Poor value for money due to poor build in parts
Decent microwave functions (though 90% of them are not needed) but LED screen stopped working. This means that product is poor value for money considering there is little (if any) added quality for the money. I would opt for something else with a longer all around lifespan.
Amazing, Love I
I’ve been using this for a while now and I’m in absolute love with this. I’ve a large family so having one that works and looks good is a blessing. This does that and more.
Really like the design of this microwave and it is easy to use at the same time. Easy to clean with a damp cloth both inside and outside and the controls are simple unlike some microwave models.
The beep when the microwave is finished is very loud which is useful for hearing from another room but a bit surprising at first if you aren’t expecting it.
Lovely microwave but stopped working after a year, I’ve had microwaves last a good few year but this one the bulb went first then it stopped heating food properly, asked to swap for another couldn’t do that as amazon wasn’t the seller, asked for amazon to sort it out with Swan but they were never avaliable, after a couple of weeks I decided to just accept the refund, now back to finding a new microwave, absolute nightmare
I ummed and ahhhed for ages before getting this but I’m so glad I got it. Its beautiful and really easy to use and a perfect fit, not too overbearing size wise.
Fine and nice looking but the timer is a bit puzzling.
It looks great – does the job but the timer is a bit less straightforward then my old microwave.
Gorgeous Microwave
This is a lovely microwave really simple to use. My only complaint is when it arrived it has some sticky residue. Almost like a large sticker had been pulled off. Which has left the finish uneven, but we should be able to get this off after a few cleans
Stopped working out of nowhere
100 microwave stopped working 2 years later. In last 18 years I have bought only 2 cheap 35 worth microwaves, none of them broke. At this rate the quality of “Scandinavian look”18 years will cost me 900 only on microwaves. Not to mention all the effect on the environment – binning them every two years! Worst investment ever!

Great looking microwave, love the soft touch matte effect and the wood effect brings something wonderful to its look, however I wish someone had reviewed this against the rest of the Nordic Slate Grey range as the colour difference is vast. The microwave is darker wood and a different grain completely to the kettle and toaster and the ‘Slate Grey’ is a few shades darker. lucky for me my microwave is on a different worktop at the opposite side of my kitchen so it’s not glaringly obvious but if you plan on having the range side by side it is something to be mindful of before purchasing.
All in all a great little microwave and worth the price

Not sure about the bad reviews here. I’ve had this microwave for a while, don’t really like them but bought it to heat up these fitness meals that must be heated in microwave.

perfect delivery. super fast and efficient. however, a part of the microwave came loose inside it and in the manual it was written that I should make sure it was securely fastened. I snapped it but I don’t think it could be loose 🙁

Very pleased with this purchase- I would call it a warm white and it blends nicely with my cream colour kitchen units. The handle is quite a dark oak colour. Takes a large Denby dinner plate for a small microwave. Easy to use & much smaller than previous microwave.

Easy to use and works well. The light inside is pointless as you can’t see anything through the door. Hard to clean and the coating to sides and handle seem like they could be scratched off at any careless moment. Your paying for the looks not an advanced microwave.

Also reasonably affordable within the market place & longevity of their products equall to say the more expensive other brands of manufactures available to the Customer within the market place. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their goods whatsoever. “Outstanding & Very Stylish & easily ie Functional. So far so good
Well designed and easy to use. Only time will tell about its longevity. This is a replacement for 2 Russell Hobbs microwaves. One lasted 10 months, the second lasted 4 months. Both only lightly used.
I had to email the company to figure out how to set the timing but they responded quickly. It says differently on the manual that came with.
It looks very nice on the kitchen counter, is easy to clean, and good value too. The surface is matte grey and has a nice feel to it. It seems like it could be scratched easily though, but hasn’t happened yet in 2 months and I’m the sort that use and abuses. No complaints at all!
Value for money smart design microwave
We have been looking for some time for a good value for money for our previous microwave oven which stopped working after over 10 years.
The Swan microwave is very easy to use. We have started using it for cooking frozen jacket potatoes but we are sure we will be looking into finding other uses for it.
Lovely microwave
Great little microwave. So easy to use and keep clean. It’s my second swan microwave in the last 5 yrs. compact and stylish. Only use for heating and defrosting. Highly recommend
Nice looking microwave
It is a very good-looking microwave. It is somewhat less powerful than our previous 800w microwave, warming up the same food takes around 1/4 longer. The finishing noise is loud, you won’t miss it, there are reminder beeps if you don’t take the food out of the microwave.
Lovely to look a
Very pleased with this microwave. I downsized and had no built in microwave but prefer this sitting on worktop. I only ever used a microwave to heat things up despite having an all singing all dancing one before so this is perfect. It’s simple to use and has more functions and I’ve actually used the defrost mode with this although I need to read the instructions to do more. Knowing me I’ll still just use it mainly for heating up beans etc !
First broke, second seems to still work
First one barely worked a few weeks, but did get a replacement which was good news. The new one seems to currently be behaving.
This is another case of a product of this range not quite being right. Items that was microwave safe for all my old microwaves seemed to upset this one, be careful of any product that might have any metallic content going inside, including food apparently.
The digital display went whack and even resetted itself or even turned off.
My replacement seems to be working OK, but it’s a bit sad when my newest microwave is so sensitive I have to stop using products my old microwaves happily heated up without a problem.
More blue than grey...
Easy to use and well designed. Just a shame that it’s more blue in colour than the kettle and toaster available as part of the same range.
The door is also a slightly different colour to the body of the microwave.

