Picks up well and sucks close to the carpet very efficiently
down side for me the brush stops rotating when in upright position so I cannot use it in upright position on the stairs and have to use the tools.
Hope it lasts longer than my old VAX but so far so good.
I only have hard floors, but the suction was good, quite light weight, easy to hold, cord length ok, although have no stairs. Give it 9 out of 10. Worth buying.
After having a vax for many years, it needed updating. It’s a good Hoover so far, only had it for a short period. I saw that a lot of reviews commented on the short pipe and initially thought it was way too short myself. But the long handle of the hoover itself can be attached to the pipe. You can then carry the hoover using a purple handle, it’s actually quite useful for stairs etc. You don’t have a huge handle in your way. See pictures attached. Hope this helps someone! X

Really powerful but not lightweight, as per ad. Very clunky and stairs are hard to hoover due to very short extendable tube. Carpets look brand new though.
This is a wonder. Powerful and light. It works great on my hard floors with the brushes turned off and the vent open a little so that I can actually move it the suction is so strong. Brushes turned on for the rugs and the house is done in short time. Easy to empty and this has to be done each time I vacuum as so much dog and cat hair is removed. I only have 1 dog and 1 cat but vacuuming twice a week you would think I had a dozen. Great little machine and fantastic value for money. It’s not a dyson I have had 2 of them in the past and I think this is better.
Great vacuum cleaner, quiet, very powerful suction, useless for stairs and the cord far too short. Unfortunately had to send it back to get the more expensive one (extra 18 quid) so we’ll have to wait and see. Ideal for a bungalow!!
I bought this vacuum cleaner because my old vacuum cleaner has outlived its usefulness. In many cases, there is a lot of hair on my floor and this vacuum cleaner handles it well. But due to the heavy weight and the short cord, the ceiling and stairs will be difficult areas to clean.
Overall i’m delighted with this Vax UCA1GEV1 Machh Air Upright Vacuum Cleaner, the suction is very good,
not to heavy or cumbersome, i like the seperate power button for the front brush roller, i think an extension
tube for better reach when cleaning cleaning stairs etc could be included in the package.
I have since purchased a second Vax UCA1GEV1 Mach Air Upright Vacuum Cleaner, and two 2mtr extension hoses, the spares seem reasonasbly priced on the Vax web pages.
As I live in a flat stairs don’t come into it. I do however have two cats so hair to deal with. I have also developed a very sore hip so only reason to buy a new vacuum was to have something lighter that could also deal with cat hair. No, it isn’t the lightest but enough to make the difference being a little more than half the weight of my beloved Hoover. The suction is brilliant so it cleans really well. My only negative is that changing from carpet to tools is not the easiest for someone who isn’t too good at bending. However I solved this by lifting vac onto footstool to change to tool option. Emptying and checking filters is simple. All in all I’m happy I chose this one and recommend it.
Not a bad light weight hoover works well on most floors except I would say deep pile with the great suction it makes it difficult to move over the deep pile, the hose is disappointing very short although you can carry the hoover due to it being light the hose and attachments struggle to reach high up. We bought this to replace our old dyson which was on it’s way out. It’s much quieter which is good and the suction seems to be ok. It’s a bit fiddly to use the long hose and the cylinder isn’t huge but works fine for our 2 bedroom flat.
All in all, good value for the price!
I really love this vacuum cleaner. It takes up very little space which I need in my small home and really sucks up the dirt. I couldn’t believe what came off my living room carpet the first time I cleaned it with this, the tank was full and I had just vacuumed 3 days prior with my old one. It is light weight and super easy to clean and good to go in minutes once unpacked. My only grumble is that it isn’t so easy to get into difficult places once you have undone the nozzle and fixed on one of the accessories. The reason for this is that the lead to the nozzle is fixed to the vacuum and whilst it stretches out I find it a bit restricting. I would have preferred it if that lead was free and this is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
The first thing that comes to mind when hearing the word Vax is price as Vax is one of the more costly vacuum and carpet cleaning machines. However, what also comes to mind when hearing the word VAx is quality and a machine that lasts and does a good job. This machine is no exception except that the price is good for this brand.
The cleaner itself has a bit more length to cable so can reach a little further, it has a fair bit of power and is quite good with the suction. It can draw debris and dust from quite deep into the carpet thus doing a better than average vacuum job. However, it doesn’t get to the very deepest part of the carpets but what does one expect from a vacuum that is only one step up from an average vacuum which is only one step up from a budget cleaner?
The cleaner is a little on the heavy side but not too heavy.
When vacuuming there is a slide on the head so one can easily set the machine to vacuum kitchen and bathroom floors, parquet, wooden floors and thin carpets before adjusting the slide before vacuuming a deep pile carpet.
Overall, this Vax does a very good job and is much easier to empty the debris than my previous vacuum. Even the head and rollers are simple to keep free of materials such as hair, cotton, loose carpet fibres etc.
I am going to recommend this Vax Vacuum Cleaner as it really is good quality, well built, strong, powerful and is good value for money.
This machine is good if you have dogs and shedding coats. light weight but does not look a quality machine but it does the job and a good price. dont be put off by the appearance . easy to use.
Great vacuum cleaner. Nice & compact and does a good job picking up so much more than my old vacuum did. Cable is really long and can get in the way though. Would have been useful to have hooks to wrap it round when not in use.

