Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersA bit complicated
I lovely piece of kitchen equipment but it is a little bit complicated to use. Once used to the different settings and how to use them I’m sure memory kicks in When I’ve used it a few times and then I won’t have to keep referring to the booklet which is not exactly user friendly

Tasty food and energy saving! A convert!
Amazing cooking machine for 2 people! Our roasted veg in 10 mins (12 cherry tomatoes, 1 onion, 1 courgette 1 red pepper, 2 sticks celery). Roasted potatoes (wedges I suppose) 20 mins. Pork chop beef chop c18 mins. All cooked individually. Then while meat rests, quick blast to warm up veg and roasts. It’s a mini oven. Roughly halve your cooking times from large oven. Meat is amazing. Bought for energy saving, now think more for tasty food!!!! Win win. Watch some YouTube videos to warm up and get some common sense tips.

I had heard so much about Air Fryers that I thought I would get this one as it could cook a large meal. It is only big enough to cook a chicken the size of a pigeon The instructions are in Egyptian Hieroglyphics and are as much use as a chocolate teapot. there is no cookbook with it giving you any idea how to cook and how long it takes. But the chips are nice

Love it, love it, love it used all the functions, and it worked well – still go lots of things to try (whole roast, baking etc.) but the fry and grill settings on meat and fish are working just fine, I’ve also steamed some veggies and dumpling which also came out great.

Still haven’t figured out how to get perfect chips in there yet though, but I’ll persist.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHow did I live without this baby?
I had gained a lot of weight during the lockdown. I have started a weight loss program and having the air fryer is helpful for enjoying healthy yet flavourful meals in less than half the time of using conventional cooking methods. The air fryer is energy efficient in these times when everything is getting expensive. Being able to grill, bake, steam and fry with just a few buttons is a life changing experience for my family.

    Very well made!
First let me get into the aesthetics of the actual product. from the outside view to very simplistic easy looking air fryer which can also grill and steam but further on I will mention these features in detail. After having you used the product looking at stick side away again the design is very easy to follow the actual touch screen sense is really good. it’s easy to change the temperature to choose the variety of different options you have to choose from on the actual air fryer now changing the temperature is very simple changing it from grilled to steam or air fry is very easy as well. the air flying aspect of it to hit the point is very easy to use it’s very convenient and it’s very quick for a variety of different food products I found it quite useful so far quite beneficial especially using the feature for just heating up general things like Jamaican patties and sausages and samosas. it’s been really good in that sense and it’s been a blessing so far the fact that we can also do the grilling of the chicken. grilling the chicken is being very easy we haven’t tried salmon Fisher or the like however chickens been very good and first time round we’re kind of over did it and we did it for longer than it should have been in there but in general it’s very easy and very simple to use and it cooked right through and cooks very well. Using the air frying aspect going back he actually get very crispy taste to the product that you’ve actually cooked whatever it may be now I actually really admire it can also make a grilled cheese sandwich in there and it’s very convenient. after even having grilled the chicken or even steaming vegetables very simple and easy to do I found it quite useful and beneficial so far the steaming with the vegetable doesn’t take too long it’s done quite quickly actually and there’s an actual water filter that you can actually attach on the top of the actual air fryer which is very useful and very easy and simple to use. The fact that you hold 6.5 litres is fantastic it’s very convenient a hold a fair amount is very easy to use for fries and fish fingers and sausages it’s become one of the easiest things to use and you can use it to heat up pretty much anything that you heat up in the microwave and also quite a few things that you’d heat up on a pan. I find the air fryer to be quite big in size now it can be slightly inconvenient for a variety of households if there’s not enough space however it’s a very fast and quicker way to heat up majority of the food that we usually eat up with the microwave on oven or even the pan so I would personally make space for it I feel like the price is reasonable it’s in a competitive market he does have three features in one device but usually three and one doesn’t necessarily turn out so great in its effectiveness and efficiency. however this does a fantastic job I really do admire it. goodness spect is unique it’s very rounded off and it’s simplistic which is convenient and the colour black of course goes with pretty much anything which means there’s not necessarily a need to adjust your Kitchen decoration or design to fit the design of the air fryer. Overall, I think it’s a splendid product and I think that the way it works is amazing with breezy yunost change at work with I haven’t had any problems with it and I feel like it’s definitely worth the investment it’s just much quicker than you normal things like your oven genome instead of frying a little food you can now airfry it. brilliant product and definitely recommend!

I was quite worried that this was a waste of money before it arrived because I’m usually more familiar with my kitchen appliances having a metal exterior. But don’t let that fool you. This is a fantastic piece of kit. My favorite function is the grill. I have cooked, chicken breast and pork in this beauty to absolute perfection. Now that payday has rolled around, you can bet your behind I’m going to put a massive steak in this baby and fill my belly quickly with delectable red meat in 10 minutes fla

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat quality air frying oven.
This is just a great oven that comes with so many accessories.
There are 3 mesh trays – 2 of them are almost flat and the 3rd one is deep.
They are great for air frying chips or like in my case the deep mesh tray for chicken drumsticks.
The drumsticks are done on the chicken setting for about 40-45 minutes and they are perfectly done.
If you want to roast a whole chicken , the oven comes with chicken fork and fetch rack.
There is a drip tray that is important to use as it will keep the oven clean.
There is a double sided grill / bake plate ,which can be used one side for pizza and on the other side for grilling.
It is a pretty thick plate covered with non stick coating.
The plate also has a removable handle.
The parts of the oven are dishwasher safe ,which is great.
For easier cleaning you can remove the door of the oven and clean it.
Also removing the door gives better access inside the oven for cleaning.
The oven comes with really good instructions and also a nice chart with different food and weight of the food that you can cook and the corresponding time ,temperature of the oven and cooking function that you need to use.
Also it shows if you need to turn the food during cooking.
Overall it is a great air frying oven that comes on a price of 199.99.
The price looks high ,but I think it is just the right one as you get a great quality oven with many functions that doesn’t need oil to cook.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood all-rounde
This Tefal EasyFry 9in1 Oven is fantastic. Because the machine is quite large, it will require some space. The capacity is ample and comes in handy when entertaining family and friends. It’s best for two people, but it cooks quickly, so you can make multiple batches. It can air fry, grill, roast, and bake, a versatile all at in one machine. It has an easy-to-use touch screen panel with pre-sets for Chips, Meat, Chicken, Fish, Pizza, Desert, and Grill, as well as a Dehydration mode for making dried snacks. With a simple touch of the up or down arrows, you can change the temperature and cooking time. The machine has an interior light, so you can see how the food is cooking through the door. I’ve used it numerous times and cooked a variety of meals that have always turned out perfectly. Meats are tender and succulent, chips are delicious and crispy, and muffins, cookies bake perfectly. I’m sure I’ll be experimenting and making more nutritious meals as well as more cheeky treats. The machine cooks quickly and efficiently, saving me a significant amount of time. It includes a variety of accessories, including an oil tray, chicken fork, two dehydrating racks, a fetch rack, a fries basket, and a die-cast grid grill. Overall, a good multi-purpose machine. To get the most out of it, I had to experiment with it. The machine, as well as the accessories, are relatively simple to clean. Overall, a good all-arounder that heats up quickly and delivers nutritious foods.

