Great for the workshop and also whilst working on site. No problems handling building waste, plaster blobs, tile adhesive and wood splinters. Strong bag. The synchronised vacuum is so nifty doubles as an extension cord on tough building sites.

It arrived quickly and I used it for the first time today because the weather has been attrotious and the heavy rain has knocked a lot of leaves off the trees and alsorts of dirt on the patio, so I put it together and it was so easy to do,
so off to hoover and it was so easy the brush, it has wheels on the back of it making it glide a cross the rough finished slabs. I sent one back because it had no wheels on the brush and it was horse work to push it forwards and backwards and the blower blow the tube off, so frustrating. This one was so easy and powerful to pick up the leaves I was finished in no time at all, I would highly recommend it for the garden I am so impressed and I will be telling all my friends who are are getting on a bit and find it hard to sweep the garden.

Took a while to decide to buy this vac. I’ve had a Henry for years which sadly died and the new Henry’s are not as powerful. I purchased this mostly for my workshop. It’s got tremendous suction power and is brilliant for the D.I.Y jobs. Picks up anything that will fit in the tube. The only thing that I can fault with this vac is the cable could do with being longer and the storage of the cable is a bit awkward but I can live with that because it’s a fantastic machine

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have been checking out this product for months. I was concerned about some reviews however I took the plunge. It is excellent, the suction provides exactly what I wanted. The PTO works brilliantly, easy to put together. The only thing I would say is the PTO attachment could do with having varying sizes as the attachment does not fit all my power tools but that is not a major issue. Highly recommend and pleased I went for this model.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent hoover for the money, quiet compared to my old one, haven’t used the accessory plug yet, switch is big soft and at just the right height, love the attachments and can also use the reduction hose to use my old extended hose from my previous hoover. Hope it lasts as long, but a pleasure to use.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this as birthday present for my husband. He loves versatility of this vacuum cleaner. It is perfect to use in the garage, workshop or to clean the cars. It has very decent suction power and good amount of attachments. Very well made of what seems to be good quality materials. My husband is very happy,he didn’t know he needed one until he got one and couldn’t be happier.

This is a great workshop vacuum cleaner. Fits perfectly to my router and Random Orbital Sander using the power tool power switch setting. It holds its power better than my other shop vac, and am so impressed with it I bought a 2nd one for my dad for his workshop. I haven’t used the wet function on it yet, but it does everything I need of it and its used practically every day! Great value for money!

Have had this item for a good few weeks now.So far have only used it on dry mode.Easy to use, well made and really good suction power. The function where a power tool plugged into the vac switches the vac on when you start the power tool is really useful.I would have preferred one long extension rather than two short ones which you have to jam together but that is a minor point.Am very pleased with the item and it is a very good vac.

Brought this to replace my old Mccallister vacuum which blew up. This is loads better for vacuuming. The only thing which I would note is that if using the pto, when drilling holes in wall the vacuum doesn’t kick in straight away, so better to turn vacuum on first.

I was looking for a replacement vacuum for my garage and looked at several similar machines. I am so pleased with this. It covers all the bases. I can clean the pond with it. It’s great for the car too. I made a ling crevis tool to fit it out of some small gutter pipe. It’s great in the garage I have adapted the connectors for all of my power tools too. Not perfect but works a treat. I run it bagless but wrap the filter in a muslin cloth to take some of the debris. I can then wash it clean.

Great workshop and DIY vacuum. Things I liked included the metal tubes for the floor cleaner and the “smart” socket outlet for drills, sanders, etc. I didn’t realise it had this feature when I bought it. There’s a socket outlet on the side of the unit for you to plug in a power tool. If you throw the power switch to the left, the vacuum comes on as normal. If you switch it to the right, nothing happens until you run the power tool that you’ve attached. Then the vacuum starts automatically and runs until about 4 seconds after you’ve switched off the power tool. Great for collecting dust, etc.
The dust bag holds a lot of debris and suction is maintained a long time. The floor tool could be more robust but overall great value for money.

