After being ever so slightly put off by a couple of reviews mentioning the weight of this, I was pleasantly impressed with how well it operates despite being a little heavy. It cuts brilliantly and the battery last a long time. At over three time cheaper than a petrol trimmer it is an absolutely brilliant purchase.

So for the money no complaints, so easy to set up & use, so far cut hedges, cut back overgrown small trees & shrubs with no issue, and altho heavy when fully extended for what it can do outweighs that small issue.. more than happy as the time it usually takes to do those jobs more than halved!!

Does the job , value for money
It’s very good for the price, charge lasts well but it is very heavy so a little awkward for ladies to handle but theirs no getting round this with these extending trimmers.
I can’t rate this high enough as you can see from my pictures, it’s will do any job. Love it.
A good quality cutter.
The cutter proved to be a worthwhile investment. As advertised it cut my privet and leylandii hedges with no issues. I’ve also bought a strimmer from the same company on the strength of this product.
Unfortunately my hedge cutter stopped working after 22 months , up till then it was an excellent cutter, I checked and found they have a 24 months warranty , so I contacted them to see if they would repair this under its guarantee ,after a couple of emails they decided to replace the battery f o c it arrived within 48 hours , I charged it up and , it didn’t work another email and they were so helpful and courteous , and said they would sent me a replacement unit , this arrived in under 24 hours from the email , we don’t always praise people up for doing the right thing , I just wanted my old one to work , but they replaced it under warranty immediately , I am now looking to replace my other gardens things to use this company because it’s nice to find a company that cares about their customers

They DON'T have to be expensive to be good !
I was worried I wouldn’t manage with these hedge cutter’s as I’m only five feet tall. However, I’m over the moon with them so far . They are very light …………well they do get heavy after a while but make a really good job of the hedges and shrubs. They are easy to put together and charge quickly.
I can honestly highly recommend them, they’re easy and light enough for small women to use as well . Delighted with them thank you !
Excellent piece of kit for money
Totally impressed with this product, excellent for reaching high out of the way places, cut through established hedging/Ivy/ smaller shrub branches no problem. The only thing I found, when on full extension the weight is unbalanced and a bit difficult to hold. Having said that a stronger person will probably not have any problems. On the whole I’d fully recommend, it paid for itself the very first day I used it. Oh…and it holds a charge very well, I done an awful lot on the first full charge of battery.

Makes cutting hedges so easy. Particularly like it can be manoeuvred into a horizontal position to go across top of hedge. My son found it quite heavy to hold though but didn’t need ladders to cut hedge. Much quicker than usual. Would recommend you do need to go on YouTube to find how to get it to work. For some reason the relevant bit is not in the instruction booklet. Realised that on the box a sticker saying go to YouTube was very important.

I would have given 5 stars if the assembly instructions in the instruction booklet were clearer, took us ages to make it work as the pins hadn’t engaged, then we watched the video on how to assemble (obviously other people must have had similar problems for them to make a video) & then it was simple! Tip – make sure your extend it using the orange knob & lengthen it then you can see the pins have engaged when you put it together. Once working was great, a little top-heavy but I managed to prune high conifers with ease. Good value for money & great for pruning high hedges

An Excellent New Garden Tool!
This is exactly what I need for doing those hedges where it is too inconvenient to run an extension wire. It is not as “tough” or Gung Ho as my elderly mains powered Gardena trimmer (which I abuse dreadfully!)., but as something which I can just pick up and use everywhere, and without the boring prep of laying out cables, it is brilliant.
Do take care when assembling – the two parts really do need to be slotted firmly together – as it says in the instructions!

I bought this to trim ivy growing over a fence also for trimming the top of tall bushes. I have not had the opportunity to use it properly as yet but on first attempt I found it easy to handle. I previously bought a Terratek short hedge trimmer which I have used successfully all year.
Value for money
Easy to use. Comes with shoulder strap to help support the weight. Blade will cut thin branches on tree so ideal for tidying up my trees. Brilliant for hedges. Would recommend this product.

