    OK
Product OK read another review about the battery life lasting 45 mins but probably only lasted me half an hour that’s the only issue with it other than that Strimmer did the job I needed it to do charges up fast enough to go back and finish job

    Handy extendable trimme
I’ve only had it for two weeks now. It’s very handy for trimming the side of my 4 metre high rear leylandi hedge especially the top which is over 1 metre in depth. It’s slightly lighter than my main 66 cm blade mains hedge trimmer, but at full extension and at an angle you will feel the weight especially when up on a 4 metre ladder. The battery lasted much longer than I expected and it charges quickly. Happy overall and would recommend. In May I’ll use it to trim the top of my front hedge which is only 2 metres high but will use my mains trimmer for the sides.

    Great cutter!
Brilliant cutter, sturdy, not too heavy for us ladies, I have an old farmhouse with10ft high hedgerow & lots of trees & bushes, cuts them really easily, battery holds it’s charge really well approx 1 hour, great price for such a good cutter, would highly recommend!

    you wont be disappointed
Great value for money, ignore it being heavy in the reviews. Its well made and with 2 batteries supplied just fantastic. Proofs in the pudding about this Tool It worked perfectly well with me on a ladder and 10ft edge I’m so pleased with this trimmer. Remember peeps don’t believe everything you read this is a marvellous addition to your tool shed.

    Heavy but worth i
As others have said, this is remarkably heavy in use as the weight sits towards the front end and the strap is positioned towards the back. Following a previous reviewers advice (thank you!) I manage to fashion an additional strap towards the front which then joined with the existing. Also found it easier as a right handed person to use the on switch in my left hand.
Once this was ‘remodelled’ it was great. Cuts well, minimal jamming, easy to change angle and a good reach across width of hedge. Good battery life, if you have a lot of hedges it is worthwhile getting the additional battery. Overall I am very pleased with purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSceptical
I was sceptical about buying this as i always bought cabled tools in the past , i have long hedges in my garden and high ones and was tired of getting out cable extensions etc and occasionally cutting cables !!!! First impression was it was very easy to assemble by the instructions , the other good reason was a spare battery a good bonus .Well i tried it today and was well impressed , it lasted well over forty five minutes trimming and was still showing plenty of power excellent product and value for the price .

I used this for the first time this afternoon and was very impressed by the performance. It’s very easy to use with good battery life and having a spare battery is very helpful. As others have said, it is quite heavy so you get a bit of a workout whilst using it. The extension pole and the ability to easily adjust the angle of the cutting head make it easy to cut the top of a high hedge but it would be good to be able to use it without the pole to reduce the weight when cutting lower parts.
Overall I think it’s a worthwhile purchase. Hope it’s as durable as it feels.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThought this would be too good to be true for the money, but it's not, it's a good buy
Not a heavy duty professional model but I would imagine more than adequate for most domestic properties.
It’s light weight for what it is but anything hanging of the end of a 2 or 3 metre pole can be be cumbersome to handle. The batteries are small and light so don’t offer much balance to the weight of the machine on the other end. Although small (only 1500mAHr) one battery will provide enough power to do about as much cutting as most are likely to want to do in one hit. With clearing up time in between and fast charging of the second battery you can achieve close to continuous operation if you are that enthusiastic! My only criticism is that they could have made the extension pole a detachable option so that the handle/trigger could be mounted directly to the cutter for close up work.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA decent choice for an extended hedge trimme
From the specs this is lighter than other hedge trimmers with extension – it is still not that light and not that easy to handle – I am getting use to it – it is certainly worth using the supplied strap for manoeuvrability

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersA real Godsend! No other word for it.
Before I bought this last week, cutting our large variety of hedges, bushes and undergrowth need the services of our old mains hedge trimmer. Our old beast is very loud.
It required a very long extension lead, and I have cut through the cable three times now! I needed a stepladder, wooden blocks to go under the feet, someone to hold the ladder steady, ear-defenders and some risky stretches to reach the high bits.
Life just got a whole lot easier. All I needed was gloves and goggles. This machine is a lot quieter.
I researched all the other main makes and chose this one for several reasons – all of which turned out to be vital:
It is extendible without having to insert a separate extension piece. All it needs is to unscrew the big plastic knob and then extend it. Very simple.
It is not as heavy as some of the others, but it is still heavy. You certainly know you’ve spent time cutting!
It has two batteries. Each one cut a lot of hedges. At my mid seventies age, two batteries last for as much as I have the energy to cut, so it’s a natural limiter.
    It’s very well made indeed.
It was around 100 less than the next choice, the two batteries were the clincher.
    TIPS
    1. Being right-handed, it was more comfortable to operate the switch with my left hand.
    2. When assembling, the part with the motor pushes into the other section, carrying the battery. There is a sprung domed button which will pop out through the small location hole when it’s been pushed in properly. That last little bit took a firm push. Make absolutely certain that you are pushing it in the right way round.
3.The strap needed loosening to fit me, when my head and arm were pushed through the loop.
    IMPORTANT UPDATE
I’ve just used it again and life got a whole lot easier when I added a strap loop, made out of cable ties and gaffer tape, at the other end of the handle. See the photo. Now it isn’t heavy and I could use it all day if I needed to. Putting the strap on that loop meant that it is now balanced on the strap and, when I extended it, the weight was in the right place whereas before, it made it a lot heavier.
I might make something a bit more permanent but it works fine now.