My old vax died after 13 years of coping with every mess my kids threw at it, Kirby grips when my daughter was a teenager was a particular problem as were the little plastic balls my son trailed everywhere after football practice on artificial pitches. This was the cheapest vax and I’m very impressed with it. The design is better than my old one, it’s much lighter and it’s easier to empty, just shows that a basic model now is so much better than the state of the art model from years ago my last one was. I wouldn’t buy any other make, delighted with this.

My first time using a VAX and I find the suction better than Dyson! Such a good price as well. My only criticism is that the tube that is meant to do the stairs can make the unit topple over so not ideal, and I can’t for the life of me work out how to get the brush head out to clean! Would recommend.
arrived on time and as stated. Picks up really good on hard floors, not 100% on carpets but pretty good all round for the price. Pleased with item as very light and easy to use. Would have liked a slightly longer extension tube to reach high points, otherwise great.
I actually had another one sent to me because the motor burnt out within weeks of having it and it just wouldn’t turn on one day. It was only when I opened the filters that I could see it was black with smoke. I was given a replacement and can see a similar thing happening again but have used for a few months and its still going.
I have carpets so did adjust the vent to suit the type of pile that I had so not sure why it would be burning out other than being faulty. Think I will be going elsewhere once this one dies.
my last vacuum cleaner was a Vax Mach Air upright vacuum cleaner that lasted for years.So it was an easy decision to buy another one.They are very lightweight with very good suction.I am 71 this year so this was my first go to choice.Very good machine and good reasonable price.Would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner.
This replaced a 2KW Bissell vacuum and I thought it would be too lightweight to come up to the standard of the old cleaner but it actually dragged up tons of hair and dust that weren’t visible and really brought up the carpet pile. I’m very impressed. It feels fragile so hoping it will last.
The vacuum cleaner has a very long cord and the hose extends a long way for cleaning stairs etc. Suction power is strong (I had to put it on its lowest setting or it is hard to push on carpet). It is fairly light and easy to move around, and above all it is good value for money compared to rivals.
I love this hoover and it’s put my old one to absolute shame! I hoover every days and I am shocked how much this has sucked up, when the brush spins in the head of the hoover it can get hard to maneuver and abit tiresome but my lord I am now dust and fluff and cat hair free absolutely love it well worth the money
Don’t have stairs in my house , great value vacuum cleaner, fantastic suction,as good as any dyson or any other brand.now vacuum is not heavy and that is a good thing but don’t expect this cleaner to take a lot of abuse , not the build quality of much more expensive cleaners but for 80 and a bit of care will do everything any other brand will do , suction tube for connecting brushes for cleaning seats etc could be longer but that would be my only real complai
This is a fab little machine, great suction and hoovers up all my cats hair!! Hooray!! No more black fluff everywhere. It’s light, and easy to use. The only thing I would say is that the hose for stairs or using the pole to do higher areas or skirting boards isn’t the best. You have to unclip take the hose from the bottom and attach it to the handle pole. It’s easy enough to do but just a faff. It would also be handy if there was an attachment for the stairs. But can’t complain for a Hoover that works at a low price and clears up all the cat hair hooray!! It’s as good as a Dyson at a fraction of the cost. Thanks Vax!
I replaced my old upright with a cordless vacuum six months ago and realised recently how much dust was collecting on my furniture, the cordless (although great on hard floors) was rubbish on carpets and rugs. Purchased this Vax upright just for the non hard surface areas and as you can see, after vacuuming the areas with the cordless first, I then ran the Vax machine over the same area; this is the amount of dirt, fluff and dust that came from 2/3 minutes vacuuming. Very impressed. The suction on this machine is amazing and I will see in a day or so whether the film of dust stays away from the furniture. Haven’t yet used on the stairs but its probably too cumbersome for that; but quite happy to continue with my cordless for the stairs!! Product was delivered within 24 hours and was very easy to assemble, just the handle to insert really and a bit of packaging to remove.
As I discovered – Vax have been very sneaky. If you want the original of this model it no long comes with an extension hose or adjustable handle.
The model is now called – Vax Air Stretch and is slightly more expensive.
This hoover has great suction, which is great if you are doing floors or skirting boards. Forget stairs and cobwebs.

