A sturdy and easy to use tool that can be used as a leaf blower, but more usefully as a vacuum and shredder allowing leaves to be collected and shredded for mulching. The shredder does get blocked by wet leaves and twigs sometimes, so easiest to use in drier conditions. Altogether a very useful and cost effective garden tool – would recommend.

I seemed to be buying a leaf blower/vac regularly (once a season) because they either didn’t do the job or broke too easily BUT this time I decided to pay that little bit more and buy this Bosch. What a difference! This is so much more effective than a “cheap one” and that means the job is done quicker AND the machine is still available for next time!!
My only reason for not giving 5* is that it’s not too easy to transition from one mode (blow) to the other (suck) …. however in every other respect this is a 5* machine. Just wish I’d bought one sooner.

Leaf collectors are normally astonishingly noisy and a nuisance to neighbours. This one is the quietest I have come across and performs perfectly adequately on its lowest (and quietist) setting. Thoroughly recommended: I look forward to a cordless version in due course.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWell made, easy to assemble in vacuum mode (as long as you remove the impeller cover, which isn’t indicated in the drawings!)
Pretty quiet too and a perfectly acceptable weight, even when bag is full of wetish leaves.
Easy to unblock, but a little more awkward removing impacted soil around the inner rim.
As a blower it is very powerful and easy to use too.

Sucking up wet leaves worked much much better than I expected, and next year I’ll do it when the leaves are dry.

I was surprised that it was much faster than using a leaf rake, and I didn’t get dirty thrown in for good measure.

It chops up the leaves nicely, which will help in the compost.

With a three year warranty, if seems good value (with black friday deals).

The 10 digit code for registering for the 3 year warrantee is on the box starting with 06.

Why Bosch feels the need to say that in special circumstances the code starts with 06, rather than giving the three of four different options without further comment is beyond me.

It is more expensive than other models and I have no previous experience of this type of tool, but I am happy with my purchase.

This is a good value leaf blower/vacuum with plenty of power for the average size garden. It takes a bit of time to change over between the two modes of blowing/vacuuming, and the knob you need to tighten is quite stiff. Also the power knob on model is quite stiff. But all in all an effective tool. I was also glad I bought the wired version rather than a battery pack model – it means you dont have to worry about running out of battery and the wire is quite manageable.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOverall, I am pleased with this Bosch product which incidentally I only use as a leaves vacuum. Contrary to what some reviewers have said I found it pretty straight forward to assemble. It is well designed and well made and is likely to last a long time if well looked after and maintained. The rotary on/off switch which also adjusts the amount of vacuum or blow is excellent as this relieves strain from holding a push switch down as on my previous vacuum. The adjustment of the vacuum also is great as I have small gravel stones beside my path which I’d rather not suck up when clearing leaves from them. Be aware that there are microswitches on assembly of the various parts, so if you don’t ensure everything tightly fixed the microswitches won’t switch and consequently no power. The bag is brilliant and again well designed to attach to the vacuum (with a microswitch as well!). Another point worth mentioning is that if you are vacuuming leaves from on top of the earth, the vacuum will pick this up as well, and eventually builds a layer of thick mud inside the macerator housing which you’ll need to scrape out occasionally as it does reduce the suction. On a hard surface such as a patio or block drive, it has no trouble whatsoever. The bag does get heavy if you get to fill it up, but the well designed shoulder strap helps tremendously.
My only gripe is the cheap plastic non-flexible cable. What are Bosch thinking!!!! I worked for an International Cable Manufacturer and there are plenty of low cost FLEXIBLE PVC cables on the market. It is intensely annoying trying to coil the cable to store the vac/blower away!!! I may have to cut off the cable and rewire with some seriously flexible cable. Ummmm, that will invalidate the guarantee! Maybe not.

