Having wanted a smartwatch for some time I ordered a Kosbet T2. It was a good looking watch, but it would not connect Bluetooth however much I tried. Saw this watch and read the reviews. Upon ordering the watch which was 289 but I saw an option to buy a returned but perfect one for 120, a no brainier. When the watch was delivered, the packaging was previously opened (obviously) but the watch and contents were in perfect condition. I absolutely love it. It’s the answer to all my requirements in a smartwatch. Charged it up to 100% and it lost 10% overnight on my wrist. I have a heart murmur and have had an incident of AFib. This watch monitors my heart rate constantly and gives me a comprehensive report including AFib alerts. Could be a life saver then. I would really recommend this watch.
I’ve been a mobvoi customer ever since they launched their Kickstarter project ages ago, and this is the 5th watch i’ve owned from them so far.
i’ve worn this current iteration the Ultra GPS edition for over a month now and here are some takeaways.
Fit and Function:
I’ve added side by side comparison’s of the previous and current iterations. Its more of an evolution than revolution in this case, however the refinements are where it matters.
the current model(right side) has a better looking Bezel with some slanted patterns giving it a more premium feel. The extra button on the side can be configured to launch a few pre programmed options.
the strap feels more comfortable whilst wearing long hours, don’t feel the need to scratch an itch which would happen on other watches when sweating. The watch face can be changed using the many out of the box faces or using a 3rd party app like Facer which i use.
There are a host of 3rd party apps that can be downloaded on the watch like Outlook, YTMusic etc
Battery Life:
the battery life is much better i’m getting roughly 2.5days on normal use and it will vary based on individual usage and also depends on things like 24h tracking for health stats which consumes more power. Of course the low power mode of the E-ink type 2nd screen is fantastic for battery life but there are a few caveats once thats turned on.
Software and Usability:
the software hasn’t changed much, nothing to do with Mobvoi but google trying to protect the pixel watch and its big money partner Samsung, so this hasn’t gotten the WearOS 3 update as yet.
there are some struggles with the software with occasional stutters , like while changing the watch faces or trying to access notifications. Not a deal breaker but minor annoyance.
the overall actions are snappy with no noticeable lags at most times other than the occasional ones mentioned before. The new snapdragon processor is noticeably better than the one in the predecessor
Fitness and Tracking:
i cannot compare this against other devices but the stats seems pretty accurate. I’ve checked the steps and sleep tracking.this data can be accessed on the phone via the Mobvoi app as well on the watch. it tracks heart rate and SPO2 and also has some nifty features like noise levels and some meditation sets like Breathe etc. it can check Stress levels. and the sensors can be turned on for a 24h round the clock tracking.
Conclusion:
This is a great device at a pretty sweet price. The hardware is amazing but the software is what trulyy holds it back from becoming amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great looking versatile smartwatch that can go toe to toe with the bes
Great watch, two pitfalls, battery life and lack of Wear OS 3.
The watch is really good and eveything work as it should, just two complains:
Battery life, as on all smartwatches, is always “short”.
Mobvoi should upgrade this watch to Wear OS 3, it has been too much wait. Where is Weos OS 3 Mobvoi?
Amazing watch fitness watch
I bought this watch as I recently bought the Mobvoi treadmill pro and this watch was recommended as a companion to it as it can connect to the treadmill and record all data from an exercise.
My review:
Design
First thing I noticed when setting up the watch is how light it is, I was expecting it to feel quite heavy and look bulky on my wrist due to all the features it has built in but it’s the opposite it looks slim on the wrist and very light. The watch looks great in formal wear and the screen is perfect size for navigating through apps or using maps I have even used it to reply to a few messages with it the keyboard is quite small as you would expect but voice to text has captured what I want to say really well.
Battery life:
I started to move away from these type watches a few years back due to having to charge them daily and went for watches with less functionality to increase battery life. This watch however the battery life is amazing with all sensors on and 24/7 tracking I can get 2 day battery life, with essential mode you can extend this to 3-4 days and you can set a time when the essential mode will turn on and off so overnight you can save a lot of battery power and you don’t have to keep remembering to switch it back and forth between modes.
Fitness Tracking:
This watch has a lot of sensors on it and every day I seem to be finding additional features I was not aware of. I started with using it mainly for tracking workouts and sleep but I’m starting to monitor my stress and psychical and mental status as well as its interesting to see triggers in a working day on when stress levels are high or energy low to find ways to overcome them.
Performance:
I was really impressed with how smooth this watch is when scrolling through the menu, I tried to push the watch to its limits but even when using Spotify on the watch linked through Bluetooth headphones, tracking a workout and scrolling through the menu I saw no lag or freezing. This watch can take anything you can throw at it.
Apps
There are a lot of built in apps to track fitness as well as your usual calculator/torch/stopwatch type apps but as this runs on android wear it allows a lot of extra apps to be installed. This is something I have missed with my previous watches as they all had their own software on them so limited third party apps.
Overall
I would highly recommend this watch to anyone that is looking into a smart watch that’s has all the bells and whistles when it comes to fitness tracking. This is probably the best purchase I have done this year and very happy it, the dual screen is a game changer.
Excellent battery life & great in house fitness apps
Firstly, the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS looks big on your wrist, which it is, but its size means you can benefit fully from the lovely clear display. Also the silicone strap is extremely comfortable and makes the watch very easy to wear.
This watch is really great value as it offers a myriad of features. As well as Ticwatch’s own built in suite of superb health & fitness apps, the watch runs on Google’s WearOS so users are able to download lots of other apps from 3rd parties. This is very useful if you have already invested into a favourite regime which you wish to stick with. However I found the watch’s own health apps to be everything I require and I use these in preference to the Google Fit apps (which are already built in) or any other options (available to download from Play Store). In terms of sleep analysis I like the fact that TicSleep automatically starts monitoring this at bedtime so I don’t need to do anything.
When it came to linking the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS to my phone this was no trouble at all and having downloaded the Mobvoi phone app I can view all the health data on very clear and accessible display graphics.
It’s not just health and fitness apps either: you can use Google Pay from this watch, check your appointments, keep an eye on the weather etc. – the list just goes on and on…
Battery life is far and away superior to my previous smartwatches; in tracking my daily “home gym” activity and receiving notifications from the likes of Whatsapp, sports results etc.; in other words a very respectable amount of “smartwatch” usage I can easily get 3 days between charges.
When the watch needs to switch to “essential” mode I understand you can get a total of up to 45 days watch display. However as I only want full smartwatch functionality I will only be going into essential mode by accident and therefore don’t expect to be benefiting to the full extent of this great feature.
I really love the advantage of having a dual display on the watch. Being able to simply raise your arm to reveal a basic watch face to read the time whilst not needing to access the full smartwatch display I find very useful; after all, I don’t want to look at the number of my daily steps etc. every time I want to know the time. Also, being able to change the colour of the backlight is a neat touch which you can use to suit different light conditions. These are great features.
To sum up this is a great smartwatch which is comfortable to wear, offers all the apps and features I can think of and has a battery life which I reckon other smartwatch users would be envious of. A definite recommended purchase.
While the hardware on this watch is impressive, the preinstalled “Tic” bloatware really lets it down. The sleep tracking, health tracking, blood oxygenation tracking, and a couple of other advertised features are quite innacurate and require external apps which, while preinstalled, are somewhat cumbersome to use.
Personally, I’m not quite happy with the requirement to link to a Mobvoi account and install an additional app on my phone to use all the features of this watch. Some of them (like sleep tracking) aren’t even accurate and aren’t worth the hassle.
That being said, the watch itself makes up for its software problems in hardware. The always-on LCD is super easy to read in bright sunlight, takes up little to no batter, and will even kick in when the main “WatchOS” shuts down due to low power. It’s sorta like a stealth feature!
I haven’t had a chance to test out the GPS functionality in depth, but I’m not even sure it works as using Google maps, it doesn’t seem to be able to pinpoint my location without the presence of my phone nearby.
But the real reason I bought this watch as an upgrade from my old LG G Watch R was due to the built-in NFC capabilities. I’ve been using Google Pay on this device for a year or so now and it’s yet to let me down! Really happy with the convenience of being able to hold my wrist up to contactless card readers and pay for things with my hands full and without needing a phone on me.
Overall, a good value for money, but I worry the device’s software has been long abandoned. Your best bet is buying a newer watch made in 2022/2023 or by flashing your own watch firmware on the device.
Best WearOS Smartwatch overall, specially in battery life!
I’ve had this watch wishlisted ever since it came out, saw (too many) reviews and finally decided to buy it since my older smartwatch (the first Ticwatch Pro) was slow after all these years.
Was I in for a treat!
Battery life:
For me, one of the most important things on a smartwatch because I don’t want to charge it everyday and I don’t, not even 2 days, but actually getting 3 to 4 days of battery life with a workout a day and automatic Essential mode during the night since it barely spends battery but still keeps sleeptracking on and it only lights up the screen if you want as well. It’s amazing and from all the reviews I’ve seen, it’s beats all competition by a lot!
Performance: The speed of this watch is great, with no lag and any app’s performance is just great as well. Even when using watch faces from Facer that are heavy and sluggish, the watch just used them normally. Also tried the new watchface app from Mobvoi and it works even better.
The features:
This watch has everything I could ever need on a watch, 24h monitoring of heart rate, oxygen in blood levels, stress, noise, steps and all the things you’ve read on the product. They’re all there. And another great thing, it also syncs with Google Fit so you have different ways to look at the data.
Added a screenshot of a night’s sleep and the amount of detail there is great, even when using it in Essential mode.
Can’t wait for the wearOs3 update for all of this to be even better
So, long story short, love the watch, it’s software and only having to charge it every 3 to 4 days just makes this the best Smartwatch experience for me.
Things I’d like to see on a next one:
– WearOS3
– A rotating crown, maybe one of the existing ones (Pixel Watch’s is great)
– Customisable LCD screen
– Qi Wireless Charging (for more compatibility)
– Even better battery life?
A smart watch that did not disappoint.
As someone who has used the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS for several weeks, I can confidently say that it is a fantastic smartwatch. The GPS capabilities are top-notch and have consistently provided accurate tracking of my outdoor activities especially my walks. The large display is easy to read, even in bright sunlight, and the watch’s overall design is sleek and stylish.
One of the features that I particularly appreciate is the long battery life. With up to 72 hours of use on a single charge, I never have to worry about running out of power when I’m out and about. And when it does come time to charge the watch, it’s quick and easy to do so.
The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is also packed with a variety of sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and heart rate monitor, which have all proven to be reliable and accurate. These sensors, combined with the watch’s powerful processor, have made it a great tool for tracking my workouts and overall activity levels.
Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS. It is a feature-rich smartwatch that has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and style. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality smartwatch that can keep up with their active lifestyle.
I boldly recommend this watch!
I have had this watch for about a month now. First impressions upon unboxing were impressive. It feels really solid and robust. Upon switching on, the initial set up process was simple.
This watch is absolutely packed with great features. The “dual screen” means that you can use the watch to see the time etc, without the full colour bright screen kicking in every time.
With both Google’s own WearOS as the basis for the watch and Mobvoi’s additional apps on top give you all the features and functionality you could need.
The large touchscreen is very clear and wonderfully responsive, making it very easy to use, even for something like calculator, where the margin for error is relatively small, the watch did really well.
I’ve used the watch to record steps, running (GPS), walking (GPS), and fitness workouts, which it handled comfortably. Tracking day to day health through heart rate, oxygen saturations and sleep tracking are all included and seem to work flawlessly.
Battery life is good, even with all the features switched on I got 3-4 days out of it.
Most of the settings are managed through the watch itself, and although I would like to be able to do this through the app too, it’s not a big inconvenience.
The watch/app also has the ability to link with other sports tracking apps, like Google Fit (obviously), and Strava, which for me was an absolute must.
Final thing worth mentioning is the notifications which work well and also allow you to send some basic responses from the watch.
it looks nice and feels ok while wearing and I wear my watch nearly 24/7, the only time I take it off is to charge, the battery isn’t that brilliant about 2 days before it needs charging, you can have like an eco mode to make battery life longer but u can’t really do anything on the watch while in that mode, you just see the time, date, battery level and step counter, in normal mode there are quite a few things you can do, track all your fitness stuff, use apps, make or receive calls, controll music onyour phone plus more, the thing is though those things will drain the battery quicker while in use
Ultra long battery life and usable
I still can’t quite get my head around the battery life – at the end of day one from full charge, it still has well over 80% left. I charge it every 2 days but could easily get away with every 3 or possibly 4 days. The app is simple and easy to use and setting up the watch couldn’t be easier. I have a number of smart watches – more than I need! – but this is by far the most practical one. All the features you would expect in a smart (excuse the pun) package. If you want a smartwatch that isn’t an Apple watch then this is the one for you.
Grea
Great little watch , good screen very clear fits perfect has great apps and second screen works a treat. Slightly confusing getting round all the apps and setting but I thinks it will just take time to get used to i
A good Google Wear smart watch
Having worn this watch for a couple of weeks now I’m really impressed with the range of features it has compared to my previous smart watch.
When I first opened the box I could see it was a bit larger than my previous one and wasn’t sure if that’d suit me, but it is not heavy or cumbersome. The buttons on the side stick out a bit but have not caught on my wooly jumper. The dual screen is really helpful, the LCD shows the basic info I need to see (the time ) without having to wake the OLED which must save the battery.
As the OS is Google Wear there so many apps available and a fair few settings on the that I have not tried quite all of them all yet but what I’ve discovered so far is…..
Changing the watch face is so easy, just press on the face a moment and the list of options appears. I find most of the options too masculine for me so it’d be great if more neutral/feminine options become available.
The Google translate feature is fab, speak into the watch and it translates to text and flips the screen upside down so you can hold your arm up comfortably to show the translation.
I also love that you can answer phone calls on the watch and speak into the watch, I feel like as though I’m on a Sci fi show!
Battery life is impressive and lasts about 3 days. The charger attaches magnetically and does not take to long to charge back up either.
My only real issue work you has watch is it does not count my steps when I’m pushing my daughter in her pushchair. I selected ‘outdoor walk’ in the TicExercise app but it only registered 30 steps in a 45 min walk. My old watch was the same. Walking whilst holding a phone to my ear registers but not pushing a push chair or trolley. Unless there’s a setting somewhere I’ve been unable to find so far??
Excellent smart watch
Very stylish dual screen display watch. Battery lasts couple of days with full usage.
I use it everyday even whilst sleeping to monitor different activities.
Definitely worth an upgrade!
An excellent smartwatch compatible with IOS
It is an excellent smart watch which is compatible with my Iphone. I was not sure if an android watch could easily connect with ios or there would be a non functionality but the setup went so smooth and easy that I liked it from the beginning.
The design is sleek and beautiful that it has a classic style for a smartwatch. For daily and fitness use, I found it stylish. I have been using this watch for 5-6 days and I only charged it once. I can say it is way beyond my expectations in terms of battery life and even if you monitor your health conditions for 24hr, the battery lasts very long. I also had a chance to test its specs and I can say location, distance and speed are monitored accurately without any problem. I used the sleep tracking for a few days and it was accurate as well. The navigation through the app is fast and the operating system is very responsive. In addition, the synchronization between my watch and my Iphone is excellent.
One last thing that makes me impressed about this watch is that it is very durable. I have a little one and we always play very actively. So far, I hit my watch to the tile ground once and my little one dropped it to the hard surface but luckily there is not even a single scratch.
A worthy successor to the TicWatch throne, this watch reigns supreme!
Having previously owned the TicWatch S/e and the TicWatch GTH it only seemed natural to progress towards the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra
Compared to its predecessors, the design of this TicWatch is sublime and sleek with a slim bezel and attractive metal body. This is a watch that can be worn for all occasions (Including the pool thanks to its IP68 waterproof design!)
The battery life is impressive, managing to go 4 days without charge with moderate use along with sleep tracking each night and the supplied USB charger means you’re never far from an outlet should you need to give it some juice
The watch is incredibly fast and responsive and armed with an array of features including: Long Battery Life, Advanced Health & Fitness monitoring, Heart Rate Tracking, Sleep Tracking & Stress Monitoring
There’s full Google Assistant and Google Wear OS support too – So it’s great knowing all your favourite apps and watch faces are going to be compatible with the watch and with Google Pay also built into the watch there’s never been such a fast and easy way to pay when out and about
Having used TicWatch products for the best part of 5 years it’s safe to say I know exactly what I was getting when I bought this product, just like every previous MobVoi TicWatch the Pro 3 Ultra provides excellent value for money, attractive design and an array of features far surpassing what you’d expect for the price poi
Great battery life, great dual scree
Really pleased with the watch, great for tracking activities – GPS tracking is accurate. Logs all sleep information in the app correctly and battery life is great – especially using the dual screen function.
Quality sports watch
This is my 3rd ticwatch and they’ve improved each time. The dual screen is great, you can save so much battery because you don’t have to wake the smart features to see your steps, time, date and most importantly, for me anyway, battery life
Setup is easy in Android, just install the Google wear OS app on your phone, pair it, and you can get all your data to sync plus change watch faces, which there are loads of. I use the Blues one because it shows calendar, steps, calories burned and precise battery level.
Small things like the vibration for notification feel nicer than the previous version, the strap is a really nice feeling rubbery plastic, bezel is also nice.
In summary, a high quality feel, great screens, minimal lag even when waking make this my favourite yet.
Impressive smart watch
Really impressed with this watch. As an owner of the original tic watch Pro I can honestly say this is a vast improvement. The body of the watch is much thinner and feels a lot less bulky on the wrist compared to the original. The battery life is very impressive I only had to charge it after 4 days of use after its initial charge. But I do put it on do not disturb during work. The mobile app is a lot more polished now and shows a lot of insight into your health stats. The sleep tracking is also very impressive with it picking up on a the broken sleep you would expect of the parent of a 7 month old
Ticwatch Pro Ultra GPS best so fa
Depends what You expect from this watch, as a previous owner of 2020 model i expect more battery life, less laggy watch. Watch came neatly packed in box with instruction and charging cable. I use this watch for few days and what I can say its brilliant, its fast, battery gets me 2 1/2 days easy probably more if I stop playing with watch faces and Spotify (backlight color on, heart monitor on, tap screen to on). I don’t use it much for any sports a part of few bike rides and tracks ok. I need this watch mostly to quickly replay to WhatsApp messages and check Outlook and to control lights and heating at my home. And above all it really looks good on hand so fully recommended.
Finally WatchOS done justice with decent performance and battery life
I’ve had previous Google Android/WatchOS watches in the past, and was always dissapointed by the poor/laggy performance and dissapointing battery life. Having taken the plunge with the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS having read other reviews, I was delighted to see this watch breaking the mold – the apps and OS feels snappy and smooth, and the battery life was much longer than I expected.
I charged it, then used it overnight to track sleep, wore it all day and tracked a walk, and by the evening despite me fiddling with it and trying all the included apps it was still on 58% by the end of the second night – very impressive.
Things I loved:
* The magnetic charger cable
* Auto pause during a walk workout
* Battery life
* Smooth and fast performance
* Feels comfortable and lightweight
Very happy to recommend this watch!!
Great Smart Watch
I’ve had my ticwatch pro 3 ultra for about a week now.
I think it’s absolutely brilliant. Messages to it have been so much easier to read than on my old watch. I tried it out playing stored music for several hours whilst also using its gps. Its battery didn’t need recharging for 30 hours or so.
its energy saving mode let’s It run for days on a single charge. I like the docking station, it has a very strong magnetic lock on the watch, this reassuring the watch is fully engaged when charging. As an Astronomer the ability to select the background colour is a bonus (I wanted red).
In short I’ve been totally delighed with my watch.
Good work guys.
Ticwatch pro 3 Ultra GPS - The Swiss army knife of the smart watch world!
To me the most important aspect of a smart watch is the watch part.
It’s very important to me it looks like a watch and shows the time, all the time.
With the always on face and a suitable watch face you can have all the information you need at a glance.
This does drain the battery more but is a small price to pay for the functionality, I charge mine every day anyway and normally end up with about 50% left.
If you every find yourself low on “juice” the ticwatch has an amazing trick up its sleeve. There’s a second low powered LCD screen that is very battery economical, about 2% per day of used just with this.
The default setting shows this when the screen isn’t in use, you still have access to the steps and heart rate data and the full screen is just a tap away.
What has impressed me the most is the speed of the device in general and specifically when transitioning from the low powered screen to the full function oled one.
The watch itself has tons of functions all baked into the watch that work independently from the phone.
This includes heart rate, blood oxygen levels (SPo2), sleep monitoring, excersize and activity monitoring ( there’s around 20 different activities programmed in) with the built in GPS and offline storage & Bluetooth for music you can even go on a run and leave your phone at home.
Without a doubt the best smart watch I have owned and would not hesitate to recommend it!
eliable and does what it is asked
quick delivery. nice and easy
it comes in a little square fancy box. Inside comes with the user manual and usb charger cable.
design wise is simple, some people may like it ( as I do) some other won’t, so it depends on your taste.
Navigation is intuitive as it is equipped with google wear OS. good visibility on the screen, good responsiveness on the touch and very simple and easy to sync with your google account.
It is light enough and the rubber bracelet seems sturdy enough.
Charges relatively quick, provides so many health and fitness functions that you can also have access on your mobile phone. GPS accuracy is good for this price range.
Overall I am impressed on such a simple watch can be so well equipped with functionality and not costing a fortune.
Viable alternative to more expensive watches
If you have invested time into Wear OS this is one of the best money can buy outside of the Samsung watches which currently are running a version of Wear OS 3.
Google have said the Wear OS 3 update will be rolled out to a few other devices this being one them.
The build quality of the watch is really nice, and coming from an earlier Huawei Wear OS watch I have to say I’ve never seen the OS work so swish and well.
Has some neat extras over my previous watch such as blood oxygen, stress, audio
Lots to like about this watch and to me a valid and significant upgrade over my previous Wear OS powered watch
Great watch
Bought this to replacing an older tic watch. Battery life is great, as long as you are not constantly messing with it, as you would do when you first get it. Responsive and good value for money. The supplied strap is much better than I thought (and I’m fussy about watch straps), forgot that I was wearing it a couple of times.
Good watch but battery life could be much bette
Good watch but battery life let’s it down,
Needs charging every night as it won’t last two days.
Great value for money WearOS watch.
I was looking for a smartwatch and my husband suggested the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra. I wasn’t sure about it as it looked bigger than watches I’d previously worn but I am an android user and compared to other Android watches, this one was a fraction of the price. I decided to go for it and I haven’t been disappointed. There are tonnes of apps and the watch syncs perfectly with my Google Pixel 6.
Some of the features I’ve been enjoying are:-
Batterery life – I’m getting about 3 days out of battery and I’ve got loads of features turned on. It’s also really quick to charge too.
Screen – The screen is vibrant and there are loads of different watch faces to choose from. It’s a really good size and easy to see and navigate your way around.
Dual screens – The dual screens are great. The black and white screen which is also the lock screen is really easy to read and you get all the basic information you need. I work in a school with special needs children so this is great as it doesn’t distract them when I’m trying to teach them. I have the ‘lift to wake’ feature turned off while at work. When I’m at home I turn the screen on and can easily access the screen.
Google Assistant – I LOVE having the Google Assistant on my watch. I use it all the time. It works really well and is so easy to use with a long press of the button.
Different coloured backgrounds – there are loads of lovely colours to choose from.
Pre-installed apps – the Tic apps are great. I love doing the TicZen after yoga. All of the pre-installed apps are really easy to use and really intuitive.
Strap – the strap is super comfy.
Google Wallet – I love being able to pay for things directly from my phone. It makes it super easy to use and convenient. I don’t need to go into my handbag to get my phone or purse.
I’m really pleased with my watch and for what you get it’s a fraction of the price of the alternatives.
Excellent watch - app a bit flaky
Watch does everything well. Sleep tracking, O2 and pulse. The mobvoi app is a bit slow to update and a few tracking sensors need activated manually. I’ve had an Apple watch 6 and a Huawei GT and prefer this. The strap supplied is comfy on the wrist. All in all a good buy – specially as it was a warehouse one.
If you want a robust smartwatch with Wear OS, then the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a decent option.
It’s both durable and comfortable, the tracking software is mostly accurate and Mobvoi has clearly been working on streamlining the software on the watch to feel less cluttered; something that will no doubt improve even more with the addition of Wear OS 3, later this year.
The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra has a 577mAh cell, which Mobvoi claims lasts around 72 hours on average (though this figure will vary, depending on usage).
I found the three-day claim to be pretty accurate, even when using the exercise tracking regularly and having continuous heart rate monitoring switched on. You can use the watch in Essential Mode to save some juice, which can allegedly extend the battery up to a whopping 45 days, however, the watch only supports basic functionality in this state.
Although it’s quite bulky for me, it’s really light (41g) and the 1.4 AMOLED display is amazing. Not only it is bright (even in direct sunlight) but it’s also responsive to touch, even when using it in water. Instead a conventional always-on mode for the AMOLED display, it switches to a secondary always-on FSTN screen, so you can easily glance at the time while draining minimal power.
Overall a great watch.
On the whole I am extremely happy with this watch. Stylish and seems robust. Battery life is very good, I tend to charge it in the morning whilst having a shower. That keeps it powered up till the next day. I’ve only charged it overnight once in 3 weeks when it had dropped to 65%. All other apps seem to be good and accurate with the exception of the sleep monitor. I am a creature of habit, going to bed and getting up at pretty much the same time each day. Retirment after a lifetime of shifts does that to you. The monitor has me going to bed and waking at all sorts of odd hours. Other than that I am very pleased with my purchase
Fantastic replacement for my TicWatch Pro 4G.
I ordered on the Friday to replace my TicWatch Pro 4G and delivery was made the very next day!
Set up and connection to my Vodafone contract took very little time and was made all the easier with the Wear OS app.
Display is a full-colour AMOLED, to save power there is a secondary always-on FSTN screen so you will always know what time it is. The menu is very easy to navigate and there are lots of exercise modes for anyone using the watch for swimming, working out or running. Telephone calls (considering you’re using a smartwatch) are clear.
Whilst it is still a rugged exercise watch, the design is nicer than my older TicWatch and i’m glad I took the plunge.
A Great Overall Smart Watch for Fitness and Wellbeing Tracking
Bought this watch recently and I’ve had a great experience with it so far! The set-up was qucik and easy and it tracks everything you would need it to, with loads of workout modes.
Things I really like about the watch:
* Google Pay support comes in really handy.
* Controls are very intuitive. I was worried it’d take me a while to get used to the buttons and UI but I’m using it without any trouble already.
* The battery life last ages, even when you have all the24hr tracking enabled.
* The Companion App helps you keep track of all your data, and you can easily analyze everything from it!
All in all, I am very happy with the watch. I’ll be updating the review with any more features i find to be very useful/interesting for tracking.
An excellent smart watch for the price featuring Google's Wear OS 3.0
There are a few pros and cons. The pros being design and battery life. Battery will last a good while with moderate use upto a few days before it needs a recharge in real-time use. The cons being you can’t uninstall the proprietary apps which for some is a deal breaker as some apps are doubled up along side Google’s apps and being unable to remove proprietary ones limits the flexibility of the device. A good smart watch overall.
Fitbit can't live up to this
Pros
+ Stunning
+ Excellent interface
+ Decent phone app
+ Ease of use
+ Tracking is amazing (personally, I’ve not had any issues or big variances)
I absolutely love this watch, I used fitbit in the past and I can’t believe I’ve been missing out.
Fitbit feels so rigid and a tech from the past.
