Really good
Love this microwave the price was really good value and I love the preset functions. It’s much more power than my previous microwave, heats up food way quicker. Can’t go wrong with this.
Works as stated
It works as stated in the advert. Good value for money & for microwave use. The only minor issue as stated in a previous revue is the noisy shutting of the door. All in all a good oven.
Excellent Rebounder Very Easy Build
I received this on a Sunday afternoon and had it built in less than 20 minutes on my own, very easy to put together and I am a very unfit 51 year old woman. Tried it out and it seems great. Much bigger than I expected.
Child friendly
Easiest ever dials and timers to use, even kids of ten can operate safely. Not noisy or smelly. Good family size and economic to use even for bigger meals. Nice finish and ergonomics.
Four stars
I have only given 4stars because the microwave was to big for the kitchen work top that was my fault because I didn’t measure properly otherwise I would have kept it.. seemed a excellent microwave in every way but of course I didn’t use it..the return was very easy thanks to Amazon’s simple straightforward instructions
Does the job
Needed a replacement for my ancient microwave. This one is well sized and looks good.
It’s main benefit which is it has a very clear easy to read & use control panel. This is a feature that many wouldn’t consider but is important when a family member struggles to see well.
Having large print numbers on a black background means that my husband finds it easy to use even without his glasses!
The one touch quick timers are brilliant
Would definitely recommend it, good value for money
easy to use
I brought a well known Top brand of microwave which i sent back due to some damage .. I didn’t want to risk replacing it, so I went for another brand.I am glad I did. This microwave is perfect. It does the job and easy to clean.
Apart from looking great on my kitchen counter, it also looks easy to use. Along with the good price, the deciding factor was that the specifications were clear and that the inside measurements were also displayed. Hopefully, this microwave will last as long as my old one. Time will tell, but so far so good. Delivery was on time and was able to track easily.
The Toshiba 800W 23L Microwave Oven has been a great addition to my kitchen. Its digital display and one-touch express cook feature make it easy to use, while the six pre-programmed auto cook settings simplify meal prep. The auto defrost function works well for quick thawing, and the stainless steel design looks sleek and modern.
Cleaning is a breeze, thanks to the easy-clean interior. For its size and power, it handles daily cooking tasks efficiently and reliably. Overall, it’s a versatile microwave that offers excellent value for its features.
I bought this to replace an all-bells-and-whistles Samsung combi microwave that had died a month after the warranty expired.
The Toshiba is a very convenient size and it’s easy to keep clean. It’s a fairly basic unit, so don’t expect some of the fancy gubbins that comes with more expensive models. That said, it is very easy to use, has a kitchen timer on it (jolly handy when you’re cooking and need a timer and aren’t using the microwave), and has variable power settings. It has a number of presets for different foods that are typically cooked in a microwave (such as jacket potatoes) and does have some more advanced features, like multi-stage cooking, that I’ve not experimented with.
Overall, it’s excellent value for money and well worth considering if you don’t need or want a combi unit.
Nice looking microwave that does a decent job at a decent price. The outside may be stainless steel but the inside isn’t, and it’s the inside that’s the most important when it comes to what it’s made of. Having easy clean listed as a feature is just as misleading as stainless steel. It gives the impression that there is some built in easy clean feature when there isn’t. The manual tells you to clean it with lemons and water.
So if you are looking for a microwave that microwaves then knock yourself out, but if you want one with a stainless steel interior or one that has an inbuilt easy clean feature, this is not it.
Can't fault it. excellent microwave
Easy to use and the buttons respond positively to the touch. My last microwave lasted 8 years, I hope this lasts as long. It has a one year warranty which can be extended to two by registering on line.
Best Choice
The functions on this microwave take a bit of working out and getting used to. I would have liked it to be white which would have suited my kitchen decor better, but no White models available.
Looks good. 900 wa
Looks good. Easy to clean. Heats really well.
Goid price. Only criticism is that the inside of the glass door moves when cleaned so I’m afraid to press too hard in case it breaks
Long-term efficiency
A good make and one that is reliable. The appearance is pleasing to the eye and there are sufficient controls to provide all necessary requirements. All in all a purchase I am content with.
As good as my last Toshiba a
The only part of this microwave that lets it down is the turntable and its drive. It breaks loose too often and is awkward to place back. Otherwise it is a great microwave!
I prefer products that apart from convenience are also value for money.
Value for Money: Let’s talk about bang for your buck! This microwave oven offers so much for its price point. From its sleek design to its impressive features, it’s clear that Toshiba didn’t compromise on quality.
Microwaves provide convenience in the kitchen irrespective of the brand, so I will not emphasize on those points.
Reliable and Consistent: I’ve been using this microwave for a while now, and it hasn’t let me down. It heats food evenly and quickly, and I’ve yet to encounter any issues with its performance.
