I bought this as I was tire of underperforming traditional fans. This is incredible. A little louder than most fans but you soon get used to it. Mine does suffer from a vibration that may be a production defect so don’t think it will last long.

What’s surprising is that due to the angle of the blower. If placed at the foot of the bed with an over hanging duvet it drives cool air under the cover producing a cool cushion of air you can relax under.

Really good item for the price – simple and effective. It’s worth noting angles are achieved by tipping whole fan rather than adjustable feet. I have positioned on a shelf about 1 meter infront of handlebars. Been using it on lowest setting while flat was cold, but yesterday cranked upto medium as I was starting to sweat & drip on my bike 🙁

Bought for my indor cycling. Can’t say anything wrong after 1 month of using. Very quiet, my is setup quite close to me so I only using first level of speed.

Very good fan fore the money

Delighted to pick up this air mover fan at a discounted price. Works really well for indoor cycling applications: the remote control straps easily to your stem for immediate increase or decrease of wind power. For this sweaty middle-aged guy it is plenty powerful enough. Delighted!

This fan is extremely well made and offers a powerful blast of air to keep you cool whilst exercising. The remote control is handy – no more stopping to change fan settings. I’d definitely recommend it .

I am using it with a cycle trainer and it is a huge improvement over the desk fan I was using, it produces a good stream of air that is quite focussed so it takes a bit of experimentation to optimise the position. The remote is really handy, I keep the fan OFF for the first 5 minutes to warm up fully then I turn it ON.
My noise cancelling earbuds render it silent but be aware the noise might get a bit wearing without noise cancelling.
    Seems well built.

    Excellent workout fa

Remote control fan is absolutely great for peloton and other home exercises. I start in the early morning when I don’t want a fan on because it’s cold, but after 10 minutes I need that fan! Having the remote control mounted on the peloton bike handlebar means that I don’t have to dismount, I can start it and adjust the speed as necessary.
Fan can be positioned to blow along the ground (probably good for drying concrete), 45 degrees (how I use it) and 90 degrees (blows up your nose but I’m sure it’s good for something) – and of course you can make minor adjustments with household objects like books or rug.
Very powerful fan, lowers my heart rate which is excellent for exercise, and fairly quiet. It might be better if there were more differences in speed, eg top speed is fantastic but I’d like bottom speed to be a bit gentle

Really good fan unfortunately the remote needs to be reset now and then
I have had a month now and needed to reset twice. At first I thought it was the battery so took apart to find out which one, need a really small screw driver for this, decided to order replacement batteries just in case. The manual does suggest battery change or a new remote which is about 20 so gone for the cheaper option 10 batteries for 10.

Remote can be a bit of a pai

With a bit of fettling to get the correct positioning, this thing does a great job of keeping you cool whilst on the indoor trainer.

In fact it is so powerful that at the beginning of your ride it’s almost too cold. Though that doesn’t usually last for long!

Definitely recommended as an alternative to the Wahoo Headwind at half the price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf you’re looking for a fan for your turbo trainer set up definitley consider this of within your budget! I use a Wahoo Kickr and soon realised I need a fan to provide cooling during rides! Even in the winter months!! The wahoo fan seems mega for what is effectively a fan! So I looked at alternatives and found this one! The fact this has a remote sold it to me! Clip it to your handlebar and position the fan and you can control the fan during the ride without smart plugs or spending ‘s. The fan has 3 settings also! Very powerful on the lowest setting without sounding like a jet taking off!! Ideal for those summer months too as the remote can be taken out of the holder/strap.

This van be wall mounted but you would need to be a bit creative as no official mounting points. However using L shaped brackets you could hanging it off the 2 wider top feet as pictured.

In a nutshell the only fan you would need for a pain Cave and turbo trainer set up! Buy with confidence!

    Turbo trainer life saver!

The airflow is no different compared to my Wahoo Headwind, which costs twice the money. Also, the remote control is 100x more straightforward than the Wahoo app. I highly recommend this fan/blower for Zwifting.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGot it in today, tried it on a Zwift ride and all I can say is: I am amazed. I’m on a training plan riding almost every day since 5 weeks, using a little Honeywell fan. That one was fine, until I got this. This actually keeps me cool, and my heart rate data showed slightly lower bpm’s while cycling on the same power output in zone 3. On the lower zones, I can see my heart rate dropping slightly quicker, so I have more time to recover.