Used twice this autumn both for blowing the leaves and vacuuming the leaves. Both processes worked well and changing from blow to suck was not as difficult as some write ups had claimed. It was used on lawn, borders and gravel and performed well on all three provided you were careful with the power level. The mulching worked OK but personally, I would have liked the leaves to have been chopped a little finer. With the leaves being damp, liquid seeped from the collection bag so care was needed not to get it on yourself. Moreover, it also meant that the bag had to be turned and hung up to dry but that is not so difficult. I hope it works again next year when it comes out of hibernation. Overall, good value for money and an order of magnitude better than raking the leaves.

Very easy to use and charge. Cleared all the leaves in our garden which has trees behind the back fence. Battery life is not good needed two full charges. It is best to have a back up battery. Fortunately the battery for my Bosch hedge trimmer uses the same battery.

Really good product. This is the first leaf blower/vac i have ever owened so cant compare to others. However i would reccomend this product. The blow power is brilliant and the vac power makes easy work of wet leaves as well as dry. Its much more comfortable to use as a vac rather than a blower due to the weight (its not super heavy but depending how big your garden is holding it for a while does make your arm go dead) however with the vac part attached it comes with an extra handle which makes it much more comfortable to use.

This replaced an aged Flymo. Seems to be robustly made. Assembly took around 15 minutes, as I though one piece shown on the instructions was missing. However, the piece that blanks off the vacuuming airflow was already attached to the main body. Works well, both in leaf blowing and vacuuming modes. The vacuuming mode shreds the leaves efficiently, so they can then be composted. Unlike my old Flymo, to switch modes on the Braun requires some dismantling and reassembling – a minor pain but that only takes a couple of minutes.

Super pleased with product . Battery and charger supplied .The product is lightweight and so easy to use. Battery lasts for approx 20 -25 mins when fully charged.. but so convenient being cordless . A weekend away was cancelled due to Covid .. treated myself to this with the refund and so pleased I did .. makes the leaf collection so much speedier !

Nice and efficient vacuum, a replacement for an earlier Bosch vacuum. A couple of issues that don’t measure up to the old model. The long zip makes it difficult to empty the bag into another bag for rotting down for mulching. The rotary knob to turn on and set the speed makes turning off rather inprecise if you suck up something you shouldn’t. The bag has slipped out of the housing a couple of times – that may have been my fault but the holding clip seems insubstantial. Overall its not as good as the previous model, lets hope its not a trend for the next time I need one.

Exactly the high quality you’d expect from a Bosch unit. Very strong suction – easily deals with raked leaves, and carved them into mulch perfect for composting. (Beware – it’s so efficient an mulching that the bag can get a bit heavy before it’s full – especially if leaves are a bit wet.) Great purchase.

I bought this to replace a Toro vac/blower and think it compares extremely well to it. This product is lighter and has better suction, it doesn’t clog as the Toro did. It’s easy enough to assemble if you bear in mind the suction tubes need lining up and they’re a little oval, Changing the bag and suction etc are easier.

Ond niggle I do have with it, is the quality of the cable. It’s quite stiff and doesn’t roll up very well. Otherwise it’s had three full on sessionsm around a couple of hours each and never flickered.

This is very very good – really good strength on the blower and the vacuum is excellent. You get what you pay for with Bosch – great engineering.

The only slight faff is the switching of the kit between blower and vacuum is a bit of a faff – takes a few minutes.

On the whole – it does the job and is very good. Way better than the WORX i had before.

OK, first impression “That’s a small box” but when you open it you find that Bosch have packed the item very cleverly, doing away with superfluous packaging. They even resisted the urge that most manufacturers have of wrapping everything in plastic. Assembly was a little tricky, getting the suction tube to join, but now it is joined it will not come apart easily – ideal! Not a heavy item and nicely balanced to use. Easy to adjust handle and strap. And has that ‘well made’ feel you get with a Bosch. We’ve just had a fair few showers and the leaves are very wet, sticking to the patio. But this thing got them up easily. This has replaced a Flymo Garden Vac which, to be frank, couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding. The Bosch, must have been weened on McD’s milk shakes!

I bought this to replace an old one that no longer worked efficiently. As a first test it is much more efficient at both blowing and sucking.

