Great for what it is Bought as a cheap test of whether I’d like induction hobs on a new cooker. Worked great for that purpose and have been using it daily for months.
The responsiveness of the heat is a million times better than my ancient electric hobs and comparable to gas.
It’s a “cheaper” unit though so it has two “issues” that were good to experience and learn of – but that haven’t impacted me too much yet:
1) The actual area that gets hot is smaller than that outer ring implies. Doesn’t matter for most things *unless* you want to brown meat – in which case only the smaller ring gets the direct heat and you’ll spot that as you try and fry things.
2) The lower heat settings are done via pulsing – just like a microwave; which means you can’t get a real simmer going on smaller volumes of food and instead it is on for a few seconds then off for a few seconds.
1 & 2 are not issues on more expensive hobs, but to be expected for something like this. And as long as you know, they’re not really much problem.
Very useful bit of ki Hard to find a setting that gives a gentle heat, even the ‘milk’ setting, but for frying, or boiling water for pasta or the kettle, it’s great! Quite noisy fan. Light, and easy to clean.
No low temperature control. Worked OK but there is no low temperature control. You cannot simmer unless a very large pan is used with a large amount of food in it. Needs a better electronic control of all settings. The angled control pannel I recon will fail in short order due to its plastic bubble press buttons. Apart from that nice machine.
It works very well A great machine. I really like it. My cooker hob is almost redundant now. The temperature can be a bit tricky at first, but it’s not really been a problem since I’ve gotten used to how to work it better. A wee wipe cleans it no bother.
Does some good stuff Needed a small hob while having some building work done. This has been really good for all manner of cooking and has turned me on to induction (since we will be replacing our gas hob with induction) over gas being very controllable in the heat settings and responsive to the controls. One problem with this hob is that the “stew” function seemed to stop working properly after a couple of goes and either boiled rapidly or did not reach temperature thereafter. It may be thus function only works from cold NOT with initially hot water. Also, the maintained temperature is somewhere in the 80 degree area and, in my opinion, not hot enough – meaning linger cooking required. Manual settings continue to operate well and it has kept us cooking while without a kitchen. Will continue to use this even when kitchen finished!
Versatile, easy to operate anywhere in the home or external office / workshop. There is nothing I dislike about the design or its operation… except that this is a replacement for the one I owned previously – That one lasted only 7-months before it stopped working and caused me to request a new one. I’m hoping that this new one will last considerably longer.
Pretty good work top induction hob We bought this to sit alongside our gas hob to reduce our carbon footprint and our utility bills. I read a lot of reviews of these hobs and the issues people generally have are noise and low temperature control.
Good
+ It handles a wide range of cooking pot sizes (10-26cm I think)
+ All of our heavy bottomed pans seem to work on it
+ The fan comes on all the time but is quieter than our extractor hood’s lowest and our microwave, so not that intrusive.
+ It heats pans fast, can boil a pot of water faster than our quick boil kettle
+ Has a wide range of power 300W – 2100W
+ Single flat ceramic / glass surface is easy to clean
+ Display and controls are clear/easy to read and operate
Less good
– In some lower power modes it slow pulses the energy and I can’t seem to get it to smoothly simmer
– Frying without burning has also been tricky, you can fry very slowly or fry hot, but we haven’t found a way to to fry so you can leave it without stirring
– The manual is really bad it doesn’t explain what the different modes actually do, the sticker on the box is clearer but still doesn’t give enough info
– The preset modes appear to do something with temperature but so far due to the poor manual we haven’t worked out how to use them
– When you turn it off the fan stays on for quite a while until it has cooled down
As a side note, the hob is a bit bigger in depth and general area than I was thinking. It is worth doing something to visualise the dimensions before you buy. It’s about the size of an
The pre-sets make reference to temperatures but I’m not sure if this means it monitors the temperature of the pan or it just controls the power and guesses.
This review is for the slim version which has 7 power modes, the non-slim has 9, requires 12 cm pans minimum, and only goes down to 450W rather than 300W. These last two are why we choise the slim.
Conclusion:
Seems reasonable build quality and fully functional. Specific temperatures are hard to maintain accurately which means you have to be more attentive while cooking. Very powerful for heating things quickly.
Note: So far I’ve found that for frying I get the pan hotter than I need it and then use the lower power modes to keep it “hot enough” to fry.
Great hob, but why the awful, loud beeps!? This is a great plug-in induction hob, and I like it a lot. However, I simply can’t understand the modern obsession on kitchen gadgets with loud beeping noises when turning the thing off and on and when programming it while pressing the buttons etc etc… which can’t be turned off! I take it that these annoyances are modern ‘regulations’? I knock 1 star off for that particular annoyance, other than that, I like the hob and would recommend it.
Easy to use I am currently having to use an old oil-fuelled Aga for cooking in my rental property, which is not only inefficient when all you want to do is boil up some pasta (it all comes on), but it also makes the kitchen furnace hot. I therefore needed something to enable me to do some stovetop cooking, which also didn’t break the bank for the (hopefully) short term use for which it is needed.
I noted several poor reviews that mentioned the unit automatically switches off, so I initially went away and spent a lot of time looking at alternatives. I don’t like unknown brands and, with budget in mind, ended up coming back to this again. I have to say that I am currently glad that I did.
I have experienced no problems with switching off, although I am using manual mode exclusively as I juggle different pans on the same hob. I found the timer easy to use and the instant heating is such a lovely thing – you will know what I mean if you have ever had to wait for the plates to heat up to temperature on an Aga. I can now cook a meal in about the same time that I used to using my previous gas range and the antiquated Aga hasn’t been switched on for several weeks as I have also expanded my use of the microwave and an air fryer.
If you are looking for something to replace use of an inefficient hob, this is a good option. I don’t know what the programmes are like because the manual option suits me best and I haven’t needed to try them out. But I like the swift heating up of pans and the ease of wiping the hob down afterwards and putting it back into its slimline box afterwards for storage. I am using it every day and don’t really know how I ever managed without it.
Good value for money and very hot! It is fiercely hot, boils water rapidly, for example though- power level 3 is too high for cooking burgers (I burnt a toasted sandwich), though this does mean that it is very cheap to run compared to my standard gas hob, saving me s on my energy bill. So far I’ve only used manual or the milk warming function, when I measured the temp of the milk it was only 4 degrees Celsius above target, which is an absolute win.
Update 20 Sep 22. I used a cast iron pan on setting 4 to cook a steak. It was perfect as the timing for medium/ well was exactly righ
Game change I have an electric cooker which takes about 20 minutes to warm up, this is instant and I cam control the temperature. I have fried salmon and cooked soup. I love it.
Simples Much much better than the old twin hob I was using before, heats up much quicker and to a much higher temperature, the only downside is some of my saucepans won’t work on it so I’m now replacing my old saucepans too
Neat , fast tabletop hob Bought to use instead of the old solid electric ring hob. This is so efficient and fast as doesn’t takes ages to get to temperature then waste heat as it’s cooling down. Highly recommend
Efficient and Versatile I rarely write reviews, something must be awful or fantastic for me to bother.
This Slim Induction Hob is marvellous, although I’ve had it only about 6 weeks.
Very efficient, boils water very fast compared to gas, probably electric too.
Far better temperature control than my old electric stove.
Looks so cool and slim, very easy to clean and store away (but I seem to use it every day!)
Bought as a temporary solution because Im getting a new gas cooker and have to decorate kitchen first, its just so easy to use. Can change settings anytime during cooking even when the timer has been set, this is also great when cooking pasta, making stock etc. Keep an eye on it when using a saucepan with a lid, as with any type of cooker, because it can take a short while (depending on the pot) to change temperature.
Nevertheless its very easy to wipe up spills.
I use a paper kitchen towel under the pan (use this to wipe up after so not to waste) as some of my old saucepans are not so clean on the bottom as they should be.
Obviously use with a pan that’s meant for induction, check with a magnet. I have what I thought was a stainless steel frying pan which is clearly only steel at the surface and the base must be mostly aluminium.
Works great with my iron skillet and casserole (even though they are apparently too big).
A little difficult to saut onions/mushrooms with because it will turn off for safety reasons when lifting the pan up for more than a few seconds (it comes back on again if not too long). So just stir or briskly move pan horizontally only. Just need to get used to it.
Haven’t tried it yet but as its so mobile it will be great to eat Chinese hotpots on a table with. Everyone can sit around chatting and eating away for hours and it will stay hot at the lowest setting.
Overall I’m really quite impressed with this, very versatile, efficient, safe, easy to clean and store.
When I ordered it I thought it was a little expensive, similar to the cost of a microwave oven, but now I think its worth every penny.
Perfect for people with small kitchens or that live alone, absolutely ideal for students I would think..
Just what I needed So far I’ve used this to cook Chilli, Curry, Ramen, Rice and pretty much everything I would use my gas stove for, and it’s done the job perfectly every time. Great way to save some space and make cooking easier with the different modes and the time
Easy to use and convenie Have electric cooker with one failing plate, seemed a waste to change for that reason only.
Never tried induction hob before but this has been a good intro and pleased with it, very convenient anywhere you have about 15inch square work surface and a doddle to clean.
This is our second one . They’re brilliant. We needed hobs that take big 26cn pans for our church kitchen . These are perfect. They are cheap to run , heat up brilliantly, have a timer if needed , and are so easy to clean. And they are portable and will go anywhere there is a plug. Well worth every penny
A little lifesave Easy to use and clean, it is so very useful for me during the renovation of the kitchen when we don’t have a cooker at the moment. Love i
Compact, efficient and dead easy to keep clean. We have used this single induction hob for a long time and it is a little gem. You do have to make sure you have the right kind of pots and pans but well worth the change. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store away.
Great Hob This is the second one of there I have owned, my son took the first one with him to uni and it never came back (he’s still using it 4 years later). Quick to warm-up and fast response to changes in temperature. Works with a good range of pan sizes and is relatively easy to clean, (there’s one little ridge across the front where I have to use a finger nail behind the cloth to get in). Timer function is useful feature too.
Works well Nice well made induction hob which is very controllable and heats quickly when needed. We use this instead of the home electric cooker because its controllable instant heat and instant off just as good to cook on as a gas hob where as a normal electric ceramic hob is far less controllable. We had to buy new saucepans to work with an induction hob but its worth it for the great controllability these induction hobs provide. Hardly ever use the main cooker hob anymore!

