    Does what it’s meant to!
I was cautious about buying one as a previous one (different make) was not very good, to the extent I gave up on it! This Bosch one is a different beast altogether. I haven’t used the ‘blower’ as I purely wanted to suck em up and mulch!
The machine itself is sturdy and, yes, the blower and vacuum attachments are plastic but they’re a thick, good quality plastic and not insubstantial. Operation is very simple and the collection bag voluminous.
So, the negativesleaves/mulch adhere to the inside of the bag, not a huge problem but worth mentioning. The vacuum attachment needs a bit of brute strength to push the parts together to assemble. If mulching a full bag it gets quite heavy.
The pictures speak for themselves though and I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a leaf vac/mulche

Well-designed, well built piece of kit for the garde
This kit is really well designed for the purpose, from the positioning of the strap, down to the orientation of the bag for vacuum, the variable power, even the location of the zip when emptying the leaves out. I’d give it five stars but for the cable (the flex is far too inflexible so in cooler weather it sticks in loops and catches anything if you aren’t careful) and the intake is just a bit too easy to block. However, these are minor issues, and while some folks may complain about swapping the blower for the vac configuration (bit of practice it takes about 60 seconds), and the length of the cable, these are all really OK. The bag is easy enough to remove (although the trick is to lift the blower so the weight of the bag pulls it off, rather than try to pull the bag away), the bag is very large, the shredding action is excellent (the cutter is metal), the blower is nice and powerful. Used for four collections over the last couple of months so still looking to see how well the motor lasts and whether any parts fail too quickly through wear and tear but looks good so far.

    Lightweight and easy to use
Came overnight, which was handy as we didn’t expect our last one to die!
It is lighter and easier to use, the downside is that it does need to be re-charged and we have a large garden.
So we have to pace ourselves and at our age that is just fine.
Would not suit a commercial gardener, but it is up to moving a large quantity of leaves.
Useful not to have a trailing cable, so we can get onto the front pavement.

    does the job
I have found this slightly heavier than i expected and even on the shortest setting, the strap is a bit long for me- i’m 5ft 5inch and 9 stone. The strap actually broke after using 3 times but a friend re-stitched it for me. It is also quickly gets clogged up when leaves are damp. However the machine has coped well with the plethora of small stones and pieces of glass found in my garden, and has made short work of the piles of leaves drifting over the fence from the woods behind my house. I’m hoping for some lovely leaf mould from this next year!

    Better design than previous brand
Bought this to replace a four year old lightly used Ryobi, which had stopped working; appeared it was susceptible to compacted leaf debris getting trapped inside and the moisture from this had seeped into the motor unit. However I’m not expecting this to be an issue on this Bosch as the leaf chamber is far better designed.
This Bosch is also less cumbersome to use and lighter too but picks up leaves just as easily, also like the rotary control switch, as its very straight forward to regulate the level of suction. Also noted the noise the machine makes noticeably changes when the bag is full, which is a help.
Only drawback is that you cannot switch from vacuum mode to leaf blower at the flick of a switch as you could with the Ryobi. More of a faff as you have to change over components on the unit, which takes a couple of minutes to achieve. Mind I bought this mainly for hoovering up leaves, so not to much of an issue in my case.
The cable is also plenty long enough to reach from the nearest power socket to the work area without needing an extension, which is an added bonus.
So if your not wanting to keep switching between modes regularly I’d recommend this Bosch, well made and easy to use.

Does exactly as it says Is slightly heavy so ensure you use shoulder strap and it is fine.
Very good suction and can be varied if using on soil or grass. Would recommend this product for removal of good quantities of leaves.

    Better than I expected!
I was very surprised and delighted when I unboxed this blower with how small and light it was compared to my old petrol blower I bought it to replace. Full power is great and easily moved wet leaves. 1/2 speed ample to blow dry leaves. Have not run it till empty so cannot guarantee it lasts that long but easily ran for 15 minutes. Would highly recommend. Our garden is of moderate size and the blower coped well.