Like many others the assembly from the pictures was not the easiest thing to do and I am a retired mechanical engineer! The diagrams in the user manual were a bit clearer. However after a bit of part inspection and picture studying I had cracked it in around 15 minutes to assemble it for both operations. The blower version was very easy – just fit the impeller cover and nozzle. But the suction version was the more difficult particularly as the suction tube was a very tight fit to assemble and the 3 sections had to be rotated precisely before pushing together to lock into place.

This vacuum is a lot more powerful than my old one and will suck up leaves and small twigs from a wet hard surface, grass or artificial grass. It even made a reasonable effort of picking up the odd acorns on maximum suction, though the larger ones needed some enticing to not fall out again ( by pointing the tube upwards after it had picked up the acorn so gravity helped it reach the impeller and bag). However if there are a lot, like we have, it would be better to blow into a pile and manually scoop them up to put them in a bin. I did not find it trying to pick up gravel (10 – 20 mm) even on maximum which is a good thing.

Emptying the bag is not as easy as implied – you either need to hold the whole machine over the receptacle (in my case it was a green waste wheelie bin) while opening the zip or remove the suction tube and bag assembly from the motor housing. Probably easier into a compost bin where you don’t have to lift the machine so high. Wet leaves do make a mess of the impeller and where the shredded leaves hit the bag side so cleaning after use is definitely advisable – I found an old washing up brush quite useful for this.

As a blower, it is very powerful and will easily move most rubbish into a pile. Here the variable speed is very useful to control the leaves and not scatter the pile. At the more powerful blower speeds it would scatter the gravel, so speed control was necessary.

The weight as a vacuum is not excessive at 7 kg but is better using the shoulder strap. It is considerably lighter in blower mode and I found it easier to sweep from side to side without using the strap. However the gyroscopic effect from the spinning motor when moving it side to side is more noticeable without the strap

NB. It is always advisable to disconnect from the mains before working on the machine but as a safety device if the screw holding the impeller cover / suction tube assembly is loosened, the motor will stop or not start.

    I have 2 annoyances:
Firstly it would be better to have a separate trigger for on / off as it is not easy to stop the motor in a hurry ( like when it tried to suck up the chair cover ).
Secondly I used to find it very useful to be able to switch between suck and blow to get leaves away from a difficult position or off the table or moving stubborn wet leaves before sucking them up. That is not possible with this one when it takes a few minutes to reconfigure for each operation. However it does make each operation more efficient in its function.

If my opinions change with more use I will post a revised review.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAfter our 12 year old 2-stroke Ryobi died, I was looking for a replacement that overcame some of the issues that most petrol blower/vacs suffer from because they are designed primarily as blowers and vacuum always seems to be an afterthought – e.g.:

    – Uncomfortable to hold in vac mode / difficult to carry the leaf bag
    – Hot exhaust tends to be blowing too close to the user
    – Fiddly to attach vac components / fragile once attached
    – Poorly designed bags don’t last long

Seeing mostly poor reviews for electric models, and lots of reports that they usually come with plastic shredding fans, I was really sceptical but after an hour with the Bosch, I can say I am pretty impressed.

    – Lightweight, not too loud (no ear defenders required)
    – No problems with the cable and no hot surfaces or fumes
    – Well designed for vacuum mode – comfortable to carry and operate
    – Plenty of power
    – Excellent shredding with full metal fan and the bag is well positioned not to block up
    – Excellent quality bag prevents dust and too much moisture on your legs and feet
    – Really simple to switch between vac/blow, empty the bag or open it up to check for blockages.

If you are in the market for something to use primarily in vacuum mode, I’d have to recommend this machine.

Lets see how long it lasts 🙂

Perfect for out needs. Living on the Coast, our garden is mostly pebbles. We get fallen leaves yes but mostly Pine needles that lay amongst the pebbles that we needed to suck up as they make the garden a mess. We found using this like a garden “Hoover” to clear this up worked amazingly well. Very time consuming but perfect for the job. Down side, TIME CONSUMING and item is HEAVY. Hard on the shoulders and back but never-the-less, item comes with a strap and spread over a few days, job was done. Can be taken apart and cleaned which is a bonus.

