Light and easy to use, battery life good, would still get tangled with hair if used solely so we tend to try and remove pet and human hair manually regularly as well
Very manouverable .
I’m so pleased with my Vax. It certainly makes life a lot easier. I can’t say about stairs as I live in a ground floor flat. Nice not to be dragging a cord everywhere. It has good suction and is fairly light weight. I use it every day now.
Battery doesn't hold charge
This is a very good vacuum and would have had 5 stars except for the battery I have a one bed flat yet struggle to vacuum it as battery seems to run out in less than 10 minutes.
Does the job, decent value
Can vacuum quite a large surface area on one charge and is very agile. A little top heavy for older people to use. Gets into nooks and under furniture. Quite good value.
Light and portable
After using my daughter’s Dyson stick I thought I would buy myself a cordless vacuum cleaner so checked out the reviews for a more affordable one and went for the Vax. Just gone over my lounge rug and was amazed with amount of dust it vacuumed up. Good suction and feel’s fairly solid with attachments for stairs and the car all for under 200.
Powerful suctio
I thought my carpet was relatively clean before I used it was shocked by the amount of dust that it pulled up only problem with it if u use highest setting and brush roller at the same time u only get 10 to 15 minutes out of the battery so if u have a big house a second battery might be worth investing in.
I assembled my machine fairly easily (I am 82 years of age) and decided to try it out on my lounge carpet, which had been vacuumed that morning with my Buture cordless vacuum. I could not believe the amount of dog hair that came into my new machine, totally filled the container. Such a shock, as I thought my existing machine was doing a good job with my Smooth Coat Collie’s hairs, which drop all the time.
I am very impressed with this cleaner, a little heavy for me, but that is due to my age. I used attachments for the stairs, which also look a lot better. The battery life is excellent and it recharges very quickly. I highly recommend the Vax Pet cordless vacuum.
We got this to replace our old cleaner made by a well known bag less vacuum company beginning with D after several expensive failures over the years.
So far we have been delighted with the ease of use and, more importantly, the ease of emptying the contents without re-spreading the crap all over the house again! You can detach the waste cylinder from the rest of the unit with a single click and the spring-door opens on cue once you’re over the bin (and press the button, of course).
Changing heads for some of the accessories is straightforward and the whole thing feels light and balanced in the hand.
Suction is fine for light stuff on the lightest setting but we tend to stick to the medium setting on carpets and save the ‘all guns blazing’ setting for more stubborn areas. Battery life is good enough to wiz round our 3 bed semi (with extension) on medium setting with the odd burst of full power.
In terms of its key function, the unit is good. Very good suction, good battery life in the default mode, good quality. It’s not heavy but such is the suction on a carpet it can ‘ stick’ and be difficult to push and pull.
All positive so far, but……..the battery charges by removing it from the unit and plugging it into a charger. It would be so much easier if Vax had fitted a port on the battery or the vacuum cleaner to charge the battery.
The removable capsule to empty the contents is easy to use, however the rubberised vacuum connections will be the first things to wear out….after a month of ownership I can hear a vacuum leak already. Not good.
I would recommend the cleaner, it is quite good value, it cleans well and it’s convenient.
Great hoove
Had to buy a replacement bottom (with the brush) for it because the small roller underneath wore away after about 2 year of using it. Got replacement directly from vax for 60, bit pricey
Labrador Retriever sheds twice a year and this is the ONLY vacuum that picks up all the hair.
We have a Dyson, Vax Platinum Plus carpet shampoo and drying but this is the ONLY vacuum that picks up all the hair. You can actually see the clear cut difference and the sharp edge. Amazing. Turns a 5 hour carpet clean into 20 minutes. Perfect.
Excellent lightweight vacuum
Best cordless vacuum i have purchased and that includes a dyson. Not the lightest but its got a small handle to aid with use. The fluff collector is a bit on the small side so needs emptying more frequently but the suction power is amazing and it really does the job. I have 2 black cats that shed a lot so its used a fair bit. The charge lasts a long time and its also very quick to recharge. The tools provided are excellent and i am very happy with my purchase, even hubby was impressed when he used it recently. We have decided it’s better than our upright vacuum and rarely use that now.