This is more innovative, more controls on design and apps.
The software is smooth and not clunky like fitbit.
I absolutely loved it.
Cons
– A tiny bit large
– Malfunctioned the first time I used it in the ocean, in the shallow waters.
Despite my last point, I will still give it a 5* as I feel its an amazing watch.
They may have oversold it on the waterproofing.
I had no issues using the watch at my local swimming pool.
However, when I went to the seaside, only in the shallow waters. The watch began to overheat like crazy.
Had to remove it from my hand. Then it started to vibrate non-stop.
This drained the battery completely. If I tried to charge it, it would start to vibrate again.
A few days later, would not even charge at all.
Contacted the supplier and as its within the 1 year warranty, I’m told I will get a replacement.
Happy with that outcome, dissapointed with the ocean issues.
Top Quality Smartwatch with Excellent Battery Life
This is an excellent smartwatch. Having previously owned a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which was also great but after 2 years died on me, I originally purchased the Fossil Gen 6 to replace the Samsung, this was a poor choice with the battery life being awful and it just stopped working after 2 weeks which thankfully meant it was still able to returned and I swapped to the Ticwatch. I am so glad I was able to change as this as this is much better.
Design:
Looks great, nothing too fancy but you really appreciate the large screen with a small bezel , making text easy to read.
One thing I really appreciate is the weight, some may prefer more weight but as it’s on your wrist all the time I do not want a really heavy watch.
The strap is fine, possibly not the highest quality but I’ve not really had any issues with it.
Functionality:
Like most Wear OS watches, this is easy to use and a straight forward set up. I have mine synced to Google Fit and MyfitnessPal, both work with no issues. I generally don’t use the Mobvoi app, it has lots of watch faces on but I am more than happy with the ones provided. If you do want more you can simply access their app store to download.
The overlay used by Ticwatch over Wear OS is pretty light touch, having the main apps come up in a list with large icons to make it straight forward to select your chosen application.
They have loads of their own pre-loaded workouts and their own versions of apps, some I use but not that often. It’s handy to have the options though.
Battery:
One of the most impressive parts, using the secondary display it allows you to get 3 days battery life. I have all the features turned on and on an average day I complete a walk using GPS and a strength type workout. This covers just over 2 hours of activities and then normal use of checking notifications, weather etc. Considering my previous Samsung lasted almost 2 days and the Fossil lasted less than a day, this is far superior and I would recommend this over any of those.
Charging:
To charge you have to use their specific charging cable which is okay but doesn’t connect that tightly so can easily be knocked off. It would be nice if it had a dock but this is really not a major issue. It doesn’t have a super fast charge but considering the amount of battery you get from it this is fine.
Overall:
I would recommend this smartwatch for anyone using an Android phone, looking to record their workouts, walks ,using it for checking notifications, weather etc and looking for excellent battery life, a simple interface and a lightweight, durable design.
I’ve been using the Samsung galaxy 3 watch for a few years and been waiting for a decent upgrade, I looked at all the wear 3.0 phones available and this seemed to be the best. After using it for a few weeks that’s definitely been the case. The battery is easily 1.5 to 2 days of life.
The only slight negative is the sleep app sometimes gets confused. It thought I had woken up for 30 minutes in the middle of the night so logged it as 2 separate sleeps.
The rest of the apps work as expected.
I changed the strap for a metal adjustable as I prefer the feel.
All in all I think this is a great watch.
Best Wear OS device hands down!
I love this watch! It’s one of my favourite wearable devices and I’ve used plenty (e.g., Amazfit GTR 3 PRO, Huawei GT 3, Fossil Gen 5 and 6, Withings ScanWatch). I believe the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra deserves your attention and consideration. To make this review short and to the point, I’ll divide things to pro and cons.
Pros:
1. Battery lasts 2-3 days (something you won’t find in any Wear OS device made in 2022).
2. The essential screen is brilliant and allows you to view the time and steps immediately without the need of lifting your hand.
3. The screen is scratch and smudge proof which makes life so much easier!
4. The Wear OS app store is impressive and continues to grow
5. The watch is very comfortable to wear! This is very important for everyday use.
Cons:
1. One major issue that I rarely hear anyone talking about is that the watch overestimates burning calories. This isn’t a minor issue, because this might lead you to eat more if you’re trying to lose weight. For instance, on my Google fit app and Huawei watch I’ve burned between 550-630 calories doing over 14k steps. In comparison, the TicWatch estimates it’s 900! I wish but that’s the case. So, please keep this in mind before purchasing.
2. The TicWatch app on the phone is poor, laggy, and needs manual refreshing to reveal the latest numbers and figures. I gave it a shot but decided to delete it because it isn’t there yet compared to other apps (e.g., Zepp OS, Huawei health, Fitbit). Also, as discussed earlier, it will overestimate the burnt calories.
Other than that, I believe it’s a promising watch and Mobvoi continues to produce quality products. Would I recommend it? 100%. As long as you’re willing to live with its flaws, then go for it. I do feel that the pros outweigh the cons and that’s why I kept it and continue to favour it over other wearables in the market.
I hope you found this review helpful! Cheers everyone.
Fantastic upgrade from my Ticwatch E3
Last year I bought the Ticwatch E3 — Mobvoi’s entry level mode, it is a very well priced Android WearOS smartwatch and overall good value. I recently spotted the release of this Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra (and spotted the discount price on amazon) so thought I’d upgrade. I’m really glad I did.
The Pro3 ultra has a thinner profile and sits very tight to your wrist. To the point that it doesn’t look like a smartwatch hiding a chunky battery. However, the best feature in my opinion is the dual-layer display and the slick integration with their ‘essentials mode’ for low-power use and giving a longer battery life. This makes a big difference in the charging cycles for the smartwatch — I’m consistently getting 3 days of use between charges (including light exercise use). The display is always on showing the ‘essentials mode’ low power screen; then if I flick my wrist or touch the screen I get the nice bright and full colour display.
The other benefit of my upgrading from the E3 has been the health monitoring sensors. While these were on the E3, they were not 24/7 (i guess for battery reasons) but the Pro 3 ultra runs them round the clock and the values seem to be reliable. Again like the E3, this watch works with the Mobvoi health monitoring app on my android phone, providing really detailed access to my sleep data (REM, light and deep sleep) and bloody oxygen measurements.
finally the onboard GPS sensor –this works well, no issues with the signal and the tracking looks smooth as you would expect from your smartphone. Hand if you are running and don’t want to carry your phone. This will drain the battery a little quicker, but that is to be expected.
I ordered the bluetooth version which only came with the rubber straps (which are fine) but I really liked the look of the brown leather ones on the 4G/LTE version –so I just ordered a set of brown leather straps (22mm) and swapped them out easy.
Really nice watch, and at the time of writing this review it is still sitting at the discounted price which is very good value for what you get. This device will also get the new update to WearOS 3.0 later this year which should bring some nice new features and functionality.
Best on the marke
Overall thoughts: I’m totally satisfied with the watch. The battery life is somewhere between 2-3 days with 24h pulse-, spo2- and sleep monitoring turned on, the displays look nice, the strap is comfortable, the system speed is good, it does its job excellently. Google pay works too with Revolut, which is really comfortable to use.
Formerly I had the first gen TicWatch Pro, which had the hybrid leather-silicone straps, I preferred that a bit better, but this one is fine too, I like the little notch on the strap loop which fits in the hole on the strap and secures the loop. Compared to the first gen, the speed is increased significantly: entering the menu doesn’t takes 3-5 seconds anymore, there are no lags or glitches at all, I am very pleased with this. I also love that this watch is now indeed water resistant, the first one had a note that I shouldn’t swim in it.
After the first gen TicWatch Pro I had a Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm, which was also beaten by this watch. It had only 0.5-1 day battery life, this has 2-3 days. I prefer the wear os much better than the tizen os, it’s more extendable, customizable and with this hardware it works on similar speed too. Additionally the wear os doesn’t require a Samsung phone to have all features, it works with any android phones. The Samsung also had a full silicone strap, which got torn after a year or two, I hope this won’t. I will miss the rotating bezel and the wireless charging station which also was a stand for the watch, but the magnetic charger cable works also fine and it’s not needed that often.
There is only a few minor inconveniences, like the energy efficient LCD’s backlight cannot be turned off for the night and when it turns on when I sleep, it sometimes disturbs my fiance. I also miss the rotating bezel from the Samsung watch, but the wear os gestures are easy to use, so I got used to it quickly. The wireless charging would be nice in a later model, but considering the charging time and regularity of this watch, the wired charging is totally acceptable. I love this watch and would recommend it anytime.
Why do I like it?
– because in the ‘Smartwatches Family’ this watch comes with the ‘Dual screen display’ feature that makes the battery last longer. And because it works with my non-Samsung phone better than the Samsung Gear watch (Samsung turned off some features when Samsung Gear is not used with a Samsung Phone).
-because this is a watch for both casual and fitness use (many choices available for watch faces). As far I’m concerned, I have bought it because it helps me a lot at work (as a Personal Assistant) because I am asked to keep my phone on silent while with a client and it may feel inappropriate to keep on checking my phone every minute for important (job related) messages or missed calls, so I can monitor my phones notifications on my watch. Also, it comes handy when I need to set a reminder or alarm /timer using the built-in Google assistant or Alexa** (that can be installed from Google Play Store and paid for a one-time small fee to unlock the premium Alexa). I can use voice memo as well (recording on the watch and transferring the file to the phone, after synchronizing, where it can be played).
**Google assistant on TicWatch can set reminders on the connected Google account, but, due to a Google Wear software bug unrelated to Mobvoi/TicWatch, I suppose, reminders are never displayed on the watch (but on the phone and all other smart devices) so Alexa adds a plus of functionality. In all other aspects, Google Assistant on the watch works fine with voice commands (examples of what I use: switching on/off smart devices, translating words, spelling, searching for answers on the internet and others).
With my job, it’s important to monitor the SpO2 levels, because I am still required by my P&P to wear a mask and sometimes I ‘forget’ to breathe deeply, as it happened in the past when my levels dropped under 95%. The SpO2 sensor is really useful.
Other uses:
With a 3rd party app like Stocard I store my fidelity cards or tickets (QR or bar codes) and I can use them fast when needed, for example before paying with GPay (NFC) from my watch. For this use, I noticed that one can pay with the watch even if the phone is not connected to the watch (I forgot it in the car). Need to mention it is said that the watch needs synchronizing with the phone every now and then to add more tokens to be used for future payments (while connected on bluetooth).
Other features that I tested:
– Multiple choice watch faces, found on Mobvoi app or Google Play Store
– Fast processor, responsive.
– Posh look and the interchangeable strap size is 22mm so it can be easily swapped for a leather one if you would like to use the watch as an accessory for your smart clothes and not for fitness. In the actual TicWatch version, the previous posh silicon strap looking like a leather one has been replaced by a sturdy look like fluora rubber. For whoever may want to swap it with a real leather strap (size 22mm), this is possible, like I did.
Thinner watch than TicWatch Pro 3 GPS by 1mm. Lighter than that by 0.2 g
Good 577mAh battery. With moderate use of display, sleep function use, O2, hearth 24/7, in smart mode the battery lasts 48-58 hrs. Some people claimed that it could last up to 72 hours (depending on how many active sensors, display’s brightness, and display’s waking up frequency).
(Retina LTPO OLED display should adapt to what the user is doing in terms of power consumption and variability of the refresh rate which is done dynamically to save battery.)
One could argue that the older version TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is as good as this version at a better price, however there are some improvements like:
– Improved durability compared to the older brother TicWatch Pro 3 GPS as this watch’s case has been upgraded from metal and plastic to metal and high-strength nylon with fiberglass
– both have been certified IP68 Waterproof and Swim Suitable however, the present version has been tested and achieved Military Standard 810G
– Additionally, the Ultra’s LCD’s backlight has been given the option to be changed to a variety of colours to choose from the ‘Essentials’ menu (for saving the battery, though, there is an option to be set to ‘default’ white).
– SpO2, Heart rate and heart rate variability HRV sensors can be set to 24/7, useful for monitoring one’s sleep and if you want more data than TicSleep app provides, 3rd party sleep monitor applications can be used successfully (I use ‘Sleep as Android’ paid version because I got addicted to this app and because it has a smart wake-up/alarm feature).
– As previous versions: good speaker, crystal clear sound when used for calls or with the Smart assistants as described above.
Spotify watch app has been added extra functionality, it can play sound on the watch itself, but sometimes switching to listening on the watch it’s a temperamental thing so I recommend using the watch as a remote control for Spotify playing sound on laptop, phone (with Bluetooth earbuds connected to phone) or Google Smart Display. Hopefully Spotify will improve this feature as TicWatch cannot be blamed for 3rd party applications.
I would like to mention that I don’t have too much spare time for fitness but I noticed the automated fitness tracker TicExercise started in two instances for me: (fast) walking and treadmill (indoor run); so with my limited exercising time I did not use many workout programs, but it is stated to have more than 100+ workout modes of which I noticed some ‘interesting’ ones: Tai-Chi and Yoga that I’m going to use soon .
Overall, I am impressed with this watch and I like the previous versions as well (Ticwatch E3 – budget price – and Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS because they run with the same memory RAM: 1GB / ROM: 8GB and Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 and Mobvoi dual processor system), only this got better.
Great WearOS Watch
I’ve been using the Fitbit Sense for the last 6 months. There are very little apps and it feels quite restrictive. Enter the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra! The chipset is excellent. Really fast and fluid. Scrolling through menus is really fast and there’s no stuttering or lag.
I used to have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 and I was lucky if I was getting 2 days out of the battery. I’m getting 3 days with the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra in full smartwatch mode. Plus if the battery drops down really low it goes into essential mode and you still get the time, date, heart rate and your steps and it last for ages in essential mode. That’s because you have dual screens. The full AMOLED display is excellent. Full of colour and fluid (thanks to the Snapdragon 4100 chipset) and the LCD screen which acts like a kind of lockscreen and looks a bit like an old school watch screen. It uses less battery but still gives you all the info you need at a glance. There’s also the addition of a different coloured background on the LCD screen which is cool. Makes it look more funky. I’ve charged the watch tonight from 15% to 98% which took less than an hour. Not outrageous by any stretch of the imagination.
The watch is really comfortable to wear. The 22mm band is fluoro rubber. It’s weird! It feels really soft but is tough at the same time. The watch looks great. I like the lines that have been cut into the bezel on this model. It has a more classic look which suits me as I work in an office so it looks a bit more professional. It’s a 1.4″ screen so big enough to see most things including pictures sent via messages on WhatsApp etc.
Mobvoi have pre-installed a series of apps which are called TicZen, TicSleep, TicExercise, TicBreathe, TicHealth etc. These are excellent. I’ve actually found myself using these instead of Google Fit and other Google apps, although I love having Google Pay on my phone! It works really well with this chipset and Google Pay is one of the few payment systems to have my bank on it.
There’s also a voicememo app built into the watch which is really cool. Works well and the quality is excellent.
This is one of only a few watched to have the Snapdragon 4100 chipset which will get the Google WearOS 3 upgrade. You look at what you are paying for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and how much this watch is and there’s no comparison.
You can also make and receive calls direct from the watch. You can also use Google assistant via the mic/speaker which is brilliant. I use this all the time. My 9 year old asks questions constantly! You can respond to text messages and view messages and photos sent via messages directly on the watch.
All in all I’m very impressed with this watch and would definitely recommend it. For the money you won’t get a more feature packed watch that’s WearOS 3 proof!
A great upgrade from TicWatch Pro 3 GPS
I own a TicWatch Pro 3 GPS for more than a year and I decided to upgrade to the newer version in anticipation of the new Wear OS 3.0. TicWatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra continues the legacy of TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and is probably one of the best options for Android/Wear OS users.
– Design and Comfort
The watch has a very similar design as its predecessor. However, the outside ring looks thinner in TicWatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra which is a nice change. The strap is a standard 22mm strap made of soft plastic. While I wear it during exercising, I noticed it does not keep any dirt or sweat and remains clean. Overall, the design is very comfortable even when I wear it the whole day, including during the night.
– Hardware
The watch has the same processor as its predecessor, which is not a bad choice at all. Snapdragon 4100 is great for Wear OS. The watch is very responsive, and I did not have any issue navigating through various applications.
One of the great features of TicWatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra is the dual displays. The LCD screen shows basic information, like time, steps, date etc. Through the OLED display you can access all the smartwatch functionalities. This dual display setup is what makes TicWatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra having a great battery performance. I was able to go 3 days with a full charge while tracking various exercises every day. You can set Always On display which will disable the LCD display, but as expected this will impact the battery life.
– Wear OS and Apps
You can load Wear OS apps as normal, including changing watch faces etc. The Mobvoi applications which are coming pre-installed are a great addition. I normally use TicExercise to track my gym sessions and it syncs flawlessly with the mobile App. The TicSleep app offers a great view of you sleep quality.
The watch can track your oxygen level 24/7 or take ad-hoc measurements via the TicOxygen app.
A great addition in TicWatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra is that you can monitor your 24h physical and mental status.
– Verdict
I am very happy with this TicWatch upgrade, and I think that this may be the best option for Android users.
Incremental improvements to an already near-perfect smartwatch.
I bought this watch as a replacement for my lost Ticwatch Pro 3, which I absolutely loved.
I went to buy an exact replacement, since I was more than happy with the Pro 3, but noticed that for a similar price there is now an Ultra option, so I went with that.
The watch arrived on time from Amazon, protected by a one time passcode which was required for delivery. As is usual with Mobvoi, it came in a nice box, along with the charger cable.
This new model retains all the great features of the previous one (duel display for long battery life, modern chipset, promised upgrade to WearOS 3 this year), and adds some new nice-to-haves for 2022.
Firstly, after having used it for a week or so, the already impressive battery life seems even better – i usually have 85-90% left at the end of a day, with moderate usage (reading tons of notifications etc), whereas the older Pro 3 model seemed to end up more like 70-75%.
This might be because apparently there is a new custom Mobvoi secondary processor which handles some of the I/O.
The strap is more comfortable than the previous one too, the old one tended to retain moisture after a shower, but the new one seems to dry more quickly.
One new feature (which seems trivial, but I like it) is that we can now change the backlight colour on the LCD secondary display backlight, although the setting for this is hidden under the essential mode setting, so could be made easier to find.
It also seems to wake up almost instantly from LCD mode to smart screen mode – the previous model had a slight but annoying delay.
I believe the new model is also more highly rated against physical stress, although I cannot really comment on that, since none of my previous Ticwatches have ever suffered any damage.
As per last time, this watch still has a load of Mobvoi apps that duplicate the functionality of Google Fit, but again, I can just ignore them, and they stay out of my way. At least they are all called TicSomething so unlike Samsung’s pointless duplicate apps on their phones, there is no danger of getting them confused with Google’s offerings.
If I had to complain about something, it would be that this model still doesn’t support Qi charging. If this was added, I wouldn’t have to carry the custom charging cable around with me, and I wouldn’t have to worry about losing it.
Overall, I am very happy with this watch – if I lost this one, I would certainly be replacing it with exactly the same model again.
Brilliant Wear OS watch from Mobvoi
The interface is buttery smooth, the design is spot on for my taste and the battery lasts 3+ days with moderate to heavy use.
Dual screen FSTN + AMOLED is what every watch should have. All the essential you need, like date and time are there at a glance on the always on FSTN display (uses a lot less power) and the rest of the “heavy stuff” is handled by the gorgeous AMOLED display. The FSTN also lights up when you tilt the watch so there is no need to “wake up” the AMOLED display if you only need to check the time/date in dark environments. You have the option to change the backlight colour (18 to choose from) for the FSTN display. I keep mine on the default white but change it to green sometimes because I find the black text on green background interesting.
It has over 100 different exercise tracking options but only 3 have auto-detect — walking, running and cycling. I enabled auto-detect for walking and running which, I find quite accurate at knowing when I had started and stopped. Did not have a chance to test swimming tracking but I will soon.
Sleep tracking can detect REM, deep sleep, light sleep and awake. You have the option to enable continuous heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. The Pro 3 Ultra also has AFib alert and Tachycardia / Bradycardia alert.
One important thing I love about Tic apps (pulse, SpO2, sleep, exercise…) is the option to check all the logged data straight on the watch in detail.
The performance has been wonderful thanks to the Snapdragon Wear 4100 and 1GB of RAM. I have not had any hiccups or interface stutter regardless of using 3rd party apps or built-in ones. The specs will also help when the watch will receive Wear OS 3.0 later this year. If not having Wear OS 3.0 yet is a deal-breaker for you, it should not. Some of the apps that were only on Wear OS 3.0 have made it to Wear OS 2.0 anyway .
Build quality is another important aspect to mention. The watch looks and feels like the premium watch that it is. The MIL-STD-810G durability standard plus IP68 rating will help it keep that for a long time.
I am struggling to find a fault with this watch and the only thing I would probably change is a stronger vibration motor but that is only to help if you wear your watch not snug enough.
This is not my first Mobvoi watch, and I am absolutely convinced it is not going to be my last.
I’m a fan of Mobvoi watches and have enthusiastically introduced friends and family to their products. I was naturally excited to acquire this new product which promised to continue in the same vein as their other products: feature packed, fast, robust and affordable.
In short, this watch did not disappoint on those fronts. As their flaghsip watch I had high expectations, my daily watch is the older Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS, and was intrigued to see how this measured up.
My first impression was how vibrant the colours from the AMOLED screen were and how snappy and responsive the watch was. Mobvoi have installed the snapdragon wear 4100 chipset with dual processors and is a real powerhouse when using the watch for exercise and navigation.
The TicExercise software remains excellent with user-friendly interface and synchronisation to the mobvoi app with a good array of analytics to track your workouts. The watch is able to auto-detect when you start and stop exercise and determine the type of exercise too fairly accurately which is an elegant touch although personally a feature I could take or leave.
I particularly enjoy the sleep tracking feature which is fascinating. I regularly have issues with my sleep and being able to analyse different periods of sleep e.g. REM and awake times has been intriguing and insightful. I am unsure yet how this will help me sleep better but its intriguing nonetheless!
Battery is decent with moderate use lasting around 3 days. Mobvoi claim ludicrously long battery life on essential mode but I don’t envisage this being used much in essential mode because you will want to use the watch to its full powerful potential daily!
The watch has an accurate heart rate and Sp02 sensor which is helpful in tracking cardiovascular fitness/goals
I would recommend this watch to someone who wants a sturdy and powerful companion particularly if they like to track their exercise goals as an affordable alternative to more expensive models such as Samsung and Apple.
The same but better than the Pro 3
I decided to upgrade my Ticwatch Pro 3 to the Pro 3 zz `Ultra GPS. One might say that there isn’t much difference between two and why upgrade. Looking into it there is more about the Ultra than you may think.
While they are similar looking the Ultra has small details which in my opinion make it look and feel more premium. The bezel is knurled along with the buttons which add a nice bit of texture. The bezel doesn’t have such big protrusions top and bottom and is more defined as round than the Pro 3 which I prefer.
This design carries over to the strap which is much better than the one on the Pro 3 which lost its surface over time. It also looks more contemporary than the Pro 3 which looks more like a classic strap copy.
The whole thing feels more refined.
One thing that stands out for me is the ability to have different coloured screens in essential mode. It is inevitable that you will use essential mode and having a screen colour to match the watch face you are using just gives a sense of coherence which I like, and it pops more on the wrist.
MIL-STD-810G spec rating is added on The Pro 3 Ultra which means to me that it is more durable than the Pro 3 and that can only be a good thing. Along with a Gorilla glass screen no worries about knocks and bangs!
The Pro 3 Ultra comes with “24 physical and mental status monitoring” under TicHealth which I have yet to have a play with but in this day and age of mental health wellbeing, anything that can give insights is a plus.
TicPulse has been updated to monitor heart health. Have not had any alerts since wearing it but the watch is looking out for you, and I like that!
Battery life is 72 hours as stated in smart mode. I normally charge overnight so this is roughly 2 a week. More than good enough and if I can’t charge there is always essential mode.
Other than what I have mentioned it comes with the usual suite of apps you will find on a Wear OS device plus the excellent “Tic” apps which I prefer to use over the Google Fit apps. They seem easier to use and better tuned to the watch in my opinion.
Ticwatch seem to have struck a nice balance between price, features and fit & finish. All in all, I think it is a worthy upgrade even if on the face if it the changes are minimal.
Excellent Smartwatch
The Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS is a great looking android wear smartwatch with the best battery in its class. The watch looks great, is well built and feels good on the wrist and is very comfortable. The battery on this watch gives me nearly 3 days before it needed charging, so no daily trip to the charger needed.
The screen is excellent and has a nice bezel. It also has a second LCD screen so instead of your watch going to a black screen to save power, like other smartwatches, this watch activates the LCD screen which stays on and provides time, steps, battery life, and heartrate. It also has a backlight function to help when it’s darker. According to the manufacturer it can last up to 45 days when using this mode.
The watch runs Android Wear OS 2 and is compatible with all the apps including whatsapp, google pay, and google fit. Whilst using this over the past week there has been zero lag with menus and apps quick and fluid to use.
You can make and receive calls through the watch if paired with your phone due to it’s built-in microphone and speaker. I found the calls easy to hear and had no problems with the other person hearing me.
Overall one of the best Wear OS watches and with regard to battery life it has no competition.
So this is the first review I have put time and effort into, as I think this is something that everyone is who looking into this watch needs to know! What a watch! Everything just works, exactly how it should with no issues!
I bought this Ticwatch as an upgrade from my last Ticwatch – Wanted to stay within the Mobvoi product range due to my experience with previous watches. And I am so glad I didn’t move to another brand.
So, from the beginning. The Ticwatch arrived, nicely packaged and secure. Inside the box I received the TicWatch, USB charger and manual along with a quick start guide. The watch turned up with 89% battery, more than enough to get started!
Powered the watch on and was greeted with the Google WearOS setup page, followed the simple instructions and continued the rest of the setup on my phone. Added my Google Account, Mobvoi App (optional, but increases the usability of the fitness tracking) and for me, the most important part, my Google Pay account.
Went through the settings on the watch and customised to my liking. I ensured that the lift to wake and always on settings were disabled for optimal “smart watch” battery life – And this works perfectly. I have managed to get almost 3 and a half working days out of the watch before it automatically went into “essential mode”. Speaking of essential mode it works flawlessly ensuring the basic functions of a watch are available when the battery is low. The marketing material says that this iteration of Ticwatch will last 45 days in Essential Mode and while I haven’t tried this I do not doubt this at all.
The performance this Ticwatch is something I have never experienced before. No lagging, no slowness no freezing. It’s responsive at a moments notice and that has been greatly improved since my first Ticwatch. Scrolling through the app drawer and the options is just simply pleasant and responsive. The GPS is spot on and worked without issues during a walk out with the family. No drifting experienced.
The fitness tracking is something that I only started becoming interested in over the last few months and I am so glad Mobvoi have spent time developing their own feature set as I am not only able to monitor and track my heart rate 24/7, but also track my own mental fatigue and energy levels. Something which really stands out in my face paced job. There is a way to link the proproaty apps with Google’s version of Apps too, but I do prefer TicHealth and TicPulse. Google Pay and offline Spotify have been perfect too. The ability to be able to leave home to pop to the shops with nothing other than my watch is amazing. First transaction failed but the TicWatch asked me to confirm my watch= PIN (security feature, makes sense) but then has worked seamlessly since and being an avid music fan having Spotify available on my wrist without any effort has been epic. Simple things like answering calls on my Ticwatch have been
The only one downfall, literally, the only ONE is that I would have like to have purchased the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra 4G version however it’s tied to Vodafone OneNumber and my preferred network is EE. If there were more options available on that side I would have upgraded to the 4G version without doubt.
Overall, the best Smartwatch I have ever purchased. I do wonder how Mobvoi will bring a new model out as this watch genuinely ticks all the boxes I have ever needed.
Excellent battery life and very responsive
[Review Caveat: I have not rated sleep tracking as I do not sleep with the watch on.]