Hi. I wasn’t going to write a review, there are so many good ones already but, being me, I have to pass comment. I recently ripped up an old tarred driveway and replaced it with scalpins. I found a dark self binding type that leaves an excellent, if slightly gritty, finish.
I also have a BIG fuchsia hedge alongside the drive and its leaving leaves all over it. Not unpleasant but not what I’m after. So, I bought this, never thinking I’d pay 90 for a vac/blower, but I did. I’ve had three different brands over the years offering various results but this is the best I’ve had yet, hands down. Assembly is a doddle and you do have to slightly disassemble it to change from suck to blow. Don’t be put off by this as this fitting/refitting leaves you with a more robust machine, in my opinion. It’s really easy to do.
Back my new driveway. Going full tilt, this vac or blower moves stones and will suck up grit and gravel without thinking. It has a strong metal impeller which handles this but it’s still not good practice, so he careful. It took a little practice to get the variable powers setting right but when I did the machine did everything I asked of it and more. It munched leaves and small twigs well and also picks up little clumps of soil and because of this I store the bag inside out as the soil can stick to the bag and go gungy. Brilliant kit and if you need one and have the cash, but it.

This machine is excellent. Having returned the ‘Best Seller’ Terratek because it was useless, I gambled on the Bosch. I have not been disappointed. It’s well made, and it vacuums everything in its path – wet leaves, twigs and more and mashes them thanks to the metal grater. There’s a power control too, for the more delicate jobs where you don’t want to suck up gravel and stones. It works. Recommended.

Love this – glad I read the reviews and it makes a total mockery of the flymo vac it replaces. I love the variable speed – our borders are slate, but not once have we picked up slate – it’s removed all the leaves and debris without issue. Also, I really like how quiet it is compared to my old one. I would recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone else. I plan to also try this on my artificial grass at the front of the house to remove debris from the borders – I don’t see any reason why it wont do a fantastic job here either.

This appears to be a well built unit. Blower is plenty strong and is adjustable using a continuous rotary knob.
Is a bit fiddly to switch from blower to suction, takes a few minutes. Suction is quite useful on its top setting, and the bag holds a LOT of leaves, as it chops them down into tiny pieces before putting them in the bag.

Supplied cable will be too short for most gardens, but that’s usual enough and anyone using electrical devices around the outside of their house will likely have an extension lead anyhow.

I have had petrol leaf vacuums before, both failed after a short time. Got this one last week, assembled ok. Suggest lead should be longer and agree with other reviews the start stop switch/knob a tad awkward. But otherwise everything ready to go. Tried it on my drive and collected the silver birch leaves and seeds without any problem. Then in main garden, no problem in picking up leaves, did not gobble the pebbles, so strength is rights. Bag is about the right size not to get too heavy when laden. I am impressed with the macerating of the leaves, will make good leaf compost. So initially , impressed with my purchase. The quality of the product is good and well designed, as the leaves haven’t fallen from the trees yet I have not used the vac’ however, I have assembled all the parts and switched on. It is quite noisy but not too bad. I like the metal fan blade and the ease of cleaning and clearing an blockages and particularly the safety feature which prevents the machine being turned on when clearing or cleaning the fan blades. Next month I will test the vacuum, clearing leaves etc in the garden.
UPDATE. 23 November. I have now used this machine and this is my experience. First the assembly of the suction tubes was difficult because the coupling joint was slightly out of shape and the mains cord should be longer, my garden is small and it wouldn’t quite reach all of the garden. The mains cord is made from a rather stiff plastic. Why do manufacturers use this type of cord. That is all the gripes out of the way. The machine has plenty of suck and cleared leaves from almost all of the difficult places to reach. I’m pleased.

It really is a good buy, the instructions are easy to follow and it’s easy to assemble and it’s really powerful. At the moment I’ve only used the (variable) controller on the lowest setting
I wanted one with a power lead because I forget to charge things and I don’t need to use this away from my property.
Ticks all the boxes, if your on the fence like me, go for this one.