Final Thoughts: If you’re in the market for a microwave oven that offers exceptional value for money, look no further than this product.
Plenty of room with 23L, plenty of power with 800w great price
The microwave is a decent size and sub 100 with free delivery is the best value I have found anywhere. It has a retro / restaurant kitchen look about but still sits well in our kitchen, I like it. Its surprisingly a lot quiet compared to our old one and works really well. So far its working as expected and the wife likes it, so I am obviously more than happy.
It's a Microwave and does the job neatly
Pros: easy steps, physical buttons, window on the front was big enough to see thru inside.
Cons: not too sturdy, feels like the rotating plate would fall of. When the door closes it makes a loud noise.
Is it the best microwave money can buy? – Nope
Is it worth buying and value for money? – definitely yes
Toshiba microwave with grill
Appearance is fine (black) took a bit of time for me to adjust to controls after having a combi digital microwave. As a microwave it is very good however the grill it not quite as powerful as I would like. Overall I’m pleased with product and the price was reasonable.
I bought this particular microwave for a few reasons: 1. My previous microwave had died; I wanted my new one to be electronic rather than manual as a manual doesn’t give accurate control; I shortlisted about 10 different ones and, based on reviews I chose this one.
It took longer to unwrap and remove from the box than it did to work out how to use it. Simplicity itself, that’s my view. OK, I needed to read the manual for the more intricate things, but in all honesty, I wanted it for the basics i.e. heating milk, cooking a ready meal, baking a potato etc.. All of these things it does to perfection. An example: I have two different types of coffee machine and each requires (for my tastes) to have a different volume of milk to be heated. One takes a minute (two presses of the Start /+30 secs button – each press adds 30 seconds to the heat cycle) and on takes 45 secs (one press of the ‘Timer Cook’ button and one press each of the 4 & 5 buttons followed by one press of the Start button). It’s as easy as that.
Now there’s many more things that this very well priced machine can do (already covered in the Toshiba description above) but 90% of simple microwaving, my description covers it all.
RECOMMENDED
Love this microwave
It’s everything I need in a microwave. Great size for the counter, but large interior. Proper buttons, instead of touch-sensitivity, for Stop and Start controls. A handle to open the door, rotary dials for selecting functions, modern design, high power and even a grill. Spot on.
A good all-round microwave
This microwave was a replacement for a smaller manual model I have reviewed elsewhere which developed a fault and became noisy.
This a a 23l capacity which is IMO rather better than the many 20l on sale. The oven is sturdy and mechanically sound. The interior is both well ventilated during cooking (less steam: less risk of rust), and easy to clean. The presets include useful buttons such as ‘potatoes’ which are useful rather than the latest tech. One odd anomaly is that the time display is 12 hour only. I took delivery in the afternoon and discovered that I could not enter “15:15”. It is mentioned in the accompanying book somewhere, not very obviously. The door shutting is rather noisy otherwise it all seems sound. Design is good. This is not the very high end technology, but very good value and more than enough for most users.
This is a nice easy to use and smart microwave with size capable of defrosting a XL/2kg Chicken within, a big plate of food if need to reheat a meal for easy convenience, the great thing also is the quick start settings once pressing the start button once it will start and operate for 30 seconds and numbers 1 to 6 offer a once pressed operation for that number of minutes chosen to really save bit of time and effort to get on to other kitchen options or just to get back to that Netflix series etc , overall very good reliable and good sized microwave ideal for a variety of sized areas required, digital display is ideal to know the time and of course the function timings, so enjoy this fantastic microwave
This is a large unit.!
When using the convection oven make sure you have plenty of space at the back (LHS when looking from the front). You get quite a fiery blast of heat coming out of there.
The oven as a whole is solid, well made and I like the enameled finish inside which is easy to clean.
I’ve had this unit for a month or so now and have used quite a few of the functions.
For Microwave, Grill and Convection oven the settings are straightforward. However, I do find the controls somewhat odd to understand when you are using the combi functions – its not very intuitive.
The only other niggle is the LED lighting is very yellow so can be difficult to see how well the food is cooking especially when grilling.
It is good value for money compared to other units of a similar spec.
Overall I like the oven and once I get used to the combi functions I’ll be well away.
It has no fan like my old one which is a downside. It means the door should be left open after use to dry out. Eco mode means I no longer have to flick it off at the plug. the display and light go out on their own when its not used or the door is open. You can turn eco mode off.
The 2 bottom buttons are so dark Its hard to read them. They should be illuminated. The controls could be simpler. I think you would sell more if older people could use it without referring to instructions. For example grilling and microwaving at the same time is not as simple as you would think. I like the 30 second increment button but sometimes 30 seconds is to long.
I gave up with defrost it didn’t seem to do much. A frozen fish pie was still frozen after a few minutes.