Got this to go with other things in the Nordic range so you pay a bit more for the look. Practically it does what every microwave does but looks nice while it’s doing it. Digital settings are a bit fiddly but I only use it for heating things up so i haven’t bothered to master it!
Beautiful but not as brillia
It doesn’t heat up as much so you do need to keep the food in an entire minute longer than any other microwave I’ve ever had before which is disappointing. It is very beautiful, easy to clean and the functions are so easy to use. Slightly overpriced – you’re paying more for the beauty than you are for the function.
Flimsy internal pa
I was not aware that the microwave had this very flimsy internal sort of cover to an opening in the microwave on the right hand side wall. I simply took a wet cloth and wiped the inside of the microwave which bent this item and the little tabs broke off instantly. Without it i think my food reheats unevenly.. not great for a premium microwave.
Style and substance combined
Wanted something a little more elegant than the usual white/silver/black microwaves. This combines style with substance. Been using for 6 months and no problems so far, very happy with it!
Excellent unit and good value for price microwave
Excellent microwave. Works great. Spacious inside as can fit large dinner sized plate. Good height inside. Quiet when nuking food and drinks.
Only down points are the clock is Very bright and the unit lacks a kitchen timer feature.
The wood effect handle and knob etc are an excellent accent feature as is the mirror door going transparent when cooking.
Great looking machine
Microwave looks really smart and a definitely a eye catcher for any kitchen. We went with green colour and glad we did, its nice. The top of the microwave looks like it could scratch real easy so if your buying one and putting things on top I probably wouldn’t go for this one, or put a protective mat on it.

Nordic set is ideal
Perfect microwave,seems smaller than expected but fits normal size plates. Got the matching kettle,toaster and kitchen roll holder from same nordic swan collection and loving the whole set.
Attractive though just average functionally
This is a very attractive and fairly easy to use microwave. The wood handle and dial are indeed much darker with more grains than the picture. It takes longer than other microwaves we’ve had in the past to heat food, even on full power and it is quite loud (when heating and the beeping). Considering it sits on our kitchen counter more than it gets used, I’m happy with it because it looks great.

Looks lovely. Really pleased with it! Careful as the handle isnt the exact match with the handle of the kettle. Not that noticeable if there is distance between the both.
Looks Grea
I have only given it 4 stars as the first one we received didn’t work. It lit up and turned – but no heat. The replacement and return process was really easy and fuss free.
The microwave is very sleek, soft to touch ( I know random, but true it has a silky feel), and of course does the usual things I microwave does. I would recommend and think it looks super stylish in the kitchen.
Beautiful looking design suits our kitchen perfectly.
I think It’s a bit on the small side personally though. A large Starbucks cup for example will fit inside but the door opening is so narrow (in height) that you have to tilt the cup, potentially spilling your Caramel Brule Latte in the process!
I also think that the 800watt power rating is a little over stated – our old 800w microwave seemed a little faster/hotter, don’t get me wrong, it’s there’s not a huge difference, I don’t have a ‘proper’ way of testing its power output, I’m not “comparing eggs with eggs”, so I might be doing it an injustice.
Overall it is a great little “mee-cro-wa-vay” as Nigella Lawson likes to say

Pretty simple to use. Love the design, the only issue I have is that the wood on the handle does not match with the ( matching) kettle and toaster but pretty minor.
Highly recommend, great value and easy to use.
I absolutely love this microwave. I read loads of microwave reviews and this seemed to be overall the best. I went for the green colour. The door has a mirrored effect so it looks really good. The microwave is so easy to use and I am absolutely delighted with it. Also when I open the microwave door, it stays firm on the unit so the weight balance is good. I highly recommend the microwave and it was a really good price and value for money.
Quality appliance
Good looking machine, not particularly big so check the dimensions. What l like most about it is the way it feels (!) It has a smooth quality coating which I really like. Needless to say it works perfectly well too.
Good compact microwave
This is a good compact microwave, bought several months ago. It works well and is easy to clean – I like the neat Scandi style and simple dial. The ‘ready’ alert is a little louder than other microwaves; another good feature is that the alert sounds again if after a few minutes you haven’t removed your dish.

So ordered the microwave kettle and toaster in grey. And have to say the microwave is a different tone of grey almost blueish in some lights not overly a problem for me but might be if your going to get the set. Overall very nice looking and modern. Just not if you want the set they won’t match

This microwave with the matching toaster and kettle look great across the kitchen work surface. The kettle in particular looks fantastic. The m/wave is a little small but for single occupancy will be fine.