After reading poor reviews on all the reasonably priced garden vac’s I decided not to bother and stick with my broom. I then came across this one and decided to give it a go.

I have purchased many Bosch products over the years and only ever had one complaint regarding a cordless drill. After reading the reviews for many garden vacs, trying another brand which was beyond useless, I got this. Thought it may be a bit weak due to its wattage but I was wrong. very easy to assemble, works a treat and is not over heavy. I was impressed on how quiet it was. just needs a seperate on/off switch, separated from the power control

Just purchased this. Impressed with build quality. As an older lady I found assembling the tube which comes in three pieces something of a struggle as it’s a very tight fit but once done the rest was simple.

I’m 5’2″ tall and with the shoulder strap at it’s shortest point it’s comfortable and I can manoeuvre the machine but anyone shorter might struggle.

The vacuum is powerful on the highest setting and is adjustable as required and the machine is much quieter than my previous vacuum/blower.

    All in all very satisfied.

I bought this product primarily because it has a metal impeller making it more robust. The variable speed control is also the on/off switch, so you have to rotate it which is a very fiddley. It would have been better if the on/off was a separate switch so it can be used in case of an emergency rather than rotating a variable speed control. My previous leaf vacuum had a clip-on bag which was very easy to use, the bag on the Bosch has a zip and I am finding the process of emptying it into a container a very messy. On the whole, the metal impeller is a big plus for me especially if you suck in pebbles by accident, and a separate on/off switch would have made it a bigger plus.

This has changed my life. A neighbours tree drops leaves all year round and have to sweep up at least once a week – and getting them out of the flower beds is a faff And takes ages. Now I can just suck it all up in a matter or minutes and the mulcher makes small work of the disposal.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis was bought as a leaf vacuum and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The suction is more than adequate and it will even suck up the stubborn compressed stuff easily. I’d previously bought a cheaper model which was prone To blockages. I was particularly keen to avoid that going forward and the reviews sounded promising. I personally hate gardening so my partner is the primary user, but before I bought this model she was constantly getting me to dismantle the old one to remove blockages. Since getting the new one I haven’t had to intervene once. My weekends are now blissfully uninterrupted by mechanical failures.

Received this yesterday 30th July, what a fantastic tool for the price, lightweight and powerful, read a lot about the difficulty in changing from blower to vacuum and I have to say the process is painless, it takes no more than a minute if that to transform from blower to vacuum or vice versus, Bosch have got it right in my mind, used it in the garden today, not one issue but did notice that the top of the vacuum tube can start to build up earthy residue but having said that it took but a scrape to remove it.
Looking forward to a long relationship with this tool, 3 year guarantee was a nice surprise.

First time I’ve brought anything like this. It really is a great asset for any garden. You do have a three minute job to change the function over from sucking over to blowing but, it’s quite simple to do once you have done it the first time. The lead is quite ample but, if you have a long garden you will need an extension cable.

Great purchase and I’m really happy to save myself all the back breaking bending down to pick bits up from the lawn and paths etc. when you can just stand over them and suck them up.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis machine is only 1800 volts but because of the optimal layout (sucking directly into the impeller) it’s amazingly powerful. Most extension reels can handle a maximum of 2,400 volts so there’s headroom..
Sure, it’s a bit heavier than others but construction is far solider and above all the impeller is METAL not plastic which should make it far more durable. The vacuum tubes are unusually large-diameter which by reducing the velocity should reduce the chance of heavy items such as stones being sucked up. I bought it mainly as a vacuum but changing to a blower is easy enough- and the alternative of having a lever on the side to change immediately degrades the performance. The bag has ingenious extra side-flaps to prevent the dust which escapes from blowing up into the user’s face- a valuable asset.
The only small criticism is the on/off and speed adjuster knob – I’d greatly prefer a trigger which would immediately cut power if required rather than having to find the knob and twist it. Letting go of this trigger would automatically stop the motor.