    Versatile and easy to use
This air fryer is very complete and versatile, as you can use it as an air fryer or mini oven, it is very easy to use, very straight forward, and very easy to clean, except the trays, this is something that if you don’t wash properly it will get stained by the oil and won’t come out, unless you keep it clean from the start. I loved the door and the fact that you can remove it to clean it, just be careful to get water inside other wise it’s gonna look watery from the outside. The grill base is also easy to use and works perfectly. I haven’t try all the modes but the ones I have used are perfect! Chips come out nice and crispy. What I have found is that it can be small, I can’t fit the same amount of potatoes chip as I did in my last air fryer. Apart from that it’s brilliant! I’ll definitely recommend.

    Quality air frye
I have been meaning to try an air fryer for some time and now I’m glad I did. This fryer is relatively easy to use, although the instructions provided are a little sparse if you’ve never used an air fryer before. It’s great for doing chips and roast potatoes in and I’m sure I’ll learn as I go along in terms of trying different types of food in it.

Tefal can usually be relied upon for quality kitchen items and this air fryer is no exception. Recommended.

Takes some experimentation to get the best out of i
It’s quick to heat up and you can cook something more quickly than in a traditional oven. The various cooking methods are good but the instructions are terrible and don’t help you to understand them, or how to use them properly, at all. So it takes a bit of experimentation both in terms of the best cooking method to use and the cooking times which seem to vary significantly from a traditional oven.

If you persevere with it you can definitely get some good results. We’ve mostly been using it for relatively simple things so far like for example a tray of oven chips, for which it’s great. It’s quite loud when it’s running though, so you have to bear that in mind if it’ll be somewhere where that’s an issue.

I find it a bit fiddly to clean with lots of parts, trays and nooks and crannies for grease to find its way in to.

It might be good for a student or a couple. I don’t think it’s going to be so much use for a larger family though because of its limited size.

    My most used kitchen gadge
Part air fryer, part grill, part rotisserie and part mini oven this really is a do everything appliance.

It does a very good job in pretty much every area too. The food cooks quickly and evenly and due to the small size of the unit I suspect that it uses less power than a standard oven. The three racks mean that you can get a surprising amount of food inside, and with careful management you can cook a whole meal for a small or not very hungry family in one go. Easily cooking a full meal for two people in one go. So far I have done chips, a rotisserie chicken, sweet potato fries, cup cakes, omelette, potato rosti, onion bhaji, dehydrated apples, grilled cheese sandwich, roasted vegetables and much much more. I love it!

The touch panel is easy to use and responsive. Once you get used to the functions it is very intuitive. There are loads of videos and recipes online to try. It is also easy enough to clean with a removable non stick pan in the bottom to catch the fats, crumbs and oils.

The only problem I have is with the instructions. They consist of a series of pictures that take a lot of working out and an online PDF file with some recipes which I tried but more often than not do not turn out very well at all. For the money I would have expected a proper instruction manual and at least a physical recipe booklet.

The poor instructions is not going to stop me giving this 5 stars though. In the few weeks I have been using it this has become my most used kitchen gadget ever. The lower power consumption and healthier food are also very important factors for me. Recommended.

    Innovative from Tefal.
It’s important to note that this is above average price wise than most of the commercial competition. But there is a reason for that. Because the quality is so much better. From top to bottom. This includes the software. Which is just more responsive, and the processing is quicker too.
The multi cooker itself is one of a long list of kitchen equipment in my home. I’ve got all sorts, cheap and expensive. Cooking is something I love. I’ve done it professionally in my life. But now it’s just a social endeavour.
Getting to know this kit, takes no time at all. It is very easy to set up. The instruction booklet is written in good English. There is also plenty on the machine to give you prompts.
I’ve used all 3 of the functions.
Grill, steam and air fry. I didn’t think that the results would be as impressive as what they were.
For the steam function, I just steamed some veggies. Simple things, broccoli, butternut and pepper all at once. The steaming was up to speed in no time and my vegetables came out rather well. Once cooking had finished. Clean up was minimal. 30 seconds.
Moving on to grilling. I wouldn’t recommend toast. Although it’s ok. It feels more like the bread has been dried rather than toasting. I grilled a chicken breast too. Out of sheer curiosity. This was much more like it. The chicken breast had it’s skin on. Which was a touch burnt but the rest of the breast was beautiful. Lovely and soft, cooked evenly and left nice and moist.
Moving on to the air fryer. This was most impressive. Just a teaspoon of oil was enough to make some amazing french fries. Lovely and crispy. Cooked nicely on the outside and inside. Great colour.

Packed with features, timers and a great touch screen. This is an innovative product which delivers on all fronts. It’s large in size and can be used to cook everything from a roast beef joint to steamed bao buns.
Very impressive. But it comes at a cost. 189 at time of writing. Is it worth that? Well you might just save that on power due to the efficiency of the machine.
It’s a good buy and a good product.

This 3-in-1 air fryer, grill and steam in one is such a handy device. It is the easiest and most practical way to cook for single people or families, regardless of the family size.
Since it arrived to my kitchen, I quit cleaning pans, consuming gas or having to heat our big electrical oven to grill a piece of Salmon. It’s in fact energy saver though it’s an electrical appliance.

Everything I cook in it turns delicious and cooked exactly at the right temperature and perfect time.

The grill and steamer are such a healthy way to cook yet very tasty, unlike the conventional method when healthy means no taste.