This is almost perfect the one small thing that lets it down but I still stayed with the 5*.
There is a hook clip that holds the power cable tidy. Plastic is just not strong enough, needs a rethink but considering the rubbish others are selling this is a small niggle. Will use it differently and secure the wire other ways

    Easy to put together
All works as is the pto is awesome
Has a overrun of a few seconds when you release the power tool trigger, just what I wanted
Has a good storage for the tools on the ends of the legs save loosing them
Suction is more than adequate for clearing cuttings. The hose pipe is longer than I thought ….bonus
And the adapter’s all fit my various power tools.
And it can hover the floor and great for the car

    Would recommend

For those complaining about suction power-send it back, or make sure you have it on suck not blow.
It literally sucks up everything that comes near the nozzle, wood chips. Iron filings, used paper hand towels, leaves.
I found this to be lightweight for the size and an absolute bargain.

A good product for the money.
Good suction and not overly noisy.

One criticism is the tools and hose edges have quite sharp edges.

I was very happily surprised with the build quality of this machine, Works well – excellent suction and not too noisy. Suction tube attaches easily to machine with a twist lock action which means you can pull the machine along (gently) without the tube detaching. I paid 10 more than this price so at this money its a bargain. If it last as long as my old Aquavac it only going to cost me 2 per year! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I bought this after my Mum’s house got flooded. On use I could not believe how good it is as a water pump! I used the suction to unblock the sink that had caused the flood too (some hazelnuts had fallen down the trap and become lodged). Yesterday I switched filters and used it in the garage to clean up after a rat infestation. Absolutely amazing! As I was using it I could not stop singing it’s praises. Is that it? No! You can even join your power tool of choice to it and it will suck all the debris up as it is created! Super good suction, very easy to empty. Screwing in the feet and handle when it arrives is a doddle and switching from water filter to HEPA filter is a breeze. One of my best purchases of all time. I’d buy another tomorrow and highly recommend. If I have to find an issue it could be that the plastic attachments feel less sturdy than I’d have expected (that really is splitting hairs), and that the two units that I have had both had dents in the stainless steel tub. I’m not fussed about such things though so a high 9/10 from me.

Absolutely brilliant great suction does everything it’s supposed we have been using it whilst do building work and works well with power tools for collecting dust, if you plug in the power tool to the socket on the hoover and attach the dust collector it works when you switch on the power tool.
    I would highly recommend it.

Almost as good a similar one I used when working in car body shops. Only thing letting it down is the hoover doesn’t auto switch on when using a sander etc. plugged in to the socket. Not used this for wet work yet, but it isn’t what I bought it for. Probably would work fine in most domestic settings now doubt.

Edit: tools plugged in now work and switch on the hover, I think you need to give it a few more seconds to detect the current change before it will turn on the hoover.

I was delighted to receive this wet and dry vacuum cleaner promptly delivered on the day it was expected.

It was easy to assemble and sucked up dust, cat hair, paper and cardboard from boxes that my cat had shredded as she uses them as scratching posts. It comes with a good selection of tools and adaptors, has a mains socket to power electric hand tools while using the cleaner to suck up the sawdust etc produced. Having a wide hose and extension tubes it removes items that clog my other vacuum cleaner which is an upright one and it has better suction than a small cylinder cleaner I also have.

I have not used the cleaner in its” Wet” function yet but if it is as good as the Dry One then I will be well satisfied.

I didn’t find this cleaner to be lightweight but that is not a big problem as it comes wih castors.

I you want a well powered and versitile vacuum cleaner at a reasonable price I recommend this one.

I brought this product over 6 months ago and since then it has been in regular active service in my workshop.

I use it both as a standard hoover as well as for attaching to various power tools such as a table saw, router, chop saw, rotary sander, etc. For the sander and router I connect to the 13A socket on the hoover itself and the hoover switches on and off with the power tool automatically.