The remote works great, I mounted it on the spacers under my stem so it is within reach, but not in the way when I change the way I hold my handlebars. Power cord is long enough as well, and I’d say it’s only slightly bigger than my Honeywell fan.

Of course, not sure how this device will last on the long term, but it’s promising, and it just made my indoor rides – in a relatively small room – a lot more enjoyable.

I purchased this based solely on the reviews and haven’t been disappointed. Usually I will wait a period of time before reviewing a product to work out the kinks and any longer term problems.

This However is so good I couldn’t wait. The easy of use is excellent. The wind it produces is fantastic and as anyone who uses and indoor trainer and Zwift will know a good breeze is very important

The remote on the handlebar is easy to fit and easy to use. All this at this price, just superb.

    Thank you

Use this fan, when I’m on my turbo (indoor bike).
First setting is like the breeze on your face, going down hill.
Second setting, going down a steeper hill.
If the third setting (highest), was a headwind, I’d turn around and go home.
    Overall, best fan I’ve bought.

Was considering this and a Wahoo Headwind. Having read reviews on both I decided to save myself some cash and bought the Cardio54. Even at high speed it is relatively quiet and it does a great job of blasting air at you! The remote is super easy to use and saves messing around with yet another phone App. It has a small footprint too, so would suit if you have limited space but want some heavyweight cooling.

    Would definitely recommend.

Put very simply, this thing could blow the barnacles off a ship at 20 paces!
Ok a slight exaggeration, but it is very powerful for such a compact unit.

I have it about a foot and a half in front of my indoor bike trainer, and the 45 degree angle is pretty much perfect to blow around my body and face

It also has two other orientations, starting at 0 degrees (blowing along the floor – good for drying out wet carpet) and 90 degrees (blowing straight up)
45 degrees will almost certainly be the main use

The remote is very easy to use.. literally 4 buttons.
    On/Off, 1,2,3 power settings
Took no time at all to get it plugged in, placed in front of my bike, fix the remote to my bars and set it off going.

In terms of power, 1 is strong…. 3 is likely too much unless you move it further away
    Really impressed overall.

I marked it down a point on VFM because a cool hundo is a lot of money for anything these days, but if you’re an indoor training enthusiast, I’m sure you cannot go wrong with this blower and it’s worth stretching the extra

Excellent piece of kit well suited to indoor rowing, cycling or running. Prob not as useful for dancing etc because the beam is fairly tight. Not too noisy and remote control is easy to mount on the apparatus. The remote control buttons are large and easy to use with sweaty fingers -just not terribly logically arranged. Are they worth buying? Well I have bought 3 so they must be.

The remote control is a godsend, get yourself up to temperature and then switch on the fan. I find that speed 1 is enough to keep me cool. No doubt I will be trying out 2 & 3 during the summer months.

I bought one as a budget version of a well known indoor trainer specific fan. This works well provided the fan direction is set up right, as it has a narrow operating window. Price is competitive for what it is; anything indoor training marketed will be marked up.

  40. Julie Vadnal says:

The product does what it says on the tin very well and at a fraction of the price of some well known competitors. I use it for indoor cycling training and racing indoors. Even the first setting absolutely blasts air at you. Another fantastic addition is a remote control on a wrist type strap. I have this on my handlebar and it makes for really easy and convenient control of the fan setting. Very happy with my purchase.

Really easy to use with the supplied remote. Comprehensive manual includes how to pair a new remote. Good strong airflow helps keep the sweat at bay. Construction seems robust. I’ve got quite a small space so have to raise the fan on a very small stool to get it just right. Fan remote is the selling feature here it allows warm up at lower settings then you can ramp up without getting off the bike. But you pay a premium vs a similar fan without the remote.

I use this when training on my Turbo trainer.
If the ambient is under 10 degrees Celcius, the fan is too good, even on speed setting 1.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis thing is like a personal mini hurricane. It completely transformed my indoor work out.

You can’t compare it to a desk or a pedestal fan. It actually feels like you’re riding with a wonderful (strong) breeze and I just finished an hours ride and a 1,000m climb without a pool of sweat and loads of energy left.

I’m looking forward to seeing how it will impact my times now I’m not putting so much energy into generating so much wasted heat.