Does the job Impressed with the Tefal induction hob, it is easy to use and the heat output is great and easy to adjust when cooking. The only downside is not to use for any cooking technique where water may overflow (ie Poaching) as the water eventually gets into the product and it gives up the ghost. If you avoid water damage this will last you a long time and serve you well. Recommended.
Handy for a Small Flat or Bedsi I like this because I can turn it right down for a slow simmer and go and watch the tv while it does its stuff. It responds quickly. I tend not to use the pre-sets but trust the manual setting. Easy to clean, just wipe down when cooled. This hob, like all of its type can scratch, but a hob protector soon sorts that out. I would always recommend this to anyone with limited kitchen space.
Best camping cooker eve Excellent. Gets hot fast. I got it for camping but now use it for an extra ring at home. Comes in handy when BBQING. just remember you need induction pans!!!
Perfec Absolutely perfect. Heats-up very quickly, easy to clean. The machine itself stays cold all the way round. Only two small issues. One is that it kept beeping ALL THE TIME, but I took it appart and removed the speaker, so it’s nice and quiet now. The speaker looks like on the picture attached, I just ripped it out. The second is that if you want to boil eggs for example, you have to set it to at least third level for it to boil constantly. On the first and the second, it keeps pausing.
In the summary, I’m loving this little cooker, and would buy again.