It performs brilliantly and has excellent suction power. I do also use as a blower on occasions and it works just as well.

Was laid in bed ill trawling Amazon warehouse to pass the time when I came across this. Customer return, like new, 23. For the cost of a takeaway,(which is probably what made ill,) I’ll have a a punt I thought. I was dubious that for the price, some disappointing surprise was on it’s way. Next day, by the power of Amazon and the under appreciated folks who cart the stuff to our doorsteps, there it was in all it’s clearly unused, open box, silvery spleander. Still dubious, I had a good look around it and went to plug it in. Oh no! it won’t go in the socket, one of the plug pins in is out of line! Taking longer to get a pair of pliers than it took to straighten the thing, up she fired! Well, I’ve frequently seen on the back of vans the phrase ” I wish my wife was as dirty as this van” but without putting too fine a point on it, in my mind the same thing could be said for the suction on this thing! What a machine for the weekend workshop warrior like myself! There really is nothing not to love about it. Not too big but with a good capacity. All the attachments work excellently. The soft brush makes a great workshop duster, there’s plenty of hose, plenty of cable and the wand is full length but comes in three parts so can be shortened for the modest summer house workshop like mine. The blow function will send your toupe over the neighbours fence thus my table saw has never been cleaner( after a dust storm ensued). It has a three gradient tool attachment that fair enough doesn’t fit all my tools but that’s what gaffer tape is for. It works just fine for tool dust extraction. The tool bypass function is a not having to press two switches godsend. As an indication of it’s power, I was merrily giving the workshop a first and full spring clean, thinking to myself, I’d happily pay the hundred sheets for this beauty when suddenly it stopped. Thinking it was a case of me and my big mouth, I then noticed whilst brush dusting the sockets, it had partially sucked the plug out of the wall! Honestly, if you you need an all round, hobbyist dust extractor and general cleaner buy this thing. I haven’t tried it’s ability to suck up liquids yet but I’m half tempted to wet myself just so I can give it a go.

Massively impressed by this Vacmaster unit.
30 litre capacity, power take off, onboard storage of tools. What is not to like?
I read with interest some of the poorer reviews and was doubtful that some customers had assembled the vac correctly. The suction is excellent and puts some higher end (and higher priced) vacuums to shame. I have been using mine predominantly in the workshop as a standalone Shop vac, utilising the very useful power take off (PTO) function which synchronised the operation of the vacuum as you have started the tool which is plugged in to the PTO.
No cons, but if the manufacturer is watching, if you threw in a couple more dust bags and added a small vacuum head to supplement the crevice tool and round brush, it would be the icing on the cake.
The replacement dustbags appear to be a little pricey for what they are, but I’m sure there are plenty of cheaper copies that can be sourced.
All in all I am happy to give a five star rating for the vacuum.

    Super value shop vac

    A fantastic vacuum!
In the process of renovating our house, and there is a lot of dirt, dust, debris, cement, brick, sawdust, plaster, nails, screws etc. all over.

This vacuums them all up without any issues at all. It is a bit cumbersome to move around, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

Haven’t used the wet function yet, but have used it sync to various power tools to provide power and suction via adapters, and again, it works really well.

I hate buying products that don’t work as advertised so I am delighted to say that this isn’t one of them
I bought this as an alternative to buying a sump pump to empty my oil tank bund that always fills with rainwater
all the negative reviews of poor suction are unjustified this cleaner has plenty of suction
it easily emptied the sump along with all the leaves grit and slime and emptied it dry and far better than a sump pump could
the second reason I bought it is to clean my gutters
I am fed up using ladders gloves and a bucket for this task

I had had a wet & dry vac for over 20 years. It did all I wanted. The inevitable happed and it broke so looked for a new one. The Vacmaster wet & dry was the one I opted for, and I wasn’t disappointed. Very pleased with it, though I have not tried the “Wet” bit yet. I have used it with (stops all dust from being blown out of the back) and without a dust bag ( good for the larger rubble), If I have an issue with anything it would be the suction pipe. It feels like a cheap plastic pipe and, if it gets stood on or something heavy dropped on it, feels like it would splinter.