So easy to operate With touchscreen controls and seven pre-sets for all my favourite recipes. It has also 3 manual modes, which I didnt need because the pre-sets was doing the job.

Cleaning it is no hassle, all parts can go into the dishwasher and I wipe clean the body with my kitchen cloth, if needed.

It has a large capacity of 6.5 litres which is very convenient for large families also.

A large and very versatile air cooker from a top brand – more useful than we expected
My wife has been looking at air fryers for a while and this 3in1 EasyFry model by Tefal has all the features she was looking for in an easy to use electric cooker. The Tefal FW201827 is a large machine so can handle good quantities of food — but it also takes up quite a bit of kitchen space so factor that in when deciding which machine is right for you. This type of cooking can generate a lot of steam so my wife uses hers standing on the cooker hob with the protective top down — this way she can run the cooker hood to help reduce the amount of steam if needed. This type of cooking is quite new to us and reminds us of when we first started using a microwave oven — some good results but a bit of trial and error at first! This Tefal EasyFry is a very versatile cooker that can air fry, grill and steam, and has a number of automatic programmes and a clear digital display to help you get things right. We were interested to see how chips came out as that’s what seems to be one of the items air fryers are noted for, and we were not disappointed — low fat yet very tasty and well cooked chips, easily prepared. There are still many things we have not tried with this fryer yet, but our initial reaction after a few weeks use is that it is a good addition to our kitchen and will get a lot of use. It is versatile enough to cook a wide variety of meals and in a small kitchen, if used in conjunction with a microwave, it could replace a large oven for cooking many meals. Currently around one hundred and eighty-five pounds from Amazon this large 6.5 litre Tefal air fryer is good value for the features and build quality, and deserves five stars for all it offers at the price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to use and versatile
    + large capacity 6.5L
    + easy to use
+ non stick detachable basket with 2 different trays(one for grill and one for air fry)
+ digital display, easy to use
+ I like the all black design
+ fast and crispy results. Ideal for fries, wedges, chicken or fish nuggets, whole chicken or wings
+ less cooking time compared to an oven
    + steam functionality works well

    – loud
    – Heavy and takes a lot of counter space
    – Air fryer basket is made of plastic (except the trays)
    – I am not a fan of the grill option as I like my cast iron skillet more for grilling meat.
    – When using the air fryer and especially the steaming, I need to switch one the hood.

Overall this product works well and its versatile; The large capacity is a big plus but its more expensive because it also has grilling and steaming functionalities.
If my house didn’t have an oven or a hob, I would say this is worth to have. But for me, since I have an oven and an induction hob, this item is not worth it as it costs a lot and takes a lot of counter space.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersTefal EasyFry 9in1 FW501827 Ove
The first thing you notice on unpacking is the size of it, it’s not going to be easy to store! Too big for most kitchen cupboards and it will take up quite a bit of worktop space. In the box is 2 dehydrating racks, oil tray, chicken fork, fetch rack, fries basket, and a die-cast aluminum grid grill with removable handle. Some of these items are a little flimsy, for the price this is disappointing. You also get a quick start guide and recipes online. Despite the total size of the unit the actual cooking space is not that large, I think this is ideal for meals for one or two but I question if it would suit families. There are 8 pre-set programs for cooking the following at the press of button — Fries, Chicken, Meat, Fish, Pizza, Dessert, Grill and dehydration mode. The unit has quite a loud fan when it is in operation, so this is something to bear in mind if you have an open plan kitchen (like I do!) Also the meat or whatever you are cooking requires regular turning, so I wonder how well pizza would could on the bottom as you cannot turn them over! I think if I had the choice of what to buy I would not choose this option, I would simply get an air fryer as this is the most useful cooking method. I have only cooked chips and wedges from frozen so far and they turned out lovely but I could I only cook a small amount at a time which was annoying!

    Brilliant little cooke
My kitchen cupboards are full of devices that I thought would be useful and time saving, but turned out not to be. This isn’t one of them, it’s a genuinely useful addition to any kitchen. In fact, in a small home it could just about replace a traditional oven (although you would be limited in terms of any larger food (pizza, turkey etc). Nevertheless, it’s a great little oven with a variety of uses – I particularly like the rotisserie (but make sure your chicken isn’t too big!).

Food cooked in the oven tastes good, and it cooks a lot more quickly than my standard oven. The fact that it uses less (or even no) oil makes it healthier too. The oven is simple to use and the instructions easy to understand.

The black colour of the oven is inoffensive and it will fit in with the decor in just about any kitchen. The touch screen is clear and easy to use. Cleaning is fairly straightforward. Overall, then, I am very pleased with this and would have no hesitation in recommending. It will get used.

Very convenient - healthier food and time saving
I have ordered this for our daughter as she is starting university so she will be moving away and this air fryer will help her a lot not just for cooking faster but also much healthier food without oil and grease.
We have been using this air fryer for the last couple of weeks, mostly trying different recipes of grilled wings and roasted chicken, the results are amazing. Our daughter loves the lemon and herb chicken wings cooked in this air fryer.

This air fryer is super easy to use and has an easy to navigate menu, you can choose from 8 pre-programed cooking settings as well as adjusting their time and temperature. The display is touch sensitive and fairly large. It comes with different tray attachments which are easy to maintain and keep clean.
We’ve checked the instructions and watched some videos to find more recipes and learn what this can do but after using it for a few times and playing around with it, we’ve got used to it and now know exactly how to use the settings and many minutes to set it for depending on the type of food, if it’s frozen or not.

I am sure this will be a massive kitchen aid for my daughter after she moves away, it’s super easy and convenient to use, saves time, the food tastes better and it’s definitely healthier.

Very convenient - healthier food and time saving
This is an amazing kitchen aid. We’ve been using this air fryer for the last two weeks and fallen in love with it.
Not only that we can easily cook healthier food without oil but it also saves us loads of time. The trays are non-stick so they are super easy to maintain and keep clean.
The tray is quite spacious, it can fit a medium sized chicken and the results are amazing. The steaks and fries taste much better than when cooked in a pan.
It is super easy to use, it has an easy to navigate menu and settings, even our daughter learned how to use it so she can try new recipes.
It is a big help for us as we are working long shifts and it saves us time when cooking. We’ve also ordered some air fryer paper liners which keep it clean.