This Terratek hedge trimmer had some excellent reviews and I can honestly say that so far the hedge trimmer has met and indeed exceeded our expectations. Each battery lasts at least 1 hour and the charger can charge the spare battery in 1 hour, so theoretically you could continue hedge trimming all day by simply swapping over the batteries !

None of these items are really lightweight because of the fact that there is a motor on board plus high grade steel cutters, but this hedge trimmer is definitely one of the lightest and is provided with a shoulder strap for support assistance. Reaches the parts other hedge trimmers didn'
Bought this to replace my other corded trimmer after cutting the wire too many times! The mobility provided by going cordless is great and speeds the process of cutting the hedges considerably. The long handle and tilting angled head mean you can reach lots of places you cant with other hedge cutters. I wish you could completely remove the handle and still use the trimmer so that it is easier to wield closer too, as it is still a little hefty, but this is a small gripe and I am still glad I bought it!

For the price this is a pretty decent hedge trimmer. I’m a women and found it heavy but not unduly so and I could manage short bursts at a time. You have to get the angle of the cutter right for high hedges – just takes a bit of trial and error. Overall happy with produc
easy to assemble and use
I find it quite heavy and awkward to use but I am under 5 feet tall, I tried it out yesterday and it cut through the overgrown hedge like butter. I have not as yet tried it with the extended handle. I found it easy to assemble, the instructions were very clear and well written. I think I will get considerable use from this hedge trimmer if the weather cooperates.

Was easy to assemble. Used it other day to tackle my front hedge. I used the trimmer for well over 45 mins and it still had plenty if charge left. It handled my forsythia very well and I was impressed. A good buy.

When it originally arrived I thought I had an issue with the battery, but the company were quick on correspondence to resolve the issue, I then realised a part was missing and they immediately sent it out to me. Fantastic product and company to deal with! Would buy off them again in the future.

I have had this nearly two years now and use it a lot as I have a 1.5 acre site, plus a long lane I share with my neighbours farm. So a lot of use for this hedge trimmer and so far it doesn’t dissapoint. I did purchase two extra batteries and I numbered them to use them in rotation. I usually use them for about 30 minutes and put them on charge while I use the next one as I feel this is better for the batteries. Extremely pleased with my purchase and though I have two petrol trimmers too, I always choose this one as it is both lighter & easier to use.

Perhaps a little heavy after a while but not excessive, most of the time with the its I am trying to trim it is perfectly OK. Love it! My husband has a petrol one but its too big and heavy for me to use. This is easy to use. Cuts multiple hedges in know time. Heavier than I thought it would be but body strap helps to take some of the weight, a light weight one looked to flimsy.

Having said that it was easy to use and did a cracking job. It is fairly light considering what it is but it isnt easy on the arms after a while (just take a min or 2 to relax your arms and all good) but I think none of these products are that light anyway.
Returning and going for a different brand purely as we need to get the hedge cut asap, if not I’d ask for a replacement as I believe this is just an unfortunate case, the return process seems a little complicated as I have to wait to hear from the company before sending back, hopefully they will get in touch as stated and I will get my money back. Overall if you dont have a defective battery then I’d say it’s a decent product.

Versatile and easy to use
Great hedge trimmer, easy to use and with the long pole, great to reach parts that normally would be out of reach. Great result on the hedge, and love that the battery fits the strimmer too, although not used that yet, as now winter.

This trimmer is good for the money. Battery life is ok depending on what you are cutting. Perfect for laurel hedges but anything thicker it struggles a bit. Reach is good but becomes heavy after a while.

Certainly not the best of its kind and A bit fiddly when trying to cut close to you, but 10X faster and less painful than none cutters.

Was easy to assemble. I am a fit female 79 pensioner and it was length of it that I found difficult to balance. However I gave it to one of my family, who did my hedges and then took it for doing his. He’s delighted with it.

The length of battery time was good 50mins approx. The balance is a bit tricky but that will come with use. Judging the cutting width is something you have to watch, if too thick it jams up.