Lightweight but only good for shaping
Lightweight long reach – far easer on the arms than a petrol version. This is my second one , the first was caught a few times on thick branches and wrecked the internal cogs . The Hawthorn was subsequently cut to shape by tractor , but this is great to trim new shoots before they get too thick & spiny in late summer.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo much better than expected
I’ve sent back a couple of this kind of cordless hedge trimmer as they are just too weak and don’t last long but this one is different. It’s not as strong as a corded but almost and is lighter than some too. The extendable aspect is a great boon but does make it heaver but still easier than being up a ladder. AS of the battery life. I cut a whole side of a 70m country hedge and it is still going. Then I tackle a thicket of brambles, hawthorn and elder and it did well.
Very pleased with is – I hope it last as I love – if it gives up I will be back to add to this review but so far so good.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNice trimmer, works well. You
    Very effective trimmer indeed.
No more electric cable to cut through and no need for the wobbly step ladder to reach top of the hedge.
I managed to trim both sides of rear garden and the hedge out the front easily and neatly on the same battery which still had power to do more.
The length adjustment and angle of cutting blade are easy to adjust in seconds.
The spare battery is handy to have on standby if you have a larger than average garden.
My only criticism is that’s it’s a little on the heavy side and after trimming for an hour non stop you feel it in the shoulder the next day.
The quality feels very good and solid and for the price I managed to secure this trimmer I am very satisfied with the purchase.

9 Month review - Outstanding performer.
First of all, I will state that I’m a Makita fan. Most of my electrical garden & DIY equipment is Makita brand and mostly cordless/battery operated. I am a gardener and was looking for a long reach battery operated hedge cutter. I read a few articles, watched some You Tube video’s and then read even more articles on what was available. I was erring toward a Makita but the 300 price tag was making my eyes water, so I eventually convinced myself that at a third of the cost this Terratek would possibly fit the bill. And if it didn’t I wouldn’t be massively out of pocket. I did order an extra battery as I felt just the one wouldn’t be sufficient. I’ve probably used it to around 20 – 25 hedges of varying size and constitution so far. The blade has kept its edge and no degradation of the batteries that I can tell.

So 9 months in, what’s the pros and cons?

    Pro’s –
Incredibly light, which in turn makes it easily manoeuvrable.
Telescopic, for those hard to reach higher bits, no need for a ladder.
    Adjustable head, very useful.
Battery life, amazing. I have just cut the top of a 25 metre hedge which is a mixture of Ivy, Cherry Laurel and Hawthorne. I had to do both sides and total time for that bit was about an hour +/-. The battery indicator was on Amber. Which for a 1.5a/h battery is amazingly good. And recharging takes no time.

    Cons –
Just the one and really I’m nit picking with this one. The balance is biased toward the head, a heavier/larger battery would make it better balanced. But in reality it’s not that bad. Just makes your arms ache a little if you’re working at full extension and lower than 45 degrees to the vertical.
Would I buy another? – In a heartbeat.

    Sturdy hedgecutte
Quite large to manoeuvre but not to heavy, used for medium height shrubs. Makes the job of cutting back shrubs so much easier and saves a lot of time. Battery powered is definitely convenient, power pack charges quickly and lasts well.

    A brilliant produc
Initially frustrated by getting the assembly correct, a YouTube video put me straight. I was sceptical about the battery life and power but was honestly astonished. It trimmed a 12ft high, 30 ft long conifer hedge without running out of battery. Quite heavy to work, the shoulder strap is a necessity. I recommend this product which is great value for money.

It did the job for me
I found this tool simple to assemble and reasonably east to use and manoeuvre. There’s a limit to how light a trimmer on the end of a long pole that has the power to cut through twigs can be, but this tool seems to strike a good balance. Any more powerful or with a better battery life would mean significantly more weight. I was pleased with the purchase as it performed about as well as I could have expected

    Great value
I’ve owned a cordless Terratek grass trimmer for a year which has been (and continues to be) fabulous. When I saw Terratek did a cordless cutter I went for it because of the first hand use of the grass strimmer, but also because they use the same battery pack, so I now have 3 batteries to use across these devices, which is great from a convenience perspective due to a large amount of maintenance the garden needs.

I terms of operation, set up, cutting, blade angles, weight etc, I’m really happy with this product. It is mid-market I’d say, but very good already for the money as build quality too seems like it is deigned to last.

    Does a great job
After reading plenty of reviews decided to purchase this product. Very easy to put together and battery very light. It does have a strap which makes it easier to handle. Being 5ft 1inch it was still very top heavy for me, but successfully did a good job on the hedge which was 8ft tall.

Delivered on time, easy to assemble (if you follow the instructions regarding the ‘pins’) and feels good quality.
We have 6 foot hedges around our garden, this trimmer is more convenient and easier to use than our mains one. The weight is at the cutter end but it’s easy to manage with the help of the shoulder strap provided.
Up to now I’ve used it for about 30 minutes on one charge so battery life seems good too.

My last one came with two battery packs, one of which died very quickly. The new one now only has one battery pack, so I hope that it will last more than a few months.
