A toy I remember from when I was young. My 11 month old loves taking these all apart and squeaking them and my 3 year old enjoys matching the shells to their egg colour. A great value fun toy that doesn’t need batteries.

I’m amazed by how much our daughter loves these. We bought them when she was a few months old and she was fascinated by them… Now she’s 15 months and she still brings the box to us daily and asks us to open them so she can play. We paid 6.66 and for these and they’ve been her favourite toy for a year!

Our children had the classic version of these little eggs so, as new grandparents, we couldn’t resist buying a set for our granddaughter for Easter, since she is far too young for chocolate.
With so many toys, even for young babies, today composed of bits that light up, make a noise etc, it is quite refreshing to have something that, whilst brightly coloured, involves the child in having to be more proactive to get a noise or fit the eggs into the box.
I don’t think it is as sturdy as the one we used to have and the squeaks are not as pronounced as I remember, but that might be me wearing rose tinted spectacles. It is still a sweet little toy and, I hope, will give hours of pleasure.

While this is sold as a baby toy – many older kids love to play with them – even up to ages 4-5 Brought them as a surprise for 2 year old twins to play with and they would ask for them every day – they would also pretend to crack them to make breakfast so great to use to play in a kitchen – loved them!
Nice Toy
A classic toy that I remember from my own childhood. Little one was not massively interested in them at first, but they are now helping with learning colours and shapes. They do seem to get dirty quite easily and have scuffs all over them, so don’t stay nice for long.
These eggs are just so amazing!
They were given to my son as a gift when he was a baby over 10yrs ago and he just loved them – putting them in and out of the box, taking the lids on and off and of course, squeaking the eggs themselves.
They were such a hit that I bought them for my baby niece who seems to love them just as much – they’re great for sensory learning, putting in their mouths for exploring and for finer motor skills.

For the price this toy is really good. Well made, and has lots of ways to help babies develop and learn. Each egg/chick has a different colour, expression, and shape on the bottom, making it fun to match them up in several ways.
I think in the description it says the chicks “tweet” which is not really true. They make a slight squeak when pressed which is more mechanical than musical, if I was being picky.
Small human happy with them
The small human who received them went straight to quality checking them by throwing them from a height all over the floor and later tasting them. Seemed satisfied.
Also happy to report they work well as a modern day monty python horse!
Classic toy
Used to see these in every playgroup I went to so bought some for my nieces to play with. They love them and they’ve withstood the test of time and constant bashing toddlers give these things. Easy to get out and clean up and keep the little ones entertained a fair while so would recommend as a small space saving cheap toy to keep in any relative toy box for sure!

My baby enjoys playing with these eggs for a short time at the moment (however long it takes to throw them out of the box!) but I can see this is a toy which can be used for a long period of time. There are lots of options for play, including matching colours, shapes and emotions. I also particularly like the box the eggs come in which makes it very good for taking out of the house.
The only downside is how long I spend putting them away as I have to have them in the right place!

Honestly I have to search high and low for these things once they’ve been played with, perfect size for going under cupboards and sofas My little boy (11 months) likes them but gets annoyed because he can’t put the top of the shells back onto the eggs so they generally get dashed about. I think he’ll grow into them though!

I bought these as a stocking filler for my 15 month old. He absolutely loves them. Plays with them everyday and is very engaged with putting the shell together. For 8.99 definitely worth it .
Irritating 😬
I just don’t understand them, my little boy does hold them and try putting them in his mouth , my older boy had a go too, but all in all – they’re frustrating and pieces easily lost . They aren’t very interested in it.

We ought these when my daughter was 6 months old and they have been a resounding success! She loves taking them out of the box, putting the lids back on and tapping two lids together.
She is now 10 months and these are still a favourite toy.
The fact that there is opportunity for colour and shape matching means that these toys will e a fim favourite for a long time yet! They are great!!