Wonderful addition to the house Wasn’t too sure prior to purchase, but this little hob has really been a winner, easy to use, easy to store. Great heat output, timer and easy to clean. What is not to like about it. Thoroughly impressed and exceedingly delighted.

Got this for someone else I got the hob for someone else who was having their kitchen done, as you can guess the work took forever I they were left with just a micro-wave cooker. So I sent them the hob, it took up little space, they loved it. Can’t tell you any more, for the price it really was a good present to help someone ou
Excellent portable hob solutio While waiting for a new kitchen we had been using a normal portable electric hob which we inherited. It took ages to warm up and cool down and was difficult to control the temperature. It broke and we bought the induction hob as a replacement. It’s better in every way. Heats up quickly, easy to control and cools down quickly. It has very similar properties to gas but it very easy to clean. Excellent purchase!
Low could do with being lowe For the price it’s good value. Bought for camper whilst on sites to save on gas consumption and with an extension allows me to cook outside. Only flaw is low power is not that low. But then it’s 40 od quid compared to a grand for my stove at home so I’m not complaining and I’d still have bought it if I had tried it first as it will pay for itself very quickly. Easily stored too
Great value I bought this as I am having a new kitchen and would be without a hob for a week or so, its perfect really easy to use and as I have a steamer no problem cooking different vegetables on 1 hob. This will also come in handy when entertaining where you need more than 3 or 4 rings fantastic buy.
Versatile and high quality produc There’s absolutely no doubt about it, this is a high quality induction hob. It works as advertised. For those complaining about overheating, please check the manual. H is a warning for hot surface. All programs have a time preset, this can be extended to a certain extent if needed.
I personally found it easy to use not intimidating. Just take your time and read the instructions for a few minutes.
What I love: light and compact size, easy to store; stylish design that blends with your worktop; responsive and easy to use touch controls. Reasonably quiet in operation ( all induction hobs require a fan for cooling); good length of cable.
Boils hot water as fast as a kettle- hence I’ve stopped using one.
Heat output and control are excellent, changes temperature almost instantly. Good for a wide variety of cooking: boiling, stews, stir-fry , deep fry , grilling, etc.
Please bear in mind that you need induction compatible post. Don’t be put off by complaints. All my pots are working, so definitely who has an issue needs to try different pots. The appliance is very good
Great control over heat and easy to use. This was a brilliant example if you are not sure Brilliant val, great heat control. Easy to use outdoor but it is difficult to see the red display in bright conditions. I’m no cook but I’m learning fast with this high quality piece of kit at a low cost. Give it a try!!!!!