    Robust Garden Tool
We are surrounded by trees and they all end up on our drive. Our old machine died trying to suck up damp leaves. This year there seems more than ever, we could go out each day and fill bags up. back breaking using a broom now as we get older. We decided to buy another Garden Tidy and came across Bosh GardenTidy 3000. It looked very sturdy compared with our old one and having other Bosh tools we purchased it. It was very well packaged, and easy to put together. We have used it three times and it is powerful, either blowing or sucking and shredding the leaves. Easy to clear the blades which are extremely sturdy. Bag is easy to empty. You have to change attachments when changing from Blowing to hoovering them up, but once done its easy. One hiccup on the second use the fuse blew in the lead but we have replaced it and it seems fine. We would recommend this to anyone thinking about buying one.

    Lots of powe
Compared to my last leaf blower/sucker this is like night and day. Powerful – I have to have the suction set on its lowest setting to avoid sucking up stuff I dont want to. I dont much use the blower except to blow out leaves from places the sucker cant get to.
To change between the two (blow/suck) is a little more fiddly than my previous blower which was just a switch, but only takes around 30 seconds or so and is not hard.
Having the lead can be a little awkward in comparison to a battery model, but the trade off in power makes it worth it.
I have had no jams at all – something that cant be said for my prevous model with which I spent more time jam clearing than I did leaf clearing.
The bag is pretty good and I havent had any experience with “wet-leg” that I got with my very first leaf blower.

This is my third model of leaf blower over the years and, so far, it is bloody brilliant.

    Works well. Battery life good.
I have a leaf blower already, but it is mains powered, heavy and extremely loud. You would think this means it’s great but it’s not it’s hopeless.
I decided to buy this as I’m renewing all my garden machines.
The batteries are interchangeable so this seemed logical.
My first use I cleared my 14m x 5m wet grass of leaves and 40m squared path/patio. I swapped the 2ah battery for my spare 2ah but the second one still had power left once finished.
Today I managed the same plus 40m squared driveway. The battery was used in a strimmer first then the blower.
Today the grass was dry and just cut which meant less leaves and effort but still an impressive amount done. (Filled 40l bucket)
Yes there may be better ones? But this is quieter than expected, very efficient, fairly light and compact.
Which is every thing my other one wasn’t.
I’m pleased with this. I’m pleased with the strimmer I bought at the same time. I will be buying the lawn mower early next year.
This will also give me another battery too.

    This is a tremendous produc
This is an excellent product and very good value for the money. It easily deals with leaves and garden debris and will collect a large volume of stuff before you need to empty the bag.

I have only used the suction function, not the blower, but it is far better than comparable products that I have used in the past.

You can vary the suction power using a knob under the handle, but even on a moderate power setting, the suction is sufficient to lift pretty much anything as long as it is dry. On full power it almost sucks grass up by the roots, it’s that good.

Be aware that when the machine is delivered, it comes almost completely pre-assembled for the blower function, so if you want to use the suction function instead, you will have to remove the blower fan (this is easily done) and attach the suction cone and fan.

The cable is a good length but if you have a moderately-sized or large garden, you will probably require an extension lead.

The machine is relatively heavy, so if you intend to use it for more than a few minutes at a time I would recommend putting on the shoulder strap rather than simply holding it by the handles.

Overall this does exactly what it says on the box and I have no hesitation recommending it.

Excellent leaf blower which is just starting it’s second Autumn. Apart from a largish drive and quite a few yards of brick paths which is easy work for this device to clear, we also have a lot of shingle in places, and using this blower on shingle areas works beautifully, much better than trying to use a wire rake or brush. It’s very powerful on full, only need 1 or 2 setting. It’s not quite so brilliant on grass particularly if damp or wet, it works but actually prefer a wire rake. It scrunches DRY leaves nicely.

    So far, so excelle
This is the third leaf vacuum I have owned in the nine years of living next door to a stand of sycamore trees. The last two were Bosch too, albeit they had plastic fans whilst this one has a metal one; so fingers crossed it will last longer. The assembly was reasonably simple to someone who has reasonable strength to push the tubes one into the other, although the instructions are confusing and make no mention of discarding the blower guard before proceeding. The power switch could have been better positioned for someone not double-jointed.