Looks a really nice piece of kit, much nicer than my Karcher WD2. Disappointed however as it arrived with two dents already in it (nozzle and main body). Love the power through function that switches the suction on when using power tool. Just begrudge paying full price for a damaged when new item! This is very mild steel, so will likely dent really easy if using it for trade use. Mine is only domestically used.

Everything except the footplate works great. The metal pipes plus footplate reduce the suction to practically zero !!…couldnt be any worse. But remove them and its great. Particularly like the function that attaches directly to dust making tools…reduces the dust about 95%..just what we needed it for, as building an extension. Great pic up of large bits etc. But the footplate and issue does need a rethink. Not used it for wet suction ye

Really good price. Bought to clean our loft and did a good job. Light enough to lift through loft hatch and nice long hose and tubing made the job relatively easy. Also used to clear garage of wood shavings etc. Really quite powerful. The filter does get very caked and needs gentle clearing. Haven’t used it with power tools yet but it looks like it will be good at that and the addition of the socket on the machine for this is good idea. only had it for a month so can’t comment on longevity but looks well made.

Read many reviews before purchasing this one for my outdoor woodworking shed. I was looking for a decent vac within a budget of 150 and some of the others like Record, Rutlands, SIP, Clarks and lumberjack were on my short-list.

I purchased this as it was better priced with power take-off (a great feature especially when you’re working with power tools), blower function and 1500W powerful motor. The suction does vary on material and weight but if you keep the filters clean (using a blower) it should do the job. For any woodworker, this is a well priced, decent specs vac albeit a bit loud but then I use ear protector anyway when working with power tools.

Overall pleased with the performance, will use it with cyclone and sawdust bin to reduce the amount of material gets to the vacuum in the first place.

This Vax is brilliant both wet and dry. We use it so much that another was purchased so keeping one for dry and the other for wet. It’s mainly used in the workshop but just as brilliant in the house. Really good buy.

I needed a vacuum cleaner for general garage and DIY purposes. My previous plastic-bodied Karcher had broken after a few years service so wanted something more substantial. This Vacmaster has been great. Metal body, long hose, good suction, bagless (although it does come with a bag), and easy to manoeuvre. Some previous comments from other buyers have included comments about noise – I haven’t found it any noisier than my other vacuum cleaners. It’s been ideal for what I need.

Bought for garage workshop. I use it hooked up to my sliding mitre saw, table saw, planer and sander. All work just fine using the power take off socket. Start the machine and the vacuum starts up automatically. I use it to clear up saw dust and shavings once again with no problem.
    Great bit of kit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWanted a hoover for the garage, car, DIY tasks etc. Never liked Henry hoovers (or Numatic/Henrietta etc) as they just seem heavy and I have never thought suction was decent on them.

The Vacmaster is brilliant for my needs, powerful suction, plenty of accessories shipped with it (and more available to buy) and lighter than my Dad’s Henry that I borrowed constantly. PTO socket feature is great, and I like how it keeps hoover running for a few seconds after powertool trigger is released to clean the tube out. I also like how there are plenty of storage points for the accessories. I haven’t tried the wet function feature of the hoover yet, so I will leave at four stars until I try this function.

I would say the only thing that would improve this product was if they had a dummy socket that you could put the plug in after wrapping up the power lead as the velcro fastener is a bit flimsy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis unit is perfect for my workshop. Easily assembled it has great mobility and suction power, more than enough to cope with my sawdust laden workshop!. I looked t the reviews that said the suction wasn’t great and I fail to see how that is the case unless they have not closed the vent on the handle. It is light and easy to manage. Not used the wet facility yet but I’m sure it will be fine. Cannot recommend this product highly enough for the workshop environment.