Overall a really great kitchen aid, comes with a comprehensive set of pre-programed cooking functions. We will definitely not use the oven much at all as this air fryer is much quicker and much more convenient.

    It's OK
I have used this half a dozen times now and it has done OK. Firstly though it is quite small so only really for either a couple of adults, or couple of adults and a small child. It certain wouldn’t be big enough for any more.
The instructions are quite useless so it is a matter of experimenting a little. Don’t go with suggested cooking times either as they tend to be out. I think it would have been better with fewer cooking methods it seems they have gone for quantity rather than quality as far as cooking methods go.
I think for easy sort of meals it will get used but the slow cooker still wins hands down on cooking meat.
It seems rather expensive for what it does best.

    Oh my! Legendary machine!!!!
WOW! I LOVE this machine. It uses less electric than our standard cooker, does more and works like a dream! I’ve cooked everything from shop bought pies to bacon, to a spit roast chicken in this! It is incredible!

I’ve included photos of the medium sized spit roast chicken. I wasn’t sure how to turn the temperature down from 200 degrees for this. I’m not sure you can. I usually cook chicken at a lower temp. I also wasn’t sure how to increase the time from 60 minutes, however no biggy.. i just turned the machine back on after 60 minutes was up. However we did overcook our chicken like we always do with chicken, just to be sure and on safe side. We used a bit of tinfoil as didn’t have any string to hand to keep the wings and legs together whilst it spun around being spit roasted. When it came to trying the chicken i was totally overjoyed. OMG juicy juicy … i tell you this now. Never has chicken tasted so good!!!!The bottom which would usually be soggy was also very nice. Because the chicken’s in constant rotation i think this ensures the juices don’t seep out and instead remain in the chicken. Usually chicken breasts are too dry. Not these ones. Delectable!!!!!

This Tefal 9 in 1 oven is stylish in looks and great for a worktop. Doesn’t take up as much room as you’d imagine. It’s easy to clean and even the door can be unclipped for easier cleaning. It comes with lots of accessories too. I love the light! I can turn it on whenever i want to view my food properly. It cooks evenly, the pies we’ve cooked didn’t have an overdone top side like they get in our oven. Great machine and one i’ve found myself using more than my regular oven.

Disappointed with the 9 in 1 - However the 3 in 1 version is excelle
I have purchased several air fryers over the years from the original Actifry to the Ninja Duo cook, so I have a pretty good idea of how good they are and how versatile. Therefore I was looking forward to trying this Tefal EasyFry 9in1 FW501827 Oven with its 9 functions and large 11L capacity. In addition I was able to try the 3 in 1 version. Starting with the Tefal EasyFry 9in1 FW501827. Out of the box it looks good and has a small footprint on the work top. This looks great I thought as I went to read the instructions to get it going. That is where I met the first problem. I like instructions which are in a simple numerical order of what you have to do. I searched through all of the literature which came with the item and thought that perhaps the instructions were missing. Eventually I realised that the only instructions come in a sort of pictorial fold out sheet, but there is no real explanation of the functions. I looked online but could not find anything there so I just had to guess really and use the pictures as a guide best I could. Now do not get me wrong, I think that modern airfryers are one of the most useful kitchen items of recent times and I use my Ninja almost daily. The problem in my view with this one is that there are no proper baskets, the set up is much as you would expect in a mini oven with different types of shelves. I find that to get the best results from air frying, every now and again you need to shake the basket to ensure an even cook and crispness. I just cannot see how you can do this easily with this one. I found myself having to use an oven glove for quickness to pull the shelf out and then I needed a pair of tongs to move the items around before returning them to the oven which by then had lost a lot of its heat. I also found that it did not cook as quickly as my Ninja which I can only put down to the large cavity and the loss of heat each time I had to adjust the food. So far as air frying goes, for me this particular machine is a non starter. However, for other cooking methods it does do a good job. It works very well as a small oven to save me having to heat up the main one and I can cook things such as lasagnes and small cakes in it and save money on electricity. I also had a go at drying out orange slices which I found worked well. I am not going to try the rotisserie function as quite frankly that just seems more trouble than its worth to me and not worth all of the cleaning afterwards. So in summary, if you really want an Tefal airfryer most of the time, then choose another Tefal model with a basket. Tefal do an excellent range. One of which is reviewed below. If you want an oven for occasional airfrying, but predominantly to act as a small oven, then this definitely is the model you need.
I then went on to test the Tefal FW201827 3 in 1 machine which will airfry, grill and steam. This is much more similar to other airfryers I have owned over the years and on test turned out to be excellent. It has a large size basket which is large enough to get a whole chicken into which cooked perfectly in less time than in a conventional oven. Chips and boneless chicken thighs came out brilliantly crispy whilst not dry and it is easy to give the basket a quick shake mid way if necessary. To be honest though, the good size of the basket makes this less necessary than when using a machine with smaller baskets. I tried the grill function with bacon and also halved tomatoes. Performance was excellent. The machine also has a steam function which I have not tried as I have a steamer which I use independently for that, but I would imagine it would be useful if you had not got one or wanted to save on space.

    A great alternative cooking method
This is a mixed product page with combined reviews. This is for the FW201827 three in one air fryer, grill and steamer.
It is a big unit and takes up a bit of space. We have a standard sized kitchen, but this will not fit under the wall cupboards. Though if it did, you would not be able to cook with it whilst under a unit due the steam and heat. There is a fair amount of vapour coming off this, so a ventilated room and away from children is recommended. These are not negatives as they are the properties of such a cooking device, I am just highlighting this for potential customers to factor in when purchasing.
This is very easy to use and takes very little time getting used to it. The manual is easy to follow if you need help. This gave off a bit of plastic smell on first few uses, but it doesn’t affect the taste of the food. Cooking an even layer of chips on air fry 200 degrees took just under 15 mins. We have cooked salmon and steaks in this. The container is big enough for a whole chicken, but I haven’t ventured into cooking a whole one yet. I am certain it will be fine as drumsticks have come out perfectly cooked. Cooking times vary depending on what you are cooking, most things are quicker than an oven, but some items would be quicker in a frying pan, however it is less messy and no spatter than a frying pan. It is a quiet unit, look plush with all touch screen ands fits in with a modern looking kitchen. Easy to clean with the container being dishwasher proof, but I am sticking to handwashing (just as easy) as dishwasher detergent ate through my last ‘dishwasher proof’ container.
A great alternative cooking method and worth having one if you have the room.