However, on the brilliant side is its power, it can not only effortlessly suck up the leaves, even wet ones, including large plane tree leaves, but also the sycamore seeds which the others sucked up briefly before spitting them out.

So, I’m very hopeful that this one will out perform the others ands last much longer.

his is a good piece of kit, with plenty of power for blowing and suction . Perfect for dealing with autumn leaves, which are quickly reduced to mulch sized bits.
The only negatives are 1. switching from the blower to the vacuum function is a bit of a performance. 2. operating the power switch requires some dexterity . 3. It is heavy, so not recommended for anyone without strong hands

There is power cut-off sensor if the collection bag nozzle is not fitted fully or becomes loose – did not realise this at first, so when the motor stopped suddenly I feared the worst, but all OK now.

Had an older version of this product which finally gave up the ghost earlier this year. The new one is better. I use it mainly to suck up leaves as I have nowhere to blow them too! The new nozzle shape focuses the suction, it doesn’t need to be on full power at all. The bag redesign allows easier emptying as well.
All in all a great tool for this time of year!

I love Bosch kit – it is always brilliant and well made, and this is no exception….and great value for money at the redu7ced price I got it for !! Assembling the vacuum tube was the only pain, but once assembled you never need to dismantle it again. The rest of the kit goes together really easily, and swapping between vacuum and blower is dead easy. The blower power, even on the lowest setting, is awesome – not tried it yet on full power but I can imagine !! The vacuum is just as good on low power and I did try it sucking up leaves from my lawn on full power – it almost removed the turf !!…..and it shreds the leaves into tiny bits all ready for the compost heap. No surprise to me that this kit gets top marks from a lot of review sites – it deserves it.

    It works very well.
The only fault I can find is with regard to the bag strap.
If you want put the bag over your shoulder everything is the wrong way round, and you can’t fix the strap to the handle, as illustrated?

The suction on this Garden Tidy is excellent, and the collecting bag is superior to so many. Assembly takes a few minutes, but you understand why when you see that the different functions require it. The thing I also like is the mulching blade; it is metal and shreds most items finely. The carry strap is effective. This may be more expensive option than some of the non-descript alternative you see around but on my use to date the higher price of this Bosch is worthwhile and am happy with the purchase.

I bought this as a warehouse deal. For a much lower price. I read the reviews good and bad and took my chance on what could have been some ones return. Actually no chance because there’s a 30 day guarantee. I love it, it’s easy to put together, I didn’t actually need insstructions because I was replacing a cheap Aldi one that had given up the ghost. WOW what a difference. Its powerful and it does a perfect job the suction is variable and I could suck up the dog with it, it’s that powerful. The secret is don’t try to suck up wet leaves. If you do they are going to stick its only logic. Put it together correctly because each part has its purpose. The double bag stops you getting dust blowing on your legs and the big zip and handle make it easy to empty. So if I did get someone’s return thank you very much you did me a great favour. If it was just a damaged box as it appears to be that’s great too. Either way I love it. I also already had a Bosch cordless blower for a quick fix, I keep it in the porch to blow leaves away from the door. Thank you Bosch for great garden tools

The Blower/vacuum looks big but I’m not a young man and I was surprised how light it was, I did not have to attach the sling provided, good suction and variable so you can avoid sucking stones up, you have to detach the vacuum pipe to exchange it for the blower but this is a very quick and easy job, well built and put together.

    blower capacity
This was les expensive than most, but works really well The blower will shift dry leaves and small twigs on the lowest setting, anything above this will move gravel and othe more solid loose material.
I have only given two stars for the section “drying power” as this does not as far as I can see have anything to do with what the machine is built to do!
The sucking power is reasonably good, but the bigger tube and collection bag makes for a more bulky piece of equipment, but on the whole it copes well, Again care must be taken with how leaves are hoovered where there is gravel and or small stones.
The fan is made of alloy and should stand up to some foreign bits .
My one concern is the long plastic centring finger that connects the tubes to the machine, they are flimsy and need to be treated with care!

