This was a really nice acquisition. The violin is gorgeous. I really like it.
The only problem is that even it is an electric violin, it makes some noise without headphones or amplifier.

Great value instrument, good sound, easy to tune. Recomend for anyone wanting an electric violin but be warned it’s not “silent”. Much quieter than std violin though & with the mp3 input does everything required.
Overall a surprisingly good instrument for the price….build, sound & service above expectations.

Ottimo violino elettrico, prezzo basso qualit alta, dovete cambiare solo le corde per migliorare il suono. La custodia non rigida e non protegge bene il violino quindi dovete comprare altra custodia per il resto tutto ok il villino buono
lo ho amato, peccato non venisse con una cassa per poterlo affinare, pazienza ne comprer una a parte e potr affinarlo. semplicemente magnifico, lo ami
acquistato per poter suonare il violino senza problemi di orari, e senza litigare coi vicini. Il violino non muto, nel senso che anche senza cuffie un certo rumore lo fa, si sente lo sfregamento delle corde….ma a finestre chiuse direi che non un rumore che pu arrivare dai vicini. Con le cuffie invece tutta un’altra cosa….suono pulito e chiaro, con possibilit di regolare il volume. Buon acquisto sicuramente per principianti, pi in l non saprei.

A great violin would recommend to anyone wanting to try electric. Good sound and a good kit. Delivery was good and ahead of time. The colour is more antique white rather than white.

Le cuffie non sono di alta qualit; al contempo sia i piroli, sia le corde e l’archetto sono composti di ottimi materiali.
Per 130 euro non si pu trovare di meglio.
Il pacco arrivato velocemente, il colore mi piace tantissimo e il violino suona bene. Devo solo capire cosa serve l’entrata ”mp3 in”.
Lo strumento finito molto bene ed ha una buona acustica, quindi lo consiglio per il buon rapporto qualit prezzo.

La corda del sol perde l’accordatura troppo in fretta, e la batteria da 9 volt nn sta nel suo apposito vano, quindi la tiene ferma lo sportellino di chiusura. Spero non si rompa in fretta.
A ver, voy por partes.
He estado 10 minutos leyendo las reseas que pone la gente sobre el violin y he visto reviews por youtube. Si me tuviese que regir por las reseas de amazon no lo hubiese comprado porque la gente dice que no suena o que no va, etc. Sinceramente los acabados son algo toscos pero el precio es el que es, no se puede pedir ms
El violin, al menos el mo y por ahora funciona bien.
Pasamos a la afinacin, no hay problema ninguno. El problema lo tiene que la gente no sabe. Si mandan el violin afinado se puede romper por la tensin. El puente no salta, ni se desajustan las tensiones porque sea malo. Nada de nada. Para afinar empieza por la cuerda SOL/G y sigue una a una hasta MI/E. NO tenses en este momento hasta su nota porque puede saltar el puente o partir algo. Ve girando las clavijas poco a poco hasta que vayan sonando como deberan (si no lo sabes usa apps en el mvil que te dan el tono correcto). Ve ajustando el puente a la vez porque tiene que ir en su sitio (perpendicular a las cuerdas). Y cuando gires las clavijas tienes que presionarlas hacia dentro para que la presin sostenga la tensin. Otro consejo que evita dolores de cabeza, coge un lpiz normal y frota tanto la parte superior del batidor como el puente para que lubrique las zonas y evite que se enganche o se genere un estrs adicional en esas zonas de contacto y partan las cuerdas.
Igualmente, la resina que viene es mala, el arco no es de calidad y las cuerdas del violin son malas, los auriculares tampoco son buenos, lgicamente, el cable no lo he usado. Es un violin barato electrico. El siguiente escalon son +1000. Si le pones unas cuerdas decentes, usas un buen arco y sabes tocar tienes de sobra. Un arco decente son 100, unas cuerdas buenas sobre 40-50 y una resina buena 10-15.
Ahora bien, tendra que traer una gua para principiantes que no saben usarlo para evitar estas valoraciones de que no se puede afinar, etc.
Ah, aadir un afinador al pedido si no tienes el odo desarrollado puede ser bueno para no romper nada y saber que est todo OK.
P.D: Despus de probarlo unas horas me reafirmo, pese a que ciertos aspectos son toscos y mejorables (se pueden solucionar de manera sencilla) tras ponerle unas cuerdas decentes y ajustar todo como debera ir (la cuerda mi cambiadla por una con canutillo protector para que no corte el puente que al ser tan fina puede ocurrir) el violn es ms que decente y por lo que cuesta encontrar algo parecido es muy complicado. Sin duda lo volvera a compra
I’m a session player. Got this as an emergency substitute for a Bridge model that had to go in for repair. Though it’s patently not as well-built as the Bridge or the other expensive electrics I’ve had, it works just as well once it’s gone through pedalboard, mixer, et al. Mine played OK straight out of the box too. Don’t be deterred by the violin snob factor – it’s a really impressive instrument for a fraction of the price of upscale electrics.