Easy to set up and use, and about as light as you could reasonable expect for the size of the tool.
I was a bit disappointed by how small the blade section is relative to the rest of the device, and the cutting power isn’t quite as good as what I had expected – but it works absolutely fine and handles well. All in all a solid purchase.
Effective produc
The Long Reach Cordless Electric Hedge Trimmer is very effective for trimming the hedges, but when extended for long reach it is a bit heavy. If a handle attachment is incorporated in the design it may make it more easy to use.

Product purchased for tall and wide hedges. It does the job but is quite heavy when extended. I am Able to manage it but it does take a while to get used to it. The battery life is adequate for my needs. Over all happy with the tool so far.

Surprised how effectively this sorts bushes. Battery still going for the interim growing that has been helped on by recent rain and sun. It needs to be a bit heavy, and wearing the strap to counterbalance is clever. very good for the price.

Good value for money trimme
I am happy with this trimmer, its relatively light and easy to use. It is not as robust as mains corded trimmer would be and it can jam momentarily if you try to cut thick pieces of branch but you get used to what it will do. Value for money I thinks its fine.

Easy to put together, good extension for tall hedges and battery life good. Motor good and cuts well but not through thicker branches so could do with another blade for them. Still pretty good. Biggest drawback is the weight. It is heavy and makes using it for prolonged periods difficult especially if you are aged.

Cuts very well. But this is so heavy – too heavy for me to use for a long time. The long handle (which does not retract to short) helps for those high up branches/hedges, but the handle is too long for a normal waist height hedge.

I purchased this so I could cut hedges etc so as to stop nagging OH..he has a petrol one..Absolutely ideal..not too heavy and cuts really well..blades nice & sharp. Good reach. Now OH keeps using it 🙁 and a neighbour has an eye on it too!!
Great Quality, Versatile and Robus
I’m very happy with this purchase. The battery charges and lasts very well, it hasn’t run down on me yet. I like the folding angle of the blade as it allows me to cut at different heights. Yes, there is a shoulder strap provided but still, when held at length, it’s heavy. I’m 59 and in good health but I do need frequent short rests with it, but only ten or twenty seconds. Blade cuts well, all in all, delighted.

I chose this product because we have a really tall, untidy hedge. The hedge cutter is everything I hoped it would be. It is lightweight, cuts really well, the reach is amazing and the battery life is excellent. I am an over 60s woman and used the hedge trimmer with ease. Recommended.
I found the hedge trimmer too heavy with the weight at the end of the extended pole making it unwieldy for me. Others with more upper body strength might be fine hence I have not deducted a star as it is good value and had I been able to use the hedge cutter without the extension I may not have returned the item.

Cutting H'edge.
Very impressed with this tool. Used it on a thick hedge, 35 feet long, over 9 feet high and four feet thick. It took almost an hour to cut it and the battery worked well for the whole time. Working along the top, and stretching over, it did get a bit heavy, but nothing unbearable. Great cutting power and reach with the angled head for the top. It cut through branches up to 3/4 inch and did an excellent job. Put it on charge when I finished and it was fully charged again within two hours. Brill. !! Totally recommend this.
I must admit that I was surprised by the weight and overall size of the machine. It’s big and because of its length, and the leverage that results, it can be a bit of a maul. It cuts very well and the battery managed 4 large bushes no problem. One fault is that the plastic loop where the strap is clipped broke within minutes. It seems to be in the wrong place which put to much pressure on it. I then looped the strap around the tube extension and it worked well. I’m 72 but well built. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who isn’t in good

I’m a 70+ man and I found it still heavier than expected and, although found it much easier to cut the vertical faces of my bushes, the tops are still difficult due to the trimmer’s weight.
I can get over it by use of a ladder and shortening the reach but it’s a problem I’d hoped this trimmer would eradicate.
So, although the weight was an issue for me and is a factor prospective b users should take into account, it certainly cuts well and I use it for 90% of the bushes around my home

This took me 3 minutes to get ready for the first cut. The company, having placed the order through Amazon, emailed me a link to a video showing how to put together and ‘best use’ ideas. I recommend looking at it.