Well built and easily assembled. I only use it as a garden vac, so haven’t used it as a blower.
I love the way that the suction is so variable. My previous vac only had two settings, but on this one the suction is controlled by turning a knob and can be finely controlled. I mainly use it for sucking up leaves from the parts of my garden which are covered in pebbles and this vac can be adjusted so that it sucks up the leaves, but not the pebbles.
The other major plus is that the blades that mulch the leaves are made of metal rather than plastic, so won’t shatter if it does suck up a stone. I’ve used it a few times now and it has never clogged up and the bag has a full length zip so is easy to empty.

Another excellent piece of kit from Bosch which as usual is well made and does what it’s supposed to do. I went for this one after reading reviews on several that were a third of the price but that all seemed to have issues such as the suction being inadequate etc. I wanted it purely for suction to get the dead holly leaves off a bed of slate chippings without sucking the slate up too and this does the job really well. On the lowest setting, it is just enough to lift the leaves leaving the chippings in place, and being variable speed there is ample suction for other tasks. The impeller is metal and substantial, and whilst I didn’t notice any bits of slate in the bag when emptying, I am sure it could cope with the odd bit without damaging anything. It is also light enough to used without the shoulder strap (for me anyway) unlike some I have tried, and this enables me to poke it into awkward places quite easily. Overall I’m really glad I spent the extra and went for this one. I haven’t used the blower function but the conversion required would only take a few moments and judging by the suction I’ve no doubt it would be fine if needed for that purpose too.

Golden Review Award: 86 From Our UsersThis is a purchase that will be kept at my folks and ill be using it in the garden and on the drive for them, they have a tonne of seeds, leaves and all sorts of garden debris which annually cascades from the air onto the floor so requires a twice yearly clean up. I picked the Bosch product over a multitude of alternates based on what seem to be genuine reviews, it is dual function, it looks well built in the product pictures unlike some of the competitors, it has a variable speed and of course because its Bosch and i have never been let down by any Bosch products in the past.

    The Good

    * The unit comes in a fairly small box, to unpack, read the instructions and put together took me in total less than ten minutes. First impressions are that it is well built, the plastic is sturdy, i would imagine it would survive several drops to the floor, lots of scuffing, dust and rubbish with no issues. I did look at alternates and i wasn’t confident in the build quality, this feels very robust.

The bag that comes with the unit is similar to Cordura, not quite as thick but again having read reviews of other products bags seem to be a common failing point so this is important to me.

    * As said putting together is very simple and took less than ten minutes to figure out. There are two setups, one for Vac one for Blow. The switch between the two is made by unscrewing a reasonable sized nut on the bottom of the unit, its easy to grip and takes less than 30 seconds, swapping the tubes and refitting. Very simple.

    * The cable is another plus, i always wonder with wired garden equipment how likely is the wire to become punctured or torn into by a branch or becoming stuck on brick or concrete. In this instance not likely at all, i wouldn’t want to make a ropes swing out of it but its built to last!

    * Whilst it is certainly robust it doesn’t feel overly heavy as i had feared, i used it initially for two hours and didn’t feel fatigued, it comes with a well padded shoulder strap which i used for vacuum however i didn’t feel the need to use when blowing, the attachment for blowing is much lighter.

    * Switch on is super simple, there is one nob to control and it works very much the same as a light dimmer switch, you turn it on and it is already at the lowest setting, to increase the power you simply continue to turn till you reach the desired setting.

    * Noise level is commensurate to the power setting, at low power i found it to be very quiet, i did think i would need ear defenders but that wasn’t the case, its a lot like using a slightly high powered standard house vac outside. Its not going to overly disturb the neighborhood!

    * I was initially a little concerned about the power, it appears to have a less powerful motor than some competing products, i needn’t have worried. My first job was to clear a half built driveway of tree debris which was mixed among rocks, gravel and hardcore. You can see on the video that even on low setting it briskly moves along anything loose, when you ramp up the power it almost sends tennis ball lumps of concrete into the air, it is powerful!

