Very impressed
As a heavy user of TomTom need to say that I’m very impressed.
The screen is much more responsive and brighter than previous models.
The calculation of the route Is at least 10 time faster and giving you 2 or 3 suggestions, depending on the settings you’ve being set /so be careful with this/
The new OS is much more smooth and readable, preparing you for your next turn in small window.
The battery is good, about 1.5/2hours from full charge, so better keep it connected during long drive.
My only issue was to connect with my phone/android/ took me about 2 hours fighting with it and I gave up. After reading some reviews I did it with no probs, so REMEMBER, before connecting it, just restart your phone and turn on your data through Bluetooth and the will connect within 5 secs/ probably phone issue/. Once connected become a beast. Really good peace of kit.

After having many many sat navs i was losing hope of ever finding one half descent, so after watching a youtube vid of a trucker who highly recommended this one i thought i would splash out and buy it, we have just come back from a 3 week holiday in France touring in a motorhome, this sat nav even knows the way out of service stations (if you have been to France on the tolls their service roads go on for some distance through woodland and all over an area where there is picnic tables and rest areas etc) I think on the whole trip it forgot to tell me to take a turn – but i am always looking at the screen anyway – its very fast, all my previous garmin models are slow, i get to a junction before sat nav does – not with this one, it has loads of features too, it has auto change over depending on what country your in from mph to kmh and the time too, the only thing i can score this down is that i wish it had a clock on the screen showing the actual time, apart from that its damn awesome !

Traffic is miles better then my HGV Garmin sat nav and also a lot faster like a lot faster there is some things I wish it had like my Garmin did for instance truck size was in FT and not meters but I suppose it’s just getting used to it also to edit a route u have to add a stop on the road u want to go down even tho it’s not a stop it should just say edit this route all in all my Tom Tom is a lot better than my Garmin Delz cam the speed and traffic alone are miles ahead just takes a bit getting use to it as I had Garmin for about 5 years but just wanted a change I do miss the built in dash cam I had on the Garmin tho

A great piece of ki
I’ve been using this for over 7 months now and it’s never let me down (artic, different hieghts daily). As long as you can connect to mobile data for live traffic, you won’t end up in traffic either, if there’s a legal way around it, it will re route. Only downside is obviously its not cheap, also, not sure whether you can do this via the tomtom website, but there’s a few times it’s tried to take me around low bridges that I know have had the road dug out to increase the hieght, it would be handy if you could input this manually so it doesn’t happen the next time you pla0n that route.
One last thing, its no infallable, it’s a sat nav so don’t take for gospel it’s sending you the right way, you still need to check the route, no good trying to limbo under a bridge or getting craned out of a dead end and blaming the tomtom!

This is a great product in nearly every way but have one small issue, unable to find a solution to. why isn’t it showing some info on maps and to get a support answer or find email is very difficult and don’t even think about trying to find phone number for suppo

Great sat nav in every respec
I’m a truck driver and this sat nav is very accurate in every respec
4.0 out of 5 stars OK but Map updates useless and no advance warnings
Most of the time this does the job but I drive the same route from work every day and it tells me there is a 7.5 limit.
There is not but despite reporting it on Map share it never gets fixed.
Garmin gives you advance warning of speed limit changes and sharp bend.
Unfortunately this one doesn’t.
In hindsight I should have but the Garmi

GPS poids lourds de TomTom en trs nette amlioration. Trs fluide. Propose jusqu’ 3 itinraires diffrents.
Contrairement ce que certains disent la connexion bluetooth n’ai pas ncessaire pour l’info trafic, le simple partage de connexion suffit

Hace un buen trabajo como unidad gps para vehculos ms grandes. Si desea todas esas funciones adicionales, como usarlo para llamadas con manos libres, etc., busque en otro lado ya que no tiene ninguna. Para m est bien, valoro un gps para la funcin principal: ser un buen dispositivo de navegacin. Una estrella fuera: por no proporcionar una ranura para tarjeta microSD. La memoria interna de 32 gb apenas es suficiente para almacenar toda la regin (y puede crear problemas cuando se necesita una actualizacin). Podra manejarse eliminando algunos pases que no est visitando (puede manejarlo pas por pas), pero si desea conservar toda Europa, incluidos Rusia y Turqua, casi no queda memoria. Por qu no proporcionar la maldita ranura para tarjetas SD?
Proper big screen and worth the price
The device is very fast finding the new routes, connects to your Wi-Fi so you’re up to date with the traffic and delays. The speaker is really really loud which is good. 7 inch screen is big enough and looks massive, bigger isn’t necessary. I’ve never had an issue following it as a class 2 driver avoiding lower bridges. In my opinion it is worth it.