Mich faszinierten immer schon die klassischen Klnge von Klavier und Violine. Als absolutet Anfnger und Autoditakt kann ich natrlich wenig ber die Klangqualitt sagen.
Das mitgelieferte Rosin anfangs aufrauhen, dann kann man mit dem Bogen darberstreichen.
Zum Spannen der Saiten, also um sie gespannt zu halten, muss man die Stifte fest reindrcken (konisch geformt)
Sono alle prime armi col violino ma sembra un ottimo strumento per i principianti. ben lavorato nessun difetto di fabbricazione e di verniciatura. Suona bene ed molto bello. L’ unica cosa che potevano migliorare secondo me il peso. Comunque per quello che l’ ho pagato pi che ottimo.
Wonderful piece for beginners
This instrument has a nice sound and it feels sturdy, I have high hopes that this will stand the test of time. It has survived me (a clueless beginner) changing its strings and everything. Nice pickups and sounds good when plugged in. Great value for what you get for your money. Get yourself a shoulder rest, nice strings, and a high quality bow and you definitley have something that will see you through from beginner to intermediate playing.
I bought this violin so I could practise without disturbing my father in law next door.
This violin is everything I expected and I am really really glad I ordered it.
It is soo quiet and does not get out of tune quickly ( at the beginning it did but after a while it becomes quite stable).
I have not had the money to change the strings or anything yet but for the time being the strings that came with it will have to do.
As I am only really using it for practising it does not matter too much to me.
The only thing I would say is that it is quite heavy so if you practise with this for about half an hour your acoustic violin will feel like a cloud after.
If you live in a tiny flat and have paperthin walls- this violin should do the trick 🙂
Really excellent value for the money . I am a retired music teacher , just wanting to play for fun now. With a decent mixer I have been amazed at the quality of this instrument. I think it really does have a professional performance sound. Of course the playing does help !

As a professional violinist that has started to play in shows, for the price this is excellent. I’ve tried many of the more expensive electrics and I hear my bow going up and down (eh eh eh sound) especially on reels and jigs I didn’t like the sound. But this one I have no problem. Also it does help if you have a good sound engineer to hand to get the sound your wanting.

El violin responde genial y suena bien, lo que le falla son los componentes, por una parte las cuerdas, que no resisten el sonido muy bien y se rompen con facilidad y por otra el arco, que no tiene muy buena calidad. Pero por lo dems, estoy muy contenta!

Its my first so i dont know how good they are supposed to sound. pretty decent build, nice design and not too cheap looking or feeling. Needs tuning a little too much and often, but i think that is what to be expected at this range. sounds a bit thin, but i use production sequencers with good distortions and effects that make it sound GREAT if you know what u are doing. or try a guitar amp.
I recommend it in this price range.
Pros: this is a great looking instrument which has potential. To my ears after a few hours of getting used to it, it can sound REALLY good. You get a lot for your money, the supplied headphones are ok too and useful. Strings are adequate for starters, which is by no means guaranteed with instruments in this price range.
Cons: I wouldn’t recommend this straight out of the box and I’m dubious about its long term stability but time will tell. If you play it hard, particularly double stops, it will distort in the on-board preamp – fortunately this is just a bit of grit which you can view as character. Bow is dire but any fiddle bow you’ve got will do. I use an incredibow and a 50 carbon bow.
Overall: You have to approach this as a cheap instrument which does what it does. Don’t expect the earth and you won’t be disappointed.
Things I recommend:
1. Lower the bridge. Like a lot of internet fiddles (I’ve bought a good few…) it’s MUCH too high. Unfortunately it sits on a raised platform containing the pickup, but it’s a standard bridge, hence the problem. There are 2 issues here: the action is too high to play it properly, and the strings create stresses in the S shaped frame which both bend and twist the body. Lowering the bridge helps with both. There is only just enough ‘land’ in the bridge to do this and the action is still a bit high but it’s a lot better and it becomes decently playable. Get help with this if you’re not confident, you need a pencil, a stanley knife and a piece of sandpaper. It’s worth it. (For the record, and bear in mind that I am a bit of a perfectionist geek about my instruments, I am also considering changing the bridge completely for a solid one made of something which might not be wood, so that it can be made low enough to do the job properly, but to get up and running you can get by with the bridge supplied.)
2. Use light gauge strings, when you change them, e.g. light tension D’Addario Preludes. The stresses in the body are considerable with medium strings (as supplied, presumably) and it’s worth noting that it’s at its weakest near the bridge (the point of maximum torsion stress in this design), where the battery compartment is routed out. Bad bit of design, but hey ho, we’re stuck with it and fingers crossed it won’t have issues with long term structural stability.
3. Take it with you when you go to buy an amplifier. Due to the onboard preamp it may not suit all amps and the amplifier is at least as important as the fiddle in determining the sound you will get from the combination.
4. Don’t use the battery supplied even to try it out. Get a decent battery, it really makes a difference to the sound.
In conclusion: I like it. A lot. It’s not perfect, but for 89 of your British Pounds it’s a steal, and did I mention IT LOOKS FANTASTIC?
Shame this wasn’t the colour it was supposed to be. The metallic one exists as EVN 4/4 MBK if that’s what you want. An ok instrument as supplied, but it has potential and looks the part – I got a metallic red one at the same time and I’m posting a full review there because there’s a lot to say. Note that you’ll find different reviews under different colours – they are all the same instrument under the skin although the price often varies too for some reason. The bow is awful, don’t even bother to try to rosin it to try it out.

