in the sun nearby. It has also been good for rainy concerts, just sit at the back of a section, and the brella doesn’t block anyone else’s view. Enough room underneath for 2 largeish deckchairs, coolbox and all the other items needed for a day on the beach. Really pleased with it.

Even though I had read previous reviews and the product details, I was still surprised by the open size of the umbrella. The size is an advantage when sheltering – we have found it very comfortable for two adults, but a disadvantage when storing. We had hoped to keep it in the boot of our car, but it is very slightly too long to fit across the car (so I advise checking dimensions, if that’s what you have in mind!).
The umbrella is of reasonable quality and has no obvious manufacturing flaws. The pegs were a little oxidised when they arrived, but that doesn’t impact upon their function – just a little annoying to have a non-pristeen new product.
In use, the umbrella seems very stable, though we haven’t used it in strong wind. The shade generated, provided you align it with the sun appropriately, is generous.
I would recommend for use as a shelter on the beach or in the park, especially if you have children. It is quick to put up, relatively easy to carry, and provides reasonable coverage usable by adults and children alike.

Good beach umbrella
Use it on the beach. It is heavy to carry far, but I have a beach cart so no problem. It goes up fast and gives good shade for two low seats. Also cuts down on children’s noise. Gives excellent protection from wind and rain.

I thought I had the best beach tent, until I forgot to pack it and ordered this one whilst on holiday. The Sport-Brella is easy to put up and put away, fits 4 people and copes on a windy beach with the guy ropes attached.

i have been fishing a few times recently and have been getting soaked. So i thought i would invest in a decent umbrella.
On receiving the umbrella it came in a very nice carry holdall which is red to go with the red umbrella too. The red is bright red so at fishing i stuck out like a sore thumb. (but i love red and the colour is great
We went fishing on monday just got and the weather was terrible all day. On setting up i took it out of the case and opened it up and to my surprise its huge and very good size, i was able to sit under the umbrella very easily with a chair and mange to have all my fishing equipment under it to and keep myself dry, it rained all day and we was there from 9am till 6pm and the umbrella withstood the rain all day, the only parts where the water got in was on the sun shield visors not much water got in but they are more for getting ventilation from the heat.
it was very easy to set-up and comes with all the pegs that you will need to hold the umbrella down. some of the pegs are rather impressive and are a good size to hold down the sides and it wont bend as they are rather strong and a circle head on the peg to use a mallet to hit in.
i would recommend this for all types of use as it would be great for a sun shield or in my case for keeping dry in the rain and was great for fishing.
the only thing which was annoying but is the same with these types of umbrellas that it is hard to get back in the case

Just put umbrella up in the garden and it looks great! Think it will be perfect for the windy beaches in Cornwall in the summer. A peg was missing but a quick call with Amazon Customer Services has sorted that out, so very happy and have recommended product to others.
Umbrella Shelte
We chose this umbrella to take to the beach but so far have only erected it on the back lawn. It looks as if it will be fine but will not be able to give a proper evaluation until properly tested in the wind. I did ask other people on Amazon what they thought of this product and it was highly recommended. I need it for the ‘sun factor’ protection as I have to protect my skin. Will rate this item again later in the year when tried and tested that’s why I only gave it 4 stars, might be 5 stars if it performs well.
Purchased this after seeing somebody else with one on the beach last summer. It was delivered in a box big and strong enough to take an adult bicycle. Product is high quality and surprisingly heavy due to the telescopic spike pole, which can be removed. Just what I need for the beach.

Brilliant umbrella that is solid in winds. Secured firmly to the ground. Loads of room under it and the reflective panels and side windows keep it cool in hot sun.

The Britain's Best Brolly
Have used it in the garden as a sun shade for grand-children and have just got back from North Devon and have used it every day as a beach shelter, wind breaker and sun-shade. Excellent!! Great shelter but quite heavy
This is a great idea and works brilliantly as a shelter, but as it is in umbrella form it is quite bulky & heavy so make sure you have a big enough boot to fit it.
We were planning a day out on the beach and with the weather the way it is I knew I would hate being in the sun all day, and end up wandering back to the car in a bit of a grump, so I knew I had to get some sort of shelter, but not the pop up tent kind which ends up being like a dry sauna!
I saw this and read the reviews about how good it is, it looked like a good product but was a little expensive so I did sleep on it, but decided to buy the next day. It arrived in a huge box which had me thinking I had made a bit of a mistake, but when we opened it we realised it wasn’t as big as the box thankfullly! – I can safely say it’s about 5 foot high, and comes in a little case which can be thrown over the shoulder really easily, we opened it up on the beach and it took about 2 minutes to set up, the spike comes out of the bottom which you stick into the ground, this is enough in light wind and guide ropes which are included, are not really needed.
It came with special pegs to peg it all in including the side panels, we used it all day, as a family of 5 with all our bits and bobs in and it never faltered, it was as sturdy when we took it down as it was when we put it up, and to be honest, without it, the day would have been awful!! – this is simply a great product and it had everyone staring at us, thinking where we bought this amazing thing from!
I love the side panels and tie down panels which make it more cosy to use, and if the beach is crowded you really feel you have your own private space, the spike is strong and it all seems well made.
Probably the purchase of the year so far for me, really recommend it for going out to the park, beach etc. Amazon as usual were brilliant.

We bought the shelter as a replacement for another shelter. We were slightly concerned that with the bench inside it would be a little too small, but it fits in 5, 9 year old footballers no problem on their bench and its waterproof!!!!!!!
Easy to put up, only took a couple of minutes. Extremely sturdy even in windy conditions. We had a lot of admiring glances and a few comments. We thought it was a bit pricey (we paid 50) but on reflection it was worth every penny.

This was something I just had to buy when I saw one of my friends at a picnic with it, it was so handy – doubling up as a mini shelter/umbrella.
Made of good quality fabric and really portable – perfect for family picnics or trips to the beach!

Excellent shelte
I bought this product to use at dog agility shows and it has been excellent. It has been used to protect people and dogs from wind, rain and sun so far and has been extremely useful. Good size, quality and ease of use.
Bought one of these for a summer holiday last year and was really impressed with the design. Plenty of space underneath with the side sections and the guy ropes mean that its pretty stable in the wind.