    Tefal EasyFry 3in1
This Tefal EasyFry 3in1 Air Fryer is currently priced at 189.99 and has an XL 6.5L capacity

The air fryer comes well packaged in a branded box with an instruction booklet, but to get full use of it you need to scan the QR code which will take you to tips and recipes etc. It’s quite easy to set up and use though

This air fryer is different from any that I’ve used in the past as it has a steam facility, there you can steam vegetables and fish. These go in the top compartment and you just need to add water to the tray

The air fryer has a preset menu where you can cook fries, meat, chicken and fish etc, as well as a manual mode where you can fry, grill and steam foods. There’s a 60 minute timer and a bell sounds once the time is up

The maximum wattage is 200, but you can decrease the heat where required

These fryers are great for cooking chips, chicken goujons, sausages and many other foods, you can even cook a full chicken in it, although I’ve not tried that

The only thing you’ll need to check though is that you have enough counter space as you need room for the air to circulate. This is quite a big air fryer and can easily cook a full meal for two or three people

    Happy to recommend

Best thing I've ever invested in!
I’ve always had a basket air fryer! but have always wanted one of these.
its quite chunky! and takes up a fair amount of space on the work surface!
BUT ITS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD!
it comes with a grill tray which is great for steaks and chicken!
if you turn over this tray it can be used as a pizza tray!

it also comes with 3 netted trays, one of which is designed specifically to cook chips as it has more depth.
i have found that if you use all the trays at once you do find whatever sauces/fats/oils that are on the higher trays transfer over to the lower trays, fortunately there is also a drip tray to collect this!

i found that lining each tray and using it as a miniature oven a easier way to use. this also stops the higher foods contaminating the bottom.
but do be warned that once at full capacity it does take longer for food to cook if you’re using all shelves.
It does come with attachment to cook a whole chicken almost in a “rotisserie” style. note this does not rotate! i also would advice it would only fit a small chicken!

the instructions were near enough non-existent! they were included in the box but i found there was matter of 4 sentences throughout the entire book in English.
luckily the air fryer is very self explanatory to use and i was well on my way within a matter of minutes with help from the photos on the front of the air fryer.
this is a brilliant appliance and i would be entirely lost without it, I’ve barely used my oven since having this!

really happy with it, its easy to use easy to clean all the trays are dishwasher safe!!
absolutely blown away would highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA good unit but large and has one annoying quirk
I have been a big fan of air fryers for a while now and my last one decided to break. I decided to get this as a replacement as it has more features than my old one and it has the pull out drawer, whereas my old one was circular with a weird cattle push device in the middle to move the food around.

Lets start by saying this is a BIG boy. It is much larger than I expected but it does fit where I wanted it to, so that is ok. One thing that is new on this compared to my last is that you have to add water to the top, even to air fry. I don’t know if this is for cooling or supposed to make the food better, but I noticed it had an error when I first used it asking me to add water. The instructions weren’t that clear on the water being needed for all cooking. I could be wrong, but the error message just wouldn’t go away.

The cooking itself is great and is slightly more powerful than my last and I have had to adjust timing to suit. I have been taking the drawer out when cooking chips, mid way, to shake them around as it seems the edges cook a little quicker than the middle of the stack. Not a problem, just a quick shake and we are back in business.

This is where the quirk is though. When I take the drawer out, either mid or end of the cooking, it drips water all over my sideboard. Mixed with a little grease and sometimes chip flakes. Which means every time I cook, I have to put a towel down or it makes a mess on the side.

It sounds silly but it is infuriating as my side gets messy just opening the drawer. I do just wipe it up, but it is an oily liquid so it smears and makes a bit of a mess.

Nonetheless this is a good product, I just hate that one element of it. The controls are easy, the cooking is good and the unit feels incredibly well made. Air fryers make cooking so much simpler and this is a good example of a high end fryer. You can remove all of the cooking parts to clean, and they are all big, chunky and flat which makes for easy cleaning. The grill also works very well, but I only generally grill bacon and that just makes a huge mess. That isn’t the fault of this fryer, it is a bacon issue.

If you are looking for a large, well made, easy to use fryer (with extra steaming and grilling functionality!), this is a good choice. I would recommend it, but be aware of the weird droplet issue I have.

Quiet, easy to use - massive air fryer, grill and steame
The Tefal Tefal EasyFry 3in1 model FW201827 is HUGE. It won’t fit on my worktop and under the shelves above. It comes in a highly glossy black plastic that you can see in the picture of the touch screen display. The touch screen is a good one it makes it easy to select the function and set the timer and reflections aside its easy to read. It only comes on when the basket is fully inserted into the body of the unit.

It is a 3 in one device; you can fill the water reservoir and steam fish or vegetables. You can also use this to clean the basket; with the mess coming out in the waste water bin at the base. The basket comes with two pans- one for air frying and steaming that has holes in it; and a second griddle style pan to use when frying.

There is a griddle pan that you can use to grill on and finally there is the air frying function. The basket is likewise huge; you can put over a kilo of chips in it. I found the basket very difficult to put back into the main body of the device.

One nice thing about the enormous size is its very quiet when in use. Measured essentially over the top of it whilst in air fryer mode my dB meter said 54.5 which is significantly quieter than the 77.3dB my Philips one recorded.

The instructions for the device come in the form of a series of pictures without any surrounding text which I personally would have preferred. There aren’t any smart functions on the unit; you can’t say its 300 grams of chips and have the unit calculate the time. I also think its a good idea to pull the basket and shake up things when you are using in frying mode to get better coverage (oil provides some buoyancy to food which ensures more all around cooking. )

I adore the quietness of this device; that alone was reason to resign my older Philips one to the recycling centre. I do wish it were smaller; It feels restaurant size. The steaming function is useful if you don’t have another steamer; it lets you use the unit more often than those treat times you are frying things. Then you have a grill if you need a grilling function. The basket wipes clean relatively easily; and you can use the steam function to help with that.

    Versatile
Happy with this air fryer. Good size and doesn’t look shabby on the counter top, it does take up a little bit of room though. More than just an air fryer, nicely versatile and lots you can use it for – get experimenting!. Just takes a short while to get to grips with it and then you’ll know what you’re doing. Fairly energy efficient.