I was having problems to find a vacuum that works well on my carpet until I found this one.
— Pros: It is very powerful and it suctions everything. Now I can vacuum a room in like 5 minutes when before it took me much more time and effort.
–Cons: It is heavy, it is difficult to clean the hairs that remain stuck in the roller and it is difficult to clean the corners and borders. It would be nicer if it comes with a useful accessory to make this easier since the one that came with it is not the best.
Overall, for the price, it is working well so far. Depending on your budget this might be a good option.
This Hoover is great. Me and my gf recently got a house and needed a Hoover. The power and suction of this is great with two different modes for deep carpet or flooring. Unplug the pipe at the bottom and attach the hose to get into tight corners. Only downside with this Hoover is that there’s no handy tool (only the one in the picture) that comes with it for the stairs. 10/10 must buy if you’re looking for a great Hoover that doesn’t break the bank.

Has a control slide to hoover hard floors or carpet both are excellent,hose is at the front right side remove the handle insert the hose great suction great getting into corners under the bed or sofa I really highly recommend this hoover far best hoover iv ever bought I would buy again .
Price is so reasonable also has a disposable dirt cylinder press a button opens up ,it’s rather small cylinder ,needs emptied daily ,but in saying this keeps hoover clean doesn’t block up .

Some people in their reviews have commented that it’s flimsy, light weight and not robust.
It is lightweight which is good when doing stairs etc. As ping as it’s not abused whilst hoovering I don’t see this being a problem with the flimsy aspect.
The suction is amazing, I was shocked what came out of my carpets on using this for the first time. It’s still amazing suction several weeks in.
Easy to use. My only gripe is that when using the hose to get into nooks and crannies, you have to hold the vacuum because if you don’t, it falls over, generally against your leg, ankle etc. This may stop once the hose had been stretched a few times.
I prefer this version to my other Vax where you have to put on a plaster accessory to do vinyl/laminate flooring, that’s so annoying. But this one you just adjust the suction with the air flow shield, much better.
Really impressed with this Vax.
This has good suction power, the brush bar does a good job in cleaning up all sorts debris. The only drawback which is why I’ve only given it 4* is the lead which is a nuisance there is nowhere to hold any spare length when cleaning so you have to hold the excess length when cleaning or it trails all over the floor getting under the cleaner or tangling round your feet, otherwise a good cleaner.
The suction power i found excellent, which has to be the first consideration when buying a vacuum cleaner. I have the old version vax upright which is still working well after many years and the build quality and spares availability i find very good. With the old model i have to remove the lid of the waste canister to empty ,but with mach. air i like the flap bottom release so much easier. The only negative i found was the extension for hose is short for ceiling use , so purchased a very good extension 32mm. dia. kit from spares 2 go for under 12 which includes various heads. I also removed hose restrictor ( purple ring 1 screw) to improve hose expansion. I also like the separate brush motor button ,with the earlier model this ran even when upright with hose attached.
When I got the hoover yesterday I was happy with how easy it was to put together. Literally three pieces slotting on and that’s it.
It’s also much lighter and quieter than my old one. Due to this I was dubious if it was going to pick up as well as my old one so I went over my flat one last time with my old one first before immediately using the new one.
My one bedroom flat is fairly small and it filled the tank with dog hair and dust without any effort. I couldn’t believe how much had been left behind by my old one to be honest. My cream carpets looked noticeably cleaner and it left suction marks where the roller had been.