    Powerful but heavy
The main positive is that it is very powerful with adjustable suction power. It is heavy but the strap helps. A bit complicated to assemble. To go from suction to blower requires quite a bit of changing of parts.
A very large bag. It is surprisingly tricky getting all the leaves out of the bag. There are a few places where they get trapped.
For the ability to pick up almost everything, I would recommend it.

    Great improvement on previous incarnatio
I owned the previous model for eight years until its bearing failed – a good thing really because it was an huge fiddle to use and hurt my ears. Its design was a dog’s dinner.

This new model – a leap forward. Easier to assemble, easier to ‘service’ in use, a lot less noisy. It does still block occasionally when you vacuum wet leaves but it’s easier to unblock and clean. The leaf mulcher is now metal – much better than the plastic construction on the previous model. The lead is long enough (I saw a previous review that may mislead!). Recommended. (Bosch – please send the voucher – joking…)

Over the years, I’ve had a Black & Decker / Bosch / cheap Chinese garden vacs – they’ve all got their failings but the Bosch is definitely the best. On the plus side: it’s got a big suction tube and less like to clog; the collection bag is good quality and doesn’t fall to pieces like the cheap chinese equivalent; it’s well designed. On the negative side : it’s heavy; it doesn’t have wheels; swapping between suck and blow is a faff. However, it’s head and shoulders over the opposition albeit a bit more expensive.

This replaces my last one that suddenly stopped working and couldn’t be repaired.
It works fine but the collection bag has a tie on the zip that trails on the ground. Because I’m not very tall I keep stepping on it and it opens the bag and covers me in dust. I’m going to have to remove the tie. I didn’t have this problem with my old vacuum.

Very impressed with the power of this tool.

The blower very powerful and supper effective! Great to have that power adjusting switch as it might just be too powerful in some area.

The vacuum also works very good’ super powerful and it literally handles anything without a problem.

The only downside is the weight.. it might just get a bit too heavy after 20-30 mins of work.

Overall, great tool and super powerful!

Ease of use and confidence in brand
Have always used Flymo garden vacs before. The first lasted 15 years or more with no problems but the later models are heavier and the collecting bags much more difficult to get back on. I have had the motors burn out on two in under 5 years the last in under 18 months. So having used many other Bosch products and never had problems that were not quickly resolved by their customer service team (Flymo appear to have outsourced customer service to a third party which I found impossible to get hold of!) I bought this item. So far so good. Lighter, quieter, easier to use and an extended guarantee if registered with Bosch that unlike with Flymo I have confidence will be honoured if needed.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usersvery powerful
We bought this upgraded more power model just to make sure that it was easier to pick up wet leaves as some people have said that the lower model doesn’t do it very well. This is really powerful and has blown everything off of our patio that includes all of the bits of leaf and berries that have fallen off of the shrubs.
We are really pleased with it and wish we had bought it sooner – well actually later because it was in the prime day sale but still glad we got it.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA very good machine and does what its designed to do
For a small battery operated machine I didnt expect much in terms of sheer power. However this has met and surpassed all my expectations so lets put down what it can do and cannot do.
Its good at clearing paths and moving freshly cut grass after cutting the lawn or clearing up after hedger cutting and its good at herding fallen leaves wet or dry and small tree debris after storms etc.. Its not good at moving leaf litter which has fallen and consolodated into the ground. It will move it but its not powerfull enough to move large quantities of it. If you want to do stuff like that buy a petrol leaf blower as you will be disappointed by any electric version. More power makes the battery bigger and heavier or your dragging a cable.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA compromise - but a good one
We have quite a collection of Bosch products that all use the same 18v or 36 v batteries and each one has proved to be a top-class product. Yes, we are Bosch fans!