As described and a lot of fiddle for your money. Great practice instrument keeps local pets and neighbours happy and allows you to get the work in so when you gig you are up to scratch.
Wow, what an amazing e-violin for the total newbie – relatively quiet played acoustically so you don’t upset the housemates and sounds fab thru the headphones (supplied) and with a touch of reverb on my Laney guitar amp. I AM IN LOVE!
Get past the small things...
A small scuff and a little divity/dent on the product. Barely noticeable but that’s just an aesthetic thing (hence not 5 stars). The pegs slip a bit when first trying to tune (manage to break a string as it kept pulling out a tune)…but I figure, if I get new strings that should make up for it!
Either way though, the sound I have got out of the other three strings and the electric functions are awesome..you just need to get past the first few little niggles here and there. The battery function/headphone function are way better than what I thought it might sound like.
All in all I give this 4 stars (just because there were a few bits here and there that made me thing ‘Oh :/’. But overall a brilliant product, and a beautiful colour!
Great value for money for a novice player. It arrived the day after orIt comes with a nice case. Agree with the other reviewers that new strings and a new bridge greatly improve the tone (as well as a quality bow). It sounds great when plugged into an amplifier. I’m very happy with this purchase – I initially looked at far more expensive options, but for the amount I’m going to use it, this is much better value. And it looks really funky as well. My chin rest tends to slip off the shiny varnish – I found that a little duct tape on the corner of the instrument greatly improved the grip.
I’m play the violin on a medium expertise level. I have been using my acuostic version for past 20 yrs but when it got damaged I thought I should go for an electric model to spice up my notes! And although I knwo this if far from perfect and professional, its is just what I have been looking for for the price. Its has a lovely metallic blue colour and I got cracking straight away.
As expected, it is much heavier than the acoustic and I needed to get a shoulder rest as well. The strings and bow arent the best and could be changed it give a more neater sound.
All in all 5 stars from me!
Ich habe diese Violine bestellt um beim ben meine Nachbarn nicht in den Wahnsinn zu treiben. Diese Violine ist selbstredend bei diesem Preis nicht das Top-Produkt, aber ein solides und gnstiges Starterset.
Gerade Anfnger, die sich nicht sicher sind, ob sie das ben durchhalten werden, sind hiermit gut bedient. Die Verarbeitung ist ok, wenn man auch vorsichtig mit dem Instrument umgehen sollte.
Ich hatte dieses Instrument schon fast wieder zurckgeschickt, weil ich keinen vernnftigen Ton aus ihm herausbekommen habe. Das lag allerdings an deutlich zu wenig Kolophonium auf dem Bogen. Streicht den Bogen ordentlich ein! Kolophonium ist im Koffer mit enthalten.
Ich mag diese Geige und ihr schnes Design und freue mich auch viele Stunden des Musizierens 🙂

I’m a professional violinist used to good hand made violins.I bought this for a bit of fun to do a Lindsey Stirling impersonation for a friends birthday party.I was expecting this to be rubbish actually and was most pleasantly suprised ! It tuned up really easily and stayed in tune,hardly any work at all to make it feel good and playable .Had to fine sand the sides of the fingerboard a little to make it more comfortable for position changes.Slightly heavier than a normal violin.But the pick up was great ! not quite as good as my professional fishmans pick-up butstill good!! but that cost way more than this whole violin package .I’m giving it 5 stars because it was really great and it looked wonderful.Yay I love my electric blue Stagg violin !!

Cool if weightier than a traditional violin, this has been ideal for re-learning violin without distress to those nearest and dearest. The design makes some rarely required positions a little harder, but it was more appealing than the ‘f’ design. The facility for headphones without need for any extra amps, leads and faff is a nice touch.

It is a really good violin, however the bow is really bad, but the violin is perfect.
This is absolutely gorgeous. I bought this as a birthday present for my son whose initial is ‘S’ and he is delighted with it. It is well made and is very eye-catching. What’s more, it arrived ahead of time which was very beneficial to me.
