I didnt know this was the remastered first 3 original games for the Xbox. Only played years ago to the 2nd and 3rd ones on my playstation 2 when I was a teenager. And when all of a sudden I realised they were the remastered version I was so happy.
The graphics are amazing, and the team who created it made a wonderful job. Certain scenarios have been made even much better than the originals, and the graphics for sure have played on their advantage, being able to create wonderful locations.
The only negative thing I would say is that being 30yo I found certain levels quite difficult to complete unless I watched tutorials online. Like where to find hidden gems and eggs, etc.

My husband had Spiro when it first came out and I always loved watching him play. I found out it now came out on Xbox 1 and got it for him for Christmas. He brought it out in the living room to play on our new LG Smart TV and our neighbor plays on a computer next to him I like the game now as much as I did then. Great action and challenging and beautiful color.

Nostalgic
Feeling nostalgic with this game as kid in the 90s I used to love playing spyro they certainly cleared up the graphics but it’s still my childhood treasured game any kid will love it it’s fun and challenging in parts which is just as needed also has a sense mystery searching for last gems

Love this game, played it the first time it was out and was delighted when it was remastered.
-The graphics quality is excellent and the game play is very enjoyable.
-Lots to complete especially if you go for all skill points and achievements (over 100%)
-Still very much a challenge for adults too and enjoyable by the whole family
-1 player so you will have to take it in turns but this doesn’t detract from the game at all

Childhood favourite
Fantastic game. Takes me back to my childhood… Graphics are improved nicely, and gameplay is still good for both adults and children alike… Worth the price as it’s something which can be replayed time and again.

Game came on time during christmas period which was happy about and is new and sealed which is even better, no scratches or damage to the disc. Game is spyro for the xbox playing three of his classic games from the golden ps1 days. Good game for any ps1 fans. Definately recommend to any spyro fan to.

Timeless classic
As a lover of spyro and crash when I was a child, I was ecstatic when these were remastered. Spyro is just as I remember, it has been played non stop (which is more than I can say for crash). Amazing for a trip down memory road, or if you haven’t played this before prepare to not leave your console for days. Highly addictive fun!
Amazing for old and new Spyro players
Absolutely amazing game! I played Spyro on the PS1 as a kid and playing this brought me right back, it was like I’d never stopped playing the game for multiple years. Looks and plays amazingly. My 5 year old also loves it!

Pretty much exactly the same game as the PlayStation and PSP versions. They didn’t spoil it! Better graphics than the original, which is great. Sound track and voices have been re-recorded which is initially odd but you get used to it. A great reboot of one of the greatest games of all time.
Pure Nostalgia!
Absolutely loved this game as a kid, and nothing has changed. Except for the amazing graphics that bring this colourful world into the present day! so much fun, a visual joy to play! highly recommend for those who used to play it and kids who have never played it. Got this for my nephew for his birthday (to pass on the baton) he loved it, delivery was fast and product was exactly as described.

Had to get this to rediscover my youth. Game is brilliant on a 4k screen. Have to say seems a little easy compared to when I was 7 years old. But definitely has the nostalgia! Great game!

Have always loved Spyro and once I knew it was being remade I instantly had to buy this. I think it’s a brilliant game and feel like the improvement in controls makes the game a lot easier, think it’s an amazing remaster of the Spyro Trilogy.

After the runaway success of the Crash Bandicoot remake, it was inevitable Spyro would get the same treatment. Only, if you ask me, he got a BETTER treatment. Holy moly does this game look GORGEOUS.
I picked this up day one as I have fond memories of the first and third games from the PS1 era. I’ve now completed the first title. Each level easily took longer than necessary to complete, for all of the soaking in the glorious Pixar-esque visuals created by Toys For Bob. This is a stunning looking game. Several of the skyboxes are breathtaking, and the ground assets are just as lovely. A highlight of mine has to be first arrival in Dreamweavers – wow.
Controls are solid, play faithfully the same as ever. The addition of analogue controls are a definite benefit. I played Retro controls as it felt more natural. A gripe I had with the Reignited controls is how Flame is on the Right Trigger, but Charge is not on the Left Trigger.
I have been impressed with the achievement list, which promotes level exploration and completing particular tasks, rather than including run-of-the-mill ‘Complete Level X’, ‘Beat Boss Y’ etc.
Next step is to move on to Ripto’s Rage (which will forever be Gateway to Glimmer!)