No real dislikes about the cooker robust and well made easy to use reasonably accurate temperature. The only dislikes if I am being picky is to say I would have liked 2 racks.

If the cooked results were not so good, I’d probably bin this frye
I’m impressed with this Tefal air fryer, at least I’m impressed with the cooked results it’s can produce. A meal for one can be cooked quickly, and in much less time the in a microwave oven, and with much more satisfying results.

It’s easy to clean, there’s just the tray and insert griddle, and no tricky or fragile parts to disassemble. However I don’t think anything can go in the dishwasher.

That’s the good part, the not so good parts:

The display panel which contains all the operating touch buttons is abysmal. The touch buttons are all over the place on the large panel, and the whole thing is so dim and the icons so small, especially given the size of the panel, that it is difficult to see anything. The removable protective sticker on the panel might have helped, but it is as dim as the panel.

The instructions are poor to non-existent, a small sheet with very little information along with another which is purely pictorial, okay if you can work out what each little picture means. But together these two things don’t tell you very much about how to use the fryer’s settings, and give very little guidance on how to actually cook different foods. There was a time when all cookers came with their own recipe books, proper hardback books!

And a niggle, when in use the timer display shows the remaining cooking time, however this constant alternates with the number 200, not sure what the 200 represents, maybe it’s the weight selected; whatever, it’s annoying as whenever I look to see what time remains it’s usually showing 200. When I’ve been able to find, and then decipher, the various icons I might be able to work it out.

Considering the price, this is disappointing, although no doubt once one becomes accustomed with its functions, many of the downsides will become irrelevant. At least it produces excellent results, and with experience that can only get better.

Much more easier to clean than the previous one we had from Philips, that’s still works after years of use. Hope this one also has the same longevity.

My oven takes about 3 hours to break down cheap cuts of meat into delicious oven baked brisket, But this easy fry does it in less than half the time with less mess. The oven is quite powerful and goes up to a nice high heat, Which means it can crust up pizza bases a lot better than my conventional oven.

It has a useful timer, So as forgetful as i am, It will loudly let me know when i need to leave the living room and get back into the kitchen to finish off cooking dinner. Since i’m on a low calorie diet, This helps me cut down on fats, Keeping my carbs and fat count on the lower side.

Due to its large capacity, It can also cope with my larger family meals, With multiple items cooked at once. I really can’t find any negatives, As it is convenient to use, And cooks my meals quickly.

    Versatile Air fryer/grill/steame
This is quite a large Air fryer — at 6.5 litres it purportedly allows you to cook a meal for 8 — but, as there are only the two of us in my household, I have not yet put this to the test. What I have cooked so far (I’ve only had this a few days) has been good and easy to cook.

What I like most about this “Tefal EasyFry” is its versatility. You can air fry, grill or steam (or even do a combination). There are some really easy pre-sets to use or you can adjust stuff manually. It has quite a few buttons to press but it is not as complicated as it at first looks.

There is a 20-page manual which mainly consists of black and white photos — which on occasion can be a little ambiguous/confusing but there is also a 4-page colour “cheat sheet” which is easier to follow and has a nice simple table with the most cooked items (food) on it and the 3 modes (AirFry, Steam and Grill) divided up in separate categories.

I have so far cooked some roast potatoes, a steak, a couple of pieces of chicken and some chips — and it cooked all really well. I’m going to try some salmon tomorrow to see if it cooks them as well as when I shallow fry them.

So I’ve not been that adventurous so far but I have been quite impressed with it up to date and look forward to many years together as cooking partners!

Cooks quickly, programs can’t be relied on and non-existent instructions
Unlike many air fryers which have a basket/container type drawer to place food in, this model has a more conventional oven like drop down door. The external size is; 36cm depth including the cable connection that protrudes from the back, 32cm width and 36.5cm height. It’s not that heavy due to the mainly plastic construction. Internally the useable oven is 23cm depth, 17cm height and 25cm width. It’s not very big inside so unless you cooked items separately it would be small portions feeding a small family.

It comes with a grill plate, drip tray and 3 basket shelves, one being slightly deeper. The main chip basket has an internal size of 22cm x 18cm, the shallow wire trays 23.5cm X 20cm and finally the 24cm x 20cm grill plate. You also get a metal rod and skewer forks for the rotisserie, for this it will fit around a maximum 21cm long tied up chicken, as some of the space on the with is used by the fork attachment and bracket the rod sits into, to rotate. I’ve yet to test this feature as the chicken I bought was too big.

The instructions with this are poor, having never used an air fryer before I wasn’t sure what tray to use if I needed to place the drip tray in and the best location to place as in shelf height. I started with chips, cut some 8mm depth potato, washed, soaked, dried, and then put half a tablespoon of oil over in a bowl, mixed up and put in the basket. Turned the machine on and picked the chips icon and start, it immediately started up cooking. The instructions seem to show, 40mins for fresh made chips, but the program for chips was just 200 degrees for 20mins. Well after around 12minutes I noticed they started to get burnt on the edges and potato wasn’t cooked fully. Looking online it suggested cooking at 160 degrees and raising the temperature to 200 at the end. I tried that and the finished results shown in the photo. So I wouldn’t rely on the programs and just set own temperature and time. It did cook them in 25mins, a lot quicker than the 40mins stated in the instructions. I tried some frozen french fries and they cooked in around 14mins and came out lovely and crispy. No soggy bottoms for either home made or frozen, I guess the wire basket helps.

So what’s good? It cooks quickly, will be a big saving over using a main oven especially for smaller portions due to both time saved and heating a smaller space. It’s 2050w according to the label. The door clips off for cleaning but you need to manually wipe the inside. So far the results have been good. You can override any program option and change temperature and time, oven stops when door is opened, separate button for light and rotisserie. Non LED light but can be accessed and replaced.

What’s not to like? Instructions are poor but simple to pick up. Programs or ones tried are for guide only and trial and error seems to work better. Some of the cooking options are not realistic, clearly can’t fit a pizza in unless very small, but fine for home made (made to fit), grill plate but doesn’t get the heat like a pan can for searing a steak. Cleaning the wire racks can be a pain, they can go in the dishwasher but food can get trapped in the holes and needs some brushing to get out, it’s not as convenient as wiping a non stick surface but then does provide a way for air to circulate and cook evenly.