At half the price of the Kickr headwind it does everything that you need it too, albeit:
    – it’s not as good looking and
    – it is just a vacmaster with a remote control and not much thought has been given to its design

If they were going to actually design this for its said purpose, it would probably have:
    – a square or more vertical air outlet instead of horizontal one
    – 4 speed settings with one a bit lower than the lowest now.
    – a few different tilt options instead of just flat, 45 degrees and vertical. The one missing is something at 22.5 degrees if you want to place it on a desk in front of you.
    – a bit of love to the design to make it look a bit more aesthetically pleasing (it kind of looks like a large mechanical snail under my desk albeit it is small for what it does and very portable)

All that being said, it’s totally brilliant and I’m not going to give it away or send it back!

Mine is at 45 degrees on the floor directly in front of the bike (I had to move my makeshift table at handlebar height to one side side so it didn’t block the wind) and it hits my head and chest pretty much spot on, although here it would have been nice to have had more vertical coverage.

Reality is that presently, I can’t see anything else that works as well as this for the price and it hands down beats 2-3 well positioned pedestal fans.

In summary: Fans will produce some air movement, this thing creates wind!

Edit: I’m now averaging 10-15% higher FTP with the impact being seen in a reduced
time on a 1,000m climb (alpe du zwift) from 1hr6 to 56.5mins and 8th on the 30 day leaderboard because of this thing. No pool of sweat and much quicker recovery.

4.5 stars for a superb rock solid produc

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFor years now I’ve been using a big fan for my Zwift and weights workouts and as someone who sweats a LOT, I’ve always needed two fans in the summer. It’s always been a pain in the winter months though as I’ve had to wait until warmed up, then get off the bike to put the fan on. I no longer have that issue.

The remote control on this fan makes it worth the extra money and the power is very good. The lowest level is on a par to the max level on my previous fan and the highest level is enough to keep anyone cool even in the sweatiest conditions.

I was unsure on this due to the cost but it’s been the best purchase I’ve made this winter, anyone who rides a turbo, uses treadmills or even has a warm home gym, this is definitely the fan for you.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIf you ride/run indoors in any shape or form buy this!! I have tried (friends) large expensive stand fans, decent mini clip fans right by my head and it’s not until you try something like this you realise what you need for indoor cycling/running is a very specific direct headwind.
The wahoo version is twice the price – and arguable twice as pretty – but does the same job. For this in the know that are now saying the wahoo Varys with you heart rate or pace – this is true but when you got inside it doesn’t matter if you heart rate or speed has dropped you just don’t cool as quick so you need a constant strong blast of cool air.
The remote gives the control of on/off and speed you need and works seamlessly. It has a few different resting angles to give you half a chance at getting the air in just the right direction but this has a wide vertical spread – head to stomach from 1.5m away I’d say and is very powerful! Best 100 I’ve spent for my indoor exercise

    Positives:
The power levels are perfect for indoor cycle training,
It’s much quieter than any other fan I’ve used, given the power on the top setting it’s very reasonable,
The remote is straight forward and easy to use, and the strap is quite robust,
For the price I couldn’t be happier, wish I’d bought this earlier, instead of wasting money on cheaper and poorer alternatives.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is the best fan I have had for indoor cycling on the turbo. The remote control is a great addition.
I start my ride, warm up then switch it on to one, then 2 when making an effort. I tried setting 3 but not needed it yet during a workout. I kept the box as it makes a handy stand for the fan to sit on and I find it’s an ideal height and have it just to the side at 2 o-clock position which works well for me. I have tried other fans but none have been as good as this one,and wish I had found it sooner as would have saved me money in the long run.If you are looking at a few fans don’t be put off by the price of this because it is that good.

The handlebar mounted remote control lets you adjust the fan speed (3 speeds) according to your needs. No need to get off the bike like my last fan. Sure it doesn’t have the bluetooth/Zwift integration of the Kickr Wind, but it is half the price and to be honest, is all you really need anyway – a fan to blow air you can adjust when you are hot.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s a chunk of money for a fan, but it feels like a beast, blows LOTS of air, and the remote makes it really easy to use when your riding etc – great for exercise as the air flow is quite focused, and gets more focused in distribution as the speed goes up.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersQuality product and an affordable alternative to the Kickr floor mounted fan. I use this with my Wattbike. Very good quality, 3 noticeable settings. Already recommended to my friends.

Great bit of kit. Bought direct as there was a discount code however my review would be that it’s very powerful, quiet and perfect for indoor training. The bar mounted remote is easy to use. Easy to dial in the direction of flow