I loved playing the original three Spyro games on the PS1, so I was delighted to hear about the remaster when it was announced.
The gameplay is just as I remembered it: the controls are tight and responsive, with a variety of enemies and locations that keep the games fresh. Being able to control the camera is a welcome addition, helping players track down any elusive gems. The game felt easier than I remember, but there are still challenging segments to keep you on your toes. The minigames that are added to the second and third games inject some fun to break up the standard gameplay formula.
The game looks gorgeous, with the cartoonish style faithfully remastered with the unreal engine. The only issue I have is that in a number a specific segments in the game where there’s a lot going on, the frame-rate can suffer; not so much to make it unplayable but it is very noticeable and a bit frustrating.
Despite the occasional frame-rate issue, I would recommend this to both those who played the originals and those new to the character. I have had a blast playing it.

Love all of these games! They’ve changed the minimum and it gives you a lovely little nostalgia trip playing. Loved these games as a kid and they are just as fun now. Prefer these to Crash Bandicoot without a doubt – no controllers have been thrown across the room in anger!

Just what I wanted
I was addicted to Spyro back in its heyday, my granddaughter also got hooked and started playing it at my house. This year she has asked for this for Christmas so I bought her this and the Spyro tee shirt. She will love them when she opens this and I probably won’t see her for hours .
A fantastic, stunning remaster of the three Spyro games. The graphics are beautiful, the music, voice acting (voice by Spyro from the second and third game) and sound is crisp and the controls are a dream. The teams who put this together (Toys for Bob) have made it from a real place of love for the game, which you can see in the details that have gone in to it. Everyone involved has painstakingly re-crafted each world over the three games, never leaving anything out and adding new small details that make all the difference and really bring the world’s to life.
My only gripe is the loading times. They’re just long enough for you to wonder if something has gone wrong, but nothing has.
Would highly recommend to anyone new to the series or to someone who wants to replay them all! It’s as your mind imagined them when you were a child!

The Spyro you need and deserve
A higher quality visualisation of the original games. Still excellent and lots of fun with better graphics and better sound quality.
A must have for fans of Spyro who don’t want to dust off an old ps. A little patience as you download the extras when you insert the disk but it’s worth it for 3 whole games!
When I heard they were remaking the original 3 Spyro The Dragon games I was over the moon and have anticipated the release. From the moment you start the game you are greeted with a beautiful world that is familar. The enemies have new actions and i’d say on some levels much more difficult to beat than the original which is fine as it makes you feel like it’s a new game.
My main issue is that Spyro does not glide very well and i’m so used to jumping at the top of the glide like in the original but he just smacks into walls and falls making you loose lives. I hope a patch comes soon to fix this.
The only issue I have is with the the physical disc and the lack of data on it. Only 200mb requiring a 42gb download. The wait is lengthy depending on your internet speed so patience is required.

Having had two older siblings, I played this game occasionally when I was younger, it’s always been one that stuck in my head and i remembered only snippets of. But playing this triggered all memories of it now I can’t get enough! Brilliant job!
Not sure why other reviewers are moaning about the download, it’s quite normal especially in the PC gaming world (buy disk, download game). Discs often used as access keys to play the game.
Anyway, I bought the game off the Xbox store itself, so the game downloaded last week but came available on the 13th.
If you love Spyro as a kid and want to relive some memeroies, this game is fantastic.
Anyway who wants to play a classic platformer, this game is fantastic.

Took 3 hours to download last night, but dragon-crazy daughter really enjoying this today! Spyro super-cute (yawns as idle animation…). We’ve got other earlier Spyro games and this doesn’t disappoint. So good to have him back. Lots of fun.
If buying as a Christmas present would suggest downloading the night before to avoid Christmas Day frustration!

The games are fantastic, faithfully remade with the necessary fixes for the jump from PS1 to the current generation. I luckily have good internet but be warned, Activision have promoted a shady business tatic of having Spyro 2 and Year Of The Dragon as quintessentially a massive download to meet the Christmas period, I’d honestly advise if you have got bad or no internet to avoid the game as the 2nd and 3rd games will be essentially be unobtainable for you.