Great value for the money. It is lightweight, second best of the ones I reviewed. Battery life is good. Sufficient to clean 9 rooms and stairs/landing on setting to both brush and suction. Using the extra level of power does drain the battery quickly, but this I very rarely use. You only need to use the suction setting on wooden and stone floors for most lightweight daily clean which prolongs battery life. Time to recharge is good. I don’t think a second battery is necessary.
Great vacumn shame let down by registration of 3 year warrantee.I failed gave up a complicated procedure.
Completed form online for to register but it wants a photo of receipt I now have to use laptop to print a receipt and then use tablet to take picture ,then upload to vax a pain so have not bothered. Also a prize should be given for serial number in very small text and a super long number gigantic etc Iam 64 years and do have computer literacy of a 25 year old who would have studied computer science at school. Battery doesn't last long when on high power mode.
Such a great hover. Works like a treat. My only issue is that when you have the mode on high suction/power mode, the battery doesn’t even last a full 15 minutes even when the battery is fully charged. Still picks up everything and works great on my carpets and my hardwood floors. It doesn’t seem to like my kitchen lino very much but that doesn’t bother me.
Well built and powerful with great support when required
Having owned this for just over a year I can strongly recommend this vacuum cleaner. I have only required support once in the past year when the battery failed to recharge. One call to the support line and a new battery was sent out within 48 hours of the call. Great service!
The vacuum itself is lightweight and powerful. The brush head does a great job on the carpets and it honestly seems to be as good as our large German-made mains-powered machine.
If I could wish for one thing it would be a slightly longer runtime – at maximum power, it is a bit short. However, it is good enough to do two or three rooms at a time and we use it for the upstairs bedrooms where its light weight is an advantage.
Where do I begin? I have been searching for a solution of irradiating the fur of my long haired fur baby and Vax has seemed to answer my prayers.
At a reasonable price and accuracy with the description I have not a single moan.
Weight is no issue as I feel a normal corded vacuum is much heavier and I was able to clean upstairs and down with plenty of battery to spare. I even got to go over the sofas

Powerful but battery life average
It’s a pretty good vacuum cleaner. If you use it with standard suction power then it’s good for everyday cleaning (keep up work basically). They say it lasts 35 minutes like that. If you use full power it won’t last you long (7/10 minutes maybe?). Overall, 4 out of 5 because battery life is on par with others and longer if not using full power. Wish it came with a flexible tube instead of having to buy one.
Was amazed what was still in my carpet despite vacuuming every other day… the suction/power is amazing.
Bought this to replace my dyson V6 pet and so glad I did. Only issue is it is a bit heavy to use compared with my old dyson stick but I suppose I will get used to that. You really notice the extra weight when using as a handheld for stairs so if you have problems with wrists so could be a problem for you.
But if not, go online and buy one today whilst on offer…..
The only negative is the battery life is not that great, but we live in an apartment so it’s perfect for that. When we buy our house I will defo have to invest in a second battery. Picks up so much hair you would never see!
There’s no doubt that it’s on the heavy side but I choose the think of it as a ‘free exercise’ with the weight replacing dumbbells (if I were ever to use such things and, if I did, it would the super light weight girly ones! ).
But what a game-changer! No more lugging the big vacuum cleaner around and having to faff about plugging in the cord, then plugging it in elswhere as it’s not long enough. Instead I can whip around the house quickly with the battery having plenty of capacity to do the rounds.
Good addition to my household.

Taking the Vax apart is a bit fiddly. I like the light at the front.
I found it a bit heavy to use on the stairs, it may be ok for someone stronger, but for an older person they may struggle.
Good value for money
Does the same job as more expensive cordless vacuum cleaners.
The battery charge lasts quite well, but if the machine is used on the higher settings it is used a lot quicker.
At first I found replacing the dust collection container tricky to replace, but with practice became it easier.
I find it picks up more dust and small debris than my previous cleaners and is fairly easy to use on the stairs.
Bought from Amazon Warehouse so the packaging was slightly damaged, but the vacuum itself is brand new.
Couldn’t believe how much dirt it sucked up from the carpet!
Battery lasts well if you don’t use the power booster, but you only get one battery so make sure you charge it when it gets down to one bar. The charge process takes a few hours.
Only downside to this vacuum is the weight. After using it for 5-10 minutes my arm starts to ache, so I wouldn’t have thought it would be suitable for the older folk.
Heavy but does the job
Works well for a battery operated cleaner. I use on max power and with brush and get 15 minutes of battery life. Looking at spare battery but expensive at 80 for original product. Not sure about aftermarket alternatives.