I have been a fan of wearable computing since my first smartwatch purchase 8 years ago. Surfacing information and interaction from a mobile phone without needing to draw it is incredibly useful in a busy life. My previous watch was the Ticwatch Pro and the new refresh of the Ticwatch 3 Pro exceeded my expectations in every way.
The standout feature of the Ticwatch line is the secondary screen. The primary 1.4″ 455×455 AMOLED turns off and a more energy efficient LCD display comes online to show time, date and step count and battery level while reducing power consumption. This is what allows it to boast its impressive 45 day battery life. When you aren’t actively using it, or just want to quickly check the time, the watch is draining minimal charge on its low power screen. The Ticwatch 3’s Snapdragon processor has a great deal of processing power so the watch is incredibly responsive. It spins up to the full power screen at a touch and all of the menus are snappy and fluid to navigate (as demonstrated in videos featured in other reviews on this page). The Ultra model does not support its own 4G connection and requires a blutooth link to a smartphone for handling telephony, though it can connect to WiFi networks.
Contrasting the watch against its predecessor reveals a great number of improvements, the reduced bevel size makes the watch feel less bulky when worn under a shirt cuff. The secondary screen has been greatly enhanced allowing the date to be presented in US or UK format. My personal favourite feature is the full colour backlight allowing the low power screen to be clearly visible even in broad daylight, something which the original Ticwatch struggled with.
The Android Wear feature set is broad and covers a wide range of vital interactions, voice assistant, calendar, timing, etc. These core functions are enhanced by Mobvoi’s suite of TicHealth applications which make great use of the biometric sensors built into the watch. Heartrate, blood oxygen, physical movement and barometer are all sampled to allow the watch to review and offer critique of your workout on the wrist. These sensors are all gated by privacy settings and can be turned off at will if one does not wish to be monitored at all times.
At present the watch runs Wear2.0 while 3.0 is exclusively distributed to another manufacturer, but in time the upgrade will be issued for the Ticwatch and I am confident that the powerhouse Snapdragon will be able to handle the increased functionality.
I have been using the watch since its delivery and the power claim is holding true, it will need its first full recharge tonight having provided 3 days of me using it excessively while experimenting with all its features. I am confident that it will manage a full workweek once I calm down and stop fidgeting with it every few seconds.
In conclusion, the Ticwatch 3 is a powerful and featureful portable terminal with fantastic uptime and a well supported software ecosystem. I do not have the luxury of comparing it against competitors but I have no regrets with my purchase at all and have reaffirmed my conviction that Mobvoi are my first brand to check when looking for my next watch.
Functions brilliantly
Snappy, smooth functioning smartwatch with great battery life. Extremely happy with my purchase.
I have had a Huawei watch 2 since it’s release and always liked the watch but the laggy functionality and limited battery life limited the enjoyment.
This watch resolves both of those issues and the bigger screen is also much easier to use with less precision required on some of the more cluttered apps. There is a calculator app that I thought would be unusable on a watch but it is easy to use accurately (basic functions only). The watch is also more comfortable to wear despite being bigger and heavier. The strap is reasonably soft and if you are worried about the monitors protruding from the back (I was concerned coming from a smooth back), it is not noticeable and I find the strap can be less tight to get a good reading so actually improves comfort.
Use case. I am an active sports person so I do use HR and GPS tracking regularly. I already own a dedicated sports watch and I had considered replacing that rather than buying the Ticwatch. However, I also use wear OS shopping apps and other day to day apps just as frequently that the sport watches don’t cater for as well. I decided the Ticwatch was the best of both worlds. It has not disappointed.
A 3 hour mountain bike ride with HR and GPS on and even after a full days usage, I went to bed with 70% battery remaining. I could easily do a full day ride with this battery.
The second screen (essentials mode) works great and shows the necessary data when active. HR, time elapsed, pace and a scrolling height and calories measure. My activities are set to auto sync to Strava. I have turned off auto detect activities though as it is very generous on what it considers a run.
Note that the second screen does impact the functionality of some apps that display over other apps. E.g. I use a shopping list app that sits on the top screen on my Huawei so you don’t need to keep reopening it each time you check your list. The essential screen does take precedence on this watch although a simple tap wakes it up to show the app again.
HR accuracy seems good enough. I haven’t done extensive comparison tests to a chest strap but I have been training with HR for years and the readings are where I would expect them to be for given effort across easy, tempo and hard efforts. Background tracking is giving higher readings than expected but I have not had the strap tight enough. Not an issue for me as I only have continuous tracking turned on for novelty but if I were interested, I would need the strap snug at all times.
I like wear OS but was reticent to re-invest until Samsung and Google teamed up to breathe new life into the platform. This watch is still on wear OS 2 and the update to 3 seems to be getting delayed but this watch is due to get the update. I am perfectly happy with OS 2 but it was important to get a watch that will update to 3 as app support for Wear OS 2 is dying. To be honest, the wear platform is my biggest concern with this purchase. It works well but Google have blown hot and cold with investment and support.
I use the watch with an iPhone. Everything works apart from the inability to send texts or take calls on the watch as apple lock that out.
I paid 245 with a voucher code and consider this a great buy.
Great Little Watch
Great little watch. Does what it says.
Reason why i have given this 4 stars is that the app is not great. Very clunky. I have come from the Fitbit Eco System so maybe i am expecting too much but will give it time.
I am also confused about the essential mode. I use it alot as im no good at making sure the battery is topped up. However, when i am in Essential Mode and i charge the battery up it seems to reboot and goes back to normal mode. This is even when i put the watch in to essential mode myself rather than have it switch when the battery level drops.
Still waiting for Wear OS 3 which was why i got this over the other 2 Wear OS 3 watches on the market. The Wear OS 3 update was supposed to happen in the early part of the year so i would have expected it by now.
All in all a great watch,, collects alot of data and then the software doesnt know what to do with it.
Excellent wear os smartwatch best out there 👌
I had the ticwatch Pro 3 upgraded to the new model.. what another fantastic watch by mobvoi battery is super especially for a wear os last up to 3 4 days depending on usage.. other models only last up to 24 hours max… had all the fitness/health apps you could ask for very accurate and recordings giving on watch and there apps for greater detail… you can also go swimming and record which is great… the dual screen comes in handy which saves on battery consumption.. highly recommended
Chunky bloke toy
Bought for my partner who spent an age researching what he wanted. He’s always that way. So rest assured this is the bees knees.
He’s so pleased with it. I on the other hand couldn’t give a monkeys. It’s not attractive and it’s chunky.
Smart Watch packed with Features and Battery Life
I have been using Ticwatches now since 2018. What got me using Ticwatches is their incredible battery life which keeps getting better.
I started off with the Ticwatch Pro then the Ticwatch Pro 4G/LTE, Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS, Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS ( you can see a picture of the last 3).
So why do I keep using them, I will go by my experience and I am not going to get into tech details as you can get that information from the product description.
Pros:
Battery life: Gives me up 3 – 3.5 days . I actually got 4 days when I scheduled the Auto switch to essential mode between 9 pm and 6 am. That did mean that I couldn’t track my sleep.
Look and feel: this model feels a lot more premium than the earlier models, it’s definitely thinner and feels lighter and more comfortable on my wrist. It’s very smooth scrolling through the apps compared to the much earlier Ticwatch Pro. The AMOLED screen is very bright, and setting it to auto-adjust also saves on battery. I like how the strap fits around my wrist, it also doesn’t flap about
Durability: The Screen is tougher than the previous model ( managed to scratch that one in the first month I got it) This one has already taken a few knocks and has not been scratched yet.
It is also waterproof, unlike the previous model.
Cons,
I would’ve preferred the watch casing to be metal, but it still looks great though.
Would’ve liked a rotating bezel or at least give the buttons scrolling functionality when they are turned.
On the whole, it’s a great watch and I will probably keep buying the new versions as they continuously improve
Probably the best smartwatch
Inuave tried many smart watches over the years and this is without doubt the best, just waiting for OS3 to arrive to update i
Best wear OS watch
I have a fossil Carlyle wear OS watch but got the Ticwatch 3 as I wanted good battery life and this watch is amazing in comparison.
I can easily go three days without charging it even with 24 heart monitoring, Bluetooth nfc and WiFi on, it makes using a wear os watch fun again as you can use all the features without worrying that your watch will need a recharge daily.
Sometimes the heart rate says a low rate like 52 when walking but very rarely and it could be that the watch moved slightly during while it was taking the reading.
NFC for Google pay is okay, seems to be weaker than on my other smart watch but it does always work although some shops contactless readers sometimes require two tries to succeed.
The power saving watch screen is actually so handy I don’t use the watch face in always on mood. The light on the second screen makes it easy to read and the main screen is clear and easy to read as well, the only niggle is that the spO2 reader is very temperamental, takes a lot of tries. And yet if you have 24 hour health monitoring on instead of heart monitoring then the blood oxygen reader seems to work much better so maybe there’s a bug in the software or they affect each other.
The mobvoi app let’s you share your data with google fit so it can see your heart rate records, the mobvoi android app shows the same data but not as effectively as using google fit where you can see the heart rate records as a series of points on a scale and also choose to see the results sorted by time and so see exactly what time a recorded heart rate was actually recorded at.
Overall a very good watch, and the best wear os watch I have seen or at least that I have used.
Quick with great battery life
This is the 3rd wear is watch I’ve tried. The Samsung GW4 wasn’t fully compatible with my pixel 6 phone & the battery life wasn’t great, so sent it back. A friend has the fossil Gen 6 & he despairs at the awful battery life. So I tried this. 3 days is no problem & the pairing was easy. Everything is compatible with my pixel & the software works perfectly. I’ve heard people complain about wear OS 2, but it works very well & does everything you want it to. I have no complaints. It’s a great watch!

