Early morning tea
Replacement of previous Swan teasmade. Wouldn’t be without it. Used one for 40 years. I don’t care if other people scoff at the idea.

A great bedside companion!
Have used this Teasmade every day since purchasing. It is neat, takes minimal space and provides two generous cups of hot tea or coffee. The clock dims at night so is unobtrusive but easy to read. Most importantly the Teasmade is sturdy and safe. Would not be without one now, both for making our “wake-up” cup of coffee and our bedtime Earl Grey Tea!

I have now had a chance to use this twice. It is absolutely brilliant and I thank Swan for continuing to make this product. It is the perfect wake-up alarm – what could be better than a tea or coffee to start the day? Currently I am using a herbal tea bag but I presume any tea/tea bags would work as would instant coffee …
It does precisely what it is designed to do time after time after time!
My Late Wife and I have had a Teasmade for the whole of Our Married Lives (51 Years and 2 weeks) and the new Teasmade which I have just bought was a replacement for the previous one which had lasted at least 10 years and was used every morning without fail. The new set which I have just purchased is as good or better than any I have had previously so, Congratulations to Swann on an excellent Product.
Not as good as earlier models
This was bought to replace a PhotoFrame Teasmade. The features I don’t like are 1) not a flat surface at the top 2) the alarm is almost inaudible 3) any interruption to the power supply resets the clock (both time of day and when to boil) to 12:00. Setting the times are slightly easier and the large light is useful. Otherwise, it does the job and makes the tea.
Very easy to use and quick to boil.
This is a great teasmade, which is easy to use. I like the way that the light on the display dims as the light reduces, however I find it is still too bright and have to cover it during the night.
This model has a reading light which is really useful.
The signal to tell you that the tea is ready has changed from a high pitched noise to a flashing light.

Seems okay. Sleek design. One problem is that you have to press quite hard to turn the main light on and unless you hold the unit it slides across the table
my only gripe is the delivery. I set a day where I would be home but it arrived day before I arrived home and had been thrown over my garden wall. Who in their right mind thinks an electrical piece of equipment can survive that? Luckily it was packed and doesn’t seem to be broken but time will tell. The box and the instructions were sodden and I’m not very impressed with The delivery service

Ah, mum was really surprised to receive this present. Handy for them, saving them bringing hot drinks up stairs in the morning. Best way to start the day.

This is the first of this model I’ve tried. But the third Swan teasmade I’ve had in less than a year. Not terribly keen on the large lamp so close to where you fill the kettle. But it’s ok so far. The other two models stopped working after 6 months, so I’m hoping for better from this model.
Nice little tea make
It’s a very good product apart from the lid..it should be a flat lid so you can use it to put cups on it. Otherwise it’s perfect..would like real clock hands though

Better than an alarm clock
I love it! I have always wanted one and treated myself to this and it is all what I expected. I prepare it the night before with water, ready to wake up to. I like the option to make a cup on demand. This is a nice addition to my working from home office. Just lovely, no issues and I have had it for a few months now.

Teasmade
Bought this for my mother in-law after she damaged her old one. She so pleased with this product. For her it’s easy to use gives up to four cups of tea she could not be happier with this product.
My original teasmade was bought from the UK and had sprung a leak. I was desperate to replace it – I use it daily to wake up to my hot pot of tea! Luckily I found it on Amazon, put in an order and it arrived promptly to Australia. (You do have to change the UK plug to an Australian plug to use) All in one piece including ceramic teapot and it works beautifully. Thank goodness!
Just like the 'old' days
As I am getting older and wishing to have a morning ‘cuppa’ in bed, this Teasmade fits the bill. A little larger than I remember, but just as good.
Could be better, could even be excellent.
Four stars, but maybe should be three. This is a hairsbreadth off being excellent. My immediate reaction to the teasmade is influenced by the enclosed leaflet, which does not show all correct icons for the buttons and fails to describe how to set it for. morning tea! I had to go on the internet to download the correct manual and I assume that the leaflet enclosed was printed in China. A few issues. There is no backup battery, so if there is even a momentary power cut, the time reverts to 12.00, and so no morning tea! Even moving the unit to another location or inadvertently disconnecting the power, the clock and alarm have to be reset. The alarm is very quiet and if you are a deep sleeper then you might miss your cuppa. The brightness of the clock is not able to be adjusted and already my teasmaid is living under a cloth cover as it is too bright. The teasmaid could be used both for bedside and also for another location in the bedroom and the ability to adjust clock brightness might accomodate this choice. The twelve hour clock also means that you can’t reset the unit until the evening unless you want to waste a cuppa in the early evening. Given the easy accessibility of very sophisticated chips with lots of menu features and a backup battery the designers have missed out on making this a very good product, and have opted for an “adequate” rating from me.