Excellent little hob This has been great for us. We needed it for cooking while our kitchen was out of action and it’s excellent. Easy to use and very quick to heat.
I could not be more happy This induction hob is just what I wanted. I live in a small place and there is not much room for anything bigger than an electric hob. It is very easy to clean, I try and keep mine clean after each cooking. It heats up really fast and although at first I almost burned the onion for choosing the wrong programme, I started to know it now and see how different foods need heat intensity and timing. I have used it every day since it arrived, so it needs to be used in order to get used to it. There is a beeping sound at the end of every programme and about the buzzing.. the first day I thought it is broken and I need to return it, but then I read the explanation and it does make sense – when it heats up there is this buzzing – I do not find it that disturbing now as I did in the first day and it is not a continuous buzz. Worth the money!
ps: the pan that I used is a HITECLIFE 26cm induction pan, perfect fit!
Hot stuff We had no gas for a few days, so I bought this induction hob. Very easy to use. You just need a pan that allows a magnet to stick to it. Cooks quickly. Heat is adjustable down to a simmer. Could take it anywhere with a mains socket.
Problem solved. Useful addition to our 13amp hob. Did not realise the built in hob which came with the new kitchen would not cope. This Tefal solved the issue.
Best friend when away from home! There’s nothing to dislike here.
Temperature control is extensive, combined with the timers, manual control and ease of cleaning its the perfect companion off grid.
Not a perfect replacement for a hob It turns itself off when you leave it, which is annoying! It also is quite picky about which pans it likes, but thankfully I have some that suit. It does not work – flashes “E1” – if you try and trick it with an incompatible pan. But on the upside, it`s a very slim and convenient option for using if for whatever reason you are sans hob. It`s very quick to heat up and is very easy to clean, and frankly, it`s been a bit of a lifesaver recently. So it`s a high quality and attractive hob which as long as you`ve planned for it, will get you out of a jam.

Fantastic!! Fantastic piece of kit! Coming from a normal hob that took an age to cook things like over 1 hour for mince This product has been a dream never cooked so fast! good heat and options not used them all yet. But if you need a good hob choose this!
Very Nice Very stylish and clean lines . worked fantastically well and so easy to use. This is a single Hob . Will be buying another in the near future.
Excellent and really powerful, boils in seconds. Can be a little fierce when you are trying to simmer, but that is being picky.
An excellent product thoroughly recommend it.
Perfect additional hob when you need to use another pot and there is no more space on your cooker! I will use this when I have guests or family coming to dinner and need to use another pan but don’t have space for it on my full induction hob. It’s also very handy to have in an emergency should your full induction hob break down, which mine did recently! It just simply plugs into any electrical socket by your work top.
I couldn't have managed Christmas dinner without it. On December 19th, my Bosch hob broke down. It was still under guarantee but we had to wait for a repair. We managed a couple of days with a camping stove until this Tefal one arrived.
It was supposed to have 4 feet to fit but there were only 2 enclosed. I didn’t bother complaining and never considered returning it because I was desperate. I stood it on placemats on the Bosch hob.
I had read the reviews before ordering. I agree that it does brings a pan to the boil really quickly and doesn’t simmer very well. It is too hot. It is very easy to clean.
It would have been very difficult to manage without it.
My hob has now been repaired. It took very nearly 4 weeks.
I found the reviews I read very helpful. This Tefal hob was absolutely perfect for what I wanted. I highly recommend.
A good backup hob My induction hob went down on Christmas Day and the manufacturer was not able to repairs until back end of January. So I invested in this induction hob to take me through. Very impressed a handy backup item which when the weather gets warmer can be used outside or if you need an additional heat source for cooking, or as our son in law said camping holiday in the caravan, then you have a really useful tool
Compact, clean and easy to use. Very easy and intuitive to use and keep clean. I like the presets and the manual settings are very simple to use. Small enough to place where ever it`s needed but powerful enough to cook whatever you need.
Great and easy to use! Like the reviews said before me, the different levels of cooking is simply the hob switching itself for longer or less. This may be a problem for simmering but I have only used this for hotpots. For this, my only criticism is that it will switch itself off after some time.
Why wasn’t it in a an Amazon box I have only just boiled some water so I know it works. Looks smart and looking forward to using it.
My grouse is not about the appliance but about Amazon packing! It came with no outer packaging, just original box with a label on it. It wasn’t even film wrapped or the opening sealed!! God only knows how it arrived un damaged or marked. Usually Amazon put items in massive boxes with loads of paper so they go from one extreme to another.
Very useful This induction hob was very useful while we were having our kitchen redone. It has a good amount of control and can get nice and hot. The only con was that it didn’t seem to have much to offer at the lower end, i.e. it wasn’t possible to get a very gentle simmer.
Very convenie I am currently doing a big renovation to my kitchen and I have no gas hob any more. Bought this product well before work started to check it would be ok. It has been great. Very easy to use and move about as required. Will keep hold of it once kitchen is finished
Perfect for balcony use Living in a flat the smell from oily cooking can be long-lasting especially in an open space kitchen. Having a balcony is really good so we figured why not cook oily stuff outside and this tefal is pretty good with it. It’s induction hob so you need to make sure your pots and pans are all compatible with induction hobs. All in all, it’s great, easy to clean as there are no small crevices on the surface so after you let it cool off the cleaning is simple.
A staple for a tiny kitche I bought another one after the old one (same model) packed up after 4 years of everyday use – my fault, not it’s own!
I am very happy with it – easy to clean, easy to navigate, keeps a very good temperature and cools down quickly.
Good little hob I occasionally need a separate hob unit and this works well. Just get it out of the cupboard, plug in and away you go. I find that a low setting of 3-5 works well, over that is too fierce. I also leave it plugged after I have finished cooking until the fan stops running and it has cooled down.
Super quick heating and easy to use. A smaller increment in heat level would have been nice. The slim version is great! It boils water faster than a kettle!
It’s really easy to use without too many complicated buttons.
The only thing I wish it did better was have a smaller increment in heat between each heat setting. i.e. When I use the heat level on 2, it simmers on and off to keep it at a lower temperature, but when I increase the heat level to 3, it boils over. Somewhere in-between would have been a nice option to have.