Comfortable and very smooth experience
Note:
I’m making this review in 2 perspectives: the watch itself and my experience with it and, at the bottom, a vs with Ticwatch Pro (1st gen).
In the images, the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra is the one with the leather strap and the smaller charger cable.
The other watch, and respective cable, is the 1st gen and is here for reference and comparison.
—–
The Ticwatch 3 Pro Ultra is really comfortable to use, being very lightweight, with a very smooth experience with the screen and software and being seemingly sturdy enough for day-to-day, making it a pleasure to use with all the functionalities it brings.
The strap it brings seems to be silicone based with a “cover” of leather on top, as visible in the photos.
The battery lasts a few days, in my experience around 3-4, before I feel the urge to recharge it.
For consideration, the main features I use are the heart monitor being turned on and occasional usage of the NFC for payments.
Pros:
* Very lightweight.
* Very smooth usage / experience.
* Heart monitor seems to be working well, even against other heart rate devices.
** I still wouldn’t use as a de-facto monitor but just as a guide.
* The sleep tracking seemed fairly accurate, at the very least in the amount of hours of sleep detected.
* Battery lasts a few days at the very least.
Cons:
* Body of the watch is plastic (or seems to be at least).
—–
Now, when put against the Ticwatch Pro (1st gen) there are a few notes I’d like to make.
Regarding the screens, albeit being of very proximate dimensions or even the same size, the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra provides a better and overall smoother experience to interact with, but I can’t explain exactly why, it just feels nicer to me for some reason.
Software wise, it also seems to be faster and smoother, most likely due to the newer processor.
Also worth mentioning, this newer model brings **backlight** to the stand-by and essential mode, with the colour being customisable, something that I found to be a big caveat in the first model.
Battery wise both behave pretty well though I believe the 3 Ultra is behaving better on that sense.
On the cons side, the Ticwatch Pro (1st gen) has a seemingly sturdier and heavier body, something that might to be to the liking of some users.
Pros (vs 1st gen):
* Smoother experience (touchscreen and software).
* Backlight on stand-by and essential mode.
* The charger cable uses less space.
Cons (vs 1st gen):
* Body of the 3 Ultra is made of plastic and more lightweight (this might be a pro depending on the user).
Better than anything Apple have done.
Out of the blue I saw something in a pop up about this watch and liked the look of it. Having used it for over a month now I’m happy I switched from being solely an Apple Watch user.
It has a bit about it. I’m loving it.