Promptly delivered and well-wrapped. I was pleased with the design and colour of of this smallish microwave which fits well withe the smallish kitchen.. First time I’ve used a microwave and disappointed the instruction booklet was not as clear and simple as I would have liked.
This microwave looks really nice, works well, and is value for money. I would give it 5 stars, but had to give it 4 because the clock is fast, very fast. After only 1 month it was fast by 4 minutes. So after a year that translates to an astonishing 48 minutes! How can you get the clock wrong? It’s the most simple thing to program (being a programmer, I know). Now I’m stuck with resetting it manually every month.
I appreciate the clock is a secondary function, but in a kitchen with a few clocks, it’s nice to have them all synchronised.
Other than that, very good, small and modern microwave.
Nice design, two for one produc
Great looking microwave, unlike other reviews came with the plate intact and no damage.
Can’t tell what it cooks like yet cause despite us need one ‘really urgently’ it’s not been switched on yet!!
Almost a two for one product as you won’t need any LED under cupboard or kickboard lights if you do buy one cause the clock is so bright, if you have an allergy to bright lights (like a gremlin) it may be worth sticking some black tape over the display at night!

Love the look
A more expensive microwave I would say but I purchased for the smaller size and mostly the look which I’m really happy with. Had quite a few months now and still looking great. Cleans up nicely. Works as you would expect a microwave to function. You need to read the book to work out the functions but then easy enough to use.
This microwave has been great so far. I’ve been using it for about 6 weeks and can’t find much to fault it. Defrosts and cooks as well as I’d expect a microwave to cook. I’ve made jacket potatoes, cooked veg, scrambled eggs and defrosted food.
It is a little hard to see inside the microwave at the stuff that’s cooking but no big deal. Downside is you can’t change the volume of the beeps when it is done as they are pretty loud!
Gorgeous looking but a bit noisy for us
This microwave is very aesthetically pleasing looks great in the kitchen especially with the wood effect matching the surfaces. However had i realised how loud the beeps are i probably wouldn’t have bought it, as having a toddler and a baby the beeps can disturb naps!
Smart addition to the kitche
Microwave looks smart on kitchen top, bought with the matching kettle – the wooden effect handles are slightly different shades however as they are not placed together it is not an issue.
Stylish but expensive
I like the look of this microwave and it’s ease of use. However i had an issue with mine that the table would not rotate some of the time, it’s like it was slipping a gear. The technical support from Swan was appalling, quite simply “deal with your retailer”. Amazon was obviously amazing and sent a replacement the next day and collected the old one, all for free. Also the beeps are unnecessarily loud. The table on my new unit works fine.
Looks great and easy to use
Love the way it looks! Have never had a microwave before, my teenage daughter wanted one! It’s so easy to use and keep clean. Used for rehearing and got chocolate. I still prefer cooking by gas!
OK, I was swayed by the look of this microwave because most microwaves are, let’s face it, plain ugly! This one is super stylish, but not at the expense of its usability. Simple button and dials, and after reading the instructions a few times, I now understand what does what! It’s not a huge microwave either, so looks neat on the counter top, but has large enough capacity for our needs. It’s not the cheapest microwave around, but it’s certainly value for money.
I really like the look and feel of this microwave and people often compliment the look of it. It has a ceramic grey coating and the wood effect surfaces are slightly rubbery but has a softer touch than hard plastics and feels premium. I would say is the ease of use could be a bit simpler but overall very happy with it. Has worked perfectly so far, will update this review if i have any problems.
So far so good! Had it a week and seems ok. Easy to use, heats food quickly on the express setting and the defrost is really rapid and useful. Fits nicely against the wall, compact with no bits sticking out !
I wanted a compact, simple, easy to use and relatively cheap microwave that would blend into our cream and wood kitchen. This fits the bill. It has a button for 30 seconds microwaving, a button for 1 minute microwaving and you can use the dial to increase or decrease the time once it’s running too. It has several power settings so you can decrease it for defrosting etc. There are some preset menus which I would never use but all microwaves seem to have this feature which I find pointless. Have been using a few weeks and it’s going fine so far.
Update…. I’ve noticed that the digital clock gains a minute every few days, so I have to alter this whenever it gets too inaccurate. Slightly annoying.
We bought one of these in cream/wood finish primarily on looks. No other microwave adds to the aesthetics of a kitchen like this does. I also love the fact that it has tactile buttons, i.e. raised buttons that are easy to press and NOT those annoying hard press sunken things you get on other microwaves.
The dial is also a lovely addition. Most of us use a microwave for 2 or 3 things. Press the express button to get 30 seconds on the clock and then you can twist the dial to increase that to 1 min or 2 min (in 10s increments), which to me is much more satisfying than repeated button pushes.
The construction of this is absolutely on par with anything else. Samsung pr whatever I’ve no doubts about that. Any concerns anyone has raised about moisture or anything like that would apply to any other microwave.
Looks fantastic in my kitche
I love it. Very cool design, it matches with my kitchen perfectly as I have it in white and wood colour. I am looking forward to by the matching toaster too. Unfortunately my current roster is still working so I hope they still make this model by the time I need to by a new one.
Performance is excellent and very easy to use. All of the extra features are a bonus.
I am very happy with my purchase at the moment and i have not found anything that I don’t like so far.