Powerful Bought to cook on while our kitchen was being refitted. Very efficient and powerful, can boil water quicker than my kettle! It has lots of modes and functions but in my experience these are a bit unnecessary, just select the power level manually. Some comments about the power not going low enough – to clarify at the lowest levels it turns the coil on and off periodically, so the pan will boil then rest, boil, rest. At full chat it has a buzzing rattle to it but not very loud.

The best thing I bought during the lockdow We were a little unfortunate to have been caught re-decorating our kitchen as the lockdown started, so we weren’t able to get it finished as fast we as needed it. For that reason we decided to but this little hob to cook while our kitchen wasn’t ready. And it was the best decision! It works so much better than my normal hob, it heats up supper quick, I even stop using the kettle and just boiled the water in a pan because it was so fast.
It takes you a few times to get used to the automatic settings, but you can always just use the normal setting and put it up or down accordingly.
Excellent little hob We’ve just moved house and until renovations are complete we don’t have a proper cooker, so we bought this hob to tide us over. It’s absolutely brilliant, does the job perfectly and boils water so quickly we might actually carry on using it even after we’ve got our proper cooker back. It does run quite hot so you need to keep an eye on it, but once you’ve got used to it I honestly can fault it!
Love it! This hob has changed how I cook! I love it! I love how fast it is to heat up a pan and then cut off the heat instantly.
I do wish the manual control gave you an extra increment because it’s hard to find a simmer setting.
You also need to be alert when using the job, it’s very easy to burn end up with a smokey pan because it gets very hot almost instantly, so be careful.
However, when used correctly, this hob is definitely worth the money!
Really good I had a problem few mounths ago , I was almost burned my house and I couldn t Cook anymore I was really scared about cooking again , so I bought this thinking that it will be more safe than a e electric hob and is it I love it, make a little noise but is normal and after few stops you won’t heard it anymore and is really easy to clean.
Cook just about anywhere..... This is a cracking bit of kit and I use it at home, in the kitchen, outside next the bbq and in the van when connected to mains power. I’m a newbie to induction cooking but this is simply a brilliantly easy and safe way to cook. The unit itself is easy to transport, store, clean and use and it’s rather converted me to this method of cooking.
Pre-set temperatures really useful I had 2 reasons for buying this – firstly to use in some cookery videos that I was recording and secondly I’d been having problems with my electric deep-fat fryer, and I saw that I could set temperatures for deep-frying on this. I do already have a couple of portable induction hobs, but as I’d left them at work I was unable to access them during lockdown, and they didn’t have the temperature setting feature as they were quite old, so I am used to using this type of hob. It’s quick and responsive to use, and very easy to clean as it just needs a quick wipe over after use.
However, it is slightly noisy to use, which is something you’d probably not notice too much in everyday use but the video picks up the noise of it.
What I do really love is being able to use it for deep-fat frying. I used to find it a really tedious job to have to clean out my electric fryer after use. I don’t really just like using a pan on a conventional hob in case I lose attention and it overheats – I do know you have to be careful deep-frying on any hob, this induction one included, but I feel it’s an extra safety measure that it’s got a thermostat, so it’s less likely to overheat. So I can just use any saucepan (induction comparable) with oil, strain the oil back into a container after use and put the saucepan in the dishwasher – so no fiddly bits to clean that I’d have with the electric fryer.
So glad I bought this Really happy with this induction hob. It makes my morning stovetop coffee in a fraction of the time of a normal electric hob. It’s easy to clean, compact and tidy. I use it to boil my Le Creuset kettle too which it does really quickly. I’ve also used it in my campervan (when I had access to mains electricity) and it was safer than using the gas hob. Have recommended to my friends and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.
MUST Read the instructions Tefal IH210840 Everday Slim Induction Hob Dont just knock this Superb unit, way better than original, I was reluctant in someways to buy due to the revues as many was founded at all , those negatives where not called for as READ the instruction book the answers are there, in the main shutting down reviews ,(rear the book) nonsense
It is plain easy to understand but being patient is the virtue , would buy over again , very cheap to run on the electricity , slow heat function is better on this than older unit also..