Love this watch battery life is superb only need to charge every 3 to 4 days
Excellent all-round smart watch
Really happy with my purchase of this watch.
The battery life is excellent. Lasts me 2 full days without charge, with moderate use and heart rate monitoring turned on.
I haven’t experienced any stuttering or jittering when moving between screens on the watch or opening apps. The fancy processor must be doing its job because it’s by far the smoothest experience I’ve had of any smartwatch.
The screen is very high quality. Everything looks sharp
The design of the watch body itself is very nice. Looks like a professional watch with a nice leather strap. It’s very comfortable and you’ll easily forget that it’s on after a while because it doesn’t feel too heavy.
Sleep tracking seems pretty good although I’ve only used this feature a handful of times.
If anyone reading this has lots of smart lights or smart devices in their house, just being able to hold down one of the buttons on the watch to activate Google Assitant makes life very easy.
Would recommend this watch to anyone 10/10

Very pleased with this watch
Very pleased with this watch.
The battery easily last for two days with screen selected to always on, this included my regularly gym work outs.
When ‘always on’ is deselected it lasts for several days.
When the screen is off it uses the low power screen, which looks like a smart digital watch.
The watch uses android Wear, which is very intuitive, I have bought this to replace my Samsung galaxy watch, I find it easier to use.
Good selection of watch faces are included, more can be download.
The watch face looks as good as any other I have seen, it makes my old Samsung look dated.
The Black bezel is very smart.
It came with a brown leather strap, which looks good with a shirt, I have bought a black rubber strap, which gives it a sports watch look, which I prefer for day to day wear.
The screen is very reactive, to touch and swipe commands.
Overall I am really eased with this watch, it feels and looks smart.
I have no problem in recommending this watch.