Hi all I have one dislike about this sat nav and that is it took on a detour last night 30/12/2021 due to a road been closed but it was taken me close to a restricted area for tonnage then warned me about before I entered my point is why did it take me that way only to warn me before entering. The good points I like about this sat nav is that you can update through your phone using your Bluetooth or WiFi data hotspots/it’s also touch screen/the processor is fast it will recognise upto 183 countries around the world/it indicates weight restrictions on the screen as you r driving down the road/and you can save your routes to its large memory/it has voice control/and the sound is loud so no more turning radio down so u can heard the commands.

Ich muss sagen das Navi Funktioniert wie ich es von TomTom erwartet habe, mit der Bluetooth- Tethering Verdbingung ber das Smartphone war fr mich zwar etwas kompliziert (da ich sowas noch nie in den Einstellungen genutzt habe), aber als ich es raus hatte ging auch das Live Traffic ohne probleme. Von der schnelligkeit von Touchscreen her ist es schneller als das 6250, der Akku naja… Ohne Kabel fhrt glaub ich eh keiner rum daher lass ich das mal weg.
Ich Persnlich kann das TomTom Go Expert nur empfehlen, fahre tglich damit und bin Zufrieden.

Da un navigatore che costa quasi cinquecento euro mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di pi. Tenda molto facilmente a laggare, bloccarsi, per non parlare del suono robotico se aumentate il volume al 100%.

I miss the time on the route into bar and the access to options is way to big, the maps seem to be more accurate than on the 6250 that this replaced so thats a plus. Mostly it’s fast and a tomtom what more can i say

Very quick to load routes, live traffic updates and rerouting have been a huge time saver, and the price was superb as when I purchased it was cheaper than the smaller screen version.
All in all a fantastic buy!
Update: When change the vehicle settings from Truck to Van the speed limits on National Speed Limits show the limits for a car when in actual fact National speed limit on single and dual carriageways are 10mph lower than a car.
Tom Tom support simply say it can’t be changed.
I am now thinking of refund and go with a competitor model that works as it should

Great device, opens up really quickly and so easy to work gets you where you want to be, if I had to complain about it, it would be that certain roads which it has as 7.5 ton limit “arnt” sometimes trys taking you not the quickest route

Ich habe lange Zeit ein Garmin LKW betrieben, aber die Verkehrsmitteilung ist wirklich schlecht. Anders das Tom Tom Expert es sagt mir Staus in Echtzeit an und die Routenplanung ist auch super, es passt ganz Europa auf das Navi!

Unit could have current time and arrival time but only had arrival time. Zooming in on junction while on a route it stays zoomed in for too long for me

Habe das Navi fr den Bus gekauft, dort kann man die relevanten Busabmessungen eingeben die dann bei der Streckenplanung bercksichtigt werden. Hatte keine probleme bei der Streckenfhrung. Auch die Saugnapfhalterung wei zu gefallen. um das Gert zu Updaten ist kein Computer notwendig das geht ber das Wifi im Gert.

Sehr gute Routenfhrung,Stauvermeidung topp, Sprache gut zu verstehen, Display gro und bersichtlich. Einzige “Schwche” manchmal ein bisschen spte Information, d.h. die Ansagen knnten hier und da etwas “frher” kommen.

I’ve used this sat nav for about 2 months before writing this to try and give a fair review. I upgraded from the original tom tom trucker so was interested to see any significant improvements over the the previous model.
The display is more detailed being hd and the touch screen is more responsive with less lag. The best improvement by far though is the processing speed, typing a postcode or manually searching an address is so much quicker and it loads up 3 routes to choose from in seconds. Whilst driving if you want to find alternative routes it takes about 5-10 seconds to load up 3, rather than what felt like minutes on the old model. Live Traffic is accurate but needs connection to your phone via Bluetooth just remember to have your personal hotspot turned on in phone settings otherwise it wont connect.
Id say on average its been about +95% accurate in routing but there is that 5% or less where it can try to have you do strange things like go past a junction to come back on yourself for no apparent reason or thinks a road has a weight restriction when it doesn’t, so don’t rely completely on this device or any sat nav for that matter you should always plan your route and use common sense. Having said that its never took me to a low bridge.