Easy to assemble. Only used as a dry vac but worked very well in garage.

Impressed with this vac. I’d read reviews suggesting it sounds like a jet taking off, but I reckon it’s a reasonable level.
Best bit is the Power II option, where the power tool plugs in and runs the vac on/off. Handy!

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersExcellent piece of kit.

Having had the benefit of a basic education (it WAS a comprehensive school so I emphasise the term “basic”), I was able to read the manual and understand how this machine works. In particular I was able to discern the two operating modes; i.e. Mode I – vacuum cleaning and Mode II – start synchronised with power tool and was also able to understand that the port which under normal operation is the exhaust from the machine may also be used as a blower by attachment of the hose to that port.

My school also taught me how to use a screwdriver which came in very useful when assembling the machine.

It is of a sturdy design with a metal drum body which should not split easily like some of the plastic machines available. The suction tubes are also metal and must weigh several ounces each.

It is a powerful piece of kit. If anything it is too powerful as it sucks up pretty much anything in its way regardless of the size which can cause the suction tubes to become blocked.

This is nothing to do with EU regulations, the vacuum just isn’t as powerful as the wattage suggests. However, it’s a decent shop vac that holds a LOT of dust – though not in the bag, which quickly becomes unusable given the fact that it’s wrapped around the filter in the centre and can’t really expand. I didn’t find the parts particularly flimsy as others have claimed, it seems fairly sturdy for the price. I can connect the hose to a number of tools without adaptors, including a bosch jigsaw and titan track saw off the top of my head, plus it comes with a useful adaptor for other sizes. Not bad overall, quite happy.

Big beast. Looks like a beer keg with a suction hose attached.
Will run bagless. Comes with one free bag if you don’t trust it.

Haven’t tested the water sucking feature yet, but from what I’ve seen so far, it’ll probably be pretty good at that too.
    Bargain for the price.

Excellent quality product suitable for industrial use. We are using in a dusty warehouse and gas made a big difference.

I have a very small woodworking area in my shed and was after a hoover that would keep it clean, mobile and could also be used elsewhere.

I’ve only had the Vacmaster for a short time, but it is excellent.

    Plus Points
o Accessories can be stored on the unit itself
    o Powercord is long
    o Hose is long
    o Powerful suction
    o Light

Some have commented that it is loud, however, I don’t find it too loud.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersWell this thing has more suction than a toothless lady of the night! It’s hard to move about like all other Hoover’s of this type but was a million times better in the car than the Dyson or the shark that I’ve owned. Added benefit that it sucks wet stuff up, plus can clear dirt or gravel or leaves from outside. Great bit of kit well worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis is the best shop-vac I have ever used. The suction is amazing and even though I am using it with a cyclone, the suction remains powerful. I shall be creating a junction so that I can divert the suction to various different woodwork machines without worrying about power drop.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was worried that the suction wouldn’t be as powerful as stated but was very surprised and happy. It’s very easy to move about and light.

The only downside is that if not using a head and not fully connected to the floor there is a droning noise but ear plugs would help this.

Needed a vacuum cleaner with good suction power for the pet hair and this product is perfect it is certainly good value for money and the fact you can use it on a wet floor is perfect. Putting it together was a breeze and it’s not too noisy either. I love everything about it and know I’ve found that perfect vacuum at a reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersToo early to make a call on durability but the vacuum seems very sturdy and good quality. I haven’t used the wet vac function yet. Only downside is the vacuum is very loud and it oly comes with a single dust bag. No instructions on where to buy any more and they do not sell them on Amazon. After contacting the seller I was informed the have to be purchased direct from their website but they are out of stock and do not know when they will have anymore. Very inconvenient.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usershas some serious suction power, so far i have used mainly to remove water out of a leaky car which it does admirably. It is loud but as i use it mainly out the garage its not a problem to me . Too early to pass comment on durability of the accessories.