That doesn’t mean it has to be hard to push around though. I have back problems and my old one hurt my back a fair bit but the new one you can adjust the roller pressure on your carpet with a slider so it doesn’t feel hard to push.
Now I’m not saying this hoover is perfect. The edge to edge cleaning is pretty awful to be honest and my old one actually did a better job in that aspect but since it’s a small front, it can go under furniture easier.
The main things I dislike about it are the hose and emptying the bin. The hose is clipped onto the roller rather than on the back like my old one. This means you have to lean right over it it to unclip it and on the back there’s a stupid plastic ring that stops you moving the hose around much. It pretty much forces you to disconnect the handle and use it to extend the hose to pick stuff up. It did pick stuff up well though as you would expect from a new hoover. My old one would struggle with hay from my guinea pig on the floor that he booted out of his cage but this one deals with it fine.
Emptying the bin is a pain too. I assume this is because its a much newer model than my old one but it has two filters (on top of the bin and underneath) whereas my last one had one (underneath). This means when you need to empty it, you press the button for the flap underneath to open up and the stuff falls out itself…. Which is fine until you get dust and dog hair which crams the bin and won’t come out. This means the only option is to remove the top and take it apart but when you remove the top there’s the second filter just mushed into the bin really solidly. An older person would not be able to empty the bin this way as I had to exert some strength to get it out myself.
As well as this, apparently the filter on top needs cleaning every few months going by the sticker on top of it which you can only see when you take it apart.
I’ve had issues with a Vax product before but if this hoover stays around the level it is now I will be very happy with the purchase. I nearly spent double to get a shark hoover but I don’t think it would be any better in terms of use than this one so far.
I will update this review in a few months and let you know if it remains decent or the suction degrades.

Hose is not very long at all, makes it difficult to reach higher places. Dont get me wrong the extension bit (the handle for upright use) is a decent length but the flexible hose just isn’t really flexible and its rather short.
As the good points out weigh the bad it definitely makes up for its minor flaws.

Yes a cleaner that does what it was made for, highly recommend this if your looking for a vacuum cleaner, a wee bit fiddly at first but after a couple of times you get to know how everything works, just like anything new to you, this has great suction for carpets, wood or tiles floors, just flip a switch, easy.
It’s the lightest and easiest to carry that I’ve ever had, and it really does take up all dirt etc.
I like the No dust bag element to this and the fact it’s easy to empty and generally use, the only problem is the hose fitment and the fact it does not reach halfway up a staircase and is slightly to big to place on a step. Also as yet I’ve not managed to source the tool kit which may help with that. Overall great hoover and it does the job intended excellently. at such a good price as well
eplaced my previous Vax U-90 with this model. I was very happy with the suction on the previous hoover and was hoping this would be just as good. Delighted to find the suction is even stronger, you really feel the machine grip the carpet. As a result this makes it slightly heavier to push than the previous model. A small price to pay for a machine which does a superb job!
For the price I am pleased with the purchase. The suction is actually pretty impressive for a lightweight hoover. Emptying the cylinder is easy enough. The attachment and tube for smaller tasks is very short and a bit awkward and not great for stairs but overall I am happy with it.
Great little vacuum for the money. Lightweight, and has incredible suction power, which is adjustable with the slide control on the brush head. Another great feature is that you can turn off the rotating brush. The brush also cuts out if you catch the edge of a carpet etc, so the drive belt doesn’t break.