A nice feature is it displays weight or height restrictions on the map for roads that are coming up but they are quite small so its difficult to read. For some strange reason its doesn’t display the current time and I know I’ve got the time on the dash and tacho but I always used the sat nav for the time. So tom tom if your reading this make that an option on your next update as there is plenty of room on the route bar when its set on wide.
Do I recommend this sat nav and yes is the answer. I’ve given this 4 stars but it would have been 5 if it wasn’t so expensive. Its not perfect but I doubt any sat nav is but in my experience this is the best sat nav tom tom has released.
UPDATE, I’m not sure what’s happened but since an update there are too many times when this sat nav will route around main A roads to avoid a weight restrictions that are not there. few examples are A127 southed on sea, A168 Thirst , A40 to Whitchurch from M50 . Until these issues are sorted I’m changing to one star.
UPDATE 2- Tom Tom have mostly fixed the issues of weight restrictions with updates that apply to side roads which the sat nav thought were on the main A roads! so I have increased my review to 4 stars

I have been using my Tom Tom go Expert for three months. The touchscreen is very sensitive, easily touched by mistake and you end up anywhere. Simple to use, voice control is very good . Set your vehicle size and of you go.
If you turn in to a restricted road the system will inform you. just fantastic

Very good, not perfect.
Loads better than my trucker 6000, super quick interface. Never fully trust a Tom Tom route though I always double check and now the map has restricted roads and bridges marked so it makes it easier. Overall very pleased.

Very good accuracy. Some new roads need to be updated. Only one negative thing you can’t save much places.

Das 520 war schon gut, das Go Expert eine andere Liga.

Ich nutzte das Gert nun ein paar Wochen.
Mein 520 hat mich berall hingebracht, das Go macht es noch besser.
Super Display, schnellere Eingaben und besseres Men. Verkehrsmeldungen schneller und noch
prziser. Sind die Einstellungen richtig gewhlt, ist die Routenfhrung super.
Fazit, klare Empfehlung.

I use Apple Maps to find landmarks or pinpoint destination better. When I plan route via My Drive app it gives a better address for destination rather than just the street name.
The route bar is best when on wide as it show more about the rout ahead ie roadworks/fuel stops/truck parking and any delays (with an estimate of delay). Although I have noticed that some of the motorway services are not highlighted on the route.

In my opinion this is one of the best buy on the market, it has, like I said, 5% error but for me personally that’s nothing.

Great new satnav traffic updates are really accurate. However I bought my first one direct from TomTom and was faulty. Customer service is very difficult as there’s nobody to actually call. Everything is done online via chat. I had more help from Facebook on messenger than online TomTom. But given that it’s a very good sat nav

First off, the device, compared to my previous 6250 the touch screen is snappy and responsive, no more slow lag time between screens and the touch screen is far more sensitive than before which is a positive. The graphics of the software are far cleaner and nice and crisp to look at and the 7″ display enhances this, the device mount I use on the windscreen of the truck and it has not fell off so far, it’s quite a bit chunkier than previous models and has good dexterity to get a good viewing angle. The device and accessories and quality I would rate at 9/10
Software, I connect my TomTom to the Bluetooth on my iPhone and have not experienced any issues in drop of signal, if it has then I have noticed. I find the live traffic and route options fantastic and on this new device it gives you a few different routes to choose after you’ve entered your destination which I like and is an upgrade to previous models. Also I like how clear it is for which lane is best to take on slip roads approaching roundabouts etc, it will highlight which lane to take or both lanes which I really like and helps me out. I have mine set to 44T and 16ft height and so far flawless, has not let me down. It will plan a route from time to time that includes a 7.5t weight limit which I find slightly odd but it does warn you in advance and provides alternative routes. Speed camera alerts are 8/10 accurate and can be relied upon I find in UK.
Overall I’m very happy with the device, if you are buying your first truck large vehicle TomTom then get this model it’s far better than previous generation models.
If you are thinking of upgrading from 6200/6250 then it’s definitely an upgrade but more cosmetic in terms of faster unit better POI and nicer interface and user experience, I would say 40% upgrade on previous models.

I would like to put a lot of credit and praise to this 7″ Tom Tom Go Expert,it’s a great bit of kit,I did have the pleasure of testing it for about six months,it’s never let me down the bluetooth has no flaws and live traffic has helped a lot.if there was ever any problems come up where resolved and I could only count 3 in total and these where minor,over all a great help as I’m an hgv driver and have to get to a lot of remote spots