I have been working on the best Alarm clock to actually motivate me to get up rather than press the snooze button ….this is it. Works perfectly . A few points to note
1) I orginally had the non digital version with ticking clock. in some ways a beter design with the tray but the ticking was unbearable so it got shoved in a cupboard for a few years now looking to sell it
2) the light on the digital one is bright and my partner is especially sensitive to light however i cover the machine with a black cloth at night and its perfect no light and still alarm in morning with tea.
So i can highly rate the digital l version as close to briilliant – shame a bout the light it be great if it could be switched off and it had the tray like the non digital version. But i wouldn’t live without it now very happy with my morning cuppa
I requested this as a birthday present for myself due to an existing spinal injury whilst waiting for surgery ..in the meantime I fell down the stairs and ended up in hospital with soft tissue damage and bed bound so I ordered this early for myself and my god what an absolute god send !!!!
The only downside is that the little ceramic notches inside to hold the lid on have come off so I have to careful when pouring but it means I am self reliant on making a brew at whatever time of day or night I’m awake. Can’t recommend this enough!!!!!

Life changing
I bought this as a gift ( but of fun) for my wife at Christmas. However, she absolutely loves it. She said the quiet boiling noise wakes her up gently to a hot cuppa well actually two as it big enough. The retro style went down well too. So big hit all round here!
Excellent for that daily cuppa but...
… daily use and ready 6 to use. litre capacity good for two mugs. I tend to refill, so used twice daily.
However, this is my 2nd one. They tend to last 2 years until they start to leak.
The jugs are easy to replace if you drop one (!).
We cannot do without it! About to buy my 3rd unit!

Clocks too bright in the dark
I love this product and to wake up to a pot of tea has revolutionised my morning. The clock does still glow quite brightly in the dark and from an angle you can’t see the hour and minute hands. I now wear an eye mask as I can only sleep in darkness. May be better with a numerical clock with black back ground and green or red numbers to cut back on the light coming off it in the dark
Can’t live without this
Couldn’t live without this. Easy to set up and use – quite noisy when boiling but as it’s an alarm I guess it’s not a biggie. Need to find a nice small thermos milk bottle though. Great to have a cuppa in bed on a wintry monrnjnf.

I was used to being brought tea in bed every morning by my husband despite his dementia. Sadly he had to go into care after 3 months of going downstairs with an injured foot I bought this teas made. Love it, love it, love it. The quality of the materials used is not as good as it was 30 years ago but it is adequate

Our old teasmade finally bit the dust so as we could not live without we replaced it. And it is just as good.

Nothing to dislike about it, easy to use love the light on it too. Having had two bouts of illness and being bed bound it so easy to have a cup of tea, it make two cups. If you don’t make sure you have the teapot in properly it can leak. Easy to get it set right.

I love my teasmade. Its actually my third one, the previous one I dumped when after about 11 years it started to leak a little from the tank. Like all small regularly used appliances they eventually die of old age and need replaced. But its an awesome machine, delivering a lovely pot of tea every morning. I do not use the alarm function, just press the tea now button in the morning. I put milk in my mug, which sits bedside overnight. It does not go off unless it was iffy in the first place. Thats only happened 2 or 3 times. Its not a big deal.

The Alarm after tea made will not wake you!!
Once the tea is made the light flashes for a few minutes there is also supposed to be an alarm however you will never hear this. I spoke to the manufacturers and was told that is the only volume. I took the product to the local service centre to confirm and they came up with same answer not loud enough to wake you.

The only niggle is the blue light on the clock face it’s extremely bright and almost serves as a night light!
Although it doesn’t bother me unduly it does my husband and so I cover it with something dark. Problem solved!

bought as a gift for my mum who’s 83 and she found it easy to use and loves it.
We do love this, it’s great to have by our bed. But…..the blue light is just too bright! We’ve cut out a bit of card and stuck it over the clock bit, but it still shines through the buttons. Come on, Swan! The light either needs not to be there at all or be able to be turned off!

The fault it that the newer items (this was a replacement for one which had given great service) have a weak lid hinge and I had to return one unit with which the lid became loose within a fortnight

We had never had a teasmade before so have nothing to compare it with but since purchasing this item we have loved it! Nice light on clock, not too bright. Good radio function with alarm mode. Perfect sized pot for tea for two. The only criticism I have is that the clock takes a while to set/reset but otherwise a great product.

Really simply to use. I didn’t clock that it’s a teapot not a mug that the tea is made in but it appears to work well and this way you can vary the amount of tea you drink. Like the simple buttons and the bedside light. Nightlight did not bother anyone.

Wonderful to have one back since my old one wore out.
Easy to use, good light,easy to follow instruction booklet, great to wake up to a hot cup of tea,would recommend this item.
This is different from the previous teasmade – as far as I can see it is all-electronic. The old model used to wear out after about three years because either the clock, or the relays, packed up. I’ll let you know for certain in three years’ time if this one is better!
It has all the usual teasmade features. Unfortunately the “designers” have got at it, so it no longer has a flat top with a tray, and it has a digital clock with a face which simulates an analogue clock. This is OK – it is unnecessarily bright, although I don’t find it keeps me awake as some reviewers elsewhere have commented – but it would have been easier and better to have a normal digital clock face. But apart from that, it works well!
I bought this for a present for my sister who was thrilled with it.She lives alone and the happiness she gets from having a cup of tea made for her when wakes is really lovely. I think this is one of the best presents I’ve ever bought!!