This 36v leaf blower is, however, a bit of a compromise and, although we really do like it, if you are thinking of buying one, I think you need to know what you are getting. Compared with the class-leading power delivered by the Worx WG584E 40v leaf blower, for example, this one is noticeably less powerful; in fact, the Worx blower is like a hurricane in comparison. But does that matter? Well, in some ways, not at all; bit in some ways, well, it depends on you!

It certainly doesn’t matter in the sense that the Bosch does do exactly what it is designed to do: it clears dry leaves, and does so very effectively. But it will matter if you want a hurricane-force blower, as, if you are expecting that, you’ll feel a bit let down. But keep in mind the compromise and the laws of science: the Worx battery on full power lasts a measly 10 minutes, whereas the Bosch lasts well over half an hour.

Also, the Bosch is very attractively styled, is very compact, and is balanced so well that its weight isn’t really noticeable in the hand. Its smaller nozzle however, means that the power is directed over a smaller area compared with the wide open nozzle of the Worx model. This means it takes a bit more effort and time to do the job. The smaller shape, however, also makes the Bosch useful in more places. We use ours to blow the dust from the car before hoovering, or even to dust behind radiators and around our TV and piano.

So, it’s a compromise, but in the end, I think the Bosch will win the day for most uses and most people. We like it a lot.

    An excellent compromise.
The main plus points for me are: quietness, lightweight, adjustable power (suck and blow)
On the negative side I feel that switching between blowing and vacuuming could be simpler but hopefully this is something that I will become more proficient with. My previous tool was a Flymo which was much heavier and noisier but a simple flick of a lever changed modes.
Overall, I feel that this was an excellent purchase and like most things, a compromise but one that works really well for me.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersPowerful garden vac
Bosch Universal garden tidy 2300, item no. ending 72.
I purchased this to remove leaves, buds and small stalks from paving and broken slate of approximately 1- 4 inches in size.
This is the less powerful of the 2 newest garden vac/ blowers( the other being the 3000). I was concerned that the lower powered vac would lack power and almost purchased the more powerful item.
I chose wisely as using the variable speed control I use it on minimum for vac duties even for thicker, leathery leaves otherwise thinner pieces of broken skate and small pebbles will be drawn into the vac.
The vac is quite easy to put together although the assembly instructions aren’t the best. A shoulder strap with soft pad is included and is needed as the vac is quite heavy but after a bit of practice it becomes easier to manoeuvre. There are two different nozzles supplied; the larger diameter one for vaccing and the smaller bore one for leaf blowing. There is a very solid cast cutting wheel inside which shreds leaves and small twigs and allows far more capacity in the bag. Also, It took me a few minutes to find the ideal gap to leave between the nozzle and the ground to vac up the leaves but leave the stones behind( a few small ones did go up but didn’t seem to damage the solid impeller/ cutter) the shreddings are great as mulch or composting.
The vac is reasonably quiet in use similar to an electric mower.
I haven’t used the blower as I just needed the vac function to remove the copious amount of leaves that my neighbours trees generously share !
I am very pleased with this blower which easily does what I required.

    Great garden vac!
Great garden vac (much better than my previous one – A cheap one made by a company Id never heard of). Easy to assembly, seems well made with a decent quality collection bag (my last one fell to bits). Adjustable suction power is also a great feature. I have a lot of pea shingle borders in my garden which I usually have to rake, or pickup leaves by hand to stop the shingle from getting sucked up & damaging the vac. This Bosch vac with variable suction power now lets me collect leaves etc over the shingle without any real issue. My previous garden vac would also regularly block during collection – This Bosch one did not block up once when I used it last week. Its fairly quiet to use and is comfortable (with a decent shoulder strap). I’m really pleased I bought this item. Its made tidying up my garden much easier & quicker.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSo glad we bought this!
We already have one of these, which we bought about 2 years ago. It is very easy to handle and does a very good job of clearing leaves etc. from drive, slabs etc. The battery on full power lasts about 20 minutes. We considered getting another battery to have ready to use, but decided that for the difference in price we could have another blower, so that we can both work on the tasks at the same time! We are both in our 70’s, so heavy machinery and tools are not for us – this is ideal. We do have a large garden, so need all the help we can get..