Overall if you can work with the size limitations , and need something that cooks quickly then this works well, it’s more convenient than the container air fryers as it’s like using a standard oven. A little expensive and so better suited if you are going to use its rotisserie function over just getting an air fryer only.

Easy to adjust time and temperature, even heating
Its design is sleek and modern, with a nice touchscreen and overall design. Touch screen control, easy to operate.
Various accessories and functions. Heating evenly, evenly heating up and down. The 360-degree rotisserie chicken function allows each side to be heated evenly, and the difference between it and the oven is that it is more able to lock in moisture.
Easy to use, easy to adjust time and temperature. It is recommended to use a black roasting pan as the bottom of the air fryer, which is used to receive food that may have oil stains and fall, so that the oven will be easier to clean.
A lot of air fryers are one-pot with just one basket, and I also like the design that just shakes hard enough to change the position of the food. But this multi-layer type, it increases the amount of food at the same time, but the capacity of the air fryer is limited, and the distance between each layer is also limited.
The air fryer is easy to use. You can also bake fries and pizza in the oven, but you have to set the time yourself to remind you. The air fryer omits the reminder of the time. The air fryer is more precise about the temperature. For example, my oven is old, and no matter what the temperature is, it is the highest temperature, so my food is prone to burnt on the surface and undercooked in the middle. The air fryer uses high-speed circulating air to accelerate heating, so it can avoid scorching on the surface to the greatest extent.

I was dubious ordering this for partner as I imagined it’s just another cooking gimmick.
Chose the one with mechanical timer as it looked more retro than same old digital display everywhere.
The suggested settings for various foods are a guideline, once you’ve fine tuned the time and temp to suit you, the food while be cooked thoroughly and still retain the moisture that can be lost in the oven, or heaven forbid, swamped in cooking oil from frying.
We usually use ours for chicken pieces of various coatings/flavours, sometimes potato wedges or pre packaged fillets of meat/chicken/fish. Never disappointed and cooks in half to a third of them time of oven.
Downside is it would put most vacuum cleaners to shame with the volume of noise, so you would have to decide if you have open plan kitchen. Doesn’t bother us though.
We chose Tefal as it seemed the only one that had a strong, non stick, metal grill insert that was removable for cleaning, the other brands grill pieces seemed flimsy by comparison. The pan is easy to clean also.
Very pleased and glad to say it’s an addition that justifies it’s place in the kitchen now, unlike the electronic omelette maker that hides with shame in the kitchen cupboard now !

Trial an error to get used to but works well once you've got the hang of i
So I think there’s quite a few misconceptions about air fryers, and I also had these. I thought it would be a quicker way to cook (like a microwave) – it’s not. It’s healthier than standard frying yes, but it requires a good amount of time still so really you have to view air frying as just another cooking method.

Usability: It would have been great to have a manual with actual words instead of pictures as it took me forever to fully work out how to use the fry and grill settings separately. In the end I resorted to watching YouTube vids. The Grill method requires you to pre-heat the air fryer first (so add this onto your cooking time)

Difficulties I had and how I fixed them:

-I couldn’t work out how long to cook things for. I was very grateful for the quick settings but sometimes when what you want to cook doesn’t fit the settings, it becomes a game of trial and error. after about 4 months of using this fryer- I finally am cooking food I enjoy and goes right every time. My next attempt will be the ‘bake’ setting!

    – my food was coming out dry and crispy (but not in a good way). Whilst it’s a healthier alternative to deep frying, it still needs oil. ALWAYS include oil in your meat marinade and try to marinade for at least an hour. This combined with regular flipping will stop your meat drying out. Frozen meals of course already have the required oil, so this is fine.

    The fryer:

Its massive, it fits a lot of food, but this makes it heavy also. Unfortunately, it’s too big for my kitchen so I have to get it out everytime I want to use it which is a chore. There is a grill plate instead, one side is flat and the other has ridges for the grill effect. – very useful for not letting foo stick onto the bottom. But I do recommend getting some air fryer liners all the same. The fryer is super super easy to clan however! Never had an issue with that! The pre-sets are really useful too.

I bought this thinking it wold make my oven chips taste like fried chips but it didn’t. However, they do cook in half the time and end up more crispy. It’s a good size for 2 people at a time. I’ve even tried a roast beef joint in it and that came out well. Cooks sausage and chips in 15 minutes – perfect for when you’re short on time or really hungry! And cooks the crispiest bacon – although thicker cuts are better. Shrinks steraky bacon to half the size but does make it super crispy.

Very good but has poor design choices
I got this a month ago to replace a conventional 5L Industrial style deep fryer I had been using for years as i was looking for a healthier option, since this was my first ever Air Fryer there is a learning curve when it comes to temps and times but after a few days I was getting perfect chips and the usual frozen foods, it is even great for things like sausages / burgers /steaks / chicken and they all come out super juicy, and as per instructions you can even combine foods like cooking frozen chips for a little then putting some sausages on top and cooking both for longer.

This leads me to the massive issue with it, the instructions say that all I cooked can be used but to avoid foods that produce excessive fat during cooking?, all meat products produce waste fat even processed ones, that’s fine and a good thing but the problem comes at the end of cooking and the cleaning phase, the basket has vent slits on every side going down into the fat collection area and there is only 10mm from the bottom to the first vent slit, this means if you cooks sausages or chicken or steak you are going to have a layer of waste fat that can easily poor out the vent slit should you hold the basket other than level leading to a messy clean up.

Next is the fact that there is no way to drain the waste fats without making a mess, usually i would put the fat in a bottle and dispose of it as down the sink is a bad idea, you would think there would be a channel to pour the fat but no and if you simply try to poor out the fat it comes out every vent slit and onto the counter top, the solution is to let it cool and you can then scoop out the fat later but this is no good if you want to use it a few times in a row.

Over all it is a decent device and it has been a good introduction to Air Fryers and i will continue to use but if I buy another I will look for one with a better designed basket.

    Sceptic now convinced!
    A Review from Mrs L:

Having not been impressed with the idea of an air fryer, I am now delighted to have one. I had a bad experience with a halogen cooker before which churned the food and produced very unappetising chips and ended up being moved to the garage. I assumed an air fryer would be the same idea. But this is really handy for quickly cooking something like potato wedges without having to wait for the oven to heat up. The only sad thing is it doesn’t do enough chips for our whole family (capacity is 800g of frozen stuff) but it’s fine if only the kids want chips, or to do a few wedges each on the side. It was also perfect for quickly heating mince pies without them going soggy as they do in the microwave!