Elegant, Feature Packed with Excellent Battery Life
Positives I’ve found:
+ The leather style strap looks stylish and feels premium. I think it will last a long time and be a good investment.
+ Adequate adjustment on the strap.
+ Light enough on the wrist but enough to feel well made.
+ Metal body is really nice.
+ It has passed durability and waterproof standards.
+ Would look stylish wearing for any occasion.
+ Twisting buttons feel good and are tactile.
+ Google Wear OS makes setup very easy.
+ Works with Android or iOS phones.
+ Encountered no software bugs or issues.
+ More watch face display customisation than Apple Watch.
+ Low power AMOLED always on display works very well at conserving battery.
+ I could wear in bed for sleep tracking without worrying about battery life for days.
+ Battery life is excellent. It will differ for everyone but for most it will last many days. Wow!
+ Embedded microphone for recording.
+ Quick launch programmed app by pressing the lower button.
+ I’ve had no connection issues to Wi-Fi or 4G.
+ Notifications are reliable and very fast.
+ Snapdragon processor is one of the latest and greatest. I’ve had no issues with speed.
+ GPS was as accurate as my iPhone.
+ Access to all the brilliant Google apps designed for Wear OS.
+ Ticwatch’s own apps are good on the whole, you may prefer some of these over Google ones and for others, you may prefer Google.
Areas for improvement:
– Strap may not be ideal enough for heavy sport activity, but you may be able to use a different strap.
– If you’re looking for a small watch this probably isn’t for you.
– Rotating the watch crown doesn’t do anything, perhaps a missed opportunity here.
– You will have to wait a bit longer for Wear OS 3 update.
The wise buy quality no matter the cost.....It just makes sense when its cheaper.
I don’t review on Amazon very often. I buy loads of stuff from Amazon and haven’t got the time to review the hundred or so things I purchase a year… but now and again I make an exception.
The last review I made was for the Ticwatch Pro in November 2019 and here we are 2 years and 2 months later and I’ve upgraded to the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra 4G/LTE.
As I was so impressed with my original Ticwatch I opted for the upgrade against the “supposed” better (& more expensive) options from more well known brands.
I have been wearing this new watch for a week now and it is just amazing. Its so comfortable that you don’t even realise your wearing it. In comparison, the 2019 Pro was a bit chunky to wear.
The battery lasts for 2-3 days constant use compared to 1-2 days with the Pro.
The new screens and apps are alot more varied and very useful.
I also love the fact that I can use the watch independent from my phone. I’m a Vodafone customer and the watch allows you to piggyback onto your mobile contract. It makes you feel a bit like James Bond, using your watch to make and receive calls.
Overall, this watch is everything you could want in a watch and then you have the additional features which make this watch special.
If you want to spend more money on the “named brand” watch then more fool you.