Some toys the baby can get bored of quite quickly but these seem to hold their interest for longer than most toys. Their good for traveling as they don’t take up too much room but it can sometimes be difficult to find all the pieces as they roll easily and can get lost under the sofa often.

I’d heard about these eggs and how they’re enjoyed by children all over. Didn’t think they could be that good, I mean they’re just eggs right?! Wrong! They’re magic and keep my 7 month old entertained for an unreasonable amount of time! Perfect for traveling with too, I can see this being a firm favourite for some time!

My 5.5 month old son loves these eggs as did my older 2 children when they were babies 8 and 10 years ago! They’re robust and stand the test of time. Would always recommend to new parents once their baby gets a bit older.

Yeah he’s too small to match the colours and shapes to the egg box but he loves the eggs and egg shells even more. I’m just scared that I will lose these eggs so I never take them out of the house lol.

Love this toy so much that I’ve bought it for a friend’s 1 year old.
My daughter has had this toy since she was baby and it’s still going strong 5 years later for our son to start playing with.
It really helped her learn colours, shapes, colour matching (the lids to the eggs), facial expressions, shape sorting etc. Now she’s older she likes to arrange them in rainbow order and plays with them like real eggs in her kitchen (tapping them and splitting open the lid like a real eggshell, so imaginative play too). It’s endless fun.

And I just noticed you can also buy the bus, plane and tractor for them which I’m definitely doing to get.

I bought when my son was 6 months because of the review.
I got it and thought its such a rubbish toy and how would he ever use this and there are so many pieces.
At around 8/9 months it became his favourite toy he puts the shells on and off. Babies love peekaboo toys and he loved it so much that I bought him another version of the eggs.
He still loves it at 11 months old
Only downside is there are so many pieces, very easy to lose. Lost a couple pieces already

My child loves these. They were an Easter present at 6 months old and they are now his favourite toys. He gets hours of fun out of them, so I can’t recommend them enough.
A previous review mentioned that the top got stuck in a child’s mouth. They’re well chewed on here but there’s no danger of them fitting into his mouth, so please don’t let that put you off.
They’re really well made, appealing toys. These eggs are undoubtedly the best toy purchase that I have made.

My son is maybe a little too young for these still, but they were an Easter present. The faces aren’t the most appealing I’d say, my nephew said they looked a little scary. My son loves the colours although he hasn’t got the hand of holding these brilliantly yet. They all make very similar if not the same squeak so would of been nice if they were different, but I’m sure they’ll be a huge hit once he’s older!

My 8 month old absolutely loves these, she’s had them for a few months now and they get played with everyday. She mainly just bashes them about at the moment but she likes the sound it makes.
These are one of my favourite toys for her, they have shapes on the bottom that fit into the tray, so they can match the shapes. They have colours on the faces on the shells to match the yolk which will teach them to match the colours and they have emotive faces so you can go through emotions with them. And they squeak.

My daughter loves them, although they do go missing quite frequently as she takes them out and likes playing with them rather than sorting the shapes or colours. The external colours are not obvious enough to match with the internal colours. Bright and eye catchingly attractive however!

My niece loves these…well, banging them together in the case and making a loud rattling sound with them. The squeak is barely audible so that was a little bit disappointing. The sorting aspect is a bit complex for her at 7 months, and the colours on the exterior of the eggs are a bit subtle but I’m sure she’ll figure it out eventually!

Great Toy
I brought this based on other reviews for our 1yr olds birthday. When I opened I was disappointed there was no batteries and the noise wasn’t v loud, however she loves them! Gets them in and out of the box and closes the lid and bashes them to make noises and our oldest uses them as play food too!! So very pleased with them and would recommend them. It’s also good that you don’t have any batteries to replace all the time too!

Bought these for my 13mth old for his Easter present. He loves putting the eggs in and out of the box. As with all toys supervision is recommended, it’s easy to nip a finger when he’s trying to close the box.