It’s very easy to clean (just a rinse does the job).

My main grievance is that the instruction manual is all in pictures, so I’m finding it very hard to work out what it is trying to tell me. It ends up being a bit hit and miss and make it up as you go along. So I haven’t tried more adventurous foods in it yet, but hope to do that when I feel like taking that risk. There are pictures of the different things you can cook in it, so at least that’s a start. And there is a QR code to a recipe booklet, so that will definitely help.

This air fryer arrived well packaged and fully assembled and ready to go. It includes a very basic set of instructions and a removable grate for grilling or cooking fatty foods.

It is very easy to use. There are some presets or you can select the required temperature and time and touch the start button. It is all controlled via the touch panel. You can change time or temperature as required without restarting the programme and removing the basket will pause the cooking. I do not think that the tray is dishwasher safe but the non-stick coating is very easy to clean.

I really like the results from this device. With very little or no oil or fat you can cook pretty much anything that you would grill, bake or fry in a shorter time than if you had used the oven. I have cooked belly pork, chips, sweet potato fries, cakes, bread rolls, party snacks, onion bhajis, baked oats and much more. Fruit can be dehydrated to make healthy snacks. It really is a very versatile and powerful appliance which has pretty much rendered my oven redundant unless I have guests. There are loads of recipes on social media sites for ideas and I am having fun playing with new foods and recipes.

On the down side it is quite noisy. The instructions are also very basic and I was disappointed that there is no physical cookery book for this price. The included instructions are a bit confusing too and recommend setting the device to 40 degrees to dehydrate fruits. It took me a while to discover that this model will not go to 40 degrees and that these instructions cover a different model of fryer. The only other thing that I find a bit disappointing is that you can not tell what the temperature of the basket is or when it has pre-heated. I am sure it doesn’t take long to heat up but some sort of notification that it was hot would have been nice. Some consideration should also be given to storing the unit – it is quite tall and does not come apart so for the very rare times when you are not using it then you might like to measure up for cupboard space.

So overall I am giving this device 5 stars despite the points above. It is a very powerful and flexible kitchen appliance which will cook a huge variety of meals in a relatively short time and due to its compact size will also use less electricity than a large oven.

Good quality, cooks food evenly, and easy to clean!
The Tefal EasyFry arrived safely, and it comes well packaged inside a nicely illustrated and premium looking retail box.

The first thing I liked when I took it out of the box was the quality of it. It’s a nice-looking unit, its well put together using good quality materials and with a bit of care it should be durable enough to last for quite a while.

Once you switch it on the front panel lights up and its nicely laid out with easy-to-understand buttons. You can either choose one of the pre-set programs or manually enter your own temperature and time, and then choose whether to use the air fry or grill. My mum worked it out straight away, so I know Tefal have done a good job making it simple and easy to operate. It’s a bit noisy when operating but I guess this is the nature of air fryers.

The pre-selected programs work well for the most part, but I find it easier to manually set it up myself as portion sizes can vary a lot, so it takes a bit of work to get used to. I normally take on average about 20% off the cooking time and reduce the heat a bit according to the label as this air fryer cooks things a lot faster than a traditional oven which is also good for my electricity bill!

The way it cooks the food is amazing as everything comes out piping hot and very evenly cooked. If you enjoy food like pasties, they come out in one piece rather than being all squishy and oozing, pies come out with the most delicate and perfectly cooked pastry, fish cooks so succulently and I love the way it cooks the batter, and bacon doesn’t shrivel up or go hard in places.

It’s the ideal size for two people but I struggle to see how it can feed much more than that at the same time. Me and my partner don’t each much and its just big enough for our meals, my parents on the other hand each a lot more than we do and they said they like it, but its far too small for them. Its really down to how much you each I suppose.

Overall, I’m a big fan of these new air fryers and I do feel it’s the next big thing for home cooking for a lot of people. This EasyFry from Tefal is an excellent bit of kit and I feel it represents pretty good value for money as you will save a bit of money over time if you use this in place of your normal oven. It’s a product I’m very happy to recommend and I feel its easily worth the full five stars, buy with confidence!

Great air fryer, not too big not to small, just right. Cooks food like chips, nuggets so much better and quicker than in the oven. Perfect when the kids come home from school and want something quick before you take them to one of their many clubs 😉

    Couldn’t be without it now!
First impressions were great, it came in a big branded box and looked very impressive. There’s no assembly required, I just read through the short and sweet instructions, washed a couple of parts then when dried plugged it in and it was good to go!

Using the unit is very easy, just switch the power on, select the temperature you want and set the timer. When the timer is active and ticking the frier starts up. The first thing I noticed is the fan is quite loud, and there was an odd metallic smell. However it turns out the smell was just because the machine was new and it went after the first few uses.

There are 2 lights on the front which illuminate during use, a green light to show you are operational and a red light to indicate it is warming up to the desired temperature. It does take a few minutes to reach it’s set temperature, so I have to admit I’m a bit impatient and just put the food in pretty much straight away.

I’ve tested it with a few different types of food and can confirm the results are always the great. The food is always nice and browned on the outside, throughly cooked on the inside and tastes great. I’m impressed how quickly everything is cooked, it’s definitely faster than an oven and feels way less greasy and healthier than frying. The best part for me though is the cleaning, it’s so easy, there’s hardly any grease after use and what is there pretty much rinses away under warm water so after a light, quick scrub it’s as good as new.

The only constructive I can give is it’s louder than ideal in use. Also the timer isn’t digital so you can add time but not take it away, so if you set too much you need to switch off the power and just leave the timer running until it finishes. The bottom of the unit does get a bit hot during use and the when you remove the food the container is very hot so you will need a heat proof surface to place it on.

Overall though I’m very impressed with it. It looks great, takes up hardly any space, can cook a reasonable amount of food quickly and to a great standard and is so easy to clean. I would happily recommend this air frier, it’s currently my favourite kitchen appliance.

    Perfect little ove
I bought this product and have found it easy to use, it is just as described and looks great on my kitchen counter, it makes it easier to do a good roast as I can do a good size chicken in it. Would highly recommend.