Excellent Smartwatch with great battery life
The Ticwatch Pro 3 is a great looking android wear smartwatch. I’ve included some pictures of when I first set it up, which was very straightforward.
The watch is very well built with a lovely leather band. It feels good on the wrist and is very comfortable. It has a number of standout features but the two that really appeal to me are:
Battery Life — begone battery anxiety! The battery on this watch has given me nearly 3 days before it needed charging. It also gives up to 45 days when using essential mode, which I haven’t tried as I’m too busy playing with it. This is a marked change on my previous smartwatch that barely gets over a day and that’s with turning off its monitoring features (which I had bought it for — Catch 22 or what?).
With the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra I don’t have these daily battery worries any more.
Screen — The AMOLED screen is excellent but this watch has a trick in that it also has a second LCD screen. Instead of your watch going to a black screen to save power, like other smartwatches, this watch activates the LCD screen which stays on and provides time, steps, battery life, and heartrate. It also has a backlight function to help when it’s darker.
It also has all the benefits of Wear OS and is compatible with all the apps including whatsapp, google pay, and google fit. Plus it has google assistant which is a brilliant function with the builtin microphone and speaker.
Also it’s soon getting the new Wear OS 3 update which will only improve it further.
Performance wise I found that it had zero lag and menus and apps were quick and fluid to use.
Overall one of the best Wear OS watches. With regard to battery life it has no competition.

Best Wear OS Smartwatch on the marke
I’ve previously owned a few smartwatches/fitness trackers and my last watch (the 1st edition Ticwatch Pro 3) was the best watch I had owned by far. Until now.
Mobvoi have just taken that watch and made it better, quite simple. The battery life is extended to the point where I forget I need to charge it up! Annoyingly due to my mobile contract I haven’t been able to use the 4G aspect of it but everything else connects fine and the watch is super fast.
The ability to change the blacklight colour on the always on display is a great touch. The white on the previous watch was nice enough but the new colours really make the watch glow in the dark when it’s needed and they look great.
The additional health/fitness aspects of the watch seem to work really well. I use a Garmin Fenix 6 for my activities but it’s good to see my steps/HR/stress etc on the ticwatch when I’m not exercising.
Overall its definitely the best watch on the market if you aren’t an apple user… and maybe even better than those.
Lighter, Quicker and Lasts longe
This is the 3rd TicWatch I have owned, and with each new edition they improve.
The packing felt premium, much like the product and taking it out of the box the watch was surprisingly light. Initially I thought the battery had to be put on separately due to the weight.
I’ve , enclosed some photos. The watch with the brown strap is this new edition and the black strap is the older edition. They are similar in size, but the new watch is noticeably thinner. Despite this the performance is enhanced and there is nothing lost from the watch.
I’ve used the watch at the Gym, and the tracking is good, I liked the breakdown of the warm up, fat burning times it gives you. This will be helpful in tracking your workouts.
Battery life – One of the biggest frustrations of the first tic watch for me was the need to put on charge every night. I used this all weekend and still had 65% battery at the end of two days with me being away and using the maps function. This is vast improvement on the first version of the pro I had.
The strap this comes with does look a little more formal, I will wear this for work. I’m not sure how well the brown goes with the Black but overall I’m pleased with how it looks. The strap is a little Rigid, however I feel like the previous watch this will soften. In any event the straps can be changed so if this is not to personal taste then this can change.
The watch charger – this is a small point, but a fairly important one. When I upgraded from my 1st TicWatch to my 2nd. The change in charger was frustrating because i’d purchased chargers for different rooms (i.e. work and home) so when I had the new watch it meant I had to get additional chargers. As I intend to keep my current watch and have 2 watches, I was very grateful to see the same charger design maintained. Lots of cables around can be frustrating so I’m glad they’ve maintained consistency.
Android Pay – works flawlessly
Whataspp / SMS – Come through and easy to view from wrist
Blood Oxygen – This is an interesting add on- checking mine as ‘normal’ is always good to see.
Heart rate monitor – useful for not only workouts but more generally to track health.
Sleep monitor – I havent used this so cannot comment. I cant sleep with a watch on, so this is not a function i’d use.
Vodaphone One number: I’m sure this is outside the control of TicWatch – but this seemed like it would be a great add on with the virtual sim. I was expecting vodaphone’s one number to operate like my Amazon Echo. however there is a fee of 7.50 a month added on. ‘For the few times I’ll be without my mobile i decided not to add this. It would be good if an agreement to have this lower priced or free like the Amzon echo could be achieved.
Overall, an excellent smart watch which i’m very impressed with and is 100% an improvement on previous versions.

First Impressions:
Upon opening the box you’re greeted with a big screen with a very slim bezel and attractive metal surround. The Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a surprisingly slim smartwatch given its overall large size and despite this is still very light to wear, though still might be a bit difficult to wear with a formal shirt.
Design:
At almost 48mm in diameter, wow is this a big watch, however, the overall slim body does make the Pro 3 wearable even for people with medium to small wrists, though it might look a bit funny, to begin with. The Pro 3 has a great look thanks to the textured bezel and pushers that really add a subtle flair to the overall design and when you take it out from the box and hold it for the first time you will be very impressed with the build quality. The whole package just feels great in hand, especially the silicone band which is soft to touch, contours around my hand and doesn’t gather dust like other watch bands.
Display:
The product images on amazon showcase the large screen really are presentative of the real product. Wow, the 1.4″ screen looks big, but at the same time, it blends really well inside of the textured stainless bezel. In my opinion, this might be the sweet spot size for an Android Wear OS device. Navigating through the interface and reading notifications on this screen just looks so good and the Gorilla glass that protects the is smooth to touch and so far from my usage, it has been scratch-free.
Compare to the TicWatch E3, the Pro 3 Ultra GPS screen does not feel cramped in any way and given that it’s an AMOLED screen, your eyes get to enjoy nice punchy colours and deep blacks and if Mobvoi were able to match the screen panel colour to the thin bezel between the screen and metal surround it would have been the most seamless screen design yet, easily rivalling the Apple Watch screen design.
The Pro 3 Ultra GPS isn’t just using an AMOLED, it also has a neat low energy secondary display that is reminiscent of a basic digital watch, like a classic Casio for example. When the main display turns off, you’re always left with a screen to see what illuminates when you tilt the watchmaking legibility clear even in dark environments. Even though the secondary display might be more basic in comparison to the AMOLED, it still provides all the vital information you need which consists of the time, simplified date, step count and battery life. I do wish more Android smartwatches had this feature.
Battery Life:
Mobvoi claims that the Pro 3 Ultra GPS can get 72 hours of battery life on a single charge and from my experience, their claims have been true in my use and sometimes even better, with my best runtime almost being roughly 96 hours. In addition to this great battery life when the watch is being used in its full-featured mode, even if you end up in a situation where the battery is so low, the basic mode will kick in and you will at least still have a usable watch for basic timekeeping. Unlike most smartwatches which will turn off and you’re left with a dead weight on your wrist.
Once you’re home and you’re ready to get the watch charging, you’ll be up and running for a full day of use in as little as 30 minutes, great if you’re coming home to freshen up for an evening gym session or social outing.
Just like the TicWatch E3 and most of Mobvoi’s other smartwatches, the Pro 3 Ultra GPS also uses a 4-prong magnetic connector which is fairly strong and accurate to connect to, and despite the watch having fast charging I’ve never seen it heat up.
Performance:
The Pro 3 Ultra GPS uses the same internal specifications as the lower cost TicWatch E3 and as such I’ve had a smooth experience when navigating the UI, transitioning between apps, making NFC payments and using the endless fitness modes the watch has to offer. Using Google maps on the Pro 3 Ultra GPS has been a great experience and a real-life saver when navigating public transport and commuting through London.
I’ve had many updates pushed to the watch during my 1 month of extensive use and have not experienced any issues in performance or battery life. Downloading apps from the play store are also very fast whether it be through the phone or directly using Wi-Fi.
Tracking:
The Pro 3 Ultra GPS has a lot of different sensors and I’ve not even touched the surface on everything this device has to offer however my experiences with the auto sleep detect have been great and the results have been comparable to what I’ve seen from my other sleep tracking devices. The auto exercise detection is a nice feature and I would say 60% of the time it’s been able to tell I’m actually exercising. During my times at the office when I’m moving between floors, it has misread my random bursts of speed walking as me starting an exercise, but it does realise and stops the exercise mode.
App:
The Mobvoi companion app has a great UI and is very easy to navigate and visualise all the data that the Pro 3 Ultra GPS is able to collect. I’ve not had any issues with the watch sending the data to the app.
The physical and mental status monitoring is a great touch and very insightful, and given the current state of the world, keeping on top of your mental fitness is something you shouldn’t ignore.
Final Thoughts:
The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a long title for a smartwatch that’s for sure and when compared to the TicWatch E3 It has a long spec list to match the name. The intuitive dual display the big and bright AMOLED screen, built-in GPS and even the option for eSIM LTE. I would say this is one of the best smartwatch offerings in the Android space that gives the Apple Watch a run for its money.
The Pro 3 Ultra GPS might be larger than the E3, but don’t let that put you off because it’s much slimmer and wears much better, not to mention feels a lot better on the wrist thanks to that thicker soft silicone strap and better materials on the case.
If you haven’t used a WearOS smartwatch for a while and are still on the edge about them from your previous experiences I feel like the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, could be one that gets you liking them again and with the promised upgrade to the next major release of WearOS at least you know your smartwatch investment won’t be considered out of date within the next 6 months of ownership.
One of the most versatile Android WearOS devices around.