This machine is a little more expensive than others, however I think it is probably worth the extra money. As with all the Bosch machines the vacuum function is a bit of a faff to put together and you can’t switch from vacuum to blow quickly. However having bought this to replace one of the cheaper ones it is is much better built and feels a little lighter than older models. The big USP is the metal blade which is much better than the plastic one of other models. If you use the vacuum mode a lot this would make it a worthwhile purchase. If all you want is a leaf blower there are cheaper ways to do that.

    Good produc
The garden tidy is a good product, though possibly a bit fiddly to re-assemble and then disassemble for storage. When shredding leaf matter does indeed seem to stick to the impeller. However, during motor operation it will fly off the impeller into the bag, hence this is not a problem — just remember to clean the impeller when you have completely finished using the garden tidy. As is to be reasonably expected, I would advise against sticking the nozzle into a mound of dead leaves (irrespective of whether they are dry, damp or wet), as that will result in blockages if using the shredding/suction action. When faced with a mound of leaves I simply sweep the nozzle at the edge and allow leaves to be gradually drawn up. No problem!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWouldn’t want to be without one now
I regret not buying a leaf blower before this autumn, as trying to clear up the fallen leaves with a rake has been hard work, especially when they have landed on gravel. With trees and shrubs that shed their leaves over a period of several weeks, it’s not a job you can leave until the last one has dropped. The ones at the bottom will get wet and go mouldy and a rotten job becomes a lot worse.

One of the benefits of waiting so long has been the improvement in battery technology. I didn’t want a corded leaf blower and having a heavy battery that takes forever to charge and lasts five minutes doesn’t sound like fun. This Bosch blower comes with a 36 Volt 2.0 Amp Lithium-Ion battery along with a charger and replacement/additional batteries seem easy to come by, although not cheap. You can buy batteries with a higher Amperage, but these will be bigger and heavier. The batteries have a simple indicator which shows the remaining charge and they slot easily into the charger. Once the battery is fully charged, you’re ready to go.

Using the leaf blower couldn’t be simpler. Assembly is just a matter of attaching the nozzle and sliding the battery into place. Once that’s done it’s a single wheel to switch the blower on and increase/decrease the speed. The longer you have it on a higher setting, the sooner your battery will run down though.

In use, this Bosch leaf blower is light and manoeuvrable. The position of the wheel to increase/decrease speed is well placed under the thumb, so you feel like you have a lot of control over the power when you need it. The trickiest bit is trying to chase the leaves to get them where you want them to be, this can be made even trickier if the wind is blowing against you. It’s hard to say how long the battery lasts from fully charged, but I’d roughly expect to be able to use it for a couple of 20-25 minute sessions before having to recharge it again.

As a said at the start of this review, I regret not buying a leaf blower sooner – but I’m delighted with this one and for general home use would happily recommend it due to its lightness, ease of use and good battery life.

    The blower is rubbish.
This is the second I have had and the previous did good service for many years. There are a number of improvements in the design, but the one change that is worse is the blower. My old machine would blow the leaves all over the garden, and even when stuck down on the pavement. This one doesn’t move a single leaf – I doubt if it would blow out a candle. It is fortunate that the vast majority of its use is in sucking up leaves, for which it is excellent.

The item exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with the vacuum performance, particularly in easily sucking up lots of fallen leaves on gravel. Changing from vac to blow functions is a bit of a chore but a small negative compared to the positives. The way that it shreds the leaves is especially helpful as it reduces the number of times you need to empty the bag whilst using and gives a head start for composting. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering buying.

    Effective leaf collection and shredding
A sturdy and easy to use tool that can be used as a leaf blower, but more usefully as a vacuum and shredder allowing leaves to be collected and shredded for mulching. The shredder does get blocked by wet leaves and twigs sometimes, so easiest to use in drier conditions. Altogether a very useful and cost effective garden tool – would recommend.