4/6 of our rooms have thick carpets, and this works great on them. We were amazed with how much this vacuum was able to pick up. It’s also very light and easy to push and pull – even on the carpets. It also works really well on our tile and wood floors – there’s a switch on the bottom so you can easily switch the suction from deep pile to hard wood. We don’t have stairs so I can’t speak for that. The one issue is that the hose is really short, so you have to move the vacuum quite frequently when using that function.
I always think you have to go expensive with vacuums to have good suction. Well, I’ve used Henry’s, Dyson, Shark, however all pale in comparison to this. It’s so strong that sometimes it’s harder to push! It genuinely has the best suction power I’ve ever had from a vacuum cleaner. We have a cat and it has no issue picking up the hairs from the carpet.
The price is absolutely incredible for what you get. It’s fantastic for stairs and overall I can’t believe how great it is.
The only cons are that you have to manually disconnect the tube leading to the brushes if you want to change to the precision head. This involves kneeling, it’s not fiddly but if you aren’t able to do that it might not be for you.
The cord length is also fantastic, it’s so long and the whole machine is really easy to empty too!
Ultimately I’m extremely happy with my purchase and think it’s the best vacuum you can buy for less than 100 maybe even more!
Liked the power and suction which is 1st class. Plastic carry handle feels a bit flimsy but that may just be my imagination. Removable handle which accepts attachments is neat but a bit on the long side for some jobs although tools can be attached directly to the extending hose . All in all I am well pleased with this vacuum cleaner but some may not care for the colour but I purchasing a house-cleaning tool, not a fashion accessory.

Only downside is using the extended arm- so to do the stairs/ ceilings ect as the tube is restricted and is being pulled downwards when you’re trying to reach upwards or forwards…. definitely drawback- but I’m moving to a flat- so hopefully not as much a problem- Great Vacuum!! A very good vacuum cleaner which makes cleaning carpets very easy. The switch to turn the brushes on and off is very accessible as is the on/off switch. it is also easy to empty..
The only negative is a very short hose for the accessories. This means that you have to carry it up the stairs as you clean them.
The suction of this hoover is unbelievable, I can’t hoover doormats even holding them down it just sucks them up. (There is a little reduce suction bit and definitely need to use this on mats, rugs) overall this is great, and a bargain for the price. I have 1 dog and 3 very hairy cats that malt. Brilliant for this. Easy to use the only downside to this is the handle height can not be altered. From floor to the very top where the purple bit is above the handle it is 114cm. I’m 5,7 and find this ok but much shorter people may find it uncomfortable.
Have had it a week now & so far,so good. Surprised at how good it is. Tackles my dogs hair with ease,which I’m very pleased about. For the price,it’s a must. Good brand & hopefully last me for a while. Had a cordless Dyson for 4 years but that just stopped doing the job & had to go,especially after a new battery & having cleaned filters. This is a really good hoover as it is lightweight and has good suction. The only thing I’m not keen on is the handle you hold to push it as it isn’t overly comfortable. As with most upright hoovers it is a little awkward on stairs as the pipe doesn’t stretch long enough to reach the full length so you have to carry the whole hoover up the stairs as you go. It’s easy to empty and clean.
Although granted it is 2020 and everything else is pretty pants by normal standards. I thought my carpets were pretty clean considering they’re 7 years old and my kids are droppers, especially of anything which colourful and edible. But this vacuum showed me the errors of my ways. Really is like having new carpets. Only pain in the ass is having to detach the hose from the front to use any of the nozzle attachments. But that’s not a massive ball ache so can’t fault it really
Initially I miss reading and I thought I could also wash the carpets. (read many comments and got confused) although it’s an amazing hoover. The power is really strong and all hairs disappear. Couldn’t believe how much dirty was on the carpet.