You have to press cancel for eco mode to come on or for it to reset or it will just sit at the last setting for hours. For example of it starts over cooking and I open the door before the timer has stopped it just holds the setting.
These reviews are for all models so when I asked a question the answers were very muddled. My model is the basic Toshiba 900w 23L Microwave Oven with 1050w Crispy Grill.
I did call customer service who answered quickly and helped with my questions.
It does not slide about and is smaller then expected but still takes a large plate. It seems to take a while to heat up food like a minute before it even starts to warm but then it bubbles very quickly.
I am happy with it and am going to keep it, I think I have had it 2 weeks now. It is only used to reheat food really.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy
I use my microwave a lot and the new one I bought is great. It’s easy to use and cooks everything I’ve put in it both with the grill and the microwave. So I’m very happy so far.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice purchase
Products that meet expectations are easy to operate, and there is no need to press the buttons repeatedly to adjust the time and temperature. The microwave oven is also easy to clean. I hope it will keep working all the time.
It has some advanced functions like a grill-microwave-grill cycle, but absolutely no information either in leaflet or on web site on how to use them, or rather what to use then for. It has no marking on it to show you the wattage, which you need to know for most preprepared packaged foods (it’s “850-900w”. It’s easier than it should be to accidentally microwave the metal stand (supposed to be used for grilling only) because the microwave and grill symbols on the dial are small, similar and adjacent. These are small issues though, so overall, still 4 stars.
We don’t just like our Toshiba Microwave, we love it. We went for Toshiba because our last micro was made by them and it lasted some 40 odd years. The new version is easier and quicker to use and it looks great, and doesn’t slide away from you when you shut the door like some of those we looked at.
The price has shut up on this model, almost 50% on original rrp. I bought on prime day for what i thought was decent but later found out that this microwave was much much cheaper only a year or so ago.
Anyway, much quicker to heat than my old 800w. I wanted a microwave with digital jog wheel, a clear door window and at least 23l.
Comes with grill function but I’ve never really made use of this setting.
The only negatives i have so far is that i find the blue led light is very bright, almost dazzlingly bright, not as clear and crisp as my last oven, so i keep it in eco mode, which turns it off after a short while. And i wish it had a silent mode. Oh and the function knob isn’t properly aligned with the dial!
Unlike some reviews, I found this microwave really easy to use, certainly for the simple tasks. Does require you to have a good memory for the settings of more in-depth tasks, or refer to manual each time…but who does that.
Initial set up is a doddle and so far the microwave has been faultless.
The feature that returns the plate to the start position is a great idea but is only required when times that are not multiples of 30 seconds are used.
Overall, very happy with it
My previous Panasonic had more features as it had a grill and oven but was awful to use even on basic settings and you couldn’t see the display or the printing on the buttons. Sometimes it is best to
KISS.
Keep It Simple Stupid.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good microwave
Still figuring out some of the features, but does what it should. Would have liked a better idea of timings, for different vegetables, and cuts of meat. Not so sure about the grill feature
The instructions need a little sitting down and digesting but it looks good and seems to do a lot. Setting up the clock was a 30 second breeze. I presently cant fault the equipment but can the delivery service used. I was advised next day delivery. No update except can be anytime up to 10pm… nothing turned up – no updates – totally wasted day. The delivery man arrived following day and no update or apology when i mentioend i should have got delivery the day prior – just I dont know – take picture and walk away. I would recommend the item but not the delivery service. That needs some work. I had a full day wasted and into the evening as they put up to 10pm. Quite Rubbish really.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good brand
Had this for a while now with absolutely no issues really good little microwave that does what it’s supposed to
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
Feels like its a solid build appliance that will last.
Fantastic!
I’m pleased with this lovely microwave oven here that I has it for over two months now – very easy to know how to use this microwave oven without any problem :o)
Solid Simple Micro
Just what I was looking for. I like the economy mode which turns the clock off. Controls are dead simple and something that other microwaves could learn from. Not had it too long so will see how the interior lasts.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice microwave
Instructions not helpful.my 9 year old granddaughter had to show me how to use
It.but ok so far.hope it lasts longer than my other Samsung one.
I did lot’s of research after my last oven died. This fits the bill perfectly and at a great price. Looks good. Can take a standard size dinner plate with room to spare. Power is more than enough. It’s easy to use and clean. Eco function is great with display going off after 30 seconds and comes back on instantly you open the door or touch a control. Importantly it’s not too big and sits on top of our freezer easily. Highly recommended.
Good price. I found manual useless and the dial icons too small to read in normal light. I was trying to set the clock and ended up setting timer instead as icons looked similar. The degrees of microwave on the screen didn’t quite match the dial icons. After my old Panasonic this seemed far more complicated but I got there in the end and once you’ve set it to full power you can leave it there and easily twiddle the time wanted. The manual gave no indication of what the different settings did. I had no idea until I read a review of what the eco setting did.