Versatile, fun, easy - highly recommended. Great for almost all cooking. Very light to move around, and a cinch to clean.
We use it for cooking pancakes at the table, cooking outside in the garden and occasionally in the kitchen itself.
It runs perfectly off extension cables (we’re using a 40m one for the garden) and like any induction hob, changes temperature quickly when you move up and down the power levels.
Max power gives a good heat, and has been plenty for anything I’ve tried. The only minor criticism is that power level 1 (the lowest) is still too much if you want to very gently simmer something.
Build quality seems good, although I’ve only had it a few weeks.
In all, highly recommended. Versatile, easy to use and powerful.
I originally bought this to use while we were having our new kitchen fitted. I was a little apprehensive as I have only ever cooked on a Gas hob before. However, I was surprised to find how well this hob cooks everything I have cooked on it. Not one dish burned.
The temperature control is perfect and yhe different settings on it are well suited.
Once my kitchen is completed I will still use this as an additional hob when needed.
Simple design, easy to use and compac I cracked my Ikea portable hob and needed a replacement asap. After reading the reviews on Amazon and wanting to purchase a European brand I am so happy that I purchased this Tefal one. I mainly use this portable hob when I am videoing for Youtube. It is perfect. Super efficient and compact. Much smaller than the Ikea one I had so it takes up less space on the bench. I love that it heats up super quick and you can choose between a pre-set button eg stews, stir fry etc or the manual temperature. If you need an extra cooktop I would highly recommend buying this one.
Heats up SUPER fas My cooker was on the blink and with a 2-3 week wait time for repair I knew i needed to cook at home (cooking pasta in the microwave doesn’t count). so happy i ordered this instead of a regular hot plate. It’s induction so it heats up almost immediately. cooked everything from biryani to pasta and curries on this with no issues, tbh when my cooker got repaired i kind of missed using the hot plate. There’s loads of heat settings on it (manual, stir fry, boil etc) but i just stuck to the manual heat settings and turned it up and down accordingly. The ONLY downside is as it’s induction you can’t use any aluminium pans, just non stick or stainless steel. the rule is if u can stick a magnet to the pan, it’ll work on an induction hob.
If you love to cook, how can you NOT buy it? I’m spoiled. Having grown up in EU and Israel, I got used to 220V appliances. So when I remodeled our kitchen in America, I ran some lines and installed a few 220V outlets in the walls next to the 110V standard outlets.
For years, I have been buying 220V hot water kettles from UK and having them delivered, here.
(I Love the speed I can boil 1.7 Litters in 3.5 minutes). This was the first 220V Induction stovetop I have bought (I have 2 that work on 110V, NO comparison).
I have to tell you, being a chef for 20 years, this little stovetop really cooks, It Is easy to clean up, folds and stows away in the cabinet, all for under $50.
I have almost stopped using the gas-powered cooktop in my kitchen because of this little baby, I’m thinking about ordering another one.
Stay safe! This virus danger will soon be over.
Perfect for my needs I wasn’t sure how often I will use it but decided to get it as it was on sale. We use it very often. if it is for smelly / oily cooking that better to do outside or just because the kitchen is already busy. Great product, highly recommended. perfect control over heat. I am not using the built in plans but it’s nice to go over the manual and know what is available.
Useful backup
Useful backup when having a new Kitchen Fitted as a temporary hotplate. Works as described
Buy for hotpo
It is quick to boil the water.
I hope it could be fine for hotpo
Bought as a cheap test of whether I’d like induction hobs on a new cooker.
Very useful bit of ki
Hard to find a setting that gives a gentle heat, even the ‘milk’ setting, but for frying, or boiling water for pasta or the kettle, it’s great! Quite noisy fan. Light, and easy to clean.
Worked OK but there is no low temperature control. You cannot simmer unless a very large pan is used with a large amount of food in it. Needs a better electronic control of all settings. The angled control pannel I recon will fail in short order due to its plastic bubble press buttons. Apart from that nice machine.
Good for portable use
Had to use this temporarily while kitchen was getting renovated. Fast heating and reliable. Would recommend
It works very well
A great machine. I really like it. My cooker hob is almost redundant now. The temperature can be a bit tricky at first, but it’s not really been a problem since I’ve gotten used to how to work it better. A wee wipe cleans it no bother.
Needed a small hob while having some building work done.
We bought this to sit alongside our gas hob to reduce our carbon footprint and our utility bills.
I am currently having to use an old oil-fuelled Aga for cooking in my rental property, which is not only inefficient when all you want to do is boil up some pasta (it all comes on), but it also makes the kitchen furnace hot.
Game change
I have an electric cooker which takes about 20 minutes to warm up, this is instant and I cam control the temperature. I have fried salmon and cooked soup. I love it.
Simples
Much much better than the old twin hob I was using before, heats up much quicker and to a much higher temperature, the only downside is some of my saucepans won’t work on it so I’m now replacing my old saucepans too
Love i
Use this at home now. By far cheaper than gas.
Brought it first the camper firs
Neat , fast tabletop hob
Bought to use instead of the old solid electric ring hob. This is so efficient and fast as doesn’t takes ages to get to temperature then waste heat as it’s cooling down. Highly recommend
I rarely write reviews, something must be awful or fantastic for me to bother.
Just what I needed
So far I’ve used this to cook Chilli, Curry, Ramen, Rice and pretty much everything I would use my gas stove for, and it’s done the job perfectly every time. Great way to save some space and make cooking easier with the different modes and the time
Easy to use and convenie
Have electric cooker with one failing plate, seemed a waste to change for that reason only.
Never tried induction hob before but this has been a good intro and pleased with it, very convenient anywhere you have about 15inch square work surface and a doddle to clean.
Easy to control, good heat outpu
Don’t expect sophisticated consistent heat output, it’s easy to use and good for quick heating up or hotpot.
Used it mainly for heating up liquid quick but u do need to keep an eye on it.
A little lifesave
Easy to use and clean, it is so very useful for me during the renovation of the kitchen when we don’t have a cooker at the moment. Love i
Compact, efficient and dead easy to keep clean.
We have used this single induction hob for a long time and it is a little gem. You do have to make sure you have the right kind of pots and pans but well worth the change. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store away.
Great Hob
This is the second one of there I have owned, my son took the first one with him to uni and it never came back (he’s still using it 4 years later). Quick to warm-up and fast response to changes in temperature. Works with a good range of pan sizes and is relatively easy to clean, (there’s one little ridge across the front where I have to use a finger nail behind the cloth to get in). Timer function is useful feature too.
Works well
Nice well made induction hob which is very controllable and heats quickly when needed.