However it’s worth noting I live in a one level apartment with no pets and if I wanted to offer a note about anything I would say it takes a little effort to use on a thick pile carpet.
However any vacuuming takes some effort so take that how you want.
I bought this product because my beloved Dyson wouldn’t pick up from the rollers, although worked well with the hose. It turned out that the pipe just above the rollers was totally blocked with dog hair, and I’m pleased to say is now working again. However, I ordered the Vax thinking it would be no bad idea to have a second vacuum that I could use upstairs (if the Dyson could be mended) to save me lugging the heavy Dyson upstairs.
I read the reviews, including the negative ones, but thought, as it was so relatively inexpensive, that it would be fit for purpose in the short term. When it arrived, I was eager to get it out and try it. Wow! I don’t think I have ever known such suction! On the downside, I had to empty the small container frequently, but it was very easy and my carpet looked fabulous afterwards. I got a bit confused when trying to use the hose because it connects at the base of the machine, which I realised on a second reading of the instructions – my mistake, not theirs! The pipe doesn’t reach very far, (hence the four star rating for the cleaning of stairs) even when extended with the crevice tool, however, the cleaning power is really good. I would recommend it to anyone if you don’t have a massive house to clean, and the weight of it is good if you need something light.
Love this vac. Love everything about it except for use on stairs as very difficult just using the hose which detaches from the unit but it does not extend very much and with the other hand you have to try and balance the entire machine on a stairs step. Other than that it is excellent for both carpet and wooden and laminate flooring. Quick and easy to empty. Good value overall, just wish the stair option was more effective. Perhaps I am using it wrong?
Purchased this vacuum, used it 4 times since and it’s great. Powerful suction, relatively good manoeuvrability and good extension pieces. Our old vacuum was at the end of it’s life so hardly sucking up anything at all – I’m embarrassed to say what height the dust container got to, but let’s just say it did a fantastic job making up for loss of suction from the old one. It has a good length power cord to get around more than half of a two bed flat without having to change to another plug. It is a little heavy though and with the suction power it can require a little effort. Also not much, if any, dust particles floating around in the air (which you can sometimes see if the sun is streaming in) after vacuuming. Great purchase, no regrets, speedy delivery and I recommend it.
I own a flat with only two rooms that have carpet and for something like that it is perfect, light weight and has very high suction power. For the price of this hoover compared to other ones in the price bracket it works a lot better. Very easy to move around and easy to remove dust and dirt. The only issue I find with it is that it is quite poor around the edges of the room so may take a couple of runs over to get the dust from around the skirting board.
Was sceptical about this vacuum as it was so cheap but it has not disappointed. Very lightweight but with fantastic suction it picks up everything brilliantly and I have 3 dogs so I’ve put it through it’s paces. For the money you can’t go wrong, not so great for stairs in terms of design but no different to most uprights, good suction, picks everything up even dog hair, would definitely buy again and recommend.