Excellent new Mobvoi watch which has the Health Tracking Features that I need
So, I’ve had the excellent Mobvoi watches before and wanted to see how good the latest is:
I won’t bore you with the unboxing apart from the fact that its well packaged and comes with a useful quick start guide, though I only ever look at these if I’m stuck, part of the fun for me is seeing if I can get it up and running without using the instructions. One observation though, it’s got a brown strap which at first sight I thought Hmmm but the quality of the strap appears to be really good with a nice black rubber finish on the inside.
Rather than waiting for it to charge I turned it on, long press of the top button on the right. Set up was pretty straight forward, as was linking it to my google account, and the stock watch face, as per the one on the box, is pretty good, I love faces with the seconds hand, just feels more like the real thing. The secondary, on all the time display, is great and does the job for checking the time without wasting battery. The watch is really slick and responsive and flicks through the different screens really smoothly. The Google tutorial gives you all the basics really easily.
One of my main reasons for buying the watch was for the health and in particular the heart rate monitoring. I hit 60 last year and have had a couple of issues with an irregular heartrate so having the watch continually monitor my rate throughout the day and dight is a great feature for me. And the watch doesn’t disappoint and gives great readings on both the watch and phone display. The TicPulse does a pretty good job of this and I’ve linked it to my Google Fit app which all works seamlessly.
So far, I’m really pleased with my purchase and looking forward to adding apps and having a play which the Google Wear OS allows you to do. Also looking forward to the new version of Google OS which is supposed to be coming to this watch in a couple of months or so.
I’m also going to try out the stand along phone call option with an eSIM. As I understand it this is only through Vodafone so I’m looking into the switching from my Current GiffGaff pay monthly sim only to a Vodafone pay monthly sim only with dual number option which, as I understand it, means only the one number on both my phone and watch. I’ll update this review with how I get on setting it up.

Best Android Wear Watch of 2022?
Having owned the original Ticwatch Pro for 2 years I have now upgraded to the latest Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra 4G/LTE. I have used the previous watch daily and was amazed by how well it worked. The latest model brings through all the previous great aspects of the watch and improves on other features.
The Ticwatch Pro 3 really excels above its competitors with regard to battery life, much like phones it has become the norm to expect to charge the device daily, but these watches will last several days on one charge with normal usage. In the essential mode the watch will last weeks on one charge.
I use the GPS in standalone mode when go out for a run, so I can leave my bulking phone at home or work and go out for a quick run. The built in sensors track pace, cadence, heart rate. This is an ideal watch to use to track your running.
One thing that has improved significantly from the previous version is how well the watch feels on my wrist. The combination of it being slightly lighter, thinner, and some bevelled edges makes it the most comfortable smartwatch I’ve ever tried on.
The watch strap feels very comfortable, it has a classy leather top combined with a comfortable silicone base to make it really usable as an everyday watch that looks good smart in the office but practical for exercise too. The strap is a quick change 22mm strap, so you can quickly change the look of the watch to match your style.
Another thing that has improved significantly is the fluidity of the menus, my previous watch did suffer from being a bit laggy when scrolling through menus and starting apps, but this watch is way better much quicker response to touch and opening apps.
Overall I’m very happy with the watch, I think it’s a great choice for people considering a flagship Android wear watch that has great battery life, premium look and feel. As a previous Ticwatch owner I can testify that the reliability and build quality is excellent.

Love this watch
Had many smart watches over the years and this one is one of the best I’ve had . Love wear os and love it more on this watch. Battery life is brilliant and can last me at least 2 busy days no worries.

Orologio bellissimo e fatto molto bene. Fatica a rilevare l ossigenazione sangue.
Great watch with excellent functionality
After a few weeks with this watch I am very happy indeed. The functionality from fitness apps, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring and sleep monitoring perform well with a good user interface.
The 4100 processor makes the interaction seamless and the dual LCD display that provides information on steps and a summary of ongoing fitness activity when running the Mobvoi apps is a very useful innovation. For those familiar with Wear OS from previous generations this watch offers a performance upgrade and clearly some future proofing with OS Wear 3 due to be rolled out in 2022.

In my opinion the best Wear OS smartwatch with a modified 4100 chipse
There’s me thinking that Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS couldn’t be beaten but I have now found it with the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra. There are only slight tweaks to the original 3 GPS but this has increased the battery, performance, health tracking, customisation & a compass.
Design
Great design, elegant enough for formal wear & casual enough for the gym.
Performance
Very smooth scrolling with flagship interactions. The Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra sports a modified Snapdragon 4100 processor which makes the smartwatch very snappy.
Battery
Great battery allowing proper sleep tracking with all day use for at least 3 days with all sensors switched on. The low powered secondary mode (Essential mode) has addition customisations where you can change the colour to suite your mood & includes a backlight.
The other good thing about having this watch is it should be inline for a software upgrade from Wear OS 2 to Wear OS 3.
Extended Features includes:
24 hour heart tracking.
Physical & Mental status tracking.
Sleep tracking.
Blood oxygen tracking.
NFC for Google Pay.
Waterproof for Swimming pools.
Compass built-in
Mic & speaker to allow voice calls or Google Assistant.
Essential mode which puts the watch into an extra low powered state allowing sleep tracking, step counting & time for multiple days (I think 45 days is quoted, I’ve used it for 7 days from 100% & still ended up with 85%).
Essential mode can also be timed which I use between 00:45 & 07:00 leaving me to charge the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra twice a week.
The only negative I have found is the name of the device is a bit too long but the price makes up for this.
Love this smart watch.
So I had the TicWatch 2 which I loved but got the TicWatch 3 after I damaged the TicWatch 2 (my fault). After a month of use I have found that the TicWatch 3 has improved over the TicWatch 2 in every way possible.
I like to wear a wrist watch all the time as I have to keep track of the time while I’m working and I prefer to see the time without having to take my phone out of my pocket or talking to an assistant.
I use the TicWatch 3 mainly in the essential mode as I can see the time but don’t have to worry about the battery dieing, I’m sure the battery will last easily over a month, and the back light in essential mode is awesome as it means I can use it in the dark. And the ability to choose the back light colour is an added bonus.
The other main thing I like about this watch is that it is so much faster to go boot up into normal mode. The smart watch boots up and ready to use within 30 seconds, that means that if I want to use all the function of the watch I only have to wait a few seconds, and then when I’m done I just put it back into essential mode. My TicWatch 2 was a bit slower in this department.
Other things I like about the watch. The extra bio sensors are really good and seems really accurate. The strap is much more comfortable, I changed the strap on my TicWatch 2 to a after market ceramic strap but I have decided to stay with the original for this one.

Great wear OS smartwatch
Prior to buying this watch I have owned a Tic watch S2 for the past 2 years. I have always been impressed by the reliability of the watch and ease of use so when it was time to upgrade I immediately looked at Tic Watch products.
The watch arrives in a nice size box with simple instructions in the form of a quick start guide and a neat magnetic USB charger which attaches to the underside of the watch.
The watch itself arrives with a comfortable brown leather look strap which gives it a distinctive classic appearance. The strap is a standard size and can be easily changed if you don’t like the colour.
The watch feels solid and well made with its gorilla glass screen. There are two large function buttons on the right hand side of the watch which add to the classic design and make the watch simple to operate.
The biggest difference I found from my S2 watch is the bigger watch face making interactions much easier. Despite the watch being larger than I’m used to it doesn’t feel much heavier so still sits comfortably on my wrist.
The watch display is particularly impressive with a low light “always on” display giving basic information such as time, date and step count. This mode is often all that is needed and obviously assists with battery life. However if you need more detail or need to interact with apps a touch of the screen activates full colour mode which is sharp and vibrant.
There are plenty of watch faces available for the phone through the Mobvoi app or google play store. Apps themselves are simple to download from play store and the phone arrives with a number of really useful Tic health apps already pre installed which are all simple to operate. Navigation around the watch is simple with a very responsive touchscreen and no noticeable lag due to its impressive processor.
I have used the phone to take and receive calls and found the microphone and speaker quality to be clear and reliable.
Battery life on the watch is one of its stand out features lasting 3 days at a time between charges with moderate use of apps including health apps which monitor heart rate 24/7. I believe in essential mode, with all apps turned off, the watch can last up to 45 days!!
I would highly recommend this watch based on build quality, ease of use and excellent battery life, I am delighted with this upgrade.

A comprehensive Smart Watch without breaking the bank
I bought this off the back of owning the TicWatch S2 & the TicWatch Pro 2020. These days the older S2 isn’t quite up to my needs as a “Fitness” watch (the battery doesn’t last for 5 hour long mountain biking sessions when using the fitness features), so I wanted to swap my 2020 into my “Fitness” watch, the Pro 3 GPS (Bluetooth) seemed like the logical choice for my “good watch” :).
There are far more comprehensive reviews on here already so I’ll keep mine short by comparison.
General Thoughts – This watch is awesome, it’s fast, it’s responsive, it’s everything you could possibly want from a Smart Watch. The battery life is really impressive, the FSTN screen with a backlight is a stroke of genius (more below) and it’s clearly built to last. When I bought this I also bought some tempered glass screen protectors (these ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08LPS2H5Y 7.88 for peace of mind was a no-brainer) as I hate the idea of scratching or damaging the watchface itself, the pictures I’ve posted (other than the unboxing ones) are all with the screen protector on, you can’t really notice it at all and the watch still works perfectly.
Pros –
– The FSTN screen – The LCD screen on the previous “Pro” TicWatches was brilliant for battery life, but the FSTN screen takes this to the next level. I’ve turned off “tilt-to-wake” entirely, 90% of the time I look at my watch it’s for the time and now it has a backlight I can get this at a glance without any impact on battery life.
– The battery life – This is probably massively helped by the screen, but it EASILY lasts 2 days (48 hours), with all of the bells and whistles turned on, I’m talking 24 hour heart & SP02 tracking, Stress tracking, Sleep as Android. Without that it would probably last 3 days but that isn’t my use-case.
– The build is really nice, it’s lighter than the Pro 2020 that I have, but still feels just as robust, which is probably really nice if you’re looking to use this as a fitness watch
– The OS/Apps – Whilst the watch is running WearOS, there are obviously a load of TicWatch apps on there, all of them serve a good purpose and integrate with other services e.g. Google, so if you want a heavily ‘Googley’ experience you can still get it, but by using the TicWatch apps you get them in a way that’s more optimised for the watch e.g. heart rate tracking, exercise sync-ing etc. (it even syncs to Strava for people that like that stuff).
– Interchangeability – This seems like a really small/pointless thing, but it’s something I appreciate. I have a load of 3rd party (and TicWatch) watch straps from my other watches (S2 & Pro 2020) and they all fit this watch too, it means I can easily pick and choose what straps are on what.
Cons –
– I really wish I could find something I didn’t like, but any minor niggles that I have are WearOS specific rather than related to this watch e.g. I’d love to have more than 5 tiles, I’d love for there to be more data-driven/interactive watch faces for google fit, none of these are Mobvoi’s problem and certainly not an issue with the watch.
– The only ‘bad’ thing about this watch is that it’s made me realise how slow/clunky my S2 is, again, not a fault of this watch, more of a complement of how excellent this watch is!
Overall, if you’re looking for a comprehensive smart watch without breaking the bank this is the answer, it’s got everything you need for not just for now, but its equipped with all the tech for the next generation of WearOS which is coming to TicWatch later in 2022.