I would say based on the power that if you are going to vac leaves and debris then you may well be better off blowing into a pile to start if the ground beneath has many small stones or loose material so as not to suck everything up.

    * As you can see from the before and after pictures it did a very decent job of getting general debris up off the floor so we can start to build the drive way again, oh joy!

I would caution that it will pick up small stones if you are not careful, i actually sucked up a rubble sack which quickly clogged the machine. I simply switch off as soon as it entered, unplugged the unit, removed the vac attachment as i would if changing to blow and removed it, it had become a little shredded but no damage was done to the unit as per pictures.

Unlike a lot of competitors this has a robust steel shredder/fan inside. It is thick steel and i doubt it will break easily, the stones that i did mistakenly pick up simply went through and into the bag very quickly.

    * The collection bag is very good, easy to clip to the unit, tough and durable material, empties using a zip very easily into the bin.

    * I have included a couple of before and after pictures of the jobs undertaken straight out of the box.

    The could be better –

    * A minor one but both the vacuum and the blowing attachment would i feel benefit from having a narrower attachment to go onto the end so as to focus the suction or the blowing. Its a minor quibble, it certainly isnt the widest aperture and i dont imagine ill be losing a foot into it anytime soon but if i had one thing to say could improve this that would be it.

Overall i expect this will last a good few years, my current Bosch lawn mower is over six years old, i have had Bosch power tools and also hand tools, all are reliable and well built, this comes with an extended three year warranty so if you do pick one up be sure to register it with the Bosch main website.

For blowing and sucking up leaves and general debris this is a very good purchase, its easy to assemble, easy to operate, not overly heavy and certainly not cumbersome. The variable power is a bonus, the noise level can be kept relatively low, it has a 3 year guarantee and its very green in colour, who wants to wander around the garden with a huge piece of orange plastic strapped to their torso!

    Highly recommended.

    Five Stars.

Bosch equals Quality, this is a very sturdy and feature filled Garden Blower & Vac, Five Stars!

It is half as noisy as the previous one .
Switching from sucking to blowing is relatively easy and takes about five mins.
Not the lightest of tools and never used it on grass as its all solid ground at my home.
    Solidly made .

Very good, but not the strongest blower. I purchased this because I had recently brought the Bosch cordless mower which had 2 batteries with it. This didn’t come with a battery, but the mower battery fits it. It clears dried leaves very well but if they are wet it takes longer. The battery last roughly 20 – 30 mins depending on how high you have the setting.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersUsed this a couple of times to clear leaves in my garden. In the past it has taken several weekends to clear all the dropped leaves at this time of year. With this it took just 4 hours. It is amazing with fantastic suction power that you can vary. I actually found it to be too powerful in certain areas and had to reduce it down. It mulches the leaves up brilliantly so you can dispose of the waste on the compost heap!
Only downside was that it has to be cleaned regularly when sucking up wet leaves which is a bit of a pain. However I would recommend using when the leaves are dry to get round this if possible. I will certainly do this next time – this will also reduce the weight of the waste bag when it gets full.
In summary this is a brilliant device that saves so much time and effort. Well worth the money.

This cordless range by bosch really is superb. I love the fact you can use multiple garden tools with just the one battery thereby saving money. So far I have the lawnmower and leaf blower and I can’t fault either. The leaf blower is very lightweight so am convinced anyone could use one, but at the same time plenty powerful enough for the job. Will certainly be buying more of this range next year.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersHaving bought a number of different ones over the years that seem to be quite poor quality and break easily, this is by far the best one I’ve bought. It feels much more sturdy, well built and has a control to manage the power and speed of the blower or mulcher. Its worth noting that you do have to take a couple of parts off and on to switch between the blower and the mulcher but takes a matter of minutes to do and very simple. I think this is excellent value.