I love it. I never usually have much look with vacuums. My last 1 was rubbish in comparison.
This really does get up all the fluff, hair and bits! I was shocked at how much it picked up in the 1st test…proving my other 1 wasnt any good.
This is an ‘old’ style vacuum.. so isnt great for getting into nooks and crannies or stairs but it’s pretty lightweight so can be carried on the stairs. I recommend this! Easy to empty and does compare to the Dyson range for a cheaper price.
Brought for my nan she’s 74 her hoover broke ordered two days later it came. She’s just rang astonished and sooo happy with it. She’s gone through many in her time and she said this is definitely on her top 5 list. She was so shocked how much was picked up just by one rug. My nan is very house proud and is so happy. She most definitely recommends and she also said the delivery driver was very polite xxxx
Hoover arrived quickly.though it had clearly been used it seemed tidy and good condition.Good suction and I am really pleased with it except the brush button dousnt work so the brushes don’t rotate unless I hold the button .I can live with that .Good value
This upright vacuum cleaner is very good and deserves 5 stars because it is easy to use and all in one piece. Quick to empty the dust and it has not bag. For difficult to reach areas, you can quickly get the extension out of the body the handle bar that turns into a lance. It also has a rotary brush that can be put on and off with a button. Do not have stairs, but it may not be the best. Still given the 5 stars as for me is just perfect.
I have had this Vax vacuum cleaner for only one day and already I have filled the dust container twice in my small home – my previous light chargeable hoover was very easy to use, but obviously had not been very efficient at removing the deeper dirt from my carpets. I took a little time working out how to use the hose, empty the dust holder etc, but, once dicovered, it is all very simple. I do not have stairs, so cannot say how easy it would be to use the hose attachment on stairs. I highly recommend this vacum cleaner.
Brought product again , so so pleased with my old vax hoover ,needed to upgrade… only just received my new vax so need to try it out , only fault I found with my old vax hoover , when I needed to hoover stairs , found attachment too tight to release , may been due to Arthur in my hands , And far too much lead , hoping I’m just as pleased with my new vax hoover …..
The suction power on this Hoover is amazing my carpets have never looked so good it is lightweight so easy to carry upstairs the only thing I don’t like is the emptying it should be easy just flip the catch and it falls out into the bin however a lot of the dust and rubbish seem to get stuck too far up round the filter and it’s really hard to get out i normally have to get a long knife and try and pull it down

Excellent suction power and with little noise. I believed the handle was already connected to the hose and ready for instant use but I was wrong. The handle part needs to be connected manually to the hose which has to be disconnected from the front roller every time you wish to use the handle part as a ‘wand’. This is fiddly to do and the only disappointment to me. Otherwise it is a very good vacuum cleaner and the first one I have owned that is low enough to actually go underneath my central heating radiators. As for use on my stairs; It is not what I expected. It is great for my hard wood floors as I can easily switch off the front roller so no damage will be caused to my floor. Despite the stair problem I am still very happy with my purchase. The cable length is also more than long enough to go from room to room without changing power outlets.
Marks out of ten from me is 7/10.

the suction on this is very powerful
the is great i will say tho with full suction i could see people struggling to push it on carpet as it literally sticks to the floor as its so powerful but in my eyes thats great you can adjust the suction power tho

Sooo I’ve never owned a vacuum cleaner this good. Didn’t realise how much hair was lying around LOL! All in all a great product. I found it hard to clean the stairs with as it’s a bit clumsy to move around on the stairs even with the attachment. It fills quite quickly so you have to empty it often and I wish there was a better solution to cleaning the rotating brush as it quite annoying having to fish the hair out.
Like I said never owned a really good vacuum until now so to me this is the king of all hoovers.it picks up EVERYTHING including pet hairs. Would highly recommend.
I’m a person who vacs the house every other day so I need a vac not a toy or a fashion statement. Usually need to replace a vac within a couple of years & got sick of forking out money for the more expensive brands. Had this Vac vac a couple of weeks now & so far, very impressed. FAR more powerful than the hoover it replaced – in fact amasingly so – no height adjustment to bother about – you change the suction by way of a slider on the main vac body according to floor type. I can only ever use it at half suction because if you run it over say a door mat, the mat becomes attached to the vac!! It’s obviously great to have a surplus of power instead of as is too often the case, the other way round.
Another feature I like is the ability to switch the beater bar on & off – necessary for hard floors & invaluable for when you’re using the vac stationery say on the staircase.
Really chuffed with this and purchased a second one.
Highly recommend this.
I like the option of selecting the suction for different piles of carpet (still caters for bare floor as well!)
..and a bit longer cable (not much, but better!)
Also, the fact that the filters (ALL) match my old one, so no need for the expense of replacing all the filters (pre- and after motor)! Well done Vax!!
A lot of sucking power for a vacuum, effortlessly moves from vinyl to floor boards to carpet. Really pleased with it!
Also the holder is not adjustable, meaning you are not able to extend it for convenience.
On overal, good hoover just a shame about the above.