Excellent for hot pot 😁
Good as described. A high efficiency plate for hotpot warming.
Clea
No set up needed. Clean silent efficiency. No heat wasted.
Good value easy to use bit of ki
Super little ‘add on’ to both the kitchen and campe
Does the job
Impressed with the Tefal induction hob, it is easy to use and the heat output is great and easy to adjust when cooking. The only downside is not to use for any cooking technique where water may overflow (ie Poaching) as the water eventually gets into the product and it gives up the ghost. If you avoid water damage this will last you a long time and serve you well. Recommended.
Great little bit of kit!
It’s great! Induction, portable, plug in, and easy to clean. What more could I want?
It does what it says it will do, and very well.
I hve already said what I think of it, its good.
Handy for a Small Flat or Bedsi
I like this because I can turn it right down for a slow simmer and go and watch the tv while it does its stuff. It responds quickly. I tend not to use the pre-sets but trust the manual setting. Easy to clean, just wipe down when cooled. This hob, like all of its type can scratch, but a hob protector soon sorts that out. I would always recommend this to anyone with limited kitchen space.
Best camping cooker eve
Excellent. Gets hot fast. I got it for camping but now use it for an extra ring at home. Comes in handy when BBQING. just remember you need induction pans!!!
Perfec
Absolutely perfect.

Brilliant we use it outside our carava
Love everything about it, heats your quickly. Buy the best non stick induction pans you can then plain sailing
Brillia
I love it. Its great, quick warm up, easy to use. Worth it to buy.
Wonderful addition to the house
Wasn’t too sure prior to purchase, but this little hob has really been a winner, easy to use, easy to store. Great heat output, timer and easy to clean. What is not to like about it. Thoroughly impressed and exceedingly delighted.

Use it every day
Purchased this to dhelp decide if we wanted induction when we replace our old kitchen.
After using this for a while, we wil stick with induction.
Got this for someone else
I got the hob for someone else who was having their kitchen done, as you can guess the work took forever I they were left with just a micro-wave cooker. So I sent them the hob, it took up little space, they loved it. Can’t tell you any more, for the price it really was a good present to help someone ou
Excellent portable hob solutio
While waiting for a new kitchen we had been using a normal portable electric hob which we inherited. It took ages to warm up and cool down and was difficult to control the temperature. It broke and we bought the induction hob as a replacement. It’s better in every way. Heats up quickly, easy to control and cools down quickly. It has very similar properties to gas but it very easy to clean. Excellent purchase!
Low could do with being lowe
For the price it’s good value. Easily stored too
Great value
I bought this as I am having a new kitchen and would be without a hob for a week or so, its perfect really easy to use and as I have a steamer no problem cooking different vegetables on 1 hob. This will also come in handy when entertaining where you need more than 3 or 4 rings fantastic buy.
There’s absolutely no doubt about it, this is a high quality induction hob.
The appliance is very good
Definitely recommend.
Great control over heat and easy to use. This was a brilliant example if you are not sure
Brilliant val, great heat control. Easy to use outdoor but it is difficult to see the red display in bright conditions. I’m no cook but I’m learning fast with this high quality piece of kit at a low cost. Give it a try!!!!!