Faulty
Reported to vax , how do I return this and get a refund . Disappointing it’s faulty in less than 12 months. The brush head will no longer turn and the noise is overwhelming.

Not one to usually write reviews but I am so impressed with this vacuum I felt it’s worth writing one. After purchasing several models of similar dyson models at a much more expensive price I decided to give this a chance. Glad I did, not only have I saved money but the vacuum does a much better job than the dyson. Would highly recommend
Brilliant vacuum
Little bit tricky to put together, but once the battery was fully charged, my god!! I never realised that my previous hoover (which was also a Vax) never picked up everything. I have a long haired cat, and the power brush mode, picked up every single hair. My rug looks brand new now. Very happy
A 'must have' for the home
This Vax Pet Blade is excellent. Having three medium sized dogs, you can imagine the amount of hair that is distributed around the home. With the brush-less motor and great suction, it does a great job of cleaning up. Being cordless too, it’s so handy to just lift from it’s cloakroom storage station when required. It actually works so well, that you need to empty and clean the machine quite often, which is not a complaint. I can see now why it received a ‘best buy’ award. Highly recommended to anyone considering a purchase. You won’t be disappointed.
Love this Vaccum cleaner. Shame about the battery time
Always wanted a Dyson but as they are very expensive, I thought I’d try some cheaper versions.
I bought a Prosenic which was ok but the battery only lasted 10mns. I returned it and researched a new one.
I purchased this one and I am very, very happy. Seeing the amount of dust it picks up everytime I use it and how clean my carpet afterwards. I am pleased.
The suction is powerful and the motorised brush is making a huge difference so I have it on when I use it on the carpet.
The only issue is the battery.. It doesn’t last 45mns for me. I would say 20mns top which isn’t enough to hoover the entire fla

I would have liked a bit more power. My 15 year old Dyson is as strong. But this is a lot lighter to carry around.
Brilliant for Pet Hair etc
Great little hoover for small jobs. I have four cats and it made short work of hairs caught in rugs and also for my hard floors.
Drum is small and requires a few trips to empty BUT well worth it for the great results.
It is light and easy to handle.

This is a great vacuum. Purchased for upstairs and it’s lightweight, easy to empty and the suction rivals my corded uprights of a well known brand. I actually prefer to use this one over my downstairs one.
Great cleane
Was a little unsure how this would perform after having used Dyson uprights for a number of years. Have to say i’ve not been disappointed by this Vax. It is so much lighter and easier to use than a normal upright, with virtually the same level of suction, it cleans perfectly.
Battery has just enough power to run on full suction through a large 3 bed house. Will look at getting a 2nd battery sometime, but at nearly 80, will wait until the price hopefully drops.
Best vacuum cleaner we've ever had
We bought this Vax to keep upstairs so as not to have to carry our Dyson up and down the stairs.
When it arrived we vacuumed the downstairs first with our Dyson, then to see if it was any better immediately went over the same area with the Vax. We were amazed how much it picked up. Since then the Dyson has been confined to the cupboard and only the Vax gets used.

The suction power on this is amazing and the attachment for the stairs make it easier to clean. Having a separate battery charging port makes it so much easier to store it.

The suction and cleaning of floors is excellent. There are a couple of things to note. Most people move a vacuum cleaner backwards and forwards. It’s important to note that with cordless models if the brush bar is rotating you cannot do this without lifting the head off the carpet slightly. The reason being the protection device will trip out as it thinks the bar has jammed. This isn’t a fault, but it’s not something I was used to and is something to be aware of . Also, because it is so good at sucking up the dust and hairs the collection bin has to be emptied regularly and initially very quickly.
Run time isn’t huge, but then it’s so easy to use a quick regular run over is all that’s needed. I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and effectiveness of this little vacuum and have no reservations in recommending it, in my opinion in preference to the Dyson or any of the others.
Brilliant vacuum for pets
So glad we finally decided to buy a ‘proper’ vacuum. The fact that it’s cordless is great but what’s amazing about this vacuum is the turbo and brush roll settings – the amount of hairs and dust that came up from our carpets was quite shocking! Great to move about and easily gets under hard to reach places. We enjoy doing the hoovering now!