Golden Review Award: 128 From Our UsersTo replace an old Black and Decker garden vac and blower that lasted over 20 years, I bought this from Amazon for 89 a few days ago. It arrived by Prime the next day in good order. It was easy to assemble from the visual instructions. The tool is well thought out and generally of stout construction. The vacuum bag is sturdy and attaches simply and well. The impeller is sturdy alloy. The tubes are robust. To change the tool to a blower you need to detach the bag and its housing which docks with the body of the tool, over the impeller. You then replace the housing with another, but sealed, one, and attach the blower tube. I did not mind a vac/blower where you have to change the tube manually, as I was used to doing that anyway. The operation takes a bit longer, but less than a minute, and you have to store the blower tube and housing separately while the tool is rigged as a vacuum, and vice-versa.

I prefer not to have wheels on the vac nozzle (this machine does not have wheels) as I hover over flower beds to remove leaves or cut grass lawn edgings. In use the blower is effective and manageable. As a vacuum, suction is good, the tube length is right for a person of average height, and the weight is easily manageable especially with the substantial padded shoulder strap and adjustable front handle. It is a bit quieter than my old B&D, but still fairly noisy – the manual gives its sound pressure and volume as 82 to 89 decibels. I doubt if you could find a quieter one, though. It shreds leaves very well indeed. You need to take off the housing and clean the impeller afterwards if there is any moisture in the leaves you’re sucking up, as the interior around the impeller gets heavily caked with the broken leaf mass.

Four stars rather than five because first, the integrated power cable is the stiff plastic-coated kind that does not coil or uncoil well (as opposed to the lovely flexible rubberised cable I had with my old garden vac) and is none too long: I should prefer a stub connector on the machine and a separate flexible cable. Second, the one part that does not look as stout as the rest is the rectangular plastic locating lug on the vac and blower tube where the tube is inserted on to the blower/vacuum outlet. It’s not flimsy, but I can see myself having to take particular care not to break that off when attaching/detaching the tubes.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought a wired Q Garden QGBV2500 leaf blower a few years ago & while it was a big improvement from using a yard brush, it was still heavy, cumbersome & very noisy. Running out extension cord, moving cord around cars, walls, bushes, trees etc was annoying & time consuming.

Then I bought this gem. This is the best labour saying purchase I have ever bought.
It is light, much less noisy & no wires so very manoeuvreable. I have half the yard done in the time it would take to get the old blower ready.

    Battery duration is an issue.
I have been using it on full(ish) power clearing wet leaves for the last week or two.

Reviews that say you get 30 – 45 mins are nonsense.
You get 15 – 20 mins max so I bought a second battery.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI bought the bare model and I use the 36V 4Ah battery from my Bosch Rotak 36LI lawnmower. Please note that if you order this model with the battery, it appears that you get the 2Ah battery, which has half the run time.

I don’t know what run time I’m actually achieving because the battery hasn’t yet ran out on me but I was using this blower to clear very wet leaves and it does a great job. It’s much more powerful than I thought it would be and lack of cord makes it very easy to use. Buying the bare model also saved me some money since I didn’t need to also buy the battery.

I was expecting to always have to leave it on full power for it to be able to work well but that’s not the case at all. It’s still powerful even on the lower power settings. Very pleased with the purchase!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAnother quality garden tool from Bosch. Should have bought a leaf blower years ago but never got around to it. This will help tremendously to get the leaves off all of our pebbles, of which we have considerable amount. Slightly heavier than expected but that is due to the larger battery. I use one of their hedge trimmers too which is lighter given smaller battery.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersEasy. Uses the same battery as my lawnmower, so I was able to buy the version without a battery. I bought an Amazon ‘used’ one and it’s absolutely fine, so a very cheap way to buy a leaf blower.
Haven’t had any problems with it blowing too hard on the lowest setting. I think maybe people just need to adjust their distance from the leaves, perhaps if their previous machine was a bit weak it will be different.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery impressed with this, seems to do the job nicely even with wet leaves. My only concern is on the length of the battery power – it seems adequate but no more than that so i’d say this is a good product if you either have a moderate amount of leaves to blow or will do regularly (little but often), its going to be frustrating if you there is a lot to get through.