Excellent little hob
This has been great for us. We needed it for cooking while our kitchen was out of action and it’s excellent. Easy to use and very quick to heat.
I could not be more happy
This induction hob is just what I wanted.
Hot stuff
We had no gas for a few days, so I bought this induction hob.
Looks nice
Easy to clean
Does not work with everything.. it Works with certain types of pots and saucepans.
Not a perfect replacement for a hob
It turns itself off when you leave it, which is annoying!

This is a super wee job
Very easy to clean and is also very compact wish we had gone for the two ring versio
Good
So far good, getting used to control, a bit more complicated than my last one
Fantastic!!
Fantastic piece of kit! Coming from a normal hob that took an age to cook things like over 1 hour for mince This product has been a dream never cooked so fast! good heat and options not used them all yet. But if you need a good hob choose this!
Very Nice
Very stylish and clean lines . worked fantastically well and so easy to use. This is a single Hob . Will be buying another in the near future.
Easy use. Easy cleaning.
Very happy with this lovely pan, very impressed. Easy clean, easy use.
A good backup hob
My induction hob went down on Christmas Day and the manufacturer was not able to repairs until back end of January. So I invested in this induction hob to take me through. Very impressed a handy backup item which when the weather gets warmer can be used outside or if you need an additional heat source for cooking, or as our son in law said camping holiday in the caravan, then you have a really useful tool
Compact,clean and easy to use.
Why wasn’t it in a an Amazon box
I have only just boiled some water so I know it works.
Very useful
This induction hob was very useful while we were having our kitchen redone. It has a good amount of control and can get nice and hot. The only con was that it didn’t seem to have much to offer at the lower end, i.e. it wasn’t possible to get a very gentle simmer.
Very convenie
I am currently doing a big renovation to my kitchen and I have no gas hob any more. Bought this product well before work started to check it would be ok. It has been great. Very easy to use and move about as required. Will keep hold of it once kitchen is finished
Perfect for balcony use
Living in a flat the smell from oily cooking can be long-lasting especially in an open space kitchen.
A staple for a tiny kitche
I bought another one after the old one (same model) packed up after 4 years of everyday use – my fault, not it’s own!
I am very happy with it – easy to clean, easy to navigate, keeps a very good temperature and cools down quickly.
Good little hob
I occasionally need a separate hob unit and this works well. Just get it out of the cupboard, plug in and away you go. I find that a low setting of 3-5 works well, over that is too fierce. I also leave it plugged after I have finished cooking until the fan stops running and it has cooled down.

Good value
This replaced my previous one, very easy to use and to clean ,well worth the money
Bought to cook on while our kitchen was being refitted.

Fast and effice
So far so good, used a few times while camping on a electric pitch, fast and efficient.
The best portable produs
The best the only thing is you can’t use any cookware apart for the electric stoves
The best thing I bought during the lockdow
We were a little unfortunate to have been caught re-decorating our kitchen as the lockdown started, so we weren’t able to get it finished as fast we as needed it.
Excellent little hob
We’ve just moved house and until renovations are complete we don’t have a proper cooker, so we bought this hob to tide us over.
Great little hob
Bought this while I was renovating the kitchen and certainly kept our sanity!
Great little hob for the money, as other reviews say works a little hot so use the lower settings.
Really good
I had a problem few mounths ago , I was almost burned my house and I couldn t Cook anymore I was really scared about cooking again , so I bought this thinking that it will be more safe than a e electric hob and is it I love it, make a little noise but is normal and after few stops you won’t heard it anymore and is really easy to clean.
Pre-set temperatures really useful
I had 2 reasons for buying this – firstly to use in some cookery videos that I was recording and secondly I’d been having problems with my electric deep-fat fryer, and I saw that I could set temperatures for deep-frying on this.
So glad I bought this
Really happy with this induction hob.
Dont just knock this Superb unit, way better than original, I was reluctant in someways to buy due to the revues as many was founded at all , those negatives where not called for as READ the instruction book the answers are there, in the main shutting down reviews ,(rear the book) nonsense

Instant hea
This is a good option if you do t have a full job. Make sure your plans are compatible and don’t let the pasta water overflow.
Amazing
Omg this product is perfect.
Simple design, easy to use and compac
I cracked my Ikea portable hob and needed a replacement asap.
Heats up SUPER fas
My cooker was on the blink and with a 2-3 week wait time for repair I knew i needed to cook at home (cooking pasta in the microwave doesn’t count). so happy i ordered this instead of a regular hot plate.
Work as described. Good price.
I bought this hob until i got a new cooker. It’s perfect. Does the job as described. I recommend it.
Very strong
It is quite nice and strong. The only problem is it doesn’t work with all of my aluminum pans.
Perfect for my needs
I wasn’t sure how often I will use it but decided to get it as it was on sale. We use it very often. if it is for smelly / oily cooking that better to do outside or just because the kitchen is already busy. Great product, highly recommended. perfect control over heat. I am not using the built in plans but it’s nice to go over the manual and know what is available.
